Yes. Cop out of it. It’s three weeks to Valentine’s day and the town is already going red. Stores are finally taking down their Christmas decorations and affixing the sappy hearts and all that good stuff. You’re seated there and wondering what the purpose of Valentine’s is. If you’re one of those saps that believe in a social construct with such a consumerist agenda, it’s fine. We don’t begrudge you of your choice. You can wait here in the lobby. Grown men who be knowing, can follow me. Yes, gentlemen. Welcome. Here’s some single malt scotch for your parched throats. It’s the good stuff – Glenmorangie. Make sure to not drink it all at once though. Undo the last button of your suit and loosen your tie just a tad. Relax and kick back. Now let’s talk. So you want to cop out of the sham that is Valentine’s Day without seeming like an asshole. That’s good. I’m sure your first thought is to break up with her, now that it’s still 3 weeks to the D-day and then miraculously mend fences after that. No, you don’t want to do that. You’re not a dolt, otherwise, you’d be in the lobby with the rest of the dweebs drinking water. If that idea weren’t totally stupid, it would be shameful to even try it because every one knows. Notice how your woman has been much nicer to you lately? It’s not even conscious, but there you go. All of that covered, let’s get you out of this quagmire in a few easy steps shall we? First off, know this: You WILL spend money. Just a lot less than the dweebs in the Lobby will. What you will need to prepare first: 1. A poem PREFERRABLY WRITTEN BY YOU, the longer and cheesier, the better 2. A wicker basket and a picnic blanket. 3. A recipe for a meal you can prepare easy. The flashier the better, but make sure you can cook it well first. 4. A piece of jewellery: a pair of Gold earrings, or a gold bracelet 5.Spare N2k Step by Step Guide 1. Take the day off. Or at least get off work early. It’s a Tuesday and, you will need all the extra time you can get. 2. Make sure she gets the day off but don’t tell her why. If your girlfriend is in still in University we have no words for you, it makes your work easier. Tell her to cut her class for that day. 3. Head to Shoprite/Park and Shop or even Obaino. Finally, it is here. I mean, I got bored of the first one after hitting 27 million and I’ve been trying to fill the void in my heart with knock offs like Subway Surf, Pyramid Run and Survival Run. Subway Surf is pretty awesome though. But I always say, nothing does me like Temple Run does me. And voila, barely a week ago, Temple Run 2 hit the stores and is already at over 20million downloads. iOS only [though the Android Community says an Android client should be dropping 24th of this month]. The question is; was Temple Run 2 worth the wait? Well, to a large extent yes. We’ve got new stuff, a new temple up in the sky, the cart of doom [that's what I call it], zip-lining, new upgrades, objectives and perks. The terrain isn’t just straight anymore, with winding roads, stairs, miner’s caves, rivers and new booby traps. And the game is a tad harder, at least for us tight-wads. Say bye to Resurrection wings and hello to gems, which although can be gained through hard work and perseverance, Imangi studios have decided to be their in-app purchase gold mine. You can’t buy gems with coins like with the wings in the prequel, you just have to collect them like the other power ups or BUY. I mean, with gems, you don’t have to die. Which means that the leaderboards would be filled with average people who don’t mind spending money rather than talented folks who are good at the game. The graphics are wayyyy awesome with the new engine but it makes the game kinda heavy to handle on previous generation iOS devices. I mean, the game skipped a bit while I was playing on an iPhone 4S and a notification came in [and I didn't die because I am awesome], what then happens to the iPod Touch folks? There are some familiar things too; basically the same controls, except for the cart. The characters are the same although they left behind a few unnecessary ones. [I don't really care as long as my baby boo favourite character Karma Lee makes an appearance]. In fact the game is not that different. Imangi was probably going for “Don’t fix what ain’t broken” and decided not to change too much of the game. It’s hella fun, been playing it since I got it. I’m even playing it right now, as I type…because I don’t have to look at what I type…didn’t I tell you guys I’m cyborg?..oh..some other time then. I just hope I don’t get tired of it quickly since it’s pretty much the same game. I’ll give this one a solid 7.5/10 because with improved graphics Karma Lee looks sexier than ever. Here are some screenshots for Android users who can’t just go and grab the game. :p “ntorr” https://a1156.phobos.apple.com/us/r1000/106/Purple/v4/b0/fa/d7/b0fad704-b942-0e15-602b-eb0597006929/mzl.lymhojni.320x480-75.jpg https://a1221.phobos.apple.com/us/r1000/072/Purple/v4/8b/12/7a/8b127ace-7cd3-9e8d-2745-d1654b3f3a30/mzl.szobcqyg.320x480-75.jpg https://a1723.phobos.apple.com/us/r1000/096/Purple/v4/8e/2c/b7/8e2cb718-d9c7-b9d4-c4e3-c3e4228ab08c/mzl.wsxvshun.320x480-75.jpg SOURCE |

hello, I think its possible but firstly, you would have to talk to someone in the school you are willing to attend. Maybe a professor in the department you wish to belong. These people have influencing powers and that can be of help to you in changing your visa status. I am not saying they would be the ones to change it, but through them and with the help of the school they can put out good words to the embassy or whatever authority thats responsible for the change. They are powerful like that... |

Someone said my favorite things to blog about are money, music, and women. I entirely disagree with this. I think it may be time to post a link to the other blog I have, the one with my sex tape on it..maybe not yet sha… -Andre Blaze Last week, I sat in an airplane and listened to a quartet of strangers discuss the women they were with and the reasons why they stayed, and then of course, conversation veered to the reasons why they would jump out of those relationships given half a chance. So I did what every amebo since man created literature had done: I listened and pretended to read something. By the time the flight landed, I was wiser and more bewildered than I was before our flight took off. And here’s why: EVERY guy knows that one chick that’s mad. No, I don’t mean the “she-wears-flip-flops-to-the-mall?-awww-cute” kinda mad, I mean the “oh-wow-did-she-just-kill-that-fierce-German-shepherd-barehanded?” mad. And yet, despite knowing better, we tell ourselves all sorts of lies, declare her safe to be with and say she’s mostly misunderstood, mostly due to the orgasm which we are on the way to, and the subsequent hundreds later. So, if we knew from the go (or cum), why do we act like we just saw a ghost when she resorts to her ‘uncooly-mad’ behaviour? Mother Nature has fitted certain tell-tale signs in the loonies by default, so if you spot them, don’t stand there thinking that things will pan out differently for you than they did for the last three guys buried under all those plush roses in her backyard. When she smiles like Bree from Desperate Housewives, as she ‘playfully’ tells you that she’ll kill any girl she finds you messing with, and then kill you, and then doesn’t laugh as heartily as you do at the ‘joke’, ask for permission to go to the bathroom, or to answer a call, or to help an old lady cross the street, and as soon as you’re a safe distance away, teleport yourself via your feet or car or taxi, go home, take what absolute vital documents you need to reinvent yourself as Enrique when you eventually arrive in South America, move out of your apartment, and NEVER, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, come back. Okay, I understand, not everyone can be sharp enough to understand the writing in the wall when they meet some of these women, and I get it, really. So the next three paragraphs are dedicated to those of you who need cues and interpretations. These are some frequently occurring statements and here’s what they mean. “I’m not a ho.” Close your eyes and try to form a mental picture of a person who would say this. They are never saying for the first time, trust me. And why would anyone need to continually assure all and sundry that they are not a certain thing? Well, if you believe in the tooth fairy, it could be because they are just committed to clearing misunderstandings abut ho they are. Or it could be because they have been misunderstood once before, or one time too many, and if you HAVE been misunderstood one time too many, I’m tempted to bring in the analogy of smokes without fire, but seeing as I am not a sarcastic, cynical bastard, I will not mention that you most likely are. See how convincing it is when we deny things verbally? Especially when nobody asks? “I’m not a groupie.” And of course she isn’t. Sometimes things happen by coincidence! Sometimes you DO meet a famous person at the grocery store while you just happened to be dressed great and wearing the best make-up known to man! Of course. But then again, perhaps it stands to reason that if you planned to be at said grocery store because you knew said celebrity would drop by, and by ‘planned’, I actually mean bribed someone for the info, then stalked the store, and waited, and staked out the store like a potential robbery target until sheer exhaustion on he part of fate gave you the opportunity by bringing the unsuspecting famous face into your target area, then perhaps it’s only right that the above sentence; “I’m not a groupie”, be shorter of one word. Can you guess which? Yes? Not? Ha ha. “I’m not a gold digger.” Since this awful phrase; “gold digger” was invented, I’m told that gold miners all over the world have protested silently by boycotting the hit E! Entertainment tv show “Keeping With The Kardashians” and all related spinoffs. Sad, isn’t it? But who IS a gold digger? Is it the guy who marries an older woman for money, the woman who marries an older bank account cleverly disguised as a man twice her fathers age who’s also senile? Or hey, let’s face it; is it you? One thing is for certain, while the bogeyman and Santa may be imaginary, gold diggers are not. How do you spot them? They’ll be the ones dressed to kill at the city’s ‘big boy bar’, asking some guy who looks like he sweats gold bullion for a N5,000-a-shot drink and carrying N750 in fifty naira notes in their purse. Or they might look like Kim Kardashian. *Kanye shrug* There are a lot of things wrong with the world today; global warming, high cost of living, increased crime, Soulja Boy…I mean, it’s hard to think of a good reason to be positive sometimes. All I’m saying is, don’t contribute to the unhappiness in the world by being with the wrong person. Don’t expect women to change who they are for you. Instead, find the one who fits your lifestyle and settle in, and hopefully your remarkable breakup story won’t become a trending topic on Twitter or wind up on Linda Ikeji’s blog. And on that note, I’m done. https://miabaga.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Andre-Dark-Hues.jpg SOURCE |
Personally, have always been intrigued with fraud of any kind. Maybe it was my days interning with an investment bank and witnessing the variety of cases even from some of the most honest people I knew (or at least so I thought). Growing up, I always dreamt about how I would be a great basketball player. I never could jump high enough, I couldn’t guard enough and I couldn’t think fast enough, so the coach dumped me. My fate always made me think twice about the athletes that do extraordinary things such as His airness, Michael Jordan, Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps and even Messi now. How come they are extraordinary at what they do and I am… well, yeah, me. Let’s leave me for a sec and talk about how we look up to these sportsmen and idolize them. And then at some point on the road, the prowess in sportsmanship we place on such a high pedestal crashes to the ground. We find out it’s all a hoax Ben Johnson https://miabaga.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/article-1023170-016EF48100000578-716_468x593.jpg The year was 1988, the stage was set, the venue was Seoul, capital of South Korea, event was the Olympics, the task ahead was the 100m finals, add a purpose minded coach ready to win at all cost, and a great student willing to take in all the teachings. This was a battle royale. A battle of cultures between the proud Americans versus their gentle Canadian neighbours. Alas, Ben Johnson was too fast for his own good. When one looks at the race, it was clear Ben had to have been on something, how could he have beaten the rest of the pack as such when he wasn’t smoking whatever it is Usain Bolt’s mum plants in her backyard? Ben was all the glory and then shame. Marion Jones, her Ex and her second Ex https://www.mtsacrelays.com/archives/HallFame/MarionJones.jpg This is some Bonny and Clyde stuff, except that there were three Clydes(Two of the Clydes were caught for doping, but not Marion, (hence my assertion that women make better fraud perpetuators than their male counterparts). I have to be frank, had Marion not been stopped she would have gold medals even in gymnastics. She could run, she could jump, she could play basketball but she could not hide the substance properly. How sad. There should be money back guarantee from her supplier. The teethy Belizean-American did make a comeback as a basketball player on the female team of the Tulsa Shock after going broke, confessing on the preferred confession medium (Oprah). Diego and the hand https://miabaga.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/diego_maradona-1982.jpg Argentina and the UK have always fought, well, over a tiny island called Falkland, but nothing was like the battle in 1986. In one epic World Cup quarter finals match Diego went from scoring the most fraudulent goal in the history of soccer through the famed hand of God to scoring the most brilliant goal in football history. Period. How? By dribbling through nearly everyone on the English team. Tiger woods https://miabaga.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Tiger-woods-904x1024.jpg This is a strange sporting fraud, as Tiger’s fraud had little or nothing to do with sports, but the image he cut for us all. Poster boy and stuff. Rated by far and all, as the best black male DNA/stock/royal oats out there at his peak. Every parent’s dream for their daughter. A Sportsman, Rich man, Gentleman etc. We took all of Tiger into our lives via the multiple endorsements from Nike, Gatorade, KPMG etc and so did 29 other women take all of his Tiger too literally. Tiger was caught red handed cheating with more than 29 women and his wife promptly took HALF (you need to have watched Eddie Murphy RAW to understand the word HALF better Lance Armstrong https://miabaga.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/lance_custom-6fed8a36797f3ac2fac7524aa3e0415f8949e805-s6-c10-856x1024.jpg Oh Lance, how could you? If you had been a Nigerian politician, Only God knows how much you would have stolen by now. You won seven times and didn’t even consider sharing titles with your teammates at the US Postal office sponsored team. Little wonder, they snitched. Those guys deserve some award for their silence over the years. How do you think they felt having to explain their loss year in year out to their wives and kids. Daddy is just not good enough to beat Lance. Ten years. Ten whole years. Somewhere in between, I am sure it felt like he wasn’t really using anything other than a cold glass of Glucose D. Hey, the fact that we don’t know what you are using doesn’t mean we believe you are not using. I quote a Forbes report I read recently: You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time,” said Abraham Lincoln, “but you can not fool all of the people all of the time”. In 1997, Lance even conquered testicular, brain and lung cancer all at the same time to win the Tour de France (better known as Tour de Lance) again in 1999. Hey Guys, Wait a minute DID LANCE ARMSTRONG EVEN HAVE TESTICULAR CANCER or was that part of the scam too. Usain Bolt, Le Bron James, Phelps, at this point on the road, I DON’T CARE ANYMORE. JUST PLEASE, DON’T GET CAUGHT. I don’t know if my heart can take anymore. -Contributor Source |

https://miabaga.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/8M7V42201.jpg 9 Lessons on How To Be a Rapper- With Modenine From it’s beginnings not to many years ago in Nigeria, Hip hop has moved from being regarded with suspicion to being viewed as a viable art form. A lot of ‘young uns’ these days set out with the good intent to rap and make good music. It’s a tough world out there. We figure they’ll be needing a little guidance. And who better to ask for help than Modenine? https://miabaga.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/8M7V42091.jpg Can anybody rap? Um. That’s a very deep question. Yes and no. It just depends on interest. If you’re really interested and you can speak English or any other language to a respectable degree, than, yes you can rap. But you have to really want to. So people who want to rap because they want to be superstars or famous or something, they got it wrong. LESSON#1: RESPECT THE ART Is there anybody who shouldn’t be allowed to rap? Well you know I can’t call out names here. What sort of person shouldn’t be allowed to rap? Well there are a lot of people I here nowadays just doing it for the stardom, or fame or whatever. Those people shouldn’t be allowed to rap. How powerful is hip hop? Hip hop is really powerful. You see places like America where they have an entire culture built around it. Where it’s become an important part of the society. In Nigeria, people don’t really understand hip hop. They don’t know what it is. They see you putting on bling bling and and Supras they call it hip hop. Anybody singing they say it’s hip hop. So as for Nigeria…I don’t know…. I don’t really know what to say about Nigeria. I think that’s why you can’t blame any rapper who starts singing you can’t really blame them. We have a lot of rappers who’ve started singing. And it’s because they’ve been rapping for a while and it’s like oh boy nobody dey feel me oh. LESSON#2: DON’T BEEF UNLESS YOU HAVE TO. Beef in hip hop. Is it part of the culture or one of those things? Beef. Beef is part of life. People are always beefing each other. At work, at the office, in music people are always beefing. It’s part of life. Me I’ve never really liked the whole beef thing oh. If I don’t like you, I don’t like you. I won’t go around saying things behind anyone’s back. And beef is different from people who just hate. Some people are just hating ‘because’. Some people have taken shots at me. Some young cats….And I don’t really listen to Nigerian hip hop like that. So anybody subbing me in their songs… They’re just wasting their time mehn. I won’t even hear it. I’ve had my own share of beef, here and there….but Beef I don’t I don’t really like it. One thing is I won’t say shit behind your back. I’m just a real guy like that. LESSON #3: WORK YOUR ARSE OFF How do you write? Umm… sometimes I write very fast and if I’m writing very fast it just means that I like the beat so much and …sometimes If I have a beat I really love, I write multiple songs to it. Sometimes I’m very spontaneous. Other times I write one line and just get tired and leave it. It just depends. What are you working on right now? This week, I’ve been working on mixing my project. It’s a collaborative album between myself and XYZ. I was gonna put it out online for free. But naah, this year I’m not doing that. And it’s funny. I put out online that it’s not going to be free and some people started insulting me. Like everything I put out now should be free. But I need to keep doing what I’m doing. I’m not really getting any support but I do this because I’m a fan of hip hop, you know? What else for the year? I’m working on this project. Me and XY we’re doing that. I’m also working on a solo album. A couple collabos been working on. You know some of these big stage artistes it can take them up to 6 months to even a year to get on your song. I’ve hollered at some and they aren’t coming through. I mean it’s nothing personal but if you aren’t going to do it, just say no. I have no problem with that. What I don’t like is when you waste my time. And I understand that some are very busy. But when the time comes to release the album I’m not waiting anymore. Nothing personal. That’s just how it’ll be. Just know that when you want to get a verse from me, it ain’t gonna happen. So my solo album it’s going to be in a different album. It’s not going to be a hip hop album. It’s for Nigeria. I have to have one of those ‘Action Film’ kinda songs. *laughs* Basically, MI’s album is the blueprint for mainstream Nigerian hip hop. It works . It’s got introspective songs, it’s got some conscious songs, some don’t mess with me songs. You have to just balance it out. Cus Nigerians they wanna be in clubs and they wanna dance. So if you make songs just for yourself you discover people aren’t listening. I’m putting out two albums this year. If care is not taking I’ll be putting out three. LESSON#4 LEARN. NEVER STOP I don’t hate on anybody. Like Master P. Everybody hated on Master P that he was wack. Same thing with Diddy too. But I sat back and thought: this guy has made so much money. How did he do it? He’s the branding king. I respect people like that. I respect anybody trying to do their thing and making it. There’s always something to learn. LESSON #5: LIVE LONG. AND PROSPER What should every young rapper know? Know that every good thing has an end. But you can extend it past the expiry date. You can extend it by being calm and focused. Some up and coming dudes…people don’t really know them…people don’t know them at all. And they already trying to pose as a threat. When I was starting out I was..I still am…a big fan of hip hop. I love music mehn. I liked everybody. I wanted to be everybody. There wasn’t a need for me to try to compare and say oh: this one is better than this, or something. Me I’m a fan of this hip hop thing oh. LESSON #6: COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS What’s the biggest blessing? Ah mehn biggest blessing first of all is my skill. It’s a gift that I’m grateful for. Secondly, people come to me and are like mehn that your song I really felt it. And it’s like somebody you’ve never met before. And when people come and say that song really touched me it’s just…. …being able to touch all this people over. Yeah…I’ll say that’s one of the biggest blessings. Read complete story |
