Adex099: huh?Unilorin "better by far." That's the slogan/ motto. Unilorin is ONE OF THE BEST INSTITUTION IN NIGERIA. I'm not from Ilorin neither am i a student, but i must confess that indeed Unilorin is a better university many should wish to be. Every neccessary aspect of a student towards becoming a degree owner is well and strictly planned for. Still a student of Olabisi Onabanjo University, the Department of Sociology and Psychology. OSU, we expect changes. Inshaa Allah |
Unilorin have added to its departments, the department of psychology, and others. For those with concrete information about their preferred Utme combination for psychology, please tell me. Also, can this combination work, English+Government+Commerce+Literature...? Thanks. |
Kiingsolomon: chaii!... Nairalander and d moderators shaaaa!. Must he write everytin in an official way?... If "yes", y cant u talk about dose ones abbreviating simple words on NL, like; "pple" wen dey mean *people*::: "cum" wen dey mean *come* etc.English is also a noun. 'English words' is correct. English language, English literature and so on. 'Your English' is correct, as well as 'my English...' and so on. Here it means your spoken language or your kind of language spoken by the British, Americans and so on. E.g. I have to improve my english. |
I also bear witness to the season 2. I watched it some months ago. I found this thread because am even searching for the update of season 3, if it is out. Blackwell and his two daughters (the antagonist and protagonist), bring out a skull from the river and turned it into black when they go home. He also still his two daughters while trying to kill other witches but the combined power of both daughters was enough to hold him off and also kill him. |
How do we dress? So happy to understand better that in the now society of ours, what the society put forth is the conscience to justify every act. If any act is considered normal in our society despite what one's believe says, it is good. In Islam, the Quraan teaches us everything and the best of its explanations, clearity, examples e.t.c are found in the book of Hadith (in the prophet's [pbuh] teachings and practises). Therefore, when our society considered an act good or bad, we make reference to the Quraan and Hadith for verification and its justification. And that's why the sincere muslim women dress up covering almost or their whole self, because Allah spoke of it in the Quraan. And who knows better a creature than his creator? |
elrony: smh....boring!!!!You're still a boy. |
i've been reading comments and people saying foul words for his reaction, you just have to realise how much non muslims lack respect for a muslim and Islam. If something is prohibited in islam, they (the non muslims) see it as what is wrong to have been prohibited, that we even hypabolise it, except that their religion also condemns it (before they comply and respect such norms). May God make us deviate not from the truth when it reaches us. |
Just as he said, another but the last list has been pasted last week. *Serving as an advise to us all, learning here in OOU requires no play but comittment and puting in more efforts no matter how difficult it takes or how little it is. Get your course materials, study ahead, everyday prepare yourself base on what you've learnt or read, and engage less in worldly amusement. *Wishing us all the best as an OOUITE. FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY, ODE REE. |
I pray so too, for the best. Aameen |
@k2039 It interest me to know someone...is showing keen interest in knowing what makes it so special; have you also thought of finding if it is worth counting, if it is acqurate in its numbers of days of a month? A bit of me, i count the moon. It is perfect, and am actually saying this with a sincere heart and to the best of my knowledge. Counting the moon from its cresent until it is fullmoon and then again a cresent before it disappears for a night or two of which it appears again as a cresent and on and on. All these counting makes 29 or 30days. You can learn more about it if you choose to, it is knowledge. We use the Gregorian in Nigeria and i count for it...but i definitely use the Lunar in performing my religious acts. It's acqurate for me. New year, even in my doctrine, my calender, it is what it is, a new year. It holds no meaning or significance other than what it is, A NEW YEAR. With this firm teaching and practise, no day is insignificant and more significant other than our two festivals and one weekly festival (fridays). So i don't celebrate both neither do i make it seem special. |

lavita2: Well, to me January 1st presents a new beginning. A chance to look back and say 'oh, I messed last year and I am going to improve this year'. It presents a renewed strength and vigour to pursue that dream of mine. I look forward to 2013. Have a properous year Fellow Nairalanders. And every year you keep looking back to say 'oh, you messed up last year and you're going to improve another.' Change is constant in man. Whether you like it or not, 2012 or 2013, you will grow and so will your thoughts or dream, such that there will always be a cause to pursue whatever dream you dreamt of or dreaming about, or not. 2012 started with the same notion and now where does it end? Whether you like it or not, you willl surely achieve what God has destined for you when it's time. Poor man and his misguidance, not willing to accept the truth, influenced by his society and companions. Let's not forget that every individual will bare his own cause on the Day of Reckoning, so choose wise your companions and decisions. |
Yes, you can combine both. |
You definately like being chased, and you also like it if other women are being chased too. But the question is: WHY SHOULD A WOMAN BE CHASED? Does it in anyway interpretes that the man (chasing after her) must have been seriously in love with her? Or it is PERFECT that way? Absolutely NO! You make referrences of stories from the western world i.e Cinderella and the rest of that. Many would admit those were the perfect example of what love should be like, for those of them wanting to be chased. Interesting, emotional (and romantic) as they are, circumstances and doctrine had to make us realise how unfitting and imperfect they are. Have we not yet seen how bad their soceity is, in terms of breakups and divorces, dressings and the rest of it, and yet we still look up to them, of all chasings and Cinderellas. From her profile, she looks beautiful. Should that be the reason why i should chase her for how long God knows, before she actually say yes? A Woman is married upon four things, her Beauty, her Wealth, her Lineage, and her Piety (towards God). Going after the one with piety, and we will never have to chase them all about if only we are pious and of good manners too. Women love being chased only if they consider it to be fun and to elevate their status of not been cheap to be with, not of any good importance. It doesn't portray love because it is not what it is until you are together, and the only way to assure yourself of not getting married to the wrong woman is marring the one who has piety. She will definately love you for the sake of God, because you love God too. And you both can easily mend your differences for the sake of God. To conclusion, there is no point in chasing after You, well the society may accept it but there are some occassions when the society doesn't have to dictate for me how best i should thread life. God knows best. |
Except for one thing, the Devil can not escape Hell. This can never be possible. |Signature.Still searching for an apartment close to the P.S, and also conducive for a muslim to live for how long God wills. We believe in what is mainly accepted by the society, perhaps what the society adopts and considered to be right and see fitting to us. We find our way into making it be interms wiith our beliefs, without proofs from our books. Poor Us, Poor Man, and our concepts/ideologies ![]() Thank God i've chosen a path (by proof), you can as well guess. |
When a man is extremely intelligent, he is extremely dangerous. Even to himself. |
Night rest, not yet. Still surfing online, still checking nairaland. I just wanna be fine. Freshers' pour, if u no mind. Registration, verification, all needs information. To make it right, just in time. Right now, i'm gonna say, good night. And to y'll, me safe night. |
Knowledge is a lost thing which everyone of us must find "even if it is as travelling far to China." If you seize to find knowledge, then you will end up being a mediocre or an ignorant. Ignorant and laziness is what makes a man a mediocre in what he does, what he knows, and what he believes. Quite dangerous for life and eternity. Many of us were born into a muslim or christain home and family. It makes the foundation of what we know, how we think, and what we believe. But true knowledge (by studying wide), good morals and sincerity is what defines our true essence. In them we find proofs to believe in what is really meant to believe in, not by inspiration because the days of revelations are far gone. Let's not be sentimental about our life and beliefs. Explore wide to see amongst the signs of your Lord, for real and not by inspiration from a spirit being in a spiritual way when in the real sense you're a man and not a spirit. "When you speak to a man with a language it goes into is mind, but when you speak to a man with is language it goes into his heart." |
jcross19: do you really know why muslims cover up their faces or all over their body ? huh tell me ? do you remember that mohammad slept with his step son's wife ? do you really know how many women are in mohammad compound? do you know that one of your hair if you are woman is aching the malaika in allah paradise? these count a lots why muslims cover up like masqueradeAll praise be to God, the Creator. I'm delighted indeed, having this opportunity to let you know how ignorance with falsehood spread beyond bounds. Firstly, a muslimah (female muslim) covers her hair because it is an order (Al-Qur-aan, chapter 4- Surah An-Nisaai) from their Lord. Secondly, Muhammad (peace be upon him), never slept with his step son's wife, and in fact, none of his sons or children attained puberty before their demise except for two, his daughters (Zainab and Faatima' [may God bless them both]). What you said, was false and there is no proof for that except a mere ignorance and hatred. Thirdly, as for the numbers of wife he had, tell me how many exactly and their names if truly but you know for certain that he has 'many'. Lastly, the Angels (malaaika) do what their Lord ask of them, they are not man and so do they think not or act like one. Like i posted earlier, a women's body (inclusive her hair) is her beauty and nake dness; it doestn't ache or itch them, they just don't glare or visit the one who is expose (nake d), as their Lord commanded. If covering one's body like a masquerade just to please his Lord (the Creator of all) isn't better, then exposing his body just to please man (and is thinking of right and wrong) or those who cover up as musquerade yet people cheer and dance to their tunes and they even celebrate them as done in one of me and you's village, is better? |
He who make no mistake usually do nothing, as it is never too late to make mend of one's erring, that's what makes us a Man. All are prone to go astray save (he who has been guided by Him) God. Waiting for school fee detail, no rush, just don't wanna waste time. 3rd verification thing. ...good to y'all. Ameen |
VirusOO7: You Ơ̴̴͡.̮Ơ̴̴̴͡ d difference between a Gentle mans speech and a Dick's speech! I cant xchange words with you. If you xamine ma post,I tried as much as possible to stay outa abusive words and sort. Well I wldnt react back in a dumb manner. I said the bitter truth and Nothing else!Relating with people base on their level of understanding is one of those key things we've got to implement... The owner of this forum may hailed from this same school...but as far as he is concerned, he never condoned any foul words. Being a stalite or not, what right does it give you to talk to freshers like your pon or your juniors at home. Being freshers doesn't mean they are baby teens or dumb skulls. It is good and humility of us that we address people well irrespective of their status. That's what you aren't showning that i dislike. |
VirusOO7: Even if he came ђε̲̣̣̣̥яε̲̣̣̣̥ for bisnes, shld dat b a problem,Odunnu forget abouh bin d administrator,I come around ђε̲̣̣̣̥яε̲̣̣̣̥ often with ma broda at recordsoft n lemme tell you we appreciate wat abayomi n d likes of kunle are doing dishing out info's to d incoming ones. He might have said words that are rather too harsh buh I tell you this 012/013set are out of hand. If nt for financial constrait,we d last year set almst organised a huge party to celebrate dis same man ABAYOMI because dier was practically № where to get informed better than his tread wen it comes to OOU at large. So pls,Odunnu do away with the Admin scissors n shits! N cut d whole crap.Obviously, if you are a stalite or a graduate, you aren't a brilliant student. You've said lots of trash, and no doubt you must be feeling like you've said something sensible. What a waste... |
Kelvinprinzyy: am very worried o uptil nw i havnt sin nd able to fil the form oo,1k na money o hahahaMy explanation is not for the 1k supplementary form. Pls take note. |
Kelvinprinzyy: mine is stil showin No record(s) found o wat should i do?If you carried out your payment in one of those listed banks at Ijebu Ode and it is up to 72hrs (a count of two days and a half later), and you've filled your personal data, then my opinion is that you should give it a time, few more hours or a day. Hopefully it will come up if carried out as explained. An online filling requires patience, time, and steadfastness. |
Indeed the receipt is coming up now. I checked mine this morning and i saw it uploaded. Printed it out this evening. I paid on wednesday @Ije Ode Wema Bank, filled my data on Tuesday after 72hrs (excluding saturday, sunday, and monday [independent day]), printed it out on Wednesday, and the receipt, today. I'm sharing my experience, so pls ask less question if there is any. I appreciate your support, you all. |
I don't think the answer is yes. I went to the Academic Affairs Office yesterday, and i was told by two women who seems to be working in the office, as said by their boss, that "they should go and relax at home for now." Checking at a 100level student's documents, a brother, his verification was done March this year, infact, he just balanced up his school fee... The most important thing is, printing out the required documents as instructed, doing the neccessary things required in time, and also, visiting Recordsoft for more update(s). I sincerely appericate Mr Abayomi for is support. For some of us, which i strongly believe, part of our success is due to is information and some silly questions asked by others (which in turn, put more light and implies extra care and caution). We keep asking questions like primary student, similar thing from the student of most institution during conversation, is why i decided to take that challenge, to further my education..."if they can, why won't i?" Pls bro/sis, because we don't read the details thoroughly (and over again), we end up doing mistakes (i mean, mistake with the 's') resulting to several questions, killing the answers provided (the instructors). Wish you all, well. Read and listen more...ask less. |
Sometimes, the reason why some amongst us don't recieve a pleasant or satisfying answer to our question, is simply because we don't type or ask our question very well. Abeg, make we try reduce the way wey we dey abbreviate our word, for proper interpretation and comprehension. No be all of us be baby nao, abeg, make we up our swag and modesty for this post. Thumbs up @Followers. |
Ogun state government are thieves. Can't believe the sum of money we are asked to pay, just to get started. N5500 P.utme, N30700 Accpt Fee, 10500 Tax (for a student, even if s/he is an orphan), other verication would cost more, and the school fee (which is nothing less than N100,000. plus for every year). Accomodation and the rest of our needs, roughly N200,000 or more. Are they making life easy for the less priviledge or difficult? There is more to this issue than what i have just explain. I don't think it is cool. ![]() |
