This is heartbreaking. My thoughts are with the victims and their families. I hope the government takes swift action to rescue them and bring the perpetrators to justice. |
That's a beautiful drawing! It's great to see young talent being recognized and encouraged. |
Firebox123:I use a voltage regulator; I have now disconnected it. This is very, very annoying. |

Image 1, the hisense was my first TV, was purchased brand new. Last year, I came back from the office, turned it on and the base of the screen had that line. No Crack, no physical hit, nothing. Earlier this year I got a used Toshiba and I've been using it for months now. Some minutes ago, same thing happened. What could be causing this ![]()

Good morning everyone. My car is burning oil. Although it's been five months since my last oil change, I used a whole 5L with an additional 1L after two months, but as of today, the oil level has dropped again. The previous owner abused it by using Total oil without knowing the correct type or weight. I started using 5W-20 after I got the car. I've also been experiencing oil leaks from the top valve cover. I bought a new seal and tried multiple times to stop the leak, but it still leaks a bit when the engine is at operating temperature. What can I do? It's a Honda Accord 2009 with an R20 engine. No smoking whatsoever. |
Ijaya123:Rest, I use it. No ball joint issue. Do research before typing.. |
MajorB009:Well here's your problem. Try to get another sensor to test drive and confirm if issue has been resolved, then clear code and enjoy. |
MajorB009:Try to bleed your cooling system. |
MajorB009:Your car is likely overheating. Check your cooling system for issues. It will not overheat when there is no traffic because you're in motion, your engine is working less and you get enough air coming in from your grill. Are both fans working? |
ojonugway:Parasitic drain, get a multimeter. Hook it up in a way you can read the current flowing through the circuit. You can Google this. Your meter should read an active current draw after connecting it. Disconnect your fuses one after the other, until the reading becomes zero or close to it. Whatever fuse you disconnected, the circuit attached to that fuse is the culprit. I'm not a Rewire, I use the same car but the 09, and I've dealt with parasitic drain in 2 of my cars. Pretty easy to fix. |

ruggedtimi:But he's asking about a fake iPhone 15. I'm only advising that he sews his cloth according to his material. |
marksonrick:If you cannot afford an iPhone, buy an android within that budget. No go do pass yourself. |

MmGood day, Nairalanders, and greetings to all respected elders in the house. Please help me share this on behalf of a close friend who is going through a deeply troubling situation. He’s been bottling this up for a while, and it’s really affecting him. He asked me to post it here to hear from people who might have experienced something similar or can offer wise counsel. My friend has been in a serious relationship with his girlfriend since 2022. They fell in love and by early 2023, they moved in together. According to him, she’s a wonderful woman—beautiful, curvy, light-skinned, and with a genuinely kind heart. But sometimes, that kindness is her biggest weakness. Her family has been slowly draining her emotionally and financially, and it’s now putting serious pressure on their relationship. She’s the third child in her family, works at a top bank and earns about 300k monthly. But almost half of that goes to family requests. One week it’s 100k, the next it’s 150k. If not for my friend's financial support and guidance, she wouldn't even have savings. It gets worse—she paid the rent for her elder brother (someone the same age as my friend), sponsored her two younger brothers up to HND level, bought phones for her mom, dad, and last born, and even gave her mom 400k to start a business. Despite all this, her family keeps asking for more. No pity, no limits. Her dad recently asked them to “borrow” him 400k—while knowing fully well that my friend is currently investing in a major project. It broke him. He couldn’t believe his girlfriend even entertained the request. He’s spoken to her many times, begging her to start setting boundaries. He’s told her it’s okay to say “No,” or “I don’t have.” He’s reminded her that if anything happens to her today, life will go on for her family. But she’s so used to being the one everyone leans on, she finds it hard to stop. They were even planning marriage this year, but now everything is shaky. He loves her sincerely, and she loves him too. But he’s emotionally exhausted. He’s on good terms with her parents, especially her mom, but feels it’s not his place to confront them directly. He’s at a breaking point and doesn't know how much longer he can hold on. Please, Nairalanders, what advice do you have for someone in this kind of situation? Is there a way forward without destroying the relationship? How can she draw the line without feeling guilty? And how can my friend cope, or help her better? Thanks for reading. Please share your thoughts. Update: Now he wants to be in charge of her finances. He has opened a piggyvest account with her personal details, but she wouldn't be able to make withdrawals. |
I just wanted to share a little joy from my backyard—my small garden project that’s been keeping me active when I'm not writing code. It all started when ugwu (fluted pumpkin) became way too expensive in the market. I figured: why not grow my own? I planted some seeds in sacks, some days back I was relieved to see the roots coming out. The sprout should be on their way up now!I had to raise them because we have a boerbel puppy that dug up and destroyed 3 of my seeds 2 nights ago. I also have 4 yam roots planted in sacks, I'll be adding more, filling up that sack is hard.. 😂 😂 I'm also trying ewedu in containers. The first container has sprouted already. A little compost top-up went on everything this week, including my yam plants and the first one I planted has grown over 5 feet already! Oh, and I can’t forget my goats! I got two new females to join the one I’ve had since 2020 that I just abandoned and she has given birth just once. They’re part of the family now—and their compost has been a worth addition, although I do not directly rear them, I have someone handling that. I may stop buying goat meat from the market 2 years from now. It's a small start, but watching things grow has been surprisingly fulfilling. If you’ve been thinking about starting a garden, this is your sign to try. Even a few sacks can go a long way. I've attached some photos.

Macmilla1 jceesquare Still on the issue of my erratic idling. So yesterday I got a new fuel pump, routine maintenance I noticed the filter on the old one might have been clogged. I also changed the O ring on my brake booster it was old and started to leak air. P After changing pump and drove a few kms, it started idling terribly like it's about to turn off around 500rpm or even lower, even on N same thing happens but less frequently. So I unplugged the ECT on the engine chassis and it went back to normal albeit high around 1.5RPM, it also drove very smooth and responds well BWWWAAHHHH. I'm trying to get another ECT to test with because I do not have any cold start issue, temp guage works fine, but when I was in heavy traffic yesterday evening I noticed the guage seemed to be moving constantly from the middle position, up and down slowly. You'd have to look at the guage to observe it.. I cannot drive without the ECT because it'll be running Rich. Any suggestions or ideas will be appreciated. |
Useless bank.. Mtcheew. |
Namzy:Oh wow. My bad. I've been reading the wrong guided. Thanks.. |
Namzy:Well, a STFT value of 1.2 means the engine control unit (ECU) is increasing the fuel delivery by 20% to compensate for a lean air-fuel mixture. Normal range is typically ±10% (0.90 to 1.10 thus I've a small leak. My car is still very very fuel efficient 21 litres will give me about 170 - 180kms city driving. I'm testing it for the 3rd time with fuel from a different fuel station and I can send you proof if you want. |
Jceesquare macmilla1 Hey Bosses, I may have an update about the vacuum leak issue. So I noticed that there's a continous hissing sound around my brake booster and it gets louder when I pour water on it. I think that's where the vacum leak is as I understand that the hissing should only happen when the brake is depressed. Also my STTFT reads 1.15 - 1.2 which is a lean condition. Is it advisable to change the brake booster competently? As I have no issue whatsoever with braking. Also, some weeks ago after I changed my oil pump damper because it broke and the oil pump chain, there's this metallic grinding noise it's kinda loud on a cold start and the noise reduces after I let the car warm for some minutes. These are the 2 issues I have and I want to correct them. Any advise will be appreciated. |
jceesquare:I couldn't perform the pressure test. My scanner doesn't show the value and I don't have access to that guage.. |
jceesquare:Yeah, every sensor pretty much checks out fine. I'll run the pressure test and revert back. Thanks. |
jceesquare:Here's the result sir.
|
jceesquare:I'll try to get a Bluetooth a scanner or a good scanner that can do that and revert back. My current scanner doesn't display sensor stats.. |
Macmilla:Thank you so much. I regret tagging that person. So my car does not have an IACV value; it is DBW and controlled by the ECU. The AC makes it worse, too. Maybe I should try cleaning the pump as well because, at this point, I am running out of solutions, and I have tried everything I can. Getting a manual for this European Accord is difficult asf.. |
2cribz: You don't know who you're answering sir. Please read my post well. My car shifts fine. No jerking or erratic shifting. Neither my engine or transmission has been worked on before neither is my wiring tampered with. I should go and get another transmission, just like that... |
My Bosses, I have been trying to rectify the only issue I have been trying to fix for weeks now. My car drives and shifts fine, no check engine light. When engine is hot and I got the brakes or I'm moving slowly within the neighborhood, the rpm drops and the car vibrates like it wants to turn off. What I have done.. 1. Cleaned the throttle body and even used a temporary replacement. 2. Changed plugs. 3. Changed air filter. 4. Checked for vacuum. I don't know what else to do, initially I thought it was a vacuum in the braking system that causes it when I brake but even with the handbrake while idling it happens sometimes. There are no error codes and yes my check engine light works. Make una help me, I shift into neutral at stops to manage it for now.
