That provision is not really necessary because of pmb alone or for future presidents too? I guess we should just go presidentless and run paliamentary instead of making president ineffectual |

Our local armed forces are too primitive, poorly trained & ill equiped to pre-empt any attack on him. Just like how the Americans warned him not to go to Ogoni based on intelligence report. so you think killing the president is childs play? I pity those that will be at the scene. |

CSTR2: What are you talking about? How do you make peace with terrorists? You should be thankful for any US drone intervention. A single US missile costs millions of dollars of American tax payers money, and they sure as hell are not happy helping another country fight terrorism with their own tax money. you should also ask how US will get back their "investment" because its not free, it was never free in Iraq, Libya , or elsewhere. What is in there for Uncle Sam in the end? |

Someone should remind them that Nigeria has been selling properties under one guise or the other, no be today we begin, where were they when IBB sold Nigeria shares in Banks, and oil marketing companies? Recently, Steel Rolling mills, Nitel, PHCN etc etc have been sold, so if this new sale will get us out of recession and starvation, so be it as long as they proceeds will be managed well and the buyers will pay not funny arrangement like PHCN own where the buyers had to be given money to start after selling to them. |

Igboid: Ironsi never dissolved the regions. It was Gowon who did. And in it's place created dysfunctional non viable entities called states, with so aim of increasing North share of the Eastern region crude oil.
I don't care how many times you Yorubas will be here to propagate the lies of Ironsi killing regionalism just to defend your Northern masters, but I will always be here to debunk your lies and to put you to your place, I'd do it to infinity. Nigeria history has it that Ironsi introduced and ran unitary government. Let us not get into sentiment but history. Aguiyi Ironsi promulgated the infamous "Decree No. 34"—which abrogated the country's federal structure in exchange for a unitary one. |

Sunnymatey: Somebody need to diset that word 'restructuring' for Aboki. Gowon lesson come to mine. anyway, south truncated the regional government and started the unitary (present federal) structure we have now. Coup plotters of 1966 sacked the Regional leaders, Aguiyi ironsi took over and established Unitary govt before the counter coup that brought Gowon, the rest is history. |

Sane people are saving and concretizing their money in dollars away from nigerian banks who will force you to take naira equivalent at N200 from your Dorm account when you actually gave them dollars to keep for you. civil war ended January 1970 and Naira was introduced in 1973 |
