the story reminds of Meg in family guy that turned to god simply because she felt that, that is the only place she could get love. her faith was shaken later when she realized that she wasn't loved by the so called god all along.
she was only trying to fill the void in her life (which is love), that she is not getting from anywhere.
seriously, i doubt if her faith is gonna last long if the base of her faith is founding the love of god. anyway good luck to her.

Erelu_Y: Thanks for all your comments and reactions, etc. The baby of the family is returning to Nigeria from the UK because following the successful completion of her PhD, she has so far not been able to land a suitable job. Far too many PhDers chasing the same jobs in and out of the academia. Besides, she has no Indefinite or Permanent Leave to Remain visa stamp on her passport, which currently makes it difficult for non-EU citizens to secure jobs. More importantly, her visa is fast running out, and she's not going to break any immigration rules.
Now, that's the person i can truly call a Nigerian.

Not some douche that will do anything to stay in a country that is not favorable to him/her even to the extent of doing sham marriage and soil our name more.

We will welcome her back home.. and trust me, she wont miss a thing

Freiburger:

You forgot you need to make money first before paying taxes. Nigerian government won't bother taxing the citizens because it is a parallel society,
everybody pays tax in Nigeria, unelse u are jobless or still living under someone. the difference is, we dont pay tax for shitting in our own toilets or the oxygen we breathe, all those unnecessary nonsense taxes grin

the government on one lane and the masses on another lane.
that's what u made yourself to believe in political line, so i can't change your thought. but dont forget, the government is also from the masses.

I rather pay high taxes for good roads, quality education for my kids, clean drinking water, constant electricity supply, and a perfect pension scheme....
this is exactly the mentality i always talk about. some of u will rather pay tax into a country built by other people for their citizens, obey their laws, live gently. but invade tax here in Nigeria, break simple traffic law, live like they are above the law in Nigeria, and they want the country to become Dubai overnight. if every american or english had that mentality, will there country become this powerful?. By the way, Not every Nigerian roads are bad.(the ratio of good roads is more than the bad ones). if there is no clean water, every Nigerians would be dead by now of cholera or typhoid. electricity has improved, u can use the unnecessary tax u pay in uk to get other source of energy if u are not satisfied with the supply at the moment and still save some cash in the end. and to u no perfect pension scheme in Nigeria? when was the last time u visited nigeria?

As for the discrimination, any Nigerian will be discriminated against when they the try to disply the some of the weak and shamful education that is offered to them by their greedy government as soon as they cross the boarder not only in the UK.
how does this make sense? Nigeria is the only country with bad education in the world? please re read this again and tell me the sense i can make of it.

Freiburger: What is wise in intentionally reducing one own's lifespan? What could be the reason behind that? Patriotism? For a country who dosen't care about me?
hmmm!.... #interesting! so, moving back home to a decent country where i can call myself a first class citizen and and not a monkey by one drunk white football hooligan or treated as a second class citizen because am a Nigerian or black is worth dieing for?

I bet you are not in uK. taxes alone are enough to reduce your life span let alone other stuffs like discrimination.

If Nigeria doesn't care about, the country you are in presently, does it care about U? does it treat u specially because u are black or a nigerian? does it treat it u like the other first class citizens in that country? if your answer is (yes) to all the questions, then i wish u Luck and never come back to Nigeria ever again

thanks

as for me, am back home.. living Nigerian Dream... The best country ever
and i will do everything possible to move the Great Nation forward

Politics / Re: Fashola Commissions Carter Bridge Lighting Project. PICS by RedLight1: 6:58pm On Jul 01, 2013
Rossikk: Good development. Lagos has really needed its lights switched back on after decades of half-hearted to none-existent attention by previous state govts. Kudos to the Fashola govt. What we need to see in Lagos now is the building of a citywide underground drainage system, elimination of open drains and the building of raised walkways/sidewalks for pedestrians even in minor streets. Then it can start to seriously challenge cities like JoBurg, London, New York and co.

Also, it will help if folks saw these developments in their proper context - as Nigerian achievements - and not let sectional parochialism becloud their reasoning. wink
now, that's why i like this guy #nohomo.
while others are criticizing like idiots, he criticizes constructively, like someone that wants the country to move forward...

well done bro ... Nigeria will surely be there someday.
GOD BLESS NIGERIA
