DissTroy:
In 2015, Ambode probed the LASG expenditures under Fashola. He found out Fashola spent:
- #75 million on a personal website built on WordPress, and;
- #115 million drilling two boreholes.

Instead of being congratulated for ensuring transparency, a section of the public gaslit Ambode for witch-hunting Fashola. That probe died like shooting stars racing across the night sky.
It's pathetic and sad. We've normalized corruption like it's nothing.... And this same set of people will still complain about the state of the country and leave you confused!

Besides, without going there, safe to say that NNPC is lying.

There's no way I'm believing anything that comes out of NNPC with respect to that refinery.

This was the same NNPC that didn't have fuel because international oil traders insisted they must be paid for previous supplies.

We truly know what we are doing in this country. My people think this is their Hero but I only pray they see better.

What this boy did to us, only God can perfectly account for him. All this shenanigans they are put on in court is just to save face.

A reasonable Governor should have held this idiot to accountability but guess what? they are in for merriments for the same reasons why Kogi is in dire conditions.

NNPC is a very interesting place is all i will say

we only got the PO for those jobs last month. and we have only been paid for one of them. that gives you an idea of how nnpc is run.

someone else told me - because oif their lack of process and organisation - a job that costs 20m, you charge them 40m . if you do not do this, you WILL GO BROKE working with/for them
Tale of Nigerians wrecking havock on the system.

TemporaryHansel:
It was a typical Tuesday morning in Lagos. The bus was packed to the brim, the air thick with the chatter of commuters, the hum of the engine, and the occasional honking of horns from impatient drivers. Okpa, a young man in his late 20s, squeezed into a corner seat by the window, trying to avoid eye contact with anyone. He was still half-dazed from the long night at work, his thoughts wandering between the demands of his job and the endless traffic jams.

Suddenly, the bus jerked to a stop, throwing him off balance. As he steadied himself, he felt a sharp, unexpected konk on the top of his head. It was a quick, no-nonsense knock—strong enough to sting, but not enough to hurt. He looked up, confused.
"Ah! Wetin I do?" he muttered under his breath.

The culprit was an elderly woman, a complete stranger, standing right in front of him. She had a cane in one hand and a bundle of market goods in the other. Her face was stern, lined with years of experience, but her eyes twinkled with mischief.

"You dey sleep for my space?" she snapped in a voice that could only belong to someone who had seen it all. "Wake up, young man! You no see say the bus don full?"

Okpa blinked, still a bit disoriented. He wasn’t sure if she was angry or just had a way of getting people’s attention.

Before he could say anything, she turned her back to him, muttering to herself about young people and their laziness. The bus lurched forward again, and the bustling noise of the ride swallowed her words.

Okpa rubbed the top of his head, still a bit stunned by the unexpected konk. He glanced around, but no one seemed to be paying attention.

A few seats away, an older man chuckled and shook his head. "That woman, she no get time for nonsense," he said.

Okpa smiled, realizing the whole situation was just a part of life in Lagos. He’d learned something that morning: in a city like this, a konk on the head was just a reminder to stay alert—life moves fast, and you can’t afford to sleep on it.

Lawyers on twitter hardly agree on anything but they all unanimously agree they don't like any case that takes them to the police station.

This egi nupe guy recently said he will stop taking cases that involve the police. When lawyers are saying this, then you know there's a serious problem.

I am sorry for laughing, you mean you guys voluntarily handed yourselves to trouble to save your friend
What if the police decides to hold the person you called to bring money
Those guys are animals
grin grin grin

It's something like that sha. It's actually funny.

But we all know they need the money and fear the unknown if we were allowed outside. But where I don't get is the logic behind this. Because if we had the motive to disrupt their game, we would have planned it before coming.

Police is never anyone's friend!!!

I have no doubt that it is happening more frequently now but it has always being happening.

I know several people it happened to in different formats. What has been happening for years is just a stone’s throw away from the kidnap for ransom that we are now seeing from proper criminals.
No differences at all. Just semantic!

If u don enter police cell , they have 100% power over u o. If u don’t come with military personnel who are willing to cause havoc at the station , forget it u will be at the mercy of the policemen while in their facility .

I’m sure the woman and the husband were too traumatized to be flexing power about who and who they know at that point. They only want their teenage child who must have had his belt taken off , his shirt taken off or turned inside out and being made to sit on the bare floor .

As a parent if u see ur teenage son in that condition , all u will want to do is get him out of there ASAP and think of dealing with the policemen later
The bolded is so true.

One time like that, my guy went to INEC office for Okene to get his Voter's card. He was told his Voter's card was not available. For more than five years, yet, it's not available for collection. Along the line, he had serious misunderstanding with the staff, exchanging words with them (Obviously, that's their modus- operandi. Only God knows why).

So, along the line, they called the security personnel and they picked up my guy.

We were in the field around 4pm when my guy called telling us to show for police station that he has been detained. Three of us went with our jerseys on. We were told the story that ensued and the need to bail him with 15k.

None of us came with cash. To transfer, no. Ok, let one of us withdraw for POS nearby, Omo, these guys in black uniforms refused any of us leaving the premise for any reason at all. It's either we bail him right now or join him in the cell. Which kain wahala be dis angry angry angry

We had to call someone to help us withdraw money and bring it for us.

Those people are monster. They need serious reform. It's that bad!!!
