izzou:I had to read your quote 5 times to make sure I understand you.... No one is free of health issue no matter how minor it is. So, using that your logic, no one is employable ?See, I'm not saying health does not matter. Truly it does, but the question is whether if the candidate is qualify and can solve the challenges or not. That is what we should be talking about. Y'all said this against Buhari in 2015 and the man not only become healthier but also stronger than even those who wished him death. So what is your point again? |

We all have our share of the failure of this present govt whether directly or indirectly. I have been home since February with no hope of going back to school yet and to think I supported this govt and even told my people to vote for them is disturbing but before I realized how empty this govt is, it was too late. Although we did vote against them in 2019 but it was not enough to change anything. I don't know why i can't link the present govt with BAT mandate...... When I tried to, it would not add up at all. I hope I'm not making another mistake again. Well, lets keep watching. This time, for the first time, I hope I vote and vote right. ...... |
Using my state as a case study - the oldies and the youth have both ruled my state and while the former with their ages and diseases ruled with reasonable improvement, salary paid and some projects to show. The same cannot be said to the later who, by chance given the mandate, and Is ruling with acute stubborness, disregard for people welfare and reckless embezzlement while the people groans and dies with nobody to come to their aids. Both have failed but we can distinguished a relief from their failures. While the later pays the workers, the later is stubborn boy who will owe you and still expect you to be praising him....... Nobody in my state would prefers the present govt to the previous one except you want to play an ethnic card. So, saying a candidate is old and should not be voted in because is having disease to me, is not a logical ones. What if he has a better blue print and solutions? . itsn't high time we sold out our candidate with fact and figures and stop this personal attack? Obi is good with talks no doubt but is that all? We should not vote in someone that can only talk without critical analysis of his practical solutions to the issue facing the country ( Obi, Bat and Atiku inclusive). What are their solutions to this insecurity menace. Tell us so that we can subject them to scrutiny. What are their own solutions to economy and our Educational sector ( ah don too suffer for this one). I, for the first time, convinced to have a PVC by donjazet and I did go for one..... But their recent methods of campaign for their candidate is not adding up at all. I'm sure they can do better if they really want to convince people but they need to refrain from personal attack and illogical excuses. Ah don talk my own again..... We rise! |
Nothing anybody would say here that can justify this ridiculous fees for cucu. while I'm happy we would have a back up/competitor for chilwell, there is need for us to thread with care because buying players like this would be difficult to integrate in the team play. Now look at what Leicester is saying for Fofana . 80 milli for fufu is a way too much. I prefer we have FDJ and move on since Azpi has extended his contract. |
Amoto94:Lolz.... Ahbi. |
raumdeuter:Avoh sir. Ohomirihi osuta. Odameh va simi ooo ki ireyi naijeriya odumeyi. We would continue to do this respectfully and civilly. |
donjazet:Nobody is justifying anything. What Buhari did to Niger is what most countries do. Even sanctioned Iran is helping Russia in Ukraine war... You need to be calming down bro. |
Android17:, Some people are just plain dull. If you read their shows on front page, you can instantly call for revolution. They attack and intimidate anybody that seems to analyse some issues critically. So One sided, irrational and bias. Let Obi wins the polls and do this very aids now and some of this things they criticise now will instantly becomes rationale and acceptable. What there problem is I honestly don't know. |
Amoto94:Avor adayi. Etemeya sir? Otami ono, meyi samey.....ayana kumi.... When sha. Finger crossed. |
Segedinho:Ok |
donjazet:OK.... For your mind now, I'm Tinubu supporter as you use to call it. So much for the person that gave me the zeal to get voter's card. When I had to convince people to see reason why there is need to get voter's card and make things happened through your comments? Well, I don't really know why you behave like this sometimes. But for now, I'm now agbados supporter because I aired my opinion? Well, to you is your takes. |
mikeywise:How can I help you? |
BlueRayDick:Oh! It can not make sense to you since it does not suit your agenda. Well, I don't want to argue further before you see me as the defender of this failed govt..... But I implore you to look at issue critically before criticising because at the left, there might be something right! |
monerozi5590:I mean The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) which Nigeria is part of. You are not aware of this? |
BlueRayDick:You and I knew Afghanistan was in a financial mess then and giving the status of Nigeria in Islamic world which Afghanistan is part of.... I think to some extend, it is justifiable. I don't like this government to be honest. But is not everything we must criticised without critical analysis. He might have goofed on this since we don't know the actual reasons for it but we must sometime, give doubt a benefit and hoping it worths it. |
Ebukacute:Most times, I don't seem to understand what some people see in that skeleton to so much believe in him. I feel piss off when I see him playing. So sluggish, slow , and wack. Nothing fascinating about him even his hair style. |
Ebukacute:Bro, ah take God beg yhu no vex me oo. Cook kor crook ni... Dat termite should be loaned or sold to give chance to better players who are hungry for success and not all this audio generational talk wey we no dy see for field.....spits! |
monerozi5590:You don't need this guy. Buhari cannot just wake up and dash any country money without any strong reasons for it. Like one guy said, this govt is not good in disseminating information to the public - logical one - maybe due to the constant lies and denials they use to dish out which now make it hard for people to rationalise any of their actions. We also need to build strong relations with bordering countries for this insecurity to be combated effective. This land cruisers may not be for security or security related but sure, it does build trust and relationship with two countries battling insecurity. |
https://www.cnn.com/2022/07/29/us/north-carolina-police-resign-black-city-manager-reaj/index.html The mass exodus of an entire police department after the hiring of a Black town manager in North Carolina has opened a conversation about public safety and race relations in a small town of just over 1,500 residents. Last week, the entire police department in Kenly, North Carolina, resigned, citing a "hostile" work environment less than two months after Justine Jones, a Black woman, began her role as the town's newly selected city manager. Joy Wright, a local business owner, said the community is concerned about what the collective police retreat means for the future of the town. Wright also said she was mostly frustrated because the town hadn't been keeping residents in the loop with any developments."It's just weird, and for us to not have any information as to what to expect," Wright said. "Are we going to have police? Are we going to have a town manager?" Following an emergency, closed-door meeting last week, the Kenly town council released a statement this week saying, "The prudent course of action is to find out what happened and not make any rash decisions." Alan "Chip" Hewett, Kenly's town attorney, told CNN that he will oversee an investigation conducted by an outside firm starting next week when all the resignations take effect. Technically, the police chief and officers are still on the job through the beginning of next week. The police chief's resignation is effective Tuesday. CNN obtained eight resignation letters in total, consisting of longtime police chief Josh Gibson, four full-time officers, one part-time officer and two town clerks. The letters are similar in language, with most referencing a stressful work environment, though they don't provide any details about the allegedly "hostile" workplace, nor do they explicitly blame Jones. However, Gibson has placed blame on Jones for the resignation -- both in a Facebook post that has since been made private and in an exclusive interview with Fox News. Gibson told Fox News host Laura Ingraham that Jones had written him up multiple times in her short time on the job. "She came in, first of all, to start giving us tasks and all these projects all the time. And unfortunately, we are -- we only have five officers and I was working double shifts at the time to try to keep up officer safety and be there with the officers in case something happened," said Gibson, who claimed the manager wrote him up for being late if he wasn't sitting at his desk, among other things "She wrote me up for going to businesses and talking with businesses. She wrote me up for talking with council members I've known for 20 years." CNN has not seen any of the disciplinary records referenced by Gibson and therefore cannot verify the write-ups. The town said it was unable to turn over any documents right now that were requested by CNN this week. Jones started as Kenly's town manager on June 2, according to an announcement from the town that notes she was unanimously approved by the council and touted her 16 years of experience working in "progressively responsible positions with local governments" in multiple states. Justine Jones, Town Manager of Kenly, is seen in a photo taken from the town's web site. Jones started as Kenly's town manager on June 2, according to an announcement from the town that notes she was unanimously approved by the council and touted her 16 years of experience working in "progressively responsible positions with local governments" in multiple states. Residents split on whether it's a 'race issue' Brittney Hinnant, a Kenly resident, said she feels like the situation is a "race issue" given that Jones is Black, while the entire Kenly Police Department is White. Hinnant also said she doesn't think the police department supports Black people and she feels they often harass Black residents. "I feel like they don't want a Black woman over top of them, basically managing them or telling them what to do," Hinnant said. Studies show people in organizations often think Black women are more likely to have angry personalities, with studies also suggesting that this negative perception is a unique occurrence for Black women, according to the Harvard Business Review. Jones told CNN that since this is a personnel matter, she can't comment on the police resignations. Others in the community say they believe there is not a racial component to the situation due to the fact the previous town manager was a Black man. Some residents also cautioned against jumping to conclusions, saying they've always had a good relationship with the police department. Wright, who owns the Granny Barn, an embroidery and vinyl gift shop located two doors down from Town Hall, said she doesn't think the situation was a "Black vs White thing." "I've never seen that being a problem," she said when asked if she thought race played a role in the situation. "I think there are too many jumping to conclusions, we really don't know what is going on. I know I have never met this town manager, I have never had any problems with the police, so I really don't know what dynamic could have led to these types of decisions," Wright said. Michelle Dawes, who's from Kenly and used to work for the town, told CNN that she thought the situation was complicated. She said it's possible that race and gender played a role in the resignations, but issues of accountability are really at the center of the situation. "I have never had any personal problems with [Police Chief Josh] Gibson, but as a former employee of the town, I know how it works there," said Dawes. "I immediately knew, this is someone new. She doesn't know what, I call them, the 'off the books rules' are. Basically, when she came and got hired, she poked the bear by making him accountable." The Johnston County Sheriff's Office, which already serves Kenly, will increase its presence in the town now that the police department will effectively disband. Denise Bennett, a Kenly native, said the timing of everything makes her suspicious, adding that the situation seems to be more about power rather than resolving work-related issues. Bennett also said some residents have stated the resignations are not about racism, but she doesn't think race-related issues can be completely thrown out as an explanation. "When I realized the short amount of time that she had been on the job, and the drastic decision that was made, it just did not compute in my head," Bennett said. "With the fact that there are so many things one can do if they think they have a nightmare supervisor, there's so many things that can be done. But for an entire police staff to make the choice to quit when they have agreed to protect and serve, rather than to use all of the things in front of them to change the situation... it just didn't make sense to me."
