posakosa:Are you insinuating that there are no good schools in Nigeria?, take am easy oo. People still dey finish from Naija University, go abroad and perform wonders at Masters level o. ![]() |
To answer your question, I would say send your kids to private school. Even with that you need to be selective and get involved in the training of your kids. Some schools pay less attention to quality of teachers in lower classes until primary 4 5 and 6, Your know the society is exam results crazy, they place so much premium on exam performance. Come to think of it, reverse is the case in nearby Ghana. I was in Ghana last August, while discussing with a student from a private university, she told me, she had to go to private uni because she was unable to get required grades to be able to secure placement in her choice of course in a government university. That used to be the case in Nigeria in the 70s/80s, those who went to private schools then, (both primary and secondary schools) were children of rich who were unable to pass entrance exams, unfortunately, the case is now only the poor attend public schools in Nigeria, especially primary and secondary. May God Save Nigeria. |

The guy must have another reason, CGPA is calculated over years and should have known she would end up in 3rd class before now. Anyway, further education with 3rd Class should not be a problem, if you got there due to early years unseriousness and you went to school like OAU where every course in included and every year carry the same weight in CPGA calculation, you may end up in 3rd class even with lots of As and B+ in upper year. In that case it may not be a yardstick for the person's ability. As a matter of fact, Wole Soyinka and Gani Fawehinmi made 3rd class in the University. Soyinka went to London to repeat his BA, the performance was so good that they gave him Prof without MA or PhD, Those who gave him 3rd class in UI did not get to where he got to today. We all know the history of the late SAM too, so it is not what has happened to you it is how you manage to use the leanring for your next step. |

Everybody dies, so no need to rejoice over anyone dying as all would die someday. She is not in present state because of the way the husband ruled or misruled the country so what is the connection. May God take care of her as applicable. Amin. |
Newspapers are still relevant but mostly for adverts of some sort, it is still required that all public procurements must be advertised in daily newspapers, change of name, obituaries, etc. For breaking news? not to people in Lagos, Abuja, PHC or other cities where there are numerous radio and TV stations but rural areas still look for news in the paper. They have other features and analytical sections too that interest some readers. As an investment option? Warren Buffet already said it is an aspect that seems to have no future so he would not put his money there. |

PDP in Anambra are part of Anambra they intend to rule Anambra, so the people are Anambrians in PDP. |
nuzo:Do not give up yet, at least not with wrong notion,. When I said educated I do not mean each person in Anambra, but they have educated and enlighten big wigs, such as Anyaokus, The Ziks, Ezekwezilis, Akunyilis, Ekuemes, Soludos and others one should then think that those people should get onboard vehicle heading for peaceful destination. Bankole, is a toddler when it come to political exprience needed in deep political situation that is in Anambra. Just like we say, it requires and home grown solution. Real will of the people to move on. Just imagine 30 people in a party want to be Governor and none was ready to step down for the other, How do you reconcile that kind of people. |
naijaking1:Go on blame everything on the Northerners, you hear. If the Southern leaders are so weak so much that could not influence anything and not responsible for anything good or bad, why not remove all of them and hire the all powerful Northerners to represent the South also. lol. |
^^^ I also agree with your view about external forces, but those forces are using the indigenes, Uba, Chris, Ngige, Soludo, et al are natives and are highly educated too, It should come to a point you tell external "sympathisers " enough is enough we need to move forward. |
