lets start from the easiest.

since you are using water, i suspect the hose that connects the radiator to the reservoir tank has loose clips. try and get clips and retighten on both ends, if done and the reservior is now boiling then we can say problem dey.

I checked, it doesn't i have tightened it again though and i also cleaned the little debris on the radiator's cap.

Except your believe your temperature guage is not working correctly.

My guage works correctly. I have read some articles on quora and reddit thay says that. Like I said, maybe it is just me. My temp guage stops at the middle.

Anyway, I cleaned the EGRV connector and that error is gone.

My issue now is overheating, after that fix mentioned above in my previous post, the hose that goes into the reserve radiator tank brings out steam and you can tell from the radiator hose that the engine is overheating.

I do not have any CEL, and my thermostat and fan works like factory default.

I'm not sure my thermostat is stuck close because the lower radiator house is also warm.

My temperature gauge is normal but I know the engine is overheating or close to it or maybe it's my mind.


Ps: I bled the cooling system 2 days ago.

I own a Honda Accord 2.0L (small engine).

Initially, there was no check engine light. However, on Monday, when I started the car, I heard a very loud rattling noise. I didn’t want to risk driving it and potentially worsening the problem. My friend, who is also my mechanic, came over and drove the car to his shop. He diagnosed the issue as a broken damper inside the engine. He replaced the damper, and I also had the oil changed (I always use the recommended 5W-20 oil).

Although the rattling noise has reduced significantly, it’s still present.

After the repair, I experienced an issue where the car hesitates. I initially suspected a misfire, and the car threw code P2413. I also noticed bubbling in the coolant reservoir when I got back, possibly due to air pockets, although the temperature gauge stayed at the middle.

What could be the cause of these issues, and what solutions would you recommend? I’ve read that the EGR valve might need cleaning.

I use a 2009 accord and I have no CEL. Don't push it.

My former car had CEL because of a missing catalyst and I drove with it.

This one had an O2 sensor code when I got it, fixing it cleared it.

This is a false and absurd generalization, My car works fine and No CEL, unless on ignition.

As much as I agree that a lot of cars have their CEL ON because of the negligence of Nigerians, people like me hate to see it and always fix any issue whenever it comes on and have a strict maintainance habit.

First, check your error logs.

Oga, it's the same thing.. You can put it anywhere as long as your ignition is on.

How did you put an automatic gear car in “drive” and you were still able to push it out without starting the engine? I’m just curious.

We used to put our dad’s manual Mitsubishi car in neutral gear and then push it out without turning it on.

Turn on the ignition, not the engine and put it in neutral, you can push it that way.

I hope it is not those cars whose cooling system has been altered, if it is even the noise of the cooling fans will alert his mum. 😂

Oga rest and read well, if I wanted to manipulate I wouldn't come here to ask for help. I noticed it was not right and I did that as a temporary solution and if you had read the response before typing you would have hesitated.

Hello guys, so yesterday I got a used water dispenser from a seller on Facebook. We agreed on the price and he waybilled it down to me. I couldn't drive to his house because of the distance and you know the fuel price now.

Long story short, when I plugged it in after letting it sit for 3 hours to allow the compressor settle down, I realized that only the cold function works, pressing the heating button does nothing, initially we thought it was the voltage but this is midnight voltage is about 210, and it's still the same thing.

I dislike buying used items, Infact all of my appliances were bought brand new, and now I feel bad. Maybe I should have added the extra 45k and gotten a new one.

Your PCV looks like this and is located under your alternator.
Trace the black hose that comes from there to the intake manifold, you'd see it.

Your vehicle will not heat up to operating temperature quickly with that hole plugged. If you use a thermostat and don't want to be wasting 1 - 2 litres of fuel every morning after a cold start you better open up the hole back and plug in that pipe.

On the other hand, the reason engine oil is getting tucked into your throttle body via that hole is possibly due to a clogged PCV valve. Either clean it or change it so the issue goes away.

Hello guys. My car runs fine, no check engine light.

But sometime I ago I noticed that the car vibrates during reverse so after cleaning the throttle body it runs well now, the issue was caused by the pipe in the image below spitting small dirty oil into the air flow box, so i had to remove it and cover it with a paper temporarily, is this safe?

It's a Nigerian company but I think they are affiliated with a US company.
