National Association of Kogi State Student (NAKOSS) *THE LEGISLATIVE ARM*
Date: 22 November 2022
OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE We bring Solidarity greetings to entire Kogi State Students and Kogi State Government in the spirit of Justice and Equity.
The legislative arm of the above association was shocked to see some desperate candidates parading themselves as the newly executives of NAKOSS.
This came as a shock to us because the NAKOSS Convention was postponed from 22nd of November 2022 to a later date, this was contained in letter jointly signed by the NAKOSS Senate President and ELCOM Chairman.
We are also aware that the kangaroo election was conducted by the Deputy Senate President and with some NAKOSS Stakeholders who impersonated as Senators, it is a great shame to see people who laboured so hard to build this association to advocate for the general welfare of Kogi State Students and safeguard their fundamental rights of the students are the one fighting the same association.
The Senators in an emergency meeting held today have impeached the Deputy Senate President for Impersonating the Senate President and unanimously pass a vote of no confidence on The SA and SSA on Student Affairs to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, we believed they lack the capacities and capabilities of their respective offices.
The legislative Council hereby distance ourselves from the Kangaroo Election, we believed it was the stakeholders that elected their new executives that will pilot the affairs of NAKOSS Stakeholders Forum.
As we await the official date from the Senate President and ELCOM Chairman, we want to appeal to our students and aspirants not to take law in to their hands as we are ready to speak and seek for the right of our Senators.

Religion (belief systems), language, customs, values, and norms are the key elements of culture.
Check the definition of culture in a standard dictionary or a standard book of sociology or anthropology.
Do that as an assignment and check the various definition of culture given by experts in that field.
I'm sure any students of Sociology or Anthropology that knows his onions will have a good laugh reading this comment of yours.

A001: I just skimmed through this post because it lacks substance.
You obviously don't know the history of your people in Kogi. Your post is full of nonsense.
Learn your history first; oh, that's haram in Islam because you'd have to interact with pagans in your community.
You're allowed to learn the history of the Arabs through the religion of Islam but are forbidden from learning yours because it reeks of paganism.
Those pagans you look down on are much wiser and mentally stronger than you, who's a slave.
If not for them, the whole Nigeria will have become the property of the whites and the Arabs because people that are mentally weak like you wouldn't mind if the whole Nigeria becomes Muslims.
I know that's one of your prayers. You want the Arabic culture to wipe out the local cultures. What more History do I need to learn different from what I have seen and learnt? Everything you said is just a presumed notion you have about me. People don't even know I'm a Muslim sef. Both in school and home. I don't pray at home. I pray wherever hustle carry me go. So, you hardly see me in mosque around me, so thinking I'm an extremist that detest getting closer and learning from others is wrong. I'm open minded and also open to learn to inform my positions and takes. I evalute and apply logic to things before taking stance. You see this our Culture here, I said it is not for human being that have brain and can think. How do you explain human construct that welcome inflicting pain and embarrassing someone to please some sections of people and gods? Come.... I mean how can someone deisgned the so called culture to ban ladies, women from coming out? Kill and destroy properties? I said such things should be detest and condemned by any right thinking person and not study or promoted. Is this too much to undertand? What is your problem? At least, some European cultures underwent modifications and changes but can we really say the same thing here? Well, I don't know much about your culture, but I'm using as a case study to take a stance that that shits should be evaluate and possibly be banned!!! |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by reccy(m): 8:54pm On Nov 21, 2022 |
A001: Tell me where I said culture is real. I already said that it's a social construct earlier, just the religion of Islam you cherish the most.
Some early humans designed all these things. Like culture, religion is also mental programming.
You're condemning the local culture (the entire culture) while celebrating the Arabic culture as a Muslim. Can you see you're a big hypocrite?
You slam your head on the floor five times daily in reverence for the Arabic culture; the religion of Islam is a key aspect of the culture of Arabs because religion is one of the key elements of culture.
Yet, you're condemning the local culture, which has both good and bad sides, like the Arabic culture as well.
Your argument would have made sense if you don't celebrate and haven't adopted the foreign culture of the Arabs being their slave.
You can't do without a culture. It's either you follow the local culture (the good aspects in them) because that's your identity or you follow the culture of the Arabs being their slave.
If everyone behaves like you, your language and culture would have died long ago. If a person's culture is dead, the people have aso died because the name of their ethnic will be wiped out and replaced with a new culture they've adopted.
Culture has many advantages, one of which is the preservation of the thoughts history, and belief systems of a people.
Your argument lacks merit because you've adopted the Arabic culture and regularly condemn and demonize the local culture the way a typical Muslim does.
The Arabs are just wiser than the typical African (who's weak mentally) being that most of them don't joke with Islam, a key aspect of their culture.
The foolish one will call his own culture devilish because the white or Arab man says so in the book of lies they regard as holy.
But the wise whiteman and Arab won't tolerate slandering or condemning of their cultures.
The slavemasters uphold their culture but the slaves condemn theirs. Well, there's a reason why they happily bear Abdul (slave) anyway.
They would say Abdullah (slave of Allah) but Allah, just like the other gods of religion, don't play any part in the activities of this planet.
Humans do all things. So, invariably someone that happily bears Abdullah is in reality a slave of the Arabs. How am I sure this guy understand the differences between religion and culture? I slam my head you said? Thank God Is my head and not yours. For your information, I do that to worship the God I believe in and not in any way the culture of Arabs. Arabs had their culture before the advent of Islam and they maintain their cultures since then. So, roping my religion with their culture is not just wrong but unacceptable. Its ignorance and also irritating to think Islam is an Arab religion and as such, it is their culture. Islam is never an Arabian religion. It is a religion that have been existing before the Saudis. So, roping it with their cultures and condeming Muslims for it is wrong and rejected. Just like saying Education is the " the culture of the west" just becuase we learn it in their language and having a lot of research works from their desk? how shallow and wrong could that be? I condemn any culture that has madness as their core. I mean a culture that has more harm than good. Is that not madness? I condemn such culture whether from saudis or Europe or Ebira. A001: You and the guy you quoted are not being realistic. Have you seen a human without a culture?
You exhibit your culture in all things you do. When you hate and condemn your culture, you're condemning and hating on yourself.
The world will treat you the way you treat yourself. If you say your culture is evil and barbaric, that makes you a barbaric and evil person because you can't do without a culture.
If you hype the good aspects of your culture, others will also respect you.
What you're doing is just to condemn the whole culture because of its bad elements.
You don't throw the baby away with the bath water.
All cultures have good and bad sides. I'm sure as a Muslim, you celebrate and uphold the culture of the Arabs being their slave.
The Arabic culture that you celebrate and revere also has its bad sides, just like all cultures of the world.
It's typical of the Muslims and Christians to condemn and demonize their culture while promoting foreign cultures.
If the Europeans and Arabs are as weak mentally as the average African man, you won't be celebrating and revering their culture.
In summary, condemn the bad aspects of your culture and promote the good ones, and stop demonizing the local culture while celebrating the Arabic culture that's even worse than our cultures in some ways. You think culture is real? That shit is human construct, its a human design to invoke and impose some shit on us. .... The shit has done more harm than good. So, I ask, what is the essence of doing such thing to the extend of promoting it? Me, I don't see you as igbo, hausa or yoruba or European first, I see you as a human first and everything other thing is secondary! |

A001: God is a title. Olohun Eledumare is the pagan god that our forefathers in Yorubaland used to worship before they came in contact with the Europeans and Arabs.
Ohomorihi is the pagan god that the ancestors of you, Kogi people, used to worship as God before Christianity and Islam.
Allah is the native god of the Arabs. Yahweh is the local god of the Israelites. Olohun, Ohomorihi and the remaining native gods in this part of the world don't have an English translation.
Esu, a Yoruba term, is Esu in English. Esu is not Satan. Because the concept of Satan is alien to the Yoruba and the African cultures.
Satan is better called elenini in Yoruba (one who opposes or antagonizes others), not Eshu.
European colonialists and Arab conquerors just twisted the cultures of the indigenous people for their hegemonic campaigns.
Olohun is Olohun in English. That's who our forefathers worshipped in the olden days.
They didn't know anyone called Allah, just like the Arabs never knew (and don't know) any entity called Olohun because Allah is native to Arabs, just like Olohun is native to Yoruba.
In Yorubaland these days, only the traditionalists worship Olohun, but Yoruba Muslims worship Allah and deceive themselves they're worshipping Olohun.
How can Olohun be the same Allah when the Arabs don't know who Olohun is. Allah is their own native god peculiar to their culture and starkly different from Olohun or Ohomorihi.
Each of these gods has a unique history, showing they're different entities.
Allah is a different entity from Olohun or Ohomorihi because Olohun and Ohomorihi are pagan gods.
Only those that don't know the history of the local gods would be calling Allah, Olohun or Ohomorihi the same entity simply because each of them claims the title of God.
It's like saying Ronaldo is the same as Messi because both claim the title of GOAT.
Anyway, all these gods people worship in religions are past beings, whether it's Allah, Olohun, Atum, Zeus, Ohomorihi and thousands of others that have been worshipped in human history.
The gods are gifted humans that had lived in the past.
Even all these local deities in Yorubaland, the likes of Ifa, Obatala, Orunmila, Osun, Ogun, Sango are past beings that had lived on Earth.
If you tell the pagans (the olorishas) that their deities were once human before they became gods, they would be deceiving themselves that they are spirits. Until you read the Odu Ifa (corpus) and start seeing how these native gods and goddesses had existed in the past on this planet as humans.
Religious people like the ATR practitioners just like to deceive themselves, treating everything with superstition.
Anyone familiar with the religious texts of the African traditionalists, Bible, Qur'an, those of ancient Egyptians (before they got conquered by Arabs) that worshipped Atum and Ra, and the religious texts of Greece when they used to worship Zeus as the chief god or God before Christianity, would easily know that all gods of religions have human-like features.
So, it's not incorrect to call them past beings because in history, humans have deified a lot of people and worshipped them as God during the dark ages.
They passed this tradition of worshipping gifted people as God from one generation to another, and over time, the history of those they deified as God gets lost or corrupted.
Then, they start saying "Yemoja is a spirit, goddess of the sea", but when they start reciting their Odu Ifa (Ifa corpus), you'd spot the human-like traits of Yemoja.
The same thing applies to Allah and the other gods of religions. Someone is confusing Arabic ( as a language ) to a equivalent translation of it in local dialect. Let me help you small. Its obvious you are confused. If come = " wa" in yoruba = vee in ebira Then God = olunwa in yoruba = ohomorihi in ebira. Where is pagan ascription here? Ways of which individual worships this God differ as such prompt names they give to it. For example, when I supplicate in Arabic, I make use of Allah but when I do same using my local dialect, I use ohomorihi. When pegan or traditionists suplicate or worship in my dialect, they make use of adayi ebeba or ihineba. So what is hard here to understand that you are confusing your confusion Anybody that understands Arabic language knows that God is the same as Allah = eledumare or olunwa. But when you decide to used it to mean your pagan gods, it surely do not change what it means. Lastly, Arabs have names they give to their pegans that differentiate it from name given to God in Arabic. |
