You were once a senator, Governor and now the president yet you lack the process/stage of implementing policies. I, personally, am not against your policies but the manner in which he has been doing it is inhuman and wicked. I hope he realises this and backtracks. No be only one road lead to market nah..... |

While underscoring the performance of someone in leadership position, your evaluation must be constructive in such a way that it has to tally with the imperfection of human existence, and also agreeing to the dynamism of life cum diverse motives of team players. This draw my conclusion to the 8years of Alhaji Yahaya Bello's administration. Hitherto, You must all agree with me that the terrain of leadership had been lopsided with thunderous clamour from the end zones for inclusivity and fair treatment. Considering the complexity of mindset and the heterogeneity of our existence, it was indeed a tough moment coupled with uncertainty in the judicious utilization of state resources akin with wayward developmental strides. 2015 becomes a moment of restoration and liberation from the political slavery bedeviling the state. Indeed, the emergence of Alhaji Yahaya Bello broke the jinx and put at end to mutiny of the system. At this point, the expectations was high most especially from the angle of the shortchanged zones. Swearing him into Office was a momentous development in the anal of history. And the motive imbibed to clear the debris and bring idealistic initiative was glaring to all. I won't considering scoring him 90% because he has his weakness being human but statistically with fair and just evaluation, Yahaya Bello has tremendous done well. I say this without mincing words - and it should be taken to the future. *UNITY AMONG THE CITIZENS* The EBIGO Agenda was enforced to replenishes our mindsets and correct our believe. it was set up to enforce unity in diversity, and also to right the mistakes of the past so that a workable and prosperous Kogi could be achieved. There is no sane individual that might choose to fault this rare initiative. EBIGO has really worked for us hitherto to the tale end of his exit from the Lugard house. We must credit Yahaya Bello for entrenching such a deserving idea to cleanse the notion already imbibed by us all. Though, the recent election has hampered the progress made in this regard because of the uncultured traits of the political class and their desperate bid for political relevance. They succeeded in leveraging on the dynamics of the the recent gubernatorial election to divide us along ethnic line. *SECURITY EXCELLENT* No doubt, there is a significant improvement in the security architecture of the state with Kogi been ranked as the second most safest state in Nigeria. Yahaya Bello's decisive and prudent approach has attracted this feat. His consistent engagement and review of the security happenings of the state, and his untainted commitment to bring normalcy was at topnotch. Insecurity was brought to control with criminal elements having it so hard to perpetuate their hideous crimes. They were left with minimal strikes - and Yahaya Bello should be given accolade for contributing significantly to the security balance already witnessed in Kogi State *ELECTRICITY IMPROVEMENT* A just and objective assessment of the electricity distribution of the state will put Yahaya Bello on a greenlight. His far-reaching tentacles and smartness had attracted several interventions in this regard most specifically in the aspect of solar electrification. Operation light up Kogi East was institutionalized with a proactive step in launching quite a number of Transformers and high projective lines to improve the deplorable state of power distribution in the east. A replica of it was also felt in other part of the state with undeniable changes and improvement. *AGRICULTURAL HUB* In line with the determination to make Kogi State a food basket of the nation, Yahaya Bello's administration has established one of the biggest Rice Mill in Nigeria known as Kogi Confluence Rice Mill. The state government also paid its counterpart funds for the smooth take off of both the international fund for Agricultural development/Value chain Development project (IFAD/VCD) and the APPEALS Project specially for the promotion of cassava, rice and cashew value chain. Still part of efforts to enhance food security, he denoted 100 tractors and immediately distributed them across the 21 local government areas of the state. The incentives were meant for farmers, women and youths, as part of efforts to boost food security, create employment and income for the people of the state. *HEALTH SECTOR REFORM* Yahaya Bello's imprints in the health sector was superb. He brought a new lift to our depleting hospital structures and also added some new ones with world-class facilities. The establishment of Reference Hospital; a hospital that got Nigerians talking because it vast coverage of medical facilities. The hospital has the hyperbaric oxygen chamber is debuting for the first time in Africa. There are several host of renovated and constructed hospitals across the state the other senatorial districts. And I think that has gone a long way to rejuvenate the lost glory of the sector. *Education Upliftment* Yahaya Bello's government brought all the parastatals under education closely to enable them advance the progress of education in the state. However, through prompt payment of counterpart fund, the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) became an example of government policy towards a standardized basic education in the state. Apparently, to boost the sector, he established the GYB Model Primary Schools across the 239 wards of the state and also established GYB Model Science Secondary Schools each in the three senatorial districts of the state, including Lokoja the state capital. He renovated 2,000 classroom blocks in both primary and secondary schools across the state. Bello's efforts in our tertiary institutions are commendable. He established two more universities to meet the target of diverse discipline and speciality. Our institutions are in league of the fastest growing institutions in Nigeria. These highlighted sectors and the imprint therein culminated to my submission of Yahaya Bello's 8years reign as the fourth executive Governor of Kogi State. While I wish him the best in his political trajectory, I implore kogites to be guided in our assertion of his administration and see him as someone who has redeemed the image of the state and set standard for prosperity. Yahaya Bello left an indelible contribution to the progress and development of Kogi State. he has set pedestal for successive administration to strive. I'm hopeful he will be vindicated, and posterity will be sincere to him. By Comr Jegede Onotu Abdulazeeze.

In the face of adversities where high expectations lingers, there is an urgent need for rare and different approach to tackle the expectations and give a greenlight to the clamour. The imperative of this pieces becomes eminent to the emerging challenges, and for us all to shoulder the blame and claim responsibilities of what might be the evaluation of Kogites in the next 4years, We must start firm with a topnotch approach that will set the new administration on a pedestal of deserving prosperity. To catapult a complex state like Kogi, setting it on map of history and institutionalizing a workable policy, holistic effort needs to be imbibed - and the overhaul of the polity should also clouded our modules operadi. While it becomes evidents and glaring the mistakes of the past administration. A replica of the scenario must hence be halted. Let those who will be considered to be part of the team players be properly scrutinized for excellent outcome. Failures of the last administration should not be given space to serve, they should not be given the opportunity to repeat the class they could not manage to make pass talk more of credit pass. Let the search be within the armpit of not only a youth-like breed, but a well focused, brilliant and constructive youths with an undeniable record of excellence. This will serve as a sine qua none to re- write the wrong and bring to bear, a responsible and responsive governance. Agreeing to what our pride and leader, His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello posited " New leaders will emerge". I so much believe this statement is not only a personal submission but also a true reflection of the wishes of all Kogi indigenes. Hence, I called for a guided ways of selecting these new emerging leaders so that we can void the past and strengthening the future.Alas to that today, we are only seeing counting new faces in leadership position like the Chief of Staff, SA Media, Director Protocol, Chief Press Secretary and few others, else the supposed political lilly feathers are back again to offer what? May Kogi of our collective dream comes to reality, else the masses will not forgive us.May Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo succeed. BY: JEGEDE ONOTU ABDULAZEEZ

BlueRayDick:Everything combined..... plus religious dogma to complete the list. ![]() |
BlueRayDick: ![]() Bro, it goes beyond that. The way it is now, Bello might be better than the clown. For you to know his level of his weakness and foolishness, all the appointments made so far are mostly either Bello's kinsmen or relatives. My people made Bello god. They appreciate and sing his praise for a work done. This Same people turn around and complain of perpetual poverty, no job, no food and nothing works and then you wonder if they ever make use of their brain. We've lost every hope in kogi state and as it is now, if you want to "disstroy" them, you might be used for a shot practice by hungry mofos who are planted around us for the same reason. I can confidently tell you that the office was even built by Bello himself at the last minute of his tenure. The reason for that? Your guess is as good as mine. |
