Sports › Naby Keita, Ashley Young Tests Positive For COVID-19 by References(op): 9:03am On Oct 12, 2020
LIVERPOOL midfielder Naby Keita has become the FOURTH player from the Premier League champions' squad to test positive for Covid-19.

According to journalist Usher Komugisha, the Guinea international returned a positive test result during the international break.

New signing Thiago, Senegal winger Sadio Mane and Swiss star Xherdan Shaqiri are the other three of Jurgen Klopp's players to contract the virus.

Keita is set to miss Saturday's Merseyside derby against league leaders Everton as the 25-year-old undergoes the mandatory self-isolation period.

Thiago missed the games against Arsenal and Aston Villa after testing positive at the end of September.

Mane also picked up the virus in the same week and was forced to sit out the shock 7-2 drubbing by Villa.

The 28-year-old exhibited 'minor symptoms' and was forced into self-isolation per the government's official guidelines.

The Swiss FA reported Shaqiri had returned a positive test last week.

But a subsequent negative result saw him removed from quarantine.

And the powerful forward made his comeback for his country by coming off the bench in the 1-0 defeat to Spain on Saturday night.

The 29-year-old looked set for a move away from Anfield but no offers came in before the transfer window slammed shut on October 5.

He remained a Red and was instead named in Klopp's 25-man Champions League squad.

Mr Reference is assigned most likely by Seun to post COVID-19 updates. COVID-19 is an agenda..... posting these stats is part of it... a directive to most countries......money is paid for the postings ... What they will never do is attach genuine names to numbers....2 deaths in Lagos.... Mr X and Mrs Y who live at so and so address. They do that ... we will know Mr X died of heart attack and Mrs Y fell down the stairs and broke her neck.... neither died of COVID-19. IMO the intent of the postings is to control fear. The end game of COVID-19 is to have everyone vaccinated.... schools and everything else will be shut down until everything is in place to have everyone vaccinated. Until then.... we will continue to be hearing dates of when sectors are going to return to normal... as in schools will be reopened on Oct 21... but on Oct 19 the numbers will begin to spike.... and this will cause the date to be pushed back to stop the spread... then the numbers will drop again until just before the date for another sector to return to normalcy.
Did Seun tell you this?

Alexaonfleek, God bless I appreciate.

From the images of 7th & 8th Oct posted by bakbravo;
2gbasky22 sameks08 bakbravo...I really appreciate your spotting the few errors.

It is a big mistake from the ncdc and is an issue of graphics.
I will correct that of October 8......
FCT should be where Rivers was placed, i.e. at number (2) spot
Rivers should be where Ogun was placed, i.e. at number (5) spot
Ogun should be where Kano was placed, i.e. at number (8 spot
Kano should be where Plateau was placed, i.e. at No (10) spot
Plateau should be where FCT was placed, i.e. at number (3) spot.

Thanks again guys.....

Sports › Liverpool's Thiago Alcantara Tests Positive For COVID-19 by References(op): 7:24pm On Sep 29, 2020
Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently self-isolating according to the necessary guidelines.

The 29-year-old, who missed Monday’s match against Arsenal, has exhibited minor symptoms of the virus but is in good health and is getting better.

The club has, and will continue to follow, all protocols relating to COVID-19 and Thiago will remain in self-isolation for the required period of time.

LFC first-team doctor, Dr Jim Moxon, said: “It is the choice of each individual whether they reveal publicly the outcome of a COVID-19 test.

“We have followed all the protocols to the letter and Thiago is OK. He will be self-isolating now as per the guidelines and hopefully he’ll be back with us soon.”

Sports › COVID-19: 9 Kwara United Players Test Positive by References(op): 8:21pm On Sep 25, 2020
No less than nine Kwara United players have returned positive results for the coronavirus following tests that were conducted as part of the stipulated guidelines ahead of the Nigeria Premier Football League resumption.

The club in compliance with the regulation of the League Management Company (LMC) had all their members take the test on September 17. It was gathered that the Afonja Warriors mandated all players to take the tests as they return to training in Ilorin.

The nine positive players have been taken to the Sobi Isolation Centre in Ilorin.

All clubs have been ordered by the LMC to perform COVID-19 test for players and officials in line with the protocols and guidelines from the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Since the Federal Government announced the return of sports behind closed doors last month, football activities is yet to resume. Meanwhile, with the gradual flattening of the coronavirus pandemic curve in Nigeria, the federal government has stated that it is yet to lift ban on contact sports including football.

Despite the gradual easing of the lockdown, the Nigeria Professional Football League 2020/21 season resumption is still uncertain as government say go-ahead has not been ordered.

Sani Aliyu, the National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, in an interactive session with newsmen in Abuja on Thursday, September 10, noted that the PTF had only removed restrictions on non-contact sports. “On the issue, I’m a football fan, but sadly, we have not allowed contact sports at the moment. We have only allowed non-contact sports, and so, football is not included.

Health › Vietnam Police Bust Ring Selling 'recycled Condoms' by References(op):
Police in Vietnam have confiscated an estimated 345,000 used condoms which had been cleaned and resold as new, state media reported.

Footage broadcast by state-owned Vietnam Television (VTV) this week showed dozens of large bags containing the used contraceptives scattered across the floor of a warehouse in the southern province of Binh Duong.

Police said the bags weighed over 360 kilograms (794 lbs), equivalent to 345,000 condoms, according to VTV.

The owner of the warehouse said they had received a "monthly input of used condoms from an unknown person," state newspaper Tuoi Tre reported.

A woman detained during the bust told police that the used prophylactics were first boiled in water then dried and reshaped on a wooden phallus before being repackaged and resold.

VTV said it was not clear how many of the recycled condoms had already been sold. The detained woman said she had received $0.17 for every kilogramme of recycled condoms she produced.

Neither she nor the owner of the warehouse were available for comment.
