If you kiss only your wife, the odour becomes the "natural" smell of any mouth so you get used to it and kiss on. People like what they see in the absence of alternative, lol. |

ezeagu:That is cause of worry, people who did not know what actually happend and why it happened are allowing what they could not control affect what they can control it is really sad. |
SEFAGO:why should we? State your manifestos |
Oo le so wipe Ga je ede kan ni ile Ghana, tabi Gaa ni Hausa ti sin eran., lol |
'Rara dobale oni oun ko ga, |
ezeagu:that line just struck my laughing sense, lo. Most historians agree that the British were biased towards the Hausa/Fulani due to the help they got from their leaders in the form of indirect rule in ccolonial era. As a matter of fact they advised them to vie for the Prime Minister post while the Ibos got the toothless Presidency. They even advised them against seccession after the first coup when they were shouting "araba" "araba" in the North. But CAN WE PUT ALL THAT BEHIND US AND MOVE ON!!!!!!!!!!! |
Mimi kan o si, |
Oh yeah, I forgot! The British did. . . they woke Lord Lugard from his grave to lead their mutiny. Thanks for aiding my memory.
![]() |
SEFAGO:I am not here to defend what Papa Awo, did or did not do 40yrs ago. I am attracted to this trend to correcte a mindset that all Yorubas are against all Igbos. My own take is that we need to look forward to progress. Whatever Awolowo did to end the war, may be what was necessary then, he agreed to be in governmet , not given advise that would help the government would be treason. In war you do what you have to do. America dropped the only atomic bombs ever used in a war on Japanese, but today they have moved on to be best allies. So to me dwelling on history of hatred and bad memories would not help this generation. On looking beyond Awo, no doubt he was the greatest entity from Yoruba land but even in his life time he had oppositions. I mentioned Adeniran Ogunsanya above, who was a very close associate of Zik till death. |

Yi ese re si apa kan. |
WilyWily:but, do you agree with me that Yoruba did not take Igbo properties while others did? |
WilyWily:Those properties in Kaduna and Port Harcourt that were not given back are not theirs, abi,? The 20 pounds for money in banks was Federal law not Yoruba making. |
USAID = United States Agency for International Development. FIIRO, |
WilyWily:Yet, Lagos has two Igbo commissioners in choice cabinets, yet, 99% spare part dealers in Lagos are Igbos, yet, Electronic stores at Alaba are run by Igbos, most film producers are Igbo and are patroniced by Yorubas, Generator sellers at Oyingbo are Igbos. Do you remember, that after the civil war, it was only in Lagos, Yorubaland, that Ibo properties were returned to them with help of the likes of Adeniran Ogunsanya, even in Port Harcourt , that is supposed to be closer to Ibo all their houses in area called "town" were declared abandoned properties till today. We need to promote what unites us and forget all this tribalistic divisive comments. If 19 would not work with 1 there would be no 20. |

I enjoy beans porridge, cooked with yam, potatoes or banana, cut in small cubes, very delicious. The garri and beans mix is called "sokudale" because if you had it in the morning all you have to do is drinking water for the rest of the days, hunger is taken care off. Back in those days in OAU, 8 out of 10 pots on stoves in Awo Hall would beans and the remaining 2 would be beans and something like rice or yam. lol. Ife developed a breed of beans called "Ife Brown" that took less than 60 days from planting to harvest, that really came handy and helpful along with Agric eggs and FST bread. |

In some cases chika98 is right, people tend to respect those who stood up to them, but be consistent if you want to go that way. He or she would like to stamp superiority but if a balance of tyranny is apparent he would come to terms that no be only him sabi craze. If you are just testing waters, the repercussion maybe devastating. For instance America would negotiate with Russia, but if smaller country do anyhow, we all know what would happen. |
I really commend the zeal of Ustaz Olabowale and Bro Abuzola, may Allah accept their efforts as acts of ibaadah, may their types multiply among the Ummah. Amin. |
I take it that you meant good wife, one way to get a good person for marriage is to look for person from a good home, because like beget like. A girl that abused her mum because of you most likely to abuse your one day. A man from home where woman are treated like rag would not know value of one, vice versa. Having said, there is no fool proof method. You have to be good yourself. There are enough good women for number of men that deserve them. |
