gbadexy:

Good evening sir,
This is capillary action of ground water on the building. The ground is dry but when it rains, the ground becomes soaked and the water moves upward through the building.
Best solution is to do concrete floor so that drains away from the building.

Thank you sir. Am a woman.

Do you mean concrete flooring of the compound sir?

beamNIGERIA:

Quite obvious from the attached pictures, DPM and DPC was omitted during construction process, resulting to movement of moisture (dampness). Meanwhile using of bad plaster sand (with salt content), poor workmanship in mortar joints, vegetations e.t.c. can also result to similar defects.

In solution, I advise you employ one or combinations of the below listed techniques.

1. Insert a new DPM or DPC; it's technical in approach and will cost you quite much but it's a lasting solution.

2. a. Hack off existing plaster from wall (within the affected level) and expose through about a course layer below the external ground level.

b. Apply about 3 layers of bituminous paints and cement wash at intervals

c. Plaster the affected wall with water resistant admixtures.

3. As mentioned earlier by gbadexy, carry out concrete flooring around the perimeter of the building.

Thanks
Thank you so much sir. I will show this to my hubby and we will consider one out of the solutions proffered.

You are right about the plastering sand. People complain about Abuja sand, even those that did DPM experience the same challenge. The house is in outskirt of Abuja.

God bless you.

Goodevening house.

Please your professional advice is needed. What can be done to remedy this damped wall.

Your input will be greatly appreciated.

@gbadexy and anyone that has a solution.

Note the plastering was done in January this year and DPC
was not done due to management of fund.

Thanks.

@Rejoice, does it mean that a blocked tube can be unblock during a laparotomy?...... my gynea asked me to do laparoscopy but am scared

I think so.when I had my own laparoscopy and heteroscopy diagnostic surgery a dye was passed into my tube. Although I was given general anaesthetic so I didn't really know what happened. I was discharged same day . It's a key hole surgery below your belly button. I did it January 2016 and I conceived in the same month. I couldn't really place a finger on how it worked because the doctor told me I was fine nothing was wrong with my womb or tube. I guess the dye helped to clear something I don't know. I hope this helps.

Hello sabi mamas,
Can colic start after 8 weeks. I don't understand my DS. He suddenly became cranky yesterday evening crying unusually. He's a calm boy, as long as he's fed and full, he doesn't disturb. He cooes and smiles. But all of a sudden he started crying. Wouldn't want to be lifted off the shoulder. Sounds like he's groaning/pushing from the inside. At first I thought he wanted to poo cos he poos like twice in a week. And he had bn having poop stained diaper.
Then he pooed twice but little quantity each time. The quantity of the two poops didn't add up to one bowel movement he usually does.
Could this be colic? This is my second child. My first started with signs of colic even before a week. What do i do. I'm fagged out. Help a confused mom.

Hello Cappo!

Your DS may be constipated so he finds it hard to poo freely. You can drink plenty orange or eat more vegetables to help his bowels move freely.

We are 6weeks old and my DD Colic as reduced if not stop self. Her colic too started like a week after birth.

All the best.

Gud pm and happy new Months n Sunday....
PROUDLY TEAM NOVEMBER (shaking my bumbum)

I want to ask ,this coconut water,is it the first thing DAT will be given to the baby before any food like breast milk, glucose water, and formula?
Or can it be given any time.
Abeg make una answer me..(so I go no if I go add coconut for my delivery bag sharp-sharp...)

I parked it as part of my hospital bag and instructed hubby how to go about it.

It is the first thing you will give baby before anything .My baby was given 1 teaspoon but I read somewhere it should be 3teaspoon after 30minutes you can give breast milk or whatever you want to give baby.

My baby still experience Colic I don't know if the coconut water worked or is because I started taking Soda Pepsi or coke from the day of naming (covers face) that is my weakness oh. Maybe she is reacting to Soda I take or is colic i don't know. I had to buy infacol still no much difference.

Note my first DD didn't experience much colic i didn't even give her coconut water or any drug for colic.

For my DD, her cord dropped on day 4 and there was nothing like the said bleeding.
For my DS now, his cord dropped in the early hours of day 4 as well. At three weeks i noticed dried blood on the inside of his body suit and crusted blood on the navel. I was scared but all the same took the flight to Google.
It's said to be Normal unless the blood is dripping.
What to do
Massage slightly with warm water at bath and clean with spirit (do not do this frequently so the spirit doesn't irritate the skin)
Avoid tight clothings around the area.
Make sure the diaper tips does poke the navel so do not place it high up.
No balm pleeeeaase. She will be fine.
The bleeding never occurred after that day though. Take care dear

I didnt experience the dry blood on my first DD too and her cord fell on day 12.

It is exactly how you described it. I also searched Google but I need first hand information on it from mamas here. Maybe it persisted because I normally lay her on her stomach alot to reduce colic and she rubs her tummy against the bed when she wriggles. I do back her too hope that is OK?

No serious bleeding just the dry crusty blood.

I still use hot water, lantern, spirit. I will stop the mentholated balm then.

Thanks Cappo.

I hope you still clean the navel at intervals.
Are you Yoruba? We usually use dry heat to heal the navel in my tribe.

Yes I still clean. Am not Yoruba, my hubby is,but I sabi Yoruba culture more than Yoruba people self. I didn't start using the lantern on time this time like my MIL did for my first. This time is just me and my hubby that is doing Omugo ourselves plus taking care of my Hyperactive toddler so laziness didn't let me start the dry heat method on time.

Thanks ma.

4 weeks is enough for the navel to be completely heal.

Please, press with hot water after each bath and apply mentholated balm thereafter.

Thanks ma'am. Have been doing that. I even clean with spirit and I just started using the lantern stuff too last week.

Hmmmmn... The back ache and pains that comes with fibroid degeneration is killing. I couldnt sleep on Thursday night and yesterday. How did u manage urs mama? I'm tired of taking PCM.

Sorry mama. It is well with you and baby.

I only had two episodes of that pain. I couldn't walk self. I took lot of water and pcm.

A friend that couldn't manage her own with pcm went to the hospital and was given a pain relief injection and she felt better.

The phase shall soon pass.

Take care of you and baby.

please house I've been having waist pain since yesterday morning and it's just my right side it goes and comes back often. it was difficult for me to sleep throughout the night. it's like a stabbing pain. baby is kicking well but I can't stand for long due to the aches. have used pcm not working have anyone experienced this cos I didn't experience this at all in my first pregnancy. please don't read and passby I'm not enjoying myself

Sorry mama. Drink plenty of water and rest well. You can see your Doctor if it persists.

When I had the pain in my first pregnancy it was caused by Fibroid degeneration. Yours might be round ligament pain.

[quote author=joycluv post=72613065] Getting pregnant six months after a ciserian section delivery, how safe is it? Note(d baby was a still birth) [/quoti

I believe you are safe but work with your doctor closely. Your best bet will be another CS delivery but nothing is impossible with God.

I have a friend that got pregnant seven month after CS she delivered the baby with CS again.

I pray for a smooth pregnancy for you and your baby will come to stay this time.

Can you contact your doctor? It depends on the kind of stitches you had. If not dissolvable, the stitches are typically removed after 2 weeks then you can bathe. If dissolvable then it's different (I didn't go this route so I don't know). You really need to know what type of stitches you got because they may need to be removed and not caring for it properly may be risky

All the best

It's dissolvable. The stitches will fall of on its on.

Thanks ma'am.
