Onlytruth:
Repeat:

Yoruba stole oil from the East to develop Yorubaland

When the oil finishes, they will call for secession of Yorubaland

Then, it will be their time to pay for all their crimes against the East

Every smart Easterner should bear this in mind.
Can you explain how Yoruba did that and what part of Yorubaland was underdeveloped before oil money. Remember, that Ist oil well was in 1956 and major first oil boom was in 1973. Gowon was in power by then, Awolowo had even left his government in 1971. Before oil, Ikeja Industrial Estate was in place, First radio and TV stations in A was 1959, COCOA House was completed i 1965.  University of Ife established in 1962, etc , etc,  all from cocoa and tax payers money .
Please substantiate your claim.

true talk Cyberfreak, majority of Muslims are against the actions of this guys, Muslim government in Arab worlds are daily wagging wars against them, Pakistan is killing Talibans every days, KSA flies jet fighters across the border to Yemen for the same purpose. The center for US military intelligence to fight Iraq war is located in Qatar, Back in Nigeria, are we saying those soldiers confronting the fanatics every now and the are non Muslims? Those who killed the Boko haram rioters are most likely Muslims.

The Islamic fanatics are very few and I believe jugding all Muslim with their actions is unfair.

@henry101, Let us not get confused with some academic endeavours!! Yoruba is a very deep language with so many words having same pronunciations but different meaning. You may check this link for some of them.

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-186908.0.html

Egbas means accepts, they got their name from their accommodating attitudes. They accepted almost all, rebellious cities in the interior Yorubaland found safe haven with them some are even given autonomy, eg the Owus and Ijayes.

Olukumi means my friend, it is used sarcastically to associate with adulterers referring to either man or woman friend.

Legbaa or Elegbara is another name called Esu (devil or satan) a deity in Yorubaland. Ojuelegba in Lagos has a shrine for it, it is so called Oju ibo Elegbara which metamorphosed to Ojuelegba. (Shrine of the devil)

akigbemaru:
We have to watch out for the antics of Igbo people nowadays. They are for no good! I told them many time "you don't the fingers that feed you."
These envious people want to re-write history and take away our superior culture!
They traveled to South America back and forth to convince our more than 70 million Yoruba people. These people have already established with Orisha and they want to introduce Ani or Chukwu to them. Guess what? They chased them away!
They (Igbo people) should know better that “if lies fly thousand years away, it’s just one day that the truth shall prevail,” that’s exactly what happens to Yoruba culture. Because we (Yorubas) are unaware about the great impact our religion had in New World. Now, there is increasing touring to Nigeria to Ife, since some intruders are trying to pollute our peoples’ mind over there. They come in multitude to trace their lineage. They said many Igbo people have been coming over there in the past and urged them to do DNA test; but they asked “would that change their perception about Ifa, Oshun, Oya e.t.c.?
Igbo people claimed they help Haiti and West indies to push a revolt for independence, but at the end of the day. Haiti had already established with Ogun, Shango and Obatala, while West Indies had established with Oshun and Oya. This should speak volumes about this Yoruba religion. The only religion that made it out of Africa! Check your Wikipedia if you doubt me.
We did not travel to South America to preach about our religion, they embraced it because that’s what most western world hates most (and Ifa divination module is the best gift to mankind)! It became a tool over there to equip communists and socialists to fight hegemony power of capitalists. The then Cuban president, Fidel Castro (publicly announced that his religion is Santeria—blending of catholism with Orisha). I don’t care if anybody hates, Orisha is the movement right now!
They banned it during slavery in America and even banned Bata talking drums. Before America lifted the embargo on Cuba, there were 8 million South Americans in USA practicing Santeria—blending of catholism with Orisha. Now, that there is no restriction; they envisaged that before 2030 there will be 50 million people practicing Santeria in just USA.
Abiola has left a giant step on the sand of time.
Igbo people boost of being rebellious, even they categorically stated it on their Bia-failed website, but at the end of the day, they always lose.

Just watch out on this forum, they will be the first to post anything sensitive about other tribes and be the first-ten to comment with scolded diatribes. Then, if you lashed back at them, they would come out in multitudes to jump on you.
The fact the there are Yoruba are dieties worshiped in the Americas was not a sign of any superiority or deliberate export. It was due to slave trade. There were more Yoruba slaves than most of sub Sahara tribes towards Trans Atlantic route, so they left with their religions. Jazz music has the same history. Ibo slaves were not easily cowed to accepting fate so they were not "popular" They were so stubborn that they either got killed in the slave castles or thrown overboard, so very few made it to the destination.
PoliticsRe: Herbert Macaulay by Remii(m): 6:57am On Jan 25, 2010
They called him, “Ejo n’gboro” – meaning a serpent at large in the streets, which depicts a dangerous situation.

"Ejo ngboro" though literarily mean snake or serpent in the street or in town but does not mean anything dangerous. They nicknamed him so because he seemed to be seen all over the town almost simultaneously, as a politician and surveyor, Herbert Macaulay could be seen at Ebute meta now, someone would say "I just saw him down there in Mushin" and so on. It means he is all over the town. Remember he was the first Nigerian to own a bicycle, which helped his movement too. So Ejo ngboro " implies as swift as a serpent.

CareerRe: Who Is More Promiscuous? Female Bankers Or Nurses ? by Remii(m): 8:11pm On Jan 23, 2010
Honestly I think most people respond based on hearsay, HOW MANY BANKERS or NURSES  HAVE SLEPT WITH. Can you state how more easily you got the bankers or nurses compared to others who are neither bankers or nurses?  the truth is that almost girl is promiscuous this days partly due to economic situation but largely due to greed and urge to live beyond what their families can not provide. So I think it is unfair to tag any section of the society. Same girls who did what they call "runs" while in school are the ones getting into job market so what are we talking about.

i am a Muslim and most of my friends are Christians. We live in peace and harmony till today and forever.

Most of these so-called crises are not religious. they all come out of the stupidity and naivity of some selfish individuals, and use the cloak of religion to cover it.
True talk, also the northern leaders are not sincere to Islam, they refuse to give mass literacy to their people as done even in Arab world but gave their own children best of education at expence of the populace.

If he is overweight, let him loose some weight, it does help, it could be that too much fast in the neck region obstructing his voluntary breathing path. He could also see an ENT doctor to check out his sinuses and make recommendations.

PoliticsRe: What Has Fashola Really Done? by Remii(m): 7:58pm On Jan 22, 2010
babapupa:
Don't you first have to equip him with the same tools and financial resources available to folks in the so called society where expectation is more and watch him perform before judging him? Most of the societies you're talking about are working off ready made platform built by decades of attentive governance and ever increasing financial resources. Fashola is basically starting from scratch with little resources and irresponsible federal system.
Lagos is making good cash, with 20% taxlaw, any worker making above N5m is paying  N1m to Lagos state every year. Imaging a state budgeting half a trillion when the whole country is budgetting four trillions. However, there appears to be less wastage compared to most states and federal governments expenditures.

Most women have their designated rooms but do not stay there, they keep their things there and "big" daughters stay there, in some cases. However, in some homes the easiest way to know when Mum and Dad are quarrelling is when Madam relocates to her room.

I bet Yerima or whats he called is number one in the list!! Former Zamfara state governor

He wont even bother come near an airport right now grin
even Lagos will deport him back to his home-town cheesy
naijaking1:
Why is Jubril Aminu, Ojo Maduekwe, and Farida Waziri's names not on the terrorist watch list?
America have said they are not against Islam, Americans are all over Arab world working and having fun. Contributors to this trend should address issues and see beyond religious bigotry. One thing is that Northern Nigeria leaders are very guilty of cheating their commoners in terms of undereducating them while giving their own children best of education - that is an unIslamic behavior since Islam advocated equity and justice.
