It makes sick to my stomach be a nigerians when some sick basta-rds points out chimps like obj as great nigerian leaders.

As far i am concern, there are no political leaders at the moment in nigeria. It is all man to himself and i am proud of my origin.

kulyie: Wow,thats nice.am happy for them.the set of people who our sick society has neglected, abandoned, trampled upon and looked down on are rewarded.thats good to know.they deserve it.to all the widows and divorcees, you still have a life after a dead marriage or spouse :*
Rewarded by putting them in a whole new differently mess? All a normal system would have done is support them finacially and otherwise to make them independent and productive citizens that will choose to get married when they deem fit.Not being given away to some set of malus that will keep them submerged forever, all in the name of stigma and religion.

The kano state goivernor is a bokoharam,he is turning kano,a once bubbling metropolitan city into a primitive one.He is a taliban from all indications.

jaymichael: four wives, numerous children. you don see where him money go. if you calculate the money for only marriage ceremonies and ikomo alone,
You are right.Four wives are for multimillionaires with multiinvestments, not for pilfering millionaires that will go broke as soon as the avenue for stealing stops.

sabo oke: Baba is well respected locally and internationally, beliv it or go die
No sane person respects an african leaders, especially a notorious one like nigeria outside the shores of africa, with the exception of nobles like Mandela and Tutu.

Only foo-ls respect failures.Obj is a tool used by the imperialists to oppress africans and they are the only people that acknowledges him.
^^^To each his own.....we have to make allowances for ethnic bigots, so carry go abeg.

On topic: i'd say nationally is Soyinka, and internationally is Achebe; personally, there's little to seperate the two.
They are all in the same class,Fela,Soyinka,Femi Kuti,Achebe,Tai solarin,Gani and some other quiet gentle noble men and women, like my late parents. While people like obj, anenih, kalu, atiku, ibb, bankole, chukwumerije, tinubu and co are in the rogue class that most nigerians have grown to see as leaders and even role models.

Crime › Re: EFCC Arrest Suspected Internet Fraud Cartel by redsun(m): 9:08pm On Jan 05, 2013
Crime is legitimately pursued discipline in nigeria.Everybody is in one way or the other a crominal, that is why nigerians are home with criminals as leaders.

The ones that didnt settle the police and judges well are the ones that are persecuted.

dayokanu: Achebe the bigot? I dont think so. More like Prof Wole Soyinka. I think he was one of those who MEND chose to negotiate on their behalf some years back
Just because he spoke the truth about your psychopatic hero does not change his nobilty.Truth hurts but it is not sinful.

ogaemma: Dear Naira landers,
I came up with this thought after I watched live on AIT the wedding of Gov. Okorocha's daughter in Owerri.
I this the most respected man in Nigeria is Obasanjo. I do not know if there is any living man in Nigeria who have equalled the kind of public respect and honour that is giving to Obasanjo in occassions.
What do you think? Pls share your experience; who is the most respected & honoured living man in Nigeria?
Are you talking of genuine respect that good men Achebe deserve or nigerian kind of respect for bandits like obj?

OkparaIgbo: Thank you brothers for coming onboard on this. I had to take on some reetarded Ignoramuses on this thread.
I mean,it is just as simple as ABC,a people deserve the leaders they get.Among the present rogue nigerian elite, the igbo/delta ones to me,seems to be more devastating to their people.

Whether south, east, west and north, the same gang of banditary elite rule the roost and bunch of disiilusioned populace are the electorates.Electorates that can mortgage their future and that of their offspring for mere bag of salt and bowls of polished rice, osikapa.
Politics › Re: Igbo President Will Refine And Rebrand Nigeria by redsun(m): 6:20pm On Jan 05, 2013
Nigerian society is not mentally matured enough to welcome sane leadership. It is very tribal and a tribal society is a primitive one, devoid of sound reasoning, sound judgement and cooperation.

When the people grows mentally, sane and responsible leadership will come natural.
What hardway ? Do I sound like a criminal to you mr truckpusher ? Look inward and reason well before trying to defend the indefensible.Police arrest a 10-mang gang armed robbers, you find 8 ibos and 2 yorubas there.what does that statistic tells you ?
Idio-ts like you always remain tribaly twisted, irrational and docile, and with your type, nigeria will always remain what it is,a dungeon for fo0ols and bigots.

The act of piracy, kidnapping and robbery are all part of rebellion against a system that never was.A system that is ruled by rogues that at the same time wishes the common man will be civil.

While scrolling down to read individual contributions, all you will be seeing is 1st to comment. Its distracting
You tend to forget that even in the remotest of the settlements in nigeria, people have coonected laptops in palm wine joints and it actually cost nothing to register on nairaland.

Politics › Re: Nairaland Igbo And Yoruba New Years Peace Convention by redsun(m): 6:04pm On Jan 03, 2013
This is more like tying to make fo-oolish bigots feel important.Nobody is making up with anybody,it is either you are a progressive or inherently backward. The only people at war here that are not outrightly against the evil politicians, corruptions and gross moral decadence in the society are the fo-ols that are part of nigerian great plagues, just like the politicians themselves.
