grin grin grin grin. Na there way
as in grin grin grin

I quickly got ahead of the situation, there plan was to be dropping 5 messages to different contacts everyday, they will now call me and say that have I paid. if No they will drop like that. They wanted to be making it drip by drip...I just said fucck it... Let me inform my contacts myself. I messaged everyone personally and then on whatsapp that these 2 numbers that were sending the messages where SPAM numbers known for lies and falseholds and desperation. They should ignore any message from SOKOLOAN or anyone saying fraudster or Used as reference.

After they now knew the messages didnt work, they now started spamming my own line everyday with threats...as in it was disheartening. They have stopped now sha, one lady in particular very rude, she threatened everything...she will finish me, she will find me. she will deal with me,,, she willl blah blah blah untop 5k grin grin grin grin

The desperation was real, as in me sef con dey blame myself say y i go take loan from this poor people, very desperate like all their lives depended on the 5k. I learnt my lesson the hard way though. grin grin

grin grin grin the kind criminal message soko people go send ur contacts ehn,,people wey never call u since nineteen86 go begin call u ask u wetin happen
very true. had this experience with sokoloan. As in, it was terrible....I just didnt have the money, it wasnt even that i didnt want to pay. Give me more time na lie, always bombarding me with calls and then they started spaming my contacts with messages like I used them for reference which i never did and then saying I was an alleged fraudster on the run for 5k grin grin grin........mehn it wasnt funny.... when about 5 people called me, I was so infruriated and then now decided I was never going to pay back. I sent messages to all my contacts they my gmail contacts had been hacked and i'm being defamed by scammers desperately trying to tarnish my image. All my contacts got the message so people stopped contacting me. They were even piting me sef, that was how i was able to overcome. After a while I blocked all their contacts, there is this particular rude girl sending threatning messages everytime that they will arrest me, they will do this....untop 5k abeg shift comot. e don reach about 4 months now. The last person to call me I said if i pay now will they retract their lies and defaming mesages, if they defame me they should take that as the money abeg, no time. Now me and folks laugh about them as Scammers.

But seriously something meeds to be done about Sokoloan, they have very unethical practices. Somebody needs to sue them and put them out of business, get them banned on playtore or something. Very rude HND or OND loan recovery agents that cant even spell well.

They don’t need to change constitution to stop foreigners abusing the health care.
Hmmmn true, but even a mere act of parliament is very tedious now with the hyper partisanship in the United States. The last time comprehensive immigration reform passed was in 1970s during the Reagan Administration. Nothing can get 60 votes now in the United States Senate and any Trumpian bill is dead on arrival in a democratic controlled House. Same goes for healthcare, democrats would resist any changes, it wont get 60 votes in the senate, heck it won't even get 51 votes if done through budget reconciliation, that's how fraught healthcare bills are in the United States. So it's tough.

I honestly don't know about Brazil, but it's a federal republic and I suspect the processes should be similar to that of America. I could be wrong though. Maybe MrBrownJay can speak on it although I highly doubt they would change there healthcare laws just cos of some perceived abuse by foreigners.

Constitution can never be changed? Are you people really living in the same planet as some of us? How did the UK stopped citizen by birth? Canada is heading towards some changes as well.
This is your problem. it is far far difficult to change constitution in the US or Brazil than either Uk or Canada or these european countries. That's why I kept saying if cos I know you are using UK eyes to view this thing. grin

when was the last time there was a constitutional amendment either in the US or Brazil?

Obviously you have not being reading or you refused to read at all, take your time and go through US birthing thread from part 1 till the current part and tell me if anything has changed.

US is far bigger than Brazil and birthing there is not free but still they slammed the door to a large number of people going there to give birth even as they will be paying, Brazil offers free health care and will do the same sooner than US when a large proportion of people using their health care system are foreigners.

No country will have an open door policy for whoever wants to come in to use the health care and leave without contributing nothing to the system.

If you think that things will not change then i need some of whatever you have being smoking.
if by closing the door you mean making it very difficult for folks here in Lagos to get a US or Brazilian Visa maybe but even that I don't fully agree with because my firm belief is that if you are qualified and meet the requirements you can get any visa, doesn't matter whatever requirements they come up with.

if you meant, the US authorities or Brazilian authorities will close the door on Nigerians already in the US or Brazil on valid tourist visas or any other kind of valid visas, that is impossible because of constitutional amendments in both countries to effect such change. Birth citizenship is a constitutional right in both countries. This isn't the UK. it's a matter of getting there and having your money(in case of the US) or finding a good hospital(in case of Brazil)

I hope my point is clearer now

You will remember this post when Brazil slam the door on Nigerians for the abuse of their free health care system, the US started like this but now the door is almost completely closed.
The US never had a free healthcare system and there is no door closed for Nigerians as far as I am concerned. I have never be denied a US visa and if you meet the requirements and do well in the interview there just isn't any reason to be denied a US visa(or frankly any other visa) even with Trump and the drop box cancellation. I actually consider the US visa to be the easiest to get, it's very straightforward if you meet the requirements.

Same goes for this Brazilian visa too. Brazil is a very big country, almost 200m population and isn't the UK or any of these European countries. There's no trooping in of Nigerians that will suddenly make Brazillian authorities start to close any door. Most people that take advantage of this birth citizenship are from visa free countries to Brazil..there is a well known INTERNATIONAL thread on this that has been going on for years, it's not like its a new thing it's just that Nigerians are just waking up to it.

The Brazilian door will close pretty soon just like the US.
I'm not sure what you mean by the door closing, but if it's about the Immigration Laws changing then there is close to zero chance of that happening either in the US or Brazil. Jus soli is deeply ingrained in the Americas. If you are talking about the local interview processes to either places from Nigeria then that's another matter.

So i'm a startup entrepreneur working on a tech solution. I won the Tony Elumelu 2018 grant. the trouble is the money will come around Nov/Dec but I do need cash now to pay for our co-working space and test prototype. I was wondering would a bank or microfinance bank be willing to give a loan based on this or are there other credible lenders out there. I'm just confused on how to go about sourcing for funds. Please anyone with an idea your input is quite appreciated

Sir,am not from ogun.am not even a yoruba but from the little i know of ogun politics theoretically plus the comments iv read here, its the turn of ogun west to rule and odebiyi would have been perfect but amosun has picked akinlade while the other camp has dapo.i think akinlade is apc best chance of winning the guber seat.he wipl divide ogun west with gni,win ogun central by a wide margin and lose marginally in ogun east.but abiodun cant win any zone except with amosun's support.i pray the logjam is resolved amicably with triple A benefitting.
whatever resolution reached will not end up benefitting Triple A. who wants an Amosun stooge? People are sympathetic to Yewa but Amosun already blew the chance and the Yewa elders were cowards for not challenging him. it's a wide open field now

Broda mi, bi iku ile o pa ni, ti ode oo le pani.
The issue is imposition of candidates has not worked in ogun state. Obj and OGD tried it and faiied. That was how Amosun became governor.

If he had not imposed his candidate on the party and sent other yewa contestants away, if he allowed a levelled playing ground for everyone, i doubt the NWC would have intervened the way they did.

GNI's imposition by OGD is what is affecting his chances till today.
I hope APC resolves the iss, but there are other options in other parties. It is not compulsory ogun votes APC.
You have said it all. Ogun state is very allergic to imposition. Amosun won't have been governor if OGD didnt make that error. He too has now set in motion the governorship to go to anybody other than his stooge. People never learn from history. The only sure thing is that the next Governor will not be Akinlade

Which OBJ gan are u talking about? The one that can't win d polling booth in front of his house, not to talk his ward...which candidate has he ever made to win anything in Ogun...name any.

Hate him or like him, he obviously is not perfect and has his own flaws like any human, but Amosun is d best Gov ever in d history of this State...The bridges are there already and might not be fully utilised now...but with Lagos bn overcrowded, people are now moving to Ogun State...if the train line d FG is constructing begins operation, people will relocate en-mass to Ogun and be working in Lagos. Is it until when this happens that we start rushing to construct bridges and infrastructure to meet up...plus how do u attract investors if u lack good infrastructure in place...it is called foresight; bn proactive instead of bn reactive.

Ogun Central is locked down for him...without all these Osobas u are talking about, he won in 2015...when Osoba thought in 2015 he was still relevant and chose to flex his weak muscle, he and his Matagbamole Group decamped to another party...a single seat, they couldn't win...if Amosun should move out of APC in Ogun today, APC is finished in d State...Even d VP himself, Osinbajo can't win Lado in Ogun East, not to talk of Kashamu...All these people are not up to one, i swear.

Is it Dapo Abiodun who couldn't win his Senatorial District in 2015, disappeared into thing air without contributing jack shit to d party for 3 years, only to return and be flexing muscle...time will tell sha.
You are such an Amosun apologist. In any case, Amosun is currently running frompillar to post now trying to change things in Abuja but that ship has sailed Long ago. There is no going back on Dapo Abiodun.

Forget about Dapo losing to Buruju, he has become the rallying point of all anti-Amosun forces and his backers are very formidable. You have the likes of Oshiomole, Osinbajo, Dangote,Tinubu and Osoba. His personal rapport with Buhari isn't suffiient to change this outcome. Dapo is not YAYI o.

What does he want
Honestly i dont even know... the last eruption he went to ask my mom for 2k and she said she doesn't have that he should go and get a job. she was suspicious that he wants to use the money to buy weed. That's how the barrage of insults and shouting started.....i don tire for this matter
HealthNeed Advice On This Situation by RedPanda(op): 7:39pm On Jun 13, 2018
So I have this younger brother(25Yrs) who's a weed/codeine drug addict. This guy is a graduate and went to one of the private universities and has since graduated but no job. There is nothing we haven't tried and last time we(myself and my mom) took him to Aro in Abeokuta. He didn't complete the treatment there and left after the 1st phase...They have 3 phases for their drug treatment. Now the issue is he's devolving now hurling insults and behaving erratic and psychotic almost everyday. My mom who he stay with at home has to bear the brunt of all his deluded psychotic statements. It's a sad story.

Nobody knows what to do again?? He can't leave the house,he's in a drug fuelled haze, very lazy, seems entitled and just harasses and torments those at home. You cannot talk to him, nobody can talk to him. I've stopped going home to avoid confrontations.

My fear right now is that this episodes dont devolve into where he will get physical with my mom. We just dont know what to do.

[s][/s]I AM SORRY I HAVE TO CANCEL YOU OUT BCUS YOU DON'T SEEM TO MAKE SENSE. I understand your problem already. Your goal is written on the wall.

Your dilemma is like this:

A bearded popstar (non-muslim) attends convocation, you all hail him and want to take pictures with him, and you have no problem with him. Matter of fact, many of you will go further to say "i like men with beard". In the same convocation, a bearded muslim man is among the gathering, the next thing you people say is " he is a terrorist. This is not islamic country. This is secular gathering". But in reality, beard is beard. Anyone with 10 cent worths of brain knows this is prejudice, hate, bias and intolerance. Therefore, I am afraid that nigeria is heading to a lizard hole of no return with attitude of you christians and non muslims.

Once again, you bypassed evidences raised about those pictures. Those are taken in Western world at non-religious professions. Are you more democratic than them?. Are you more secular than them?. That's the question you are yet to answer, buddy.
You are becoming redundant with this your thinking it wont get you anywhere. You also know nothing about the western world you quote.
