TPAND: Thank you. Zenco was the first marketer of Tecno Phones. When Techno was launched in Burj Khalifa SLOT CEO was not even on the list of invited guest amongst the Nigerian marketers that graced the event. I don't know where this rumor that Slot Chairman owns or co-owns Tecno and Infinix Also note that all outlets of 3c HUB(techo business) belongs to zenco,FACT!... |

Oga stop all these misinformation. When tecno berthed lagos they first came approached SLOT but he turned them down with the derogatory notion that it's "Chinese phone".Zenco was the first to market tecno products in Nigeria. |

The first marketer of tecno phones in Nigeria is ZENCO.even SLOT rejected tecno products when they first launched,We in computer village knows this.Zenco has become bigger than slot and most known dealers in the market because of that decision to market tecno.I stand to be corrected tho. |

ignatiusez: I don't understand how the government came up with this bogus figures that they give on number of roads. On what basis were these roads selected for construction? I visit Anambra frequently, unfortunately, you hardly see any evidence of ongoing work. Majority of the good roads were those built by Ngige and Peter Obi. Am afraid to say it: this present government in Anambra state seem to thrive more on propaganda. Take for example, Ukpor town which is the local government headquarters of Nnewi south LGA has no single project been constructed! Most of the roads in Ukpor are impassable, especially during the rainy season. Ukpor has no light, no water, no functional genera hospital yet it's a local government headquarters! These government is in its 4th year and yet nothing much to show. Go to the villages and listen to an average Anambrarian: what you hear is a far cry from the propaganda been peddled in the media. How can a governor neglect a whole local government headquarters, even abandoned the township road started by his predecessor? People are simply disappointed with this current government in Anambra state, forget about this internet projects. Kudos to you my brother for raising this issue, Ukpor as an headquarter needs a quick revamp as the roads crisscrossing the entire town has long been abandoned by this obiano govt. It's quite annoying to see new projects being eexecuted and yet the ones that was started by His predecessor abandoned without a glimmer of hope for completion anytime soon. UKPOR-OZUBULU ROAD should be give immediate attention pls. |

What do you think would happen in a country where it's people think like savages in peace time. Exactly my thought but it's becoming quite clear that disintergration is eminent the only unknown variable is how we go about it. |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Is Deeply Divided - UN Report by redcap: 10:42am On Sep 05, 2016 |
pippimp: Then so be it. It still does not change the fact that for the disintegration of the country to happen, it's people still need to change their mentality else, the country will use violence to make it happen. Trying to break up Nigeria with the way it's people think at the moment will only lead to serious bloodshed. What happened in Burundi will be child's play when compared. I don't believe in violence but if becomes inevitable then I'm left with little choice. All I know is that Nigeria can never survive a second civil war,it'll be fight to finish this time and every one will be involved cos' no sitting on the fence this time.So if you think a particular region will be safe from the consequence of another war, think again. On a second note, once we go our separate ways there's high possibility of people showing high level of patriotism to their various nations as there will be less cases of marginalization and other uniting factors will be entrenched to make the each nations more united. |

Even if i am or was not a part of the decisions which brought about the outcome. Good or bad. It has made me a better leader today. The failure of Nigeria falls at the feet of every single Nigerian. Just check the thread alone and you will understand. See the divisive tribal comments. How does a country become great with it's citizen think the way Nigerians do? No one can lead Nigeria out of the predicament it is in because even the young one's mentality have been corrupted. Until Nigerians collectively change the way they think, things will only get worse. Perish that thought of change,no one is interested in this satanic union,Those that a clamoring for a united Nigeria are those after niger-delta oil.Nigeria is dead as a country the carcass will soon be shredded in pieces by vultures when the inevitable happens. |

Tell me why eastern food products were not taken to biafrans dying of starvation and you have your answer.
The East depends on the North for supply of your most vital food items. QED.
You can go on a food strike to protest if you hate the fact. You supply to SE because that's where you get full value for ur produce, why not supply to IDPs and save them from hunger. We'll certainly go into mass production of food when it becomes extremely necessary. You people should be pleased you have a loyal customers to always buy off ur excess produce,I spent close to two million naira just last year rewarding all my loyal customers and some of them are from the north. How much have you guy spent to reward us for buying your useless food when Cameroon is by the corner.lubbbishhh. |

When push comes to shove we'll know who depends on each other for survival. Can you imagine okorocha, what happens to the food up north if they don't have people to buy, most of the foodstuffs are perishable. I'm just too angry to write coherently now. |

If the govt cannot create enabling environment for other manufacturers to operate, I do not see how it is his fault. Why is Dangote not manufacturing his production machines in Nigeria? Do you know the employment opportunities lost as a result of this forex situation? Its not only innoson oooo! There are numerous others already and more to follow. How many jobs is Dangote refinery sustaining now at its infancy stage as compared to the thousands already who have become victims from job cuts in various companies?

basilo101: NNEWI, Nigeria, Aug 31 (Reuters) – At a factory in southeast Nigeria, dozens of new white buses stand at the end of the production line, apparently ready to take on some of Africa’s toughest roads.
Unfortunately for Nigeria’s main domestic vehicle assembly firm they are going nowhere for now.
In an economy starved of dollars because of the slump in oil prices, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) cannot buy imported components, leaving the buses without engines – a metaphor for the problems afflicting Africa’s most populous nation. Read carefully, the buses are ready but the imported component i.e. the engine is the problem, this report shows that innoson produce his vehicles otherwise he could not have made the buses leaving only engines. The guy you quoted doesn't know what he's saying. I was at innoson plant several times last year and I can tell you that all thebody parts (metal/plastics) are wholly made in that factory. The tires are brought in from his other factory in the east.People don't travel all they do is lazy around and busy creating a mental picture of how successful people made their money. |
Autos › Re: Innoson Motors Stops Production, Sack Of Workers Imminent Over Dollars Scarcity by redcap(op): 8:57pm On Aug 31, 2016 |
Quakertellicus1: And most of them do that when they become big enough to do that...and when they are earning enough profits to do so.
All successful car manufacturers start off as local champions....growing via production of cars with high local content..before expanding out of their country.(eg...South Korea's KIA , Hyundai and co were able to grow thanks to the opening of South Korea's first Iron and Steel complex in 1971).
I guess Japanese car manufacturers are an exception. But the trick they have used is produce high volume...so that they can have all the cash in the world to do what they want to do.
Innson's problem was not his lack of ideas...or that he was a bad businessman....but that his model was unsustainable so long as the local content was poor. If Ajaokuta had been working....Innoson would have grown easily in Nigeria..then Africa...then become big enough to start outsourcing production.
APC better fix Aajokuta. In this modern age you don't need to reinvent the wheels.its more cheaper to import these readily available components, same reason why most auto majors have abandoned their engine moulds and have since outsourced from companies whom there area of expertise and businesses are centered around making vehicle engines. They most certainly have a better comparative advantage as they can offer any engine type for a far more cheaper price. |
Autos › Re: Innoson Motors Stops Production, Sack Of Workers Imminent Over Dollars Scarcity by redcap(op): 8:28pm On Aug 31, 2016 |
Quakertellicus1: Keep in mind that thanks to the fall in oil prices....we no longer have enough dollars to do anything.
And while Innoson was a good manufacturer.....his Achilles heeel was the failure to develop a LOCAL source for his cars. A little more time spent on research will show you that most top vehicle manufacturers outsource most of their engine components. |
