JOemmy:Trees and plants are alive and may even have a form of consciousness. Materialist western education has blinded most Africans to the deeper realities of existence known to their forbears. Deadened their perception of non-materialist phenomena. |
AbuMaryam1:Terrorist murderer you. |
Kingosytex:I disagree. |
Osimhen ran Ronaldo out of Italy. CR won't admit it though. ![]() |
Super Eagles Hitman Victor Osimhen Voted Serie A Player of the Month for September by the Italian Footballers’ Association The Nigeria international has been in fantastic form for the Partenopei this season following the arrival of manager Luciano Spalleti. Osimhen scored seven goals in six appearances for Napoli in September. https://icdn.football-espana.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Victor-Osimhen.jpg Napoli also won all their four league games in September. Manager Spalleti was also named Serie A Coach of the Month. https://www.completesports.com/osimhen-voted-serie-a-player-of-the-month/ |
Bewiseedet:Yeah... Like in Sierra Leone and Togo. You DO know that THAT will be the level of your new small countries? Possibly lower since SL and Togo have been around for longer. Your FIFA rankings would be off the charts. Like No 250 onwards. Imagine ranking below Malawi and Burundi. Choi.. ![]() |
helinues:Just like Nollywood, the Super Eagles have taken Nigeria's name far, bro. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwJTUbCJlY8 National break up will also lead to the end of Nollywood, and Nigerian dominance in music. No more Naija international stars. If you like, you can sing like an angel and act like Tom Cruise. Once they see you're from one unknown kwe-kwe country like Oduduwa or Biafra, na O.Y.O. be dat. No commercial value. |
I've been wondering about the possible demise of our beloved Super Eagles. What replaces them in our sentiments in the event of national break up? For some reason 'Oduduwa Eagles', 'Biafran Devils', and 'Arewa Tigers' just don't ring right in the ear. Will those new teams make sense? I think they'll become the new whipping boys of Africa. Like Sierra Leone and co. Tragic. |
mybiz234:NOTHING GOOD ABOUT GIVING STUDENTS STIPEND? YOUR HEAD CORRECT SO? |
inderhappy:DON'T MIND THE HYPOCRITES. YOU HATE NIGERIA YET YOU ARE ALL OVER NIGERIA IN YOUR MILLIONS, FAR MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE, AND REFUSE TO GO HOME TO YOUR PRECIOUS BIAFRA. IDIOTS. |
Gandollaar:Animal. Could you utter these words in a 'Biafra' led by IPOB and President Kanu? Would they not kill you immediately? Nigeria is a free, democratic society. Nigeria is 10,000 times better than your primitive, backward Banana republic dotcom dictatorship led by high school dropout thugs. |
WeAREallPERV:DON'T JUST CLOSE THEIR SHOPS. DRIVE THEM OUT AND SEND THEM BACK TO ABA AND UMUAHIA AND ONITSHA. LET THEM FORM THEIR BIAFRA THERE. YOU WANT BIAFRA, SO WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THE NORTH?? IDIOTS. |
Bodmum:IT IS HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSE, YOU BUSHMAN |
WeAREallPERV:But IPOB does not believe in Soyinka's ideas. IPOB wants to seize Niger Delta Oil territory, not for the nation to decentralise, which would mean the Niger Delta controlling their own resources. If we decentralised the way Soyinka is saying, the Igbo states would become IMPOVERISHED as there'll be no more monthly allocation from Abuja. |
anorexicmuster:Nice post but wrong conclusion. It is REALLY EASY sitting in some comfy place and saying ''oh just cut off the supply of oil money to the states and it will force them to be self reliant''. LIFE DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY. You are not dealing with some petulant child in high school. Denying him money so he can fend for himself. You are dealing with populations of hundreds of millions of people, including the vulnerable - women, children and babies. The disabled. Do you know what a sudden withdrawal of oil income will do for infant mortality rate? For maternal mortality rate? For income per capita in states? For malnutrition statistics? For Life Expectancy? For school attendance rates? How will you pay teachers and nurses and civil servants? I mean, we would be a centre of mass starvation and a recipient of international emergency relief aid for many years to come, like Ethiopia in the 80s, while the Niger Delta, awash with billions of dollars, would be becoming the new 'Dubai'. I mean, it would be completely absurd and unjustifiable. You have to be smarter than this. Resource control by states is a good idea in theory. But it takes YEARS of investment to develop mineral deposits to extractable commercial quantity. To harness those resources takes BIG MONEY to do. Where will the states find the money? There are so many things to consider when proposing this resource control by states issue. It's not a simple issue to confront, because human lives are at stake. |
DubaiLandLord2:The Romans did not burn down your house or your source of income for not ''doing like'' them. That you have 109 likes for your asinine comment really shows the level of moral depravity among you IPOB supporters. Do you imbecil.es know what freedom of choice and freedom of assembly and freedom of speech even MEAN? Bloody, ignorant animals. You absolutely deserve the banana republic DOT you wish to get, and I personally can't wait to be rid of you. Just don't dare touch the Niger Delta territory or it will be the last thing you ever did. |
Eastlink:Now THAT would be one hell of a craftily executed conundrum. ![]() These days nothing is inconceivable, as far as man's propensity for the devious. |
amuwo1980:Okoro biroko, go and open your spare parts shop in the Aboki land that your people would die of hunger if they weren't there in their millions like they are today. You hate north, yet go to north, everywhere Igbos. You hate Yorubas, yet go to Lagos, everywhere Igbos. GET THE FCK OUTTA HERE WITH YOUR BLASTED GAMES. Aboki this Aboki that. 90% of the food you consume, from meat to vegetables, comes from ABOKIS. From the north. So they are giving you jobs, and supplying you food. Without Aboki, you will fcking die, millions of you IGBOS, so S.T.FckUP, YA HEAR? |
Idiko1:Nobody created five states to 'limit' any ethnic group. Nobody attached an ethnicity to any state. If Benue state and Rivers are Igbo majority states, there will be no argument. They would simply be identified as the 6th, 7th Igbo states etc. They're not because they are not Igbo, and you cannot go claiming what is not yours out of greed for natural resources and think everyone will be too intimidated by your narcissistic bullcrap to call you out on your fcking bullshiit. |
FallenShitHole:The thing about natural gas is that it takes many many years, and billions and billions of dollars to develop the infrastructure that will make your gas competitive on the international market. That is why so many countries have huge gas reserves, but can't do much with them. That is why Kanu wants the OIL deposits to the south-south. They can fund the gas infrastructure development. Without the oil money, no hope. Nigeria and Morocco have recently partnered to build a 30 billion dollar gas pipeline running from Nigeria to Morocco and onwards to Spain, to bring gas to Europe at cheap prices that will make Nigerian gas competitive in price. That project on competition will be a game changer and will effectively set Nigeria up as a major gas exporter, bringing in an extra 20 to 40 billion dollars a year. |
TheSupleemLeada:If Biafra (as Kanu envisages it) is achieved, Igbos will be the majority, and whatever Asari Dokubo says or does will be irrelevant. Secondly, I don't think any state will starve to death if oil producing states keep what they are producing......there are lots of countries in the world that don't produce crude oil and their population aren't starving. That is because they have other income generating activities that have been in place for decades or more. Nigerian states do NOT have that, so a sudden withdrawal of monthly allocation from Abuja WILL LEAD TO MASS STARVATION AND ECONOMIC COLLAPSE of every state that currently receives that allocation, apart from (probably) Lagos state. Am Yoruba but I support that all regions keep what they're producing, it will force leaders of lagging states to innovate and find ways to generate income for their states. That is a terribly dumb idea. You cannot just callously withdraw income from millions of people and say ''go find your own way to make money''. People will STARVE. What part of that does your head not grasp? Or you think it is ok for millions of children to starve to death? Any move towards greater independence of the states MUST be a gradual one which does NOT remove income from them, but rather helps them to BUILD their income. WHEN they have gotten to a point where they are now self-reliant, THEN you can impose measures whereby each state owns its own resource base exclusively. |
UCyril:That is not what Kanu said. ''UMUAHIA — THE leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Wednesday, disclosed that the Nigerian Government offered him Biafra Republic while in Prison with only the five South East States as the components parts but he rejected it. According to him, he rejected because that did not constitute the complete Biafra, saying that he told them that he wanted a Biafra with Rivers and Benue States inclusive.'' https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/07/rejected-biafra-5-igbo-states-nnamdi-kanu/ What is his greedy head looking for in Benue State if not money and riches? ''Benue State is blessed with abundant mineral resources. These resources are distributed in the Local Government Areas of the state. Of these mineral resources, only Limestone at Tse-Kucha near Gboko and Kaolinite at Otukpo are being commercially exploited. Other mineral deposits include Baryte, Gypsum, Feldspar, Wolframite, Kaolinite, mineral salts and Gemstone etc. Natural resources Benue State is the nation's acclaimed food basket because of its rich agricultural produce which include Yam, Rice, Beans, Cassava, Sweet-potato, Maize, Soybean, Sorghum, Millet, Sesame, cocoyam etc. The state accounts for over 70% of Nigeria's Soybean production. Agriculture is the mainstay of the economy, engaging over 75% of the state farming population. The State also boasts of one of the longest stretches of river systems in the country with great potential for a viable fishing industry, dry season farming through irrigation and for an inland water highway.'' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benue_State |
TheSupleemLeada:What really gets me is the underlying wickedness of the entire Biafra agitation. If these guys actually get what they want, tens of millions of Nigerians, including children, will literally starve to death. Why is this never discussed? The nation relies on oil receipts for over 75% of its foreign exchange earnings. So if Kanu and IPOB now gain control of those oil fields, what becomes of the other 30 states that have depended on monthly allocations from Abuja to run their states? Even if you say, let them exploit their natural resources, well, it takes YEARS of investment to actually develop any natural resource to commercially exploitable quantities, especially to the point of replacing oil income. So, what will happen in between those years? 160 million Nigerians should starve? What is it exactly that IPOB are saying? These people are inhuman. |
chigator2:Why did Kanu reject the 5 Igbo states as Biafra? What was his long throat doing looking at the Niger Delta, which produces 90% of Nigeria's crude oil? Don't dodge the question or try to skirt around it. ANSWER IT. |
Arda1000:I can't, because your greedy intent, which is to corner Nigeria's oil and gas resources under the guise of 'Igbo self-determination', never changes. The personnel might change, eg Ojukwu to Kanu etc, but the intent - to acquire the oil and gas fields of the Niger Delta for the Igbo elite, no matter how many of your dear Igbo masses are killed, remains the same. |
Africa’s emerging economies to take the lead in consumer market growth ''Africa’s emerging economies present exciting opportunities to global businesses for expansion in retail and distribution. Changing demographics and improving business environments across the continent will be just two of the factors contributing to rising household consumption, which is predicted to reach $2.5 trillion by 2030. Seven countries—Nigeria, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Tanzania, Kenya, and South Africa—will soon hold half of the continent’s population, and 43 percent of Africans across the continent will belong to the middle or upper classes. The rising income levels among all socioeconomic groups and increasing demand for goods and services should encourage businesses to explore introducing their products to the continent. Lucrative opportunities throughout Africa exist for investment, production, and delivery.'' https://www.brookings.edu/blog/africa-in-focus/2019/04/03/africas-emerging-economies-to-take-the-lead-in-consumer-market-growth/ |
The Rise and Rise of Africa ''Analysts say the rate of return on foreign investment in Africa is higher than in any other developing region. Over the last decade, six of the world’s 10 fastest-growing countries were African. In eight of the last 10 years, Africa’s lion states have grown faster than the Asian tigers. The fastest-growing economy in the world in 2011 (at 13%) was Ghana. As a result, Africa now has the fastest-growing middle class in the world. Some 313 million people, 34% of Africa’s population, spend USD 2.20 a day, a 100% rise in less than 20 years, according to the African Development Bank. The bank’s definition of middle class in Africa is people who spend the equivalent of USD 2 to USD 20 a day — an assessment based on the cost of living for Africa’s near one billion people. It is acknowledged that many living on USD 2 to USD 4 a day could easily slip back into poverty. But even when you take these people out of the equation, the bank puts the stable middle class at 123 million, 13% of the population. By 2060, says the bank, the number of middle-class Africans will grow to 1.1 billion (42% of the predicted population). It is, as Soros points out, the world's fastest-growing middle class. By 2060, Africans living below the poverty line will be in the minority (33%). The bank describes the trajectory as 'unstoppable'. As an indicator of recent trends, The Economist magazine, which in 2000 ran a cover story headlined 'The hopeless continent' recently U-turned with an article headed 'The hopeful continent'. mightyhaze:You are an ignorant cretin with no aptitude for historical analysis and a huge deal of racial inferiority complex. Throwing around racist words like 'monkey' simply shows you are a miseducated coon and a sellout Uncle Tom. A miseducated, disgrace of a black man programmed to hate himself and his race, and worship others. Here is a book I recommend for you. It was written for blacks like you steeped in self-hate: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/8dUAAOSwkhlhJhT9/s-l500.jpg Now get this: There is nothing like permanence in history. History and the dominance of the races, occurs in cycles. No race can, or will ever be permanently 'on top', for the simple reason of human fallibility. The lesson of history is that the dominance of groups or nations is a turn by turn affair. Africans were pioneers in humanity's development for literally thousands of years. The Europeans have barely been dominant for 500 years, and they're already being replaced by Asia, as their economies slow and their populations decline (hence their openness to 'immigrants'). Africa's turn to rise again is just a matter of time. It's not a question of If. It's a question of When. There are clear signs of a renaissance. She has the fastest growing middle class of any continent on Earth. 6 of the world's 10 fastest growing economies are in Africa. The continent is already being touted as ''the new China''. Africa is the future. |

Sicilyjoe:Why can't you produce matches in your backyard and sell? Are you too dumb and thick to produce matches? Or you expect Buhari to build match-making factories for you? Who exactly are you expecting to produce those matches if you won't do it? Don't use your laziness to smear the rest of us please. Nigerians are manufacturing all sorts of things from motor vehicles to naval vessels, to paint, chemicals, and computer tablets. If YOU see a demand for matches, MEET the demand instead of displaying racial inferiority complex. |
OfficialAPCNig:Stop lying. No source said ''perhaps''. Here is the direct quote: ''The Guinness Book of Records (1974 edition) described the walls of Benin City and its surrounding kingdom as the world’s largest earthworks carried out prior to the mechanical era. According to estimates by the New Scientist’s Fred Pearce, Benin City’s walls were at one point “four times longer than the Great Wall of China, and consumed a hundred times more material than the Great Pyramid of Cheops” [in Egypt]. Where did you see ''perhaps''? The 16,000 km wall is what is visible TODAY, but the studies and research work conducted show they were much much more extensive than that in the past, thus far surpassing the wall of China in length. That is the point being made, which you probably understand, but your slave complex to worship everything non-African while diminishing your own history is pre-programmed into you and far too many others, rather disgracefully. |
Let's stop deceiving ourselves. IPOB does not want an Igbo nation, and doesn't give a toss about the Igbo people. What IPOB wants is the Niger Delta Oil and Gas resources of Nigeria. Their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, by his own admission WAS OFFERED THE 5 IGBO STATES IN 2017 TO TAKE AS 'BIAFRA' AND HE REFUSED, SAYING HE WANTS THE NIGER DELTA REGION WHERE NIGERIA'S OIL AND GAS FIELDS SIT. IF HE HAD TAKEN THE 5 IGBO STATES, YOU SEPARATISTS WOULD ALL BE IN YOUR BIAFRA BY NOW. BUT IPOB's REAL AIM IS TO ANNEX THE NIGER DELTA SO THAT THEY CAN OWN ALL THE NATION'S OIL AND GAS. NIGERIA OF COURSE SAYS A BIG FAT NO. Agreeing to it would be suicide for the oil-rich African giant. Then the IPOB supporters play the game of saying 'Nigerians don't want Igbos to leave'. But Nigeria has NEVER had a problem with Igbos seceding. The trouble is they always want to secede with Nigeria's oil and gas resources, not by their own and with their own states alone. That is where the problem lies. THEY WANT TO LEAVE WITH THE FAMILY GOLD, CARING NOT IF OTHER NIGERIANS, INCLUDING MILLIONS OF CHILDREN STARVE AND PERISH AS A RESULT. SELFISH, GREEDY NARCISSISTS WHO WILL NEVER TELL YOU THEIR REAL AGENDA, because it is so ugly, even to them. I REPEAT: Kanu was offered the 5 Igbo states to take with him as his Biafra and he REFUSED. The day Kanu rejected that offer was the day Igbo nationhood was sacrificed on a barrel of crude oil. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/07/rejected-biafra-5-igbo-states-nnamdi-kanu/ |
