Anyone travelling to Alaska this August? |
madri4u:My guy they find expo, seems you just want to pass the tests and get 100% so you can get the certificate. (Naija guys, na so e dey be everybody LOL!.) Bros, read that material very well, you'll understand it. the petroleum system chart part is quite tricky and very easy as well. the clue is always given in the mini game. Read every information you see in the mini game, especially the hints usually written at the base of the mini-game dialogue box. I hope this tip is helpful. |
. |
jogojogo:Same here. I applied for the same position and also studied petroleum engineering, No invite yet. I just hope no one has been contacted for this position. Let's remain positive. It should be in batches |
CCsurplus007:Bros u like better thing ooh!.. you dey wait for seplat and pressid.. That's nice! |
On Friday July 18th, I boarded a night bus for the first time in my life. I was very apprehensive given the bad state of our roads and the activities of men of the underworld. The risk associated with travelling by road for 10 long hours and the resources I would expend in the process made the choice a very difficult decision to arrive at, especially when I considered the fact that the result of the exam which I was billed to write could go either way. Just last two weeks, the Petroleum trust development Fund (PTDF), released the list of successful candidates for their oversee scholarship after about 8months of endless waiting. I became worried that some powerful Nigerians may take advantage of the long wait to rig the selection process. My suspicion heightened when a friend called me and asked me to send my particulars, so that his sister who works with the government, can help increase my result score. I regretted not sending my particulars to this friend when last week, a former school mate called me to inform me that he had passed the PTDF exam. Knowing that I did not see him during the exams, I asked him which center he wrote his own exam, he laughed and told me flatly that he didn’t sit for the exams. His name miraculously appeared on the successful candidates list because he has a powerful Uncle who pulled some strings on his behalf. Now you understand why going to Lagos for the exams was a big deal for me. I went anyway; I took the risk to travel to Lagos from Port Harcourt for the Seplat recruitment exam because I needed the job. I have a job, but the opportunity of landing a better job will always be appealing. Luckily, I arrived at the venue of the exams in ample time to brush my teeth and change my shirt. As I readied myself for the test, I met a guy who also came from Port Harcourt for the recruitment exercise and we got talking. He told me how he was invited for a Halliburton interview and I was thinking to myself, ‘this guy must be very intelligent’. I was crestfallen when he told me that he did not even apply for the job in the first place, to talk of sitting for the exams. He was merely invited for the interview at the instance of his highly connected brother who was part of the system. He must have seen the shock on my face because I could barely talk, when he started telling me that he wished he had brought someone to sit for the exam on his behalf. Few months ago, 21 graduates lost their lives in the NIS recruitment exam. Till today, the Minister under whose watch this recruitment heist was pulled off is still at the helms of affair in the Ministry of Interior. Hundreds of thousands of graduates were subjected to an exam when most of the slots have been taken by politicians and top ranking civil servants. We have moved on from that debacle and the millions of naira creamed off from jobless Nigerians are yet to be refunded even after Mr. President’s directive. The government which seems overwhelmed by the present security challenges is barely doing enough to arrest unemployment and the major opposition party seems too busy with insulting the ruling party, that it can hardly find the time to tell Nigerians how they intend to create jobs if elected. Recruitment agencies are cashing in on the misfortune of graduates to rip them off by hoodwinking them with different kinds of graduate programs and fees to help them search for non-existent jobs. Companies on the other hand are making it very difficult for fresh graduates by introducing obnoxious recruitment criteria. If companies are not asking for impossible years of experience (as if you can have an experience without working), they will be calling for age brackets that will disqualify many graduates because of the time wasting NYSC program. This country is becoming increasingly difficult for young Nigerians who do not have connections or are unwilling to soil their integrity. It is a sad reality that in today’s Nigeria, who you know is better than what you read or graduated with. Hard work and competence count for nothing in a nation where nepotism has been elevated mediocrity above excellence. Graduates are becoming desperate as their patience wanes with each passing day, even as they see the opulence displayed by our greedy politicians. My worry is that one day, this critical mass of our population may revolt and its consequences will be worse than the present crisis in the North East. What worries me even more is that more youths are ready to do whatever it takes to become gainfully employed, including selling their conscience. The future of this country will be in dire straits if her future leaders are brought up to believe that honesty, hard work and competence, do not pay. Something urgent needs to be done about the ugly reality of Nigeria graduates. I can only hope for the best as I await the result of the Seplat recruitment exam, since I do not have any big man to plead my case. http://edugist.org/from-experience-the-painful-reality-of-a-nigerian-graduate/ |
Caseless:IMO is no battle ground.. IMO for GEJ!!... Rochas is just deceiving himself.. we knw what we want... |
colossus12:Yeah You're right. I don't blame anybody for scoring high or scoring 90+.. Next time we should all utilize the info we av. Personally, I knew about the brainfriend software but I thought they won't use it this year since evrybody knew about it, I neva knew some badt guys av been studying wth it for months. Should NUC use the software next year, evrybody will score above 90. that way they will come to their senses and do the right thing. As for this year, I dnt thnk up to 10 guys got more dan 90(i stand to be corrected), and i saw some really low scores inside the hall. So I feel, this year's performance curve is normal.. Now the wait begins.. *Na prayer and fasting things* |
colossus12:I got his contact here on NL while i was searching for info for the test.. As fate may have it, he sat beside me during the test and we became good friends afterwards. Well, I don't av any measuring device but bro, I love to appreciate good things when I see them. May be you need to see him in person and find out the feats he has attained. I'm not here to praise any1 but I dont like it when a fellow scholar downgrades another person. In as much as many of us are not happy with our performance, that doesn't mean will should throw insults at one another. What are we putting a stop to if I may ask? |
umbro577: umbro577:My Oga..Clap for yourself, u write like a Phd Degree holder and your logical reasoning is very high. Please can I knw your score?.. Wait a minute, was that you asking for materials?.. Oga/Madame, Please stop insulting your fellow scholars cos u may not be better than them. I sat beside Marqueetim in that test, believe me that guy is a genius. And his logical reasoning is very high. He scored high without any software because he searched for info online. You have the internet so use it wisely for your research, rather than coming here to castigate someone. Please guys, let's stop insulting ourselves. Your First class is just a certificate, what's important is what you do with it. |
henchamb: arewaqueen:Abeg who dey lie?? Yeye dey smell |

Those of you writing petition. Please ensure you also send your full name, exam no and seat no so that Prof. Okojie will add 20 marks to your scores... And also don't forget to tell them that some smart guys used the software last year and last two years and had high scores.. While this year the smarter ones decided to grab the whole score.. I guess PRESSID knew some guys will get evrythng that was why dey decided to set 96 questions for the engineers.. NONSENSE!!!... |
ceechedah:Please stop saying people cheated. And stop mentioning names, its wrong. Besides, I doubt if any one of us here scored up to that 90 so why pointing fingers. I'm in support of the petition too but seriously no one is sounding like a cheat here. I still believe if we re-write the test people will still complain cos I'm sure some guys will still score very high. 940 scholars not smiling!!! |
DChamp1:Thanks man... I stand to be corrected anytime. But It's also our fault for not getting the software and studying it very well. Someone posted something about brainfriend software and I believe evry active Nairalander saw it, it wasnt hidden. Even if we write the test again, some guys will still smash high scores and at the end only 100 candidates will be taken. I guess next time evrybody should act smart and get evey possible material/software and prepare very well. Some people even bought materials online for this test which someone posted here as SCAM ALERT. I assume evry nigerian 1st class graduate is sound (*assumption abeg), but the major difference in our abilities is our level of information. Let love Lead! |
I smell selfishness... why is it only the guys who didn't score high complaining?. this test was just as normal as the one for the previous years. I spoke with some guys that scored high last year and 95% of them prepared for their test wit cinfores/brainfriend software yet i didnt get d software cos i thougth things wil change tis year since many ppl knw about it.. No point calling anybody cheat or names. Truth be told, those guys who scored above 90 are smart guys and prepared verywell with the software. I've learnt my lesson not to take anyting for granted but seriously te test wasn't so difficult, besides the cut off is not 90 so why all these careless comments am seeing here. I met the guy who scored 96 and believe me the guy is very sound, so stop killing yourselves over this issue. Let's just wait and see what happens next.. lets keep our fingers crossed and hope for te best. No hard feelings, If i had seen dat software I would av scored above 90 too and I will confidently defend it. After all some ppl scored above 70 without any software. LET PEACE RAIN PLEASE.. *If you aint informed you are deformed* |
