Why are you guys always comparing US with Nigeria, to support your evil plans data from the US will be used. Have you compared the minimum wage in US too, what is the average Nigerian purchasing power, must you tax and increase everything? This country never sees to amaze me

Please Can I still get a Tax clearance certificate or something from the Tax office to that effect. And is pension a compulsory requirement.

You cannot get a clearance certificate if your tax was not filed by your company, Pension or Tax can be used.

Hello please am new here and would like to get some information concerning PR.
I would like to apply as a Dressmaker or Tailor(393213). I have over 7 yr working experience as a Tailor in Nigeria and am 32 yrs. I have a bachelor's in another field. I work for my friend in her shop sometimes and also self employed. In a situation I don't have the regular payslips, what can I use as most payments is cash at hand and bank transfers. Can I go ahead in writing ielts. I do not have pension also. Do I need a trade certificate to submit. Do I stand a chance . Please who knows anyone that has applied for PR as a Tailor

While assessment may be possible, claiming your 7 years of experience may not be possible without providing Pension, tax or payslips.

I have similar challenge, my designation is plant operator and with chemical engineering background to masters level. Do I also have to do the plant or production engineer assessment instead of chemical engineer assessment.

Yes you can, but you should know your years of experience will start counting after your submitted highest qualification, meaning if your masters was submitted, your years will start counting after Masters. So its advisable you go with your bachelors as Masters degree does not give you extra point unless it was done in an Australian University.

But the majority of wealthy Nigerians live in Nigeria. It is actually a standard thing to do - the wealthy set of people reside in their dominant society. The purchase of second citizenship is to ease movements and offer a second option considering Nigeria's fractured state. I want to bet many wealthy Namibians don't bother buying a second citizenship. Money gives options, so wealthy people will opt for greater options.

They don’t really stay, most of them travel all the time and have homes around the world. No wealthy man is available all the time in his Nigerian house. You will not find them at their country house

@Tunlex01 and experience folks.
I have my Ielts L 6.5 R 8.0 S 7.5 and W 6.5 is it advisable to go for assessment with EA with this score? I hope to write the test to get a better score. Occupation is Geotechnical Engineer

You only need competent English i.e IELTS of 6 in each band or 50 each for PTE Academic to be assessed with EA, so your English requiremnets are satisfied. Do you have tax/pension for all employment episodes?

author=Newborn27 post=126658739]Wow!

This is deep!

I don't even know what to say or where to start from... truly you're courageous and strong.

At this point, if it comes fine, if not, fine. I'm not the one to make such plans. If I get what I want, oh.. why not but if not, men e go hard o. Like I said... In this year alone, I've had two suitors. A very responsible guy and a man but the thing with me is that I'm too picky. if I don't like you first, it will be very difficult. These two were not my spec and I won't trap myself in a loveless marriage all because of age or "time is going " , if it's not what I want, I won't do it.

Like I told you before, what tickles every one's fancy is different likewise what bothers them.
You may fancy all the bolded and I may not. What you want out of marriage is different from what I want. So it's not a one size fits all" thingy or compulsory that we all must like to do or have things the same way. That is why you will never see me envy married people or people with children because to me it's really nothing. Now, my Mom married at the age of 10 . Had all of us before 30 but died in her Early 40s. So of what use was her early marriage and child-bearing to her? Fine they use us to remember her but she as person, what did she enjoy in her life for achieving those? Just suffered to raise children that she didn't live to see even one grandchild? Abeg abeg.

Why? That's like saying I regret.. I have saidvit countless times that I've never regretted it for once . Ok let me even pause for a moment and try to remember if I ever wished I did.......... 🤔 🤔 🤔.... Ogbeni nothing like that o. Rather I've always thought that if I had married maybe by now I would have left the marriage cos e for don taya me and that's the truth. In fact.. sometimes I used to silently thank my stars that I'm not married with kids in this economy because I can't endure suffering and hardship with children. Not like Im wishing myself hardship but men in this present economy, everyone is facing it and someone like me can't take the heat with such responsibilities even when shared.
There's a friend of mine that always wish to switch places with me saying I'm enjoying because I don't have anything bothering me and I'll tell her I'm glad I don't have those bukata.

Stigmatization? LoL.. see so far e no affect my pocket, whatever anyone says in that regards does not bother me. it's when you listen or go close to people they'll stigmatize you. I don't keep companies. I'm a loner and it helps a lot to stay away from such. No be if I smile with you you come know wether I don marry or not. I feel free saying it here because no body knows me in person and it all ends here. Of course some people in the past have said some things like your twin is married you're here forming oge, but I didn't give a damn because when I look at their lives im doing far better than them and living life to the fullest. Abi What is life about? No be enjoyment? See it's all in your head o.life no hard reach like that

I love my family. They will never pressure you. My dad before he died would be like, if you do anyhow I'll take my daughter back ( referring to my in-laws.) So all his inlaws are pals with him. They'll be like ogor, oya make we go chill. He will tell you, don't stress them for me o. As for the single ones he'll make sure he provides our needs so we don't look outside. Even as a working class lady, my dad when he collects his pension, he will buy a bag of rice and share to every one of us in our various houses. He was still giving me money till his death in 2012 ( miss you pop). My dad na guy man. Him no send o.

Forget, this life is what you make of it. I try as much as I can to enjoy myself and make every minute of it count

Now I know why you are still single, you lost your Mum at a young age, an African mum cannot allow you reject suitors at 42, if you do, you will tell her if you are the one that gave birth to her😂

Thank you for your response.
Yes, my role in my workplace since inception is Building Inspector.
I have pension and tax from Dec 2016 till date.
I’ll check out Vetassess.

On EA website, I saw that they offer service of writing the CDR for people, can you advise someone to use their service?

On EA website it was specifically written you should not outsource your CDR, they are very big on plagiarism and if you can’t provide the source of your CDR, your assessment will come out negative. The EA MSA document clearly points out how you should structure your CDR, summary statement and CPD. Download it, as a guide, if you are lost, you can ask your questions here for guidance.

Good evening all. I just joined this thread in a quest for Australian PR and other possible means of emigration. But before I proceed, I was told about a sub category 600 visa that enables family to apply independently. Can light be shed on this visa class as I have never heard of it before. Thank you

Hello @tunlex et al
As I once said, I have almost ten years in elect engineering field and my IELTS result is 6.5/7.5/8/8. U said then that it sort of fall below proficient and advised I rewrite. I have not been able to since I won't lie.
My question now is, can I know if their any regional nomination program that I can apply to with such score or better still the assessment body I can use that can give me a better score. Thanks

Having proficient English does not exempt you from applying for PR, it will give you more points yes, but you will only be short by 10 points if you have Superior English. You will be taking maximum experience points if you can get a positive response from EA, If you still want Superior English you can try PTE as it is much easier, though getting voucher in Nigeria now is a bit tougher but someone overseas can purchase the voucher for you.

On the regional nomination SC 491, yes it adds an extra 15 points, so yes you can, just start preparing for assessment with EA without delay. Goodluck.

@Tunlex01, @Remix01, @Vbabs please can you help me?

Morning house.
I am an engineer with over 10 years of work experience. I want to apply for 190/491 Australia skills migration visa, but I work for a local manufacturing company that does not pay employees tax.

How can I secure tax clearance? Please I need help.

Note: my company does not pay pension either.

This is a dicey situation as you don't have any, if you have the money to pay, You can do direct assessment of income for your tax, please visit your local tax office, they will assess your salaries through the years after presenting your payslips, and tell you the tax you will pay. You can use the annual tax receipt or the tax statement from those payment for your assessment. 10 years is a lot of years, ensure you are financially ready before threading this path, else assessment is not possible as secondary documents (Tax/Pension) are necessary.

Hello House,

I would like to submit my CDR + Experience assessment for a chemical engineering role to Engineers Australia.

The problem is that the job designation in my employment letter and payslips does not match with the Chemical Engineering Profession.
designation in my offer letter and payslips is Procurement Engineer (Production/Process) while my job experience for 5 years is Process Engineer (Which is also a chemical engineer). I was given the role of chemical engineer in the procurement Dept without changing the designation in my payslips and offer letter for about 5 years now. Please how can I claim the 5 years of experience, please how do i clarified to EA regarding my chemical engineering experience? Are there any documents I can use to replace the Offer letter & Payslips?

Please someone with experience should help and respond to my questions

You can assess as a Production or Plant Engineer

Construction related jobs are priority for WA, but the higher your points the better. You can do that by having superior English, doing skills assessment with work experience with VETASSES.

You have no problem then if your 5yrs work experience is verifiable.

Just take your PTE test and aim superior English scores. Are you single or married? Go for 491 to boost your points.

Western Australia and New South Wales only require 3yrs experience to apply for their 491.

Use this to calculate your points: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/tools/points-calculator

Carefully answer all the questions to get your projected point scores.

I am single
