Has all the hallmarks of a traditional assault rifle. Just hope they plan other versions for other purposes. |
For me the red flags: * Mounting debt, which means down the line there will be a devaluation of the naira. * The rumour that this governments wants to gazette the reforms (who does that) meaning that the subsidy issue is not entirely over and future politicians will threaten the refining business in Nigeria as it is.... * Then the biggest one, fundamentals. The margins maybe good now but the refining business is a geo-political football, too unstable. The value lies in petrochemicals and allied products. We are not clear on how these will evolve. Too many ??..??..?? |
Curious345:Neither did I. Too many unanswered questions viz Nigeria's economic outlook. If/when I will try will depend on when it hits foreign markets, then there will have to be a lot more data out there. |
werisetogether:Hmmm...now it may become, 'free Nigerians from Mandela's children....' |
It is like asking the air in your tyre why it chooses the tiny puncture hole to escape when it has all the remaining rubber to rest on. Do the 'bad' things that happen not happen to human beings and will anyone choose such to befall himself.... |
They can do whatever they like....none of my business. |
Hmmm...no Prado for these ones... Can this election just come to pass so we can focus on other things. |
Democracy should be all about dialogue but in this clime that sort of hard work is reprehensible to autocrats. If only the rule of law worked. But we ourselves the citizens undermine it by lack of advocacy around cohesive values. |
Looking at his spindly leg and the size of that thing, it will have no problem crushing him. Lucky he got it first. |
Josywhyte:I just wonder what will happen to the NDC after this election. Particularly since Mr. Dickson has gone to certain lengths to ensure he retains a firm grip on things. Will the agreements persist beyond 2027 and the question of rotational politics between north and south. Will Mr. Obi for support a Kwakwanso ambition towards 2031 for instance.... If he will be given equal support he might just stay. But if this is all a short term 2027 project then I cannot see how it will not be affecting the present. Meaning perhaps their minds not their hearts are into it. Just speculating. |
All these are good for broadening democracy in Nigeria (though some will argue that no sooner than elections are over whatever is planted is uprooted). But if these are for election winning purposes only a coalition stands any chance of wrestling power from the ruling party. |
So funny. Perhaps they really want the cops to run a check on the back of his head to see whether he has one of those Nvidia chips planted. |
Look fellows. You simply cannot separate corporate existence from the environment it operates in. Don't corporations exist to serve PEOPLE. Isn't the ocean there to serve the fish. Can the dish prisoner in a toxic ocean...? I will always say this.. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE A WELL RUN ECONOMY. No substitute. And that is why in developed countries the economy is the most contested airspace. Citizens fight tooth and nail for it. See France, see the US, see the UK. Above all the political sentiment ever imagined by man, the condition of the economy trumps all (no pun intended). Ran into a radio program yesterday while on the road about the Dangote IPO and all the lovely idealism of future prosperity and whatever and I thought to myself of my friend who bought shares some two decades ago that are now worth less than 30 percent of what they were in real terms, today. Why, the way the economy has been run over that period. And the fact that Nigerians ran it aground by not superintending over it. So what is he guarantee that your 525 today will not be worth 125 in another twenty years from now if you are not a share trader to manipulate yourself head above water. So I do not blame those that depend on the prosperity of the people they serve for folding up. They either had a good fish in a toxic pond or they needed a hard shelled crustacean in a totally hostile body of water to survive. Whatever the case just watch what you seek to cultivate in this country because the people will not right for it's survival. They cannot make the linkages between their political.choices with their economic experiences. They don't care whether you survive or not. |
amazingspiderma:Well we were told to stop electing grandpa's into office, but we said no, we want Prado SUV's instead, so... |
SeriouslySense:So what we are saying is....in a nutshell...for the bottom line. Will AI and robotics combine to go to the farm and cultivate food, prepare it and serve a la carte while my feet are up watching the world go by... is this where we are headed.....indeed, what could go wrong with that... ![]() |
That will also mean you will have failed in your job. I guess you didn't think about that when flying this attention seeking kite and I think you ought to be called to question and tasked to performance. If you cannot contain this outbreak mister, please just resign in good time so the country can find a 'MexiCAN'. |
TheChameleon:Patriotism and all the 'buy local' stuff in my opinion just does not work in arts and entertainment: music, movies, sports, books, journals, magazines, etc. Those things are beyond boundaries, across culture and do a better job at uniting a world than any other media. In Nigeria is football, sports not a,practical unifier that consistently works to focus the people of this country. And so it is across the world. And that is why today you can have a Burna Boy, a Nigerian heading the halftime credits for an 'American' NFL game in 'France'. If everyone stuck to what they grew up with, what their cultures were exclusively, will this ever be possible. So just be the best at what you are and enjoy what the best the world has to offer. That is how humanity works. The English have made their football league the best sporting package on television the world has ever seen so their clubs are bound to have the largest following around the world. It is just performing art... entertainment... |
seunayantokun:It is not about location. The Kane win was just a coincidence. It was hosted outside France for the first time due to a celebration of an anniversary of sorts. Are we saying that if Harry Kane didn't exist it will have been given to who....Harry Maguire... |
I think folks just just 'google' up the criteria by which winners are 'elected'. It is pretty clear how these decisions are made and being a voting system of sorts it is understandable that choices will always have a bias and should be considered subjective. Reason why I never lose any head hairs over it. |
Drove past this morning. No longer as visible as it used to be many years ago. |
All those countries have deliberate policies and programs to industrialize the production of those crops they excel in. All the way from research and development to processing and marketing. They don't excel by selling fertilizer and other inputs at the cheap and walking away, claiming success. |
A lot, lot, lot better than homicide. That is all I can say for now. Once again, in the voice of a gambling house. Men, DO NOT SPEND MORE THAN YOU ARE PREPARED TO LOSE. To go further, consult your attorney. |
Mccullum:And of course it plays into the 'Christian genocide' narrative that folks are apt to deny. Now can the government prove that this cannot happen by acting on this clear warning. The internet will replay this if it cannot. |
FSBoperator:So what is the chant about 'Enugu'. Is Kano state part of the south east. Can the forth coming state police services in Enugu say and do these things in reference to the north.... Like I said earlier. Such people and such incidents are only providing the fuel to power the division narrative. Just hope some certain people don't see this. |
Well, I guess they are working in cahoots with those seeking a break up.of the country. Is this not an open call for war. |
We4all:That is simply not a job for men, young men, period. I see them all.over the place. Our schools are just naive, highly mistaken. |
That is why in other climes the majority of school bus drivers, particularly junior grade schools are women. I guess this little wisdom is lost on Nigeria. How you can employ young men to do this kind of work or how you can put your wards in buses driven by such people in our clime of elevated insecurity beats my imagination. |
Jordan has been relatively peaceful for a very long time. So much so it is one of the 'pilgrimage' destinations in the Mid East due to historical significance. It is highly unfortunate that this picture has been hit by this outrage. So sorry for the small community's loss. Folks just living their lives and out of he blues hit by this calamity. Certainly the vile creatures that did this will come up with a compendium of historical reasons going back as far their warped minds can muster to justify their actions. But they should know this. They started it all over again. When they are called to account no one should complain. |
That is impunity in pictures and videos. Another campaign ace for the opposition. Just play the videos at your rallies.... don't need to say anything. |
How does one bring in narcotics from the US when exit inspections are rigorous. How did she escape those sniffer dogs.... ![]() |
All they will need to do is show Nigerians where they were in 2023, where they are now and where they intend to take them and they are good to go. No long narrative. Everyone can see practically what is important to their present leaders, certainly not them. |
Sleekfingers:Why, is it the red one they put dye to colour it. |
more character needed. They are building something that will enslave us. Take away our motivation to work or to be creative.
