OasisX:Muri is the same with them bro. I wish you could stay neutral. Supporting that thug ain't worth it. Both Dino and Muri have been part of what we are facing in kogi state. They've held positions at the national level with abysmal performance. At least, we can make excuse for Ododo and hoping SIM/Wike happens to them. But anyway, it's your choice. |
I beseech Kogites with a heart full of immense gratitude to the show of maturity and decorum throughout the campaigns and the fraternity we imbibed to project our state to an enviable height. The most anticipated moment is here – a moment we are expected to make a choice, a choice that will either make or mare the state; a choice that will enshrine a workable and more prosperous policies or the one that will retrogress the state and take it back to the dark days; a choice that will entrench peace and harmony amongt the diverse tribes in kogi state or the one that will distort our peaceful coexistence; a choice that will meet our yarning s and catapult the state to a higher pedestal or the one that deteriorate our fortune. Dear Kogites, I implore you all to please take critical evaluation of the foremost contestants with a plane mind devoid of sentiment, you will agree with me that the best choice is glaring. There are several factors that needs to be taken into consideration; who among the candidates has requisite knowledge of governance?, who among the candidates enjoys close proximity to the party in the center?, who among the candidates stands under the mantra of "Kogi Agenda"?. Answering this above questions diligently will put us at ease to make a promissory choice. Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo is no match considering the highlighted factors for consideration. He's from the ruling party, and that will indeed be a plus for us. He served as Auditor General for Local under this administration, which means he's well informed and equiped about governance - He has also seen the lapses of the current regime, so he has no excuse not to perform and right the wrongs. He has been clamouring for all inclusive agenda which shows, the unity of the state can be entrusted in him. Dear Eastern Kogi, I adjure you all with a plea to come out in your numbers to vote for Alh Usman Ahmed Ododo. He's not a sectional leader. He's coming to run an all inclusive government and restore hope to kogites with a reliable policies and programs. Let's eschew the call for tribal politics and bring to bear a responsible and responsive leadership. Dear Western Kogi, I bring a message of hope to all of you to be calm and play along with the dynamics of kogi state politics. The quest to taste the Lugard house is at sight. APC will bring that to limelight in no distant time but for now, let's key in with the interest of the party and vote for Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo to fast-track the realization of our hopes and dreams. Dear Central Kogi, the moment of anticipation is here. Go out in your thousands to vote the party that has redeemed your name. APC is the party that has strike a balance a give us a name in the political landscape of kogi. we must not fail ourselves. Conclusively, I urge everyone to see reasons beyond by casting their vote for APC. I exercise no doubt we are going to witness a monumental changes positively under the stewardship of Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo. Worthy to mention is the promising start of our Amazon, Distinguish Senator Natasha Akpoti Oduaghan. Keep making us proud ma, we are solidly behind you. May APC Suceed! May Kogi State Suceed! By; Comr. Jegede Onotu Abdul Azeeze. |

The choice before us was not made by us. It was made by those people who put us in this messy lives. Now, we are strucked to either vote for any or remain with Chief thug. |
raumdeuter:Nah my state you finish laidis?? ![]() Bello, see yah life!! |
iamoyindamola:You know no wan free my bro. You Sha dy drag am upandan |
BlueRayDick:Ahbeg permit me make I quote you join. With PDP Natasha, we are hoping to day bye bye to yahaya and his goons. If Din no win, make Dem announce Muri or anything aside white lion and his goon. Suffer don taya us ooooooo |
raumdeuter:Ododo is the chief clown boss. But like every other person, people expect me to support him. Person wey no fit construct simple line in English. |
Shegzdave:Bro, actually it's a three horse race. The other thug has higher chance of winning! We are in for long thing in kogi state. |
izzou: |
izzou:Having to choose a slight humane amongst the three crooks, I will go for Dino but if we are to select base on credibility, that lere of ADC would have been the best but how many people know of him? When did I even get to know him sef. I think itsrm was the one that first mentioned it here. The guy get Brain and has what it takes to govern thr state but!!!!!!! |
izzou:Man, nothing can justify the acute poverty and underdevelopment we have in kogi state due to tribal politics. This is why I'm so relieved for the political idea of Natasha. This lady is here to change narrative and believe Dino could change the situation ( although I doubt this) but for the fact that we can rise above this menace to select our leader base on credibility is enough hope for me. Who could have thought that this woman can beat Bello 4:1 in election and also in court? This is also her telling the electorates to vote for development and progressiveness. Say no to tribal manipulation of votes! The three crooks we have contesting do not have intention of kogi state at heart. All man to his pocket and no one care about others but if I have to choose a slightly better person, it should be Dino but then, I might be wrong! ![]() A state stone away from Abuja has absolute no justification not to tap from the development of Abuja. We hope we get it right this time around! |
Incognito9:The politics of kogi state is more of Tribal war to governance. I quite agree that my state has had it bad in the past and I'm afraid we are about making same mistake. While I really agree to what the man said, I will not also hesitate to state that he was/is part of the problem of kogi state. This was a man who had the chance to represent his zone. How did it effect his zone. What good governance did his people enjoy? I also see it from a man who is looking for a desperate attention for political post. One cannot also rule his intention which is to allow his kinsman wins the forthcoming election. We know people like this and how they go about harassing and challenging the party because of hidden agenda of seeing his tribal man wins and not for the betterment of the state. And they are the problem of the state! Prior to now, how many times has he come out to rebuke yahaya Bello and his gangs and call for good governance in kogi state? Doing that in the eve of election is akin to clout chasing! In kogi state, every zone plays tribal politics and wants his man to be the Governor. We are not ripe to rise above this and challenge the credibility of our elected officers. Those mugus go about with sweet talk to the electorates with no one to ask "how" question. None of them has blue print or manifestos and the kogites care neither. So, it's a situation between devil, red Sea and Lucifer. |
Dear Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, I trust this message finds you in good health and high spirits. It is with immense joy and pride that we extend our warmest congratulations to you on your recent victory at the Court of Appeal and your swearing-in as the incumbent Senator representing Kogi Central at Nigeria's National Assembly. Your journey to this pivotal position has been one filled with unwavering dedication and determination, making you the first female Senator from Kogi State – a significant milestone indeed. Your victory is not just a personal achievement but a triumph for the people who have bestowed their trust in you and for the judiciary that has ensured justice prevails. The people of Kogi Central have long awaited effective and sound representation, and with your swearing-in, their hopes are now pinned on you to deliver the much-anticipated dividends of legislation. We implore you to sheath your sword of political struggle and embrace a new chapter of collaboration with the necessary stakeholders. It is time for Kogi Central to reclaim its rightful place, and we look to you to lead the way. However, in this journey, we must remain vigilant against sycophants and praise singers who often contribute little to the development of our region. True leadership demands discernment and an unwavering commitment to the people's welfare. In this light, we must commend former Senator Abubakar Sadiku Ohere for his short but commendable term in office. His contributions to the hallowed chamber were noteworthy, and his legacy deserves recognition. As you step into your role as Senator, we urge you to sustain your struggle for the revival of the moribund Ajaokuta Steel Company (ASCO). This initiative has the potential to create massive employment opportunities for the youth of Kogi Central. Let us move away from the era of superficial youth empowerment programs and work towards meaningful and sustainable development. We are confident that you possess the qualities and vision needed to bring about positive change and development to our district. Your commitment to effective representation and your passion for true leadership will undoubtedly serve as a beacon of hope for Kogi Central. May your tenure be marked by great accomplishments, and may the people of Kogi Central reap the benefits of your dedication and hard work. God bless Kogi Central Senatorial District! Hassan Adeiza Ozigis.

Recent political developments in kogi central avails us with realities, and the intake is an eyeopener and a deep reflection of the dynamics of life and the memes of political brouhaha. As reactions trails in diverse perspective, it is imperative for me to pen down my submissions and give a forward -looking advise as we go to the poll few days from now. I congratulate the Amazon, Barr. Natasha Hadiza Akpoti Oduaghan for the affirmation of the trial court verdict by the appellate court who validates her as the winner of kogi central senatorial election. No doubt the adjudication of the court is an affirmative to the decision of the people of Kogi central. You are not only an icon in the contemporary Nigeria but also an inspiration to the younger generations in line with the topnotch trait you exhibited. Your doggedness, resilience, courage, steadfastness, sagacity and high level of intellectual balance has exemplified you among your coevals. I hope you will meet with the yearnings of your people, and give them a rare representation that will set the land on the pedestal of economic prosperity. I want to extol and appreciate his Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello for proven yet again the leader he is by congratulating the Senator-Elect, and calling for a collaborative effort to move kogi central forward. While pundits might see it as ineffectual antics knowing fully well that the verdict is from court of finality and her decisions are binding, I will still applaud his Excellency for the outburst because it has arrested flames and crippled the storms that might clouded the political atmosphere in the next few days. Taking critical evaluation of Natasha's interview at channel TV yesterday, it shows that she's still very much bittered and emotional due to the ill experiences she had overtime. Hence, I call on well meaning Ebiras to wade in as fast as possible to pacify her to let go, and see her victory a grace from God that needs to be built upon, and also to forgive her political rivals for the best interest of our people who believed and entrusted her with their mandate. All been said, No victory, No vanguish! All lessons learnt. It is time to administered governance. May kogi Central Succeed! May Kogi State Succeed!! BY; COMR. JEGEDE ONOTU ABDULAZEEZ.

The previous thread: https://www.nairaland.com/7893835/futminna-lecturer-adefolalu-funmilola-sherifat the murder of Dr Fumilola Adefolalu, who was a lecturer with the Department of Biochemistry, School of Life Sciences of the Federal University of Technology, Minna on Saturday, October 28. Joy, who confessed to the crime while being paraded at the Bosso Police Station in Minna, Niger state, said that she had gone to the house to confront and beat up the late lecturer for sending her packing. According to Joy, she had gone to the deceased residence with two of her classmates whom she identified as Walex and Smart, adding that while beating her, it was discovered that the lecturer would report them when she was left alone which was why they decided to kill her. The suspect who is an SS 2 Student of Day Secondary School, Gidan Kuka, said that Smart and Walex first hit the deceased with a stool before stabbing the deceased with knives repeatedly and leaving her dead. She stated: “It was Walex who said that she would recognize us if we left her alive, so they started stabbing her with the knife we brought, I then struggled with the knife with them which made Smart enter her kitchen and take a knife there and they continued stabbing her. “They stabbed her in her stomach, her hands, her legs and she was just shouting Jesus, Jesus. After all that, they took her phone and laptop and her car battery before we left the house in the motorcycle we came in.” Joy said she had been living with the deceased for three weeks, adding that the deceased who was supposed to sponsor her education sent her packing because she could no longer bear her misdeeds. The Niger State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abiodun Wasiu while parading the suspect, said that the police are on the trail of Joy’s friends, Walex and Smart, saying that the investigation is ongoing as the case is being transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution. https://thenationonlineng.net/14-year-old-girl-arrested-over-murder-of-fut-minna-lecturer/

Amoto94:This makes sense actually. |
The climax of our heterogeneity and diversity should be an instrument of hope and an impetus of progress that will set the state on a pedestal of greatness. I am a good student of history who has moved to nooks and crannies of this country in quest for academic excellent. The proximity of the relationship established has widen up my thoughts and get me more informed about how proficient it could be if we leverage on our diversity both in tongue, religious belief and political affiliation to engineered a workable and prosperous society. Hitherto, They've been an erroneous belief that our diversity is a contagious disease that will continually derail our progress, sighting instances of the team players displaying absolute sentiment and prioritizing their fortunes at the detriment of others. And this has been on the line of our leadership realm and administrative modules operandi over the years. While others may peruse contrarily, the Kogi in me is all inclusivity with deserving template and an active policy that will drive the state on a greener pasture. The Kogi in me is a developmental agenda that will drive the economy of the state by harnessing judiciously the naturally endowed mineral and material resources. The Kogi in me is a quest for the best brains and capable hands to steer the mantle of leadership and bring governance closer to my people. The Kogi in me is the prioritization of human capital development where the government and people alike invest heavily in education, skills acquisition, sport, and many more. The Kogi in me is to see the state at the front burner of industrialization and digitalization. This will gainfully engage our youths, and subsequently reduce the rate of unemployment. The Kogi in me is the welfarism of the workers where the work force get their renumeration and statutory packages as at when due. The kogi in me is to see the healthiness of our health institutions where there is absolute guarantee of our heath safety. These and many more are the kogi in me that I will continue to explore both in words and in actions. I won't subscribe at any point to sentiment because it serves as a sine qua none that will retrogress the state and cripple it viability as seen over the years. _By; Comr. Jegede Onotu Abdul Azeeze_

Honestly, this should be condemned. In a situation like this, the best to achieve your goals is through dialogue. You don't fight a lost war. I actually did support Palestine but these actions of killing innocent people and abducting people is wrong and should be condemned like I will also do if reverse is the case. Now, Israel will have a good reason to pummel them with no one to caution them. #peace# |
Jostoman:He is using loophole in the system to his advantage. That's Nigeria for you. |
Jostoman:In your wildest dreams. Even Muri has a brighter chance of winning compare to Zino ahbi debino. Nov 11 is 35 days from now. Wait till then. |
Jostoman:He did contest in a joint ticket with late Audu..... He really wanted to contest this upcoming one, then Bello happened to him. |
