All they will need to do is show Nigerians where they were in 2023, where they are now and where they intend to take them and they are good to go. No long narrative. Everyone can see practically what is important to their present leaders, certainly not them. |
Sleekfingers:Why, is it the red one they put dye to colour it. |
United are not in a good place. Clearly the squad is really poor, player for player. But the vicious cycle is clear. Few quality players will want to join at this point so they won't force a transfer to United on normal.terms. Extraordinary terms such as huge transfer fees, salaries and perks may attract the odd pirate or two but where will United get the cash since they are not doing well. The 3rd place got vital champions league cash but in sacking a manager a good chunk of that will go down the drain. The only option is academy prospects and quality loans but will.these restore the club.... unlikely. United is in a bad place now. There are no easy fixes and the must persevere with Carrick and these players, find out what works and go for it. If needed they should bring in a seriously experienced gaffer preferably from Europe to work secretly behind the scenes with Carrick to raise his technical and tactical competency. |
Bye bye Carrick... How you managed to flunk the decent performance of late last season is a mystery only fit for a University Research Faculty. Just unbelievable. |
Bruno completely jilted. Hope he doesn't know where Carrick lives.... ![]() |
'We want Glazer out, we want Glazer out...!!!' The Stratford End making clear they want their club back. |
Game, set and match....3-0 |
Chai...2 nil... |
Heaven on earth. Going down two footed is a yellow. Goal Bournemouth. |
Wonder what United saw in Tielemans.. |
Not only politicians hate criticism, even gaffers. Bruno benched. |
Mr. President indeed knows (perhaps his cook has informed him) that there is hunger outside government circles. His response is to buck pass instead of rolling out programs to get enterprise firing again to create the jobs, boost private sector revenues and reduce the cost of living. No, their business is only roads, their governance ends at bridges and their achievements are airports. The health of the economy is not their business. Go and find your fuel and energy by yourselves. Na only taxes we get find. |
Largest 'number of'... |
ojuu4u:Life is full of lessons. Many worked examples before his. Many more unfortunately after him. Those who will live will have learned. |
The penalty for fraud is a jail sentence. The penalty for murder is a death sentence. That is the law in Nigeria and it is so because the nation has decided fraud is of a far less consequence simply because restitution IS POSSIBLE. So, Mr. Poster. He didn't kill her because of material things that can be recovered including with interest and even adjusted for inflation. He knows that. He killed her out of passion for a lost relationship. So the narrative is null. The actions are unacceptable and the consequences must be severe enough to cause people, men who are in similar positions to think about a civil exit strategy from such. If you want your relationship.to be transactional, handle it the same way you do a business or contractual relationship then the law will take its course against the breacher. But when you take the law into your hands I cannot see any excuse for that. PS, for men. When you have decided on your own to 'invest' in the hope of a passionate return, As soon as you get to a point where as gambling houses will say, 'donot spend more than you can AFFORD to lose', make it formal. The formality is not just to protect you. It is also to send a signal to your partner about your seriousness which will reveal whether your partner is on the same page as you. If the person intends to cut and run, it is at that point you will know. |
lamentor78:But the 'abuse' of Presidents is not new, even on this forum. It came to the fore in the last PDP government,. continued through the Buhari government...so what is so special about this government to make them immune from abuse. It will continue long into the future and forever because that is part of democracy. It happens everywhere in the world by the generality of the population particularly when things are not going on well in society. You guys often say the President doesn't care or mind the jibes. How come you are even more affected than the target of the tirade. Grow up. |
Did he actually say that....this is bad, really bad from a President....things are truly degenerating.... |
Perhaps Chelsea should make a mad rush for Fabregas before United or some Spanish club snatches him up, Alonso till now has not shown what his philosophy is. I can barely see any coaching in this Chelsea team....but time will tell. |
DEROX:France is the protest capital of the world. The first European country to get rid of feudalism if I am not mistaken. Cut off the heads of their kings and declared a Republic. It is in their DNA not to take bull from their leaders. |
If a novice came about this game he will not know which team is at home and which is visiting. Chelsea has to improve. The jury is still out on Alonso. Without midweek matches they have extraordinary opportunities to train and rest properly but here they look heavy and sluggish, second to every ball.in the midfield. |
When they talk about achievements all they present are roads, bridges, airports. The problem I have is, when have these things been the basis of success, of achievements, When has there ever been a time when roads and bridges have not been built. We say that military regimes have been the worst. But most legacy projects, infrastructure was built under the military. Can we then say they were successful because of those. When you look at the metrics of development in most countries I know it is not the number of airports or roads but metrics that relate to finances, economics and people. GDP, GNP, PPP. Education, health, etc. And the data by which governments rise and fall all relate to the wellbeing of the people. Inflation, jobs, enterprises, taxation etc on the national level and issues like security at the local level. Infrastructure comes a long way down the line. So I really don't know where this craze about politicians peddling infrastructure as development worthy reasons to continue in office particularly when it comes at the expense of a crumbling standards of living, record levels of migration and crippling number of deaths due to insecurity. It doesn't make sense. Roads don't vote, neither do airports build economies, people do and attention to them is first and centre of all government policy and programs the world over. |
Rayjay45:His man management cost the title two seasons ago....too many injuries. |
thatigboman:Yeah, should be rested. Has no replacement in that squad. That knock was a close call. He is the only one player who's absence can impact the team. |
This is a not a good situation for Gabriel. But he will not have made that kind of block if Arsenal was two or three goals ahead. They need to score more or this match will be in a peril late on. This is the Premiership. This is Everton. Arteta needs to ring the changes now and close out the match. |
Hope this doesn't turn ugly and lead someone to do something nasty, something they will eternally regret. People should embrace peace, learn to share, shun greed and lust for riches and power. Once more, polygamy is always the kind of tightrope that the New Testament in it's wisdom has seen and says explicitly....avoid it. |
omooba969:Well there is nothing that is absolute in sports and an unbeaten run in a season is exceptionally hard. Not what I thought about when saying that, but City remain an imperious team and look good to drop the least number of points if you may. |
Quite a boring match but one the Gunners should use to pump up their foreign reserves in case the last day starts at a tie. |
Should have played Zubimendi and rested Rice. They are burning him out again this season like the bottom of a pot of party jollof.... don't say Rice... ![]() |
Villa takes all three points. |
Guehi is struggling,...should be moved or dropped. Jackson has his number now. |
Nicolas 'the herdsman' Jackson is giving City a cheeky 'pollice verso'... wonders shall never end... ![]() |
If only you stand to advocate for a 'well run economy' that puts PEOPLE at the centre of development, your business will become their business. Because the only thing prospering today outside government are government contractors and I don't think they are in sufficient numbers to watch your movie onto profit. You see, my dear man. When an economy tanks....it takes everyone down with it one way or the other. |
