From where do these people churn out such unbelievably absurd stats?

It's becoming increasingly obvious that these numbers are being conjured up 'sinisterly' in order to arm twist the government into releasing more forex than she is willing to.
Lol. My exact same thoughts. I wonder how many people dey work for nigeria wey only beverage and food alone go wipe out 3m... lmao!

Na just politics of wickedness we are practicing in Nigeria and not politics of democracy and Nigeria's interest...Someone is being detained and released and you are giving him a heroic welcome, did he go to Afghanistan to fight war?

How the hell do you think he is waiting for the government to celebrate? You are obviously hating. He already got offers from different firms including MTN but he is undecided.
Lol. Then please tell others and everyone inclusive that he already has job offers so that they can stop writing pathetic letters seeking something of some form from some quarters because obviously, they dont know he has job offers!

Helo nairalanders. I am 29 and weigh currently 73kg. Pls Is there anything wrong with it? And I noticed that am still adding weight and I don't like it. I remember as at last year I weighed btw 66/68kg but this sudden change is what I don't understand. I want to return to my stature. Pls is there any food/fruit that really helps in fats burning? I now do 10mins exercise every morning and sometimes evening.
Or is it a normal weight for my age? Though I see my mates weigh 80kg and above which I disgust. If I weigh more than this, honestly I might hate myself... what do I do? Thanks in anticipation.
hi what is your height? If you are a man, I strongly doubt 73kg is bad

But truth be told, I dont understand this first class guy... cant he go and get a job or something ASAP with his degree. Why is he strutting around like he's supposed to be given money, our commonwealth or honours? Comparing yourself to other hustlers without first class is lame
life is a constant hustle dude, e never end... stop being lazy and hustle more, life is never fair but you are currently technically begging for alms... just like the other day you started telling us that you can pay your rent... seriously? huh

candid opinion
The only sensible post on this thread. It seems Nigerians such as the Azuka guy dont think anymore. I dont know why people think that the government always owes them something just for being outstanding. Its your personal achievement. FLY with it and break more boundaries. There are lots of geniuses in other fields, if everybody begins to raise voices just to be recognized by the government, then there is something else wrong with them...I dont envy that guy one bit because I think he is only book smart and not spontaneously intelligent. The latter is what the world wants to see!

omo men, it seems APC just woke up the beast in PDP. They were super complacent in their game in the 2015 general elections and they felt that it was almost impossible to be ousted from power at the center. But with APC's sweeping win, they just entered beast mode. I woulf not be surprised that they win 2019 general elections because they took their rigging game a whole new level.....

Car Talk › Replica Super Cars by redcliff(op): 11:16am On Mar 21, 2016
Hi Folks, I am sure everyone has admired one super car or the other from Range to Bugatti to Rolls Royce and the likes. One thing strikes me. I have seen a few "re-manufacturers" who come up with exact same replicas of these cars and they are looking so good and price friendly that an individual in the middle class can really afford one. starting at $20,000 for a phantom, I see these cars flooding the streets of Nigeria pretty soon (if they are not already). One goes to wonder if most of the super super cars we see in Nigeria are actually real from the original manufacturers.

Most of them are fitted with Toyota Camry, Ford Mustang or BMW engines and I have seen a few Nigerians who are already in the business of building these cars themselves. (Although they don't reside in Nigeria).

So, I am putting it to folks here, lets discuss what we think about these replica cars, are they good enough? is it something you can buy or something you would dare not even doling out cash to acquire? I really cannot give technical specifications but I would tell you that these cars are exact replicas of the original with exact same features both in aesthetics and functionality.

Attached below are a few pictures....what do you have to say?

Nairaland General › Re: Opinion: Seun Osewa Deserving Of Nigerian National Honours Award by redcliff: 8:43am On Mar 21, 2016

In Nigeria where Dangote got the same honour that only Vice Presidents get?
Here Capitalists who have no long standing record of rendering SELFLESS services have honours so why won't Seun whose website has given so many youths a voice get?
How many people does he employ? Dont think like a kid. There are one man businesses in Alaba and Idumota who have manpower under their pay roll that equally deserve an award...afterall they are employers of labour and they are totally self made...

Nairaland General › Re: Opinion: Seun Osewa Deserving Of Nigerian National Honours Award by redcliff: 6:44am On Mar 21, 2016
ercel:
The recent revelation that the Central Bank of Nigeria employed children, wards and cronies of some influential Nigerians made me revisit this idea.
It's sad that those children lacked the brain to see brighter opportunities around them. Most of who have attended good universities and had the priviledge of travelling round the world but failed to see that great markets exist in Nigeria, Africa and the world. They failed to see that they could take advantage of their parents' wealth and connections to establish businesses that'll see them becoming employers of millions of people worldover. Rather they chose to join CBN where salaries and remunerations are robust and where they can engage in the much talked about "dirty in-house forex deals".
I couldn't but see them as blockheads who couldn't see the world despite haven travelled far and wide. They are pitiful for taking away jobs that other Nigerians should have gone for and that's what greed is!
Why couldn't they create impactful ventures the way Seun Osewa of Nairaland did. In its years of existence,Nairaland has seen people all over the world affected positively. Through Nairaland people get educated and enlightened everyday, businesses take place, people find jobs,Nigerians and non-Nigerians alike engage in political debates that have seen humans unite,so many have gotten free medical treatments from those they never met and may never meet for the rest of their lives, counsel on admissions, marriage and health have been given without charging any fees,in fact, some met their partners (marriage and business) on this same forum, and so many other achievements that time and space won't allow us mention here.
Now,isn't the founder of this forum worth National Honours Award? I am not patronising and do not expect moderators to either ban me or hide my post, but I am strongly positive that Seun Osewa deserves honour, depriving him is like the annoying act of CBN who chose to deny other Nigerians jobs by employing those who ought to have been smart enough to create jobs and rule the world!
We must talk and write so that the appropriate quarters will hear us. Nigeria must get better and it starts with us. Thank God for SERAP's open letter to CBN.
Thank you.
for what please? Dont bastardize an honorary institution on the grounds that a mere business man who had the original intent of personal gratification is deserving of it. I am not hating but i strongly feel that national awards are more deeper than what Nigerians have taken it to be at the moment and this is simply because we have seen too many wrongs being done and any little light of hope from anywhere catches your attention. Leave national awards for folks who have done selfless deeds for the betterment of the nation than a mere business man who is just young and successful in doing his daily business.

Thank you!

Elections occur in europe , the west and america , even some african countries without record of deaths

Fine, we could argue no election is absolutely free and fair anywhere, but what bothers me is the very violent elections in nigeria, leading to loss of numerous lives.
What happened in rivers state is hilarious because these politicians( apc and pdp) behave like they own the state not minding whose life is sacrificed except theirs

It's time for the masses, especially the youths to get it right and realise these guys don't care about us but their selfish ambitions and aspirations.

But the question remains: when will Elections in Nigeria be devoid of violence and loss of lifes
Elections are always free and white not even fair in western europe..its a vote from home system!

anigbajumo:
Bro,am a fan of APC but this is highly barbaric and uncalled for.It is a shame on Nigeria if we continue with this act. This is one of the reason why we voted APC bt it seems they are failing Nigerian to conduct free and credible election. We want APC to sanitize all sector in this country, that is why we called for change.

Let me ask u,is that the beauty of democracy??

U don't follow ekiti election than me coz fayemi is my mentor and av I used to learn many this from him even till now.

It was a pure rigging in Ekiti by then using federal might, imagine an election where the sitting governor looks back and does not see any policemen around him whereas a candidate (fayose) was escorted to the pooling centre with bulletproof jeep.

Imagine an election that a sitting governor does not win any single local government.

So u don't knw fayemi than me honestly BUT we must not say bcoz fayose rigged election we should debunked his view on this matter.

This is not how it supposed to be bro,if u doubt me as an APC supporter check my comments so far on this forum.
Im not doubting that you are an APC fan but lets call a spade a spade. Fayose cannot and does not have any moral right to talk about this. I understand Apc seems worse off. Infact the only solution to restoring balance politically is to wipe out a majority of the political class. Like it was done in the french revolution. Democracy has done nothing for this country..

Matter-of-factly speaking Governor, na so we see am o.

I'm not a yuruba man, but I always admires de guts of Governor Fayose.

This man is not controversial, he is a legendary fearless and bold speaker.

Hate him all you wish, he is miles ahead of

most of the other governors in frank talks.
You are just as fooolish as Ayodele fayose. How quick have we forgotten how Fayose got into power..Its seems everyone living in Nigeria has no more brains and sense of logical reasoning anymore...everyone thinks based on sentiments.
