Summary: Former Benue State governor’s aide, Franc Utoo, has alleged that one of the Fulani militants who killed over 200 people in the June 2025 Yelwata attack was a serving Nigerian Army officer, identified through an ID card found on his body. He says this discovery suggests state involvement and complicity in the killings. His revelation has reignited debates on the true identity of the attackers, as former Governor Samuel Ortom has long accused Fulani militias of collaborating with terrorists, while current Governor Hyacinth Alia insists the killers are mostly foreign fighters. Utoo’s claim has since gone viral on social media.
Franc Utoo, a former Special Assistant to a past Governor of Benue State, has made a startling allegation regarding one of the state’s deadliest attacks. According to him, an active-duty Nigerian Army officer was discovered among the Fulani militants who carried out the massacre in Yelwata, Benue State.
The incident in question is the June 2025 attack in Yelwata, where more than 200 residents were killed by suspected Fulani militias. Speaking in an interview, Utoo claimed that while the attackers were retreating, some were neutralized, and one of the bodies recovered was that of a serving soldier. He said the soldier was found with his military identification card still in his pocket.
Utoo described this discovery as a clear sign of “state collusion” and “complicity,” insisting that such involvement points to a deliberate and coordinated agenda against the people of Benue.
The former governor under whom Utoo served is believed to be Samuel Ortom, known for repeatedly warning about Fulani herdsmen attacks and accusing them of working with other extremist groups. The current governor, Hyacinth Alia, has also condemned the violence but maintains that the perpetrators are primarily foreign fighters — possibly from Mali — rather than local Nigerian Fulani.
Utoo’s claims have since gone viral on social media, circulating widely on Instagram, Facebook, and across various news platforms as people continue to express concern over the worsening insecurity in Benue State.
Elderly Woman Injured in Eruku Church Attack Receives Aid From Harrison Gwamnishu
Harrison Gwamnishu today visited the elderly woman featured in the viral video from the recent attack on CAC Church in Eruku, Kwara State. The video showed her desperate attempt to escape the terrorists. According to Gwamnishu, the woman is still in pain, and immediate assistance has been provided to cover her medical needs. He also revealed that the terrorists have been contacting the families of the victims to demand ransom.
About a month ago, Sahara Reporters posted footage showing a truckload of Fulani boys arriving in a community in Kwara State.
At the time, there were speculations that they came for voter registration. Some residents expressed concern about the sudden movement of Fulani youths into the state, but nothing was done. There was no visible investigation — or if any took place, the public never heard about it. Even the mainstream media paid little or no attention.
Though there have been previous reports of attacks in parts of Kwara, things took a darker turn yesterday. A church was attacked during a livestream service in Eruku town. Several people were reportedly killed, while others were said to have been abducted by the terrorists.
Now, we are not categorically claiming that those seen in the month-old video are directly connected to the attack in Eruku yesterday. However, when a particular group has repeatedly been a source of concern and has, on multiple occasions, been caught in violent acts, it becomes only wise to raise an alarm when there is suspicious movement of such people — especially in that manner — into an already tense community and state.
So, who do we hold accountable? Only God knows how many more of these attackers may have been brought into Kwara State and armed.
Yet the Nigerian government does not seem to see this as an urgent issue.
Maybe yesterday’s horrifying attack on the worshippers could have been avoided:
A terrifying livestream from CAC Church in Eruku Town, Kwara State, shows the final moments before gun-wielding terrorists attacked during a church service.
The service was ongoing and being streamed live when gunshots suddenly rang out. Church members ran for safety, but the attackers had already gained access. From the video, it appears the church has only one entrance. Watch until the end to see the full chilling moment.
Meanwhile, a traveller has cried out for help after running into terrorists operating in Eruku town in Kwara State, near the boundary between Kogi and Kwara, this evening. Their vehicle was forced to stop, and they immediately took cover.
According to him, they were travelling from the Federal Polytechnic Bida and driving through Kwara State on the Ilorin–Bida road when they got close to Eruku and suddenly heard heavy gunshots. Residents quickly fled in panic, with many hiding in the bush for safety.
Gunshots were still echoing in the background as he recorded the video, urgently calling on the Nigerian government and security agencies to respond.
A lawyer recently took to social media to teach his followers how to acquire a house for free.
He explained that when someone walks into a neighborhood and sees an abandoned house, they should enter the house and start living there. He said one should simply live in the abandoned house for 10 to 12 years. "Be there, and after ten to twelve years, the house is now your own," he said.
He added, "Just pray that the owner of the house doesn't come before the ten to twelve years to tell you it's his house."
"But after the ten to twelve years, you are the owner of that land. Even if he comes after ten to twelve years, you are now the owner of that land. Just plead adverse possession in court, and that is finish. Immediately the court hears adverse possession, the court will tell the person sorry, the land now belongs to you," he explained.
However, he jokingly warned, "If you are doing this kind of thing, you have to be sure you have JuJu and your JuJu is very strong. Because if the owner of the land comes to court and the court tells him adverse possession, it's now your land, the owner might not want to leave and might go to the other 'court,' and it's not we lawyers that are usually in the other court that I am talking about. We deal with law and not spirit."

Pastor Jimmy Odukoya offered prayers for the Nigerian national team and striker Victor Osimhen ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifier final against DR Congo today.
He said, “Nigeria is playing Congo this evening. I pray that the God who has brought us this far will not bring us this far to leave us alone.”
He then prayed for Victor Osimhen, asking that he finds the net and strikes with precision, in Jesus’ name.
He went further to thank God for the defensive line—Basset, Frederic, and the two in between—praying that they become like a wall that cannot be penetrated, and that every shot is sent back to the sender. He also thanked God for Nwanbali, praying that his feet become swift like the hind legs of an animal, his eyes sharp, his hands strong, and that he is able to catch any arrow.
He prayed further, saying, “As Congo has come, they will go. Congo will come and go! In the name of Jesus, Nigeria will enter the World Cup!” The church chorus joined in with a loud “Amen!”
The hilarious prayer has left many people laughing and loving Pastor Jimmy’s humorous gesture.
A man has raised an alarm after the train he boarded suddenly broke down in the middle of a forest. He explained that the incident happened just a few hours before Itakpe in Kogi State. Describing the risk of being stranded in such an isolated area, he noted that he had to turn on his location so his family would know exactly where he was.
Lamenting the situation, he blamed the government for failing to properly maintain the train system.
Eventually, a truck arrived at the scene, and some passengers were seen rushing to secure a spot. However, it appeared the truck could only take a few people, as many passengers were still left standing and stranded.
The FCDA has withdrawn its bulldozers from the disputed Gaduwa land linked to retired Naval Chief, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo, just a day after FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s heated confrontation with military officers at the same site. Witnesses say Wike’s team quietly left as bystanders booed and chanted “Wike, shame on you!” — a moment many see as a major setback for the Minister following the viral clash where a naval officer boldly told him, “No sir, I am not a fool. I am an officer, and I have integrity.”
Wike Loses Out as FCDA Withdraws Bulldozer from Disputed Land Linked to Ex-Naval Chief
The Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) has reportedly withdrawn its bulldozers and trucks from the disputed land in Gaduwa, Abuja — a property allegedly linked to the former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo (Rtd).
This development comes barely 24 hours after a tense confrontation between FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and military personnel who stopped him and his team from accessing the same site. During that heated encounter, Wike clashed with a naval officer, calling him “foolish,” to which the officer boldly replied, “No sir, I am not a fool. I am an officer, and I have integrity.” The exchange quickly went viral, drawing widespread public reactions and comparisons to past leadership moments, such as Governor Sanwo-Olu’s calm handling of a similar standoff in Magodo.
Now, in a dramatic turn of events, the FCDA bulldozers and enforcement vehicles earlier deployed to clear the site have been moved out, leaving the land untouched. According to eyewitnesses, no FCTA official or staff remained on the ground as of this morning.
Passersby and onlookers were seen cheering and expressing satisfaction over the latest development. The crowd of bystanders reportedly booed Wike’s men as they left the site, with several voices chanting, “Wike, shame on you!” The scene reflected public sentiment against the Minister’s recent actions, which many described as heavy-handed and unpopular.
The viral video capturing the jubilant crowd highlights the growing tension between federal authorities and the military establishment — and how this controversy may have shifted public sympathy away from the FCT Minister.

Regina Daniels lashes out at estranged husband Ned Nwoko, saying ‘Jokes on you, Ned,’ while thanking fans for their overwhelming support amid serious allegations and a highly public marital crisis.
Jokes on You, Ned, You Thought People Would Hate Me” – Regina Daniels Thanks Fans Amid Marital Crisis
Actress Regina Daniels has directed a striking message to her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, saying, “Jokes on you, Ned, because you thought people would hate me.” At the same time, she expressed heartfelt gratitude for the “unbelievable” support she has received from fans amid their ongoing marital turmoil.
In a deeply emotional social media post, Daniels suggested that while Nwoko might have expected a public backlash against her, the reality has been the opposite: an overwhelming wave of encouragement and solidarity that has deeply moved her.
The statement comes in the wake of a very public and heated fallout between the couple, marked by serious accusations from both sides.
Daniels has accused Nwoko of physical and psychological abuse, manipulation, and controlling behavior. She also alleged that he exploited her past drug use for his own sexual gratification, confiscated her phones, and was behind the recent arrest of her siblings.
Meanwhile, Nwoko, a Nigerian senator, has publicly claimed that Regina struggles with substance abuse. He further alleged that her violent and destructive actions, which he says caused property damage, are the result of drugs allegedly supplied by her brother, Sammy.
Regina has maintained that the couple was never legally married in any court of law, insisting that she would have sought a formal divorce if they had been.
Throughout this turbulent period, Daniels has repeatedly expressed gratitude to her fans and family for their unwavering support. She emphasized that their encouragement has been a vital source of strength during what has been an overwhelming and emotionally taxing time

Breaking: Boko Haram Overruns ISWAP in Fierce Battle, Over 100 Dead
A fierce confrontation is unfolding between rival Boko Haram factions and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in the Lake Chad region, particularly in the village of Dogon Chiku. Early reports, including insights from security analyst Zagazola Makama, indicate that Boko Haram is currently gaining the upper hand, with initial casualty estimates reaching around 200 fighters.
The fighting is focused on the Lake Chad area, including Dogon Chiku and Abadam in Borno State. Heavy gunfire could be clearly heard as fighters exchanged shots while moving on boats across the lake, shouting “Allahu Akbar!” during the intense clashes.
Local anti-terror militias and intelligence sources suggest that the death toll could be as high as 200, with most casualties reportedly from ISWAP. Boko Haram appears to have suffered minimal losses during the initial encounters.
The Jama’tu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (JAS) faction of Boko Haram is said to have made significant advances, overrunning ISWAP positions and capturing weapons and equipment.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama continues to provide regular updates, confirming both the high casualty figures and the success of Boko Haram’s offensive.

A young lady has shared the playful way she usually interacts with her father, describing him as her best playmate. However, her video has sparked mixed reactions online. While some viewers found it heartwarming, others criticized it, saying such playful behavior is more common in Western culture and not culturally acceptable in most African homes.
In many African societies, the relationship between a father and his children is built on deep respect, and playful acts like lightly slapping or hitting one’s father — even in jest — are often seen as highly disrespectful.
A young lady has shared how she contributes at home by actively assisting her parents in their palm oil production — but her post has sparked mixed reactions online.
While many people praised her for being hardworking and supportive, others raised concerns about the hygiene and health standards involved in the traditional palm oil-making process. Some even suggested there should be a more hygienic way to do it, while others went as far as saying they would stop eating palm oil altogether.

A Nigerian police officer fired a gun into the air during a clash with FRSC officials over traffic rules. While some blame the officer for overreacting, others criticize FRSC officers for making road users’ lives difficult with unnecessary checks. This incident adds to a history of conflicts between uniformed agencies in Nigeria
Recent reports and video footage have confirmed several altercations between Nigerian police officers and officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). In the latest incident, a police officer was seen firing a gun into the air during a confrontation with road safety personnel. Sources indicate that the clash arose from disputes over traffic rules and jurisdiction.
According to eyewitnesses, the altercation escalated on a busy road when the police officer and FRSC officials began arguing. In response to the rising tension, the police officer reportedly retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and fired it into the air, apparently because the road safety officers “no wan gree for am” — refusing to yield or back down.
While this incident has drawn attention to police misconduct, some members of the public have also criticized the FRSC officers for often making things difficult for road users, citing unnecessary demands and checks that can slow down traffic and create tension.
This episode adds to a troubling pattern of police officers using firearms in disputes with road safety personnel. Similar incidents have occurred in the past:
February 2025, Lagos: A man in police uniform allegedly shot and injured an FRSC official during a nationwide crackdown on fake number plates, prompting the FRSC to suspend the operation.
February 2025, Ojota, Lagos: A police officer reportedly discharged his firearm at road safety officers during a clash before fleeing the scene.
May 2025, Ibadan: A police officer, while firing at a vehicle for a traffic violation during a joint enforcement operation with the state road traffic agency, accidentally killed a 14-year-old student with a stray bullet.
Historically, clashes between uniformed officers are not uncommon in Nigeria. Past incidents have even involved soldiers, underscoring ongoing issues of inter-agency rivalry, lack of discipline, and frequent misuse of authority.

During the Senate sitting on October 21, 2025, a mild drama unfolded involving Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, and Senator Adams Oshiomhole. The exchange began when Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan sought to comment further on the abortion clause in the Criminal Code Amendment Bill, 2025, even after the issue had allegedly already been referred to a committee.
According to our gathering, The bill under discussion seeks to introduce tougher penalties for sexual offenses, including life imprisonment for offenders found guilty of defiling minors. However, during deliberations, lawmakers decided to suspend further debate on sections relating to abortion and pregnancy termination. The decision came amid concerns that unclear wording could endanger women’s lives in medical emergencies or expose doctors to possible legal risks.
Consequently, the controversial clauses were referred to the Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, and Legal Matters for a detailed review, with a report expected within two weeks. Though that part was not captured in the video
The clash: After the matter had been formally stepped down, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan attempted to revisit the abortion clause, insisting she should be allowed to speak since the issue directly affects women. However, Senator Adams Oshiomhole quickly objected, raising a point of order. He argued that parliamentary rules forbid reopening discussions on a matter that has already been concluded, stressing that allowing one senator to speak would mean reopening the floor for everyone.
In his ruling, Senate President Godswill Akpabio upheld Oshiomhole’s objection, referencing Senate Rule 52(6). He maintained that since the Senate had already taken a position to step down the matter, it would be out of order to revisit it.
The brief confrontation underscored the strict adherence to parliamentary procedure and the growing tension between Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan and the Senate leadership. The bill was later forwarded to the appropriate committee for further examination as earlier resolved.
However, the video of the exchange has sparked mixed reactions online. While some viewers believe Senator Natasha was only seeking to express her viewpoint as a woman, others claim she was deliberately shut down due to the ongoing rift between her and the Senate President.
Wahab Aisha, a young woman from Auchi, Edo State, is currently being held captive by kidnappers who are demanding a ₦20 million ransom for her release. She was abducted last week at Igbira Camp, shortly after City College School in Auchi.
A new video, released around October 20, 2025, shows the visibly distressed victim as her abductors renewed their threat to kill her if the ransom is not paid. This marks the second video released since her abduction.
Popular human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu shared the video online, calling on the Edo State Government to take urgent action. Other activists and community members have since joined in, amplifying the family’s plea for help across social media platforms and tagging the Edo State Governor along with other key stakeholders to intervene.
Residents have described the incident as another sign of the growing insecurity in Edo State, which has witnessed several kidnapping cases in 2025. There are now widespread public calls for the state government to address the worsening security situation and ensure the safety of its citizens.
Busty Lady Calls Out Hairstylist But the Comments Are Wild
A busty Nigerian lady has taken to social media to call out her hairstylist over the hair she made just three days ago, which is already looking rough.
According to her, she had wanted to get her hair done, but her regular hairstylist was unavailable. Since she needed it fixed urgently, she decided to try out a new stylist. Unfortunately, the new hairstylist braided the hair poorly.
However, the reactions in the comments section took an unexpected turn. Instead of focusing on her complaint, many viewers shifted their attention to her “frontage.” Some even suggested that the real reason she made the video was to show off her body rather than the hairstyle.
