Argentines are hardcore racists... the only country in the whole of south america that dont have a single black player ... infact in the whole of the Americas , but north and south .... No black player could command a shirt in barca when Messi was captain... infact he made sure Eric abidal ,( first black sporting director of football for barca )was sacked , after Messi disrespected him in the media ... all the fools celebrating Argentina because of their love for messi... pls try to step foot in Buenos Aires and u will think that u are indeed an animal ... Argentina is the worst country on earth when it comes to racism and Antisemitism.... they were the only country that gave the Nazis asylum after WW2 and there are speculations that Hitler never committed suicide ...he was smuggled to Argentina were he died a natural death , alongside his top generals ... most people don't know history
You just pulled this from my mouth. Not even a single black in their team. I read about hoe they wiped out blacks in their country. Is it not strange that they are the only south American country without blacks.

Of course I know it's Hon Amobi Ogah sponsoring the bill and I know he's from Isuikwuato. I haven't heard this matter ever brought up in our meetings home and abroad. I have sent messages anyways. If we have discussed it in any of our meetings, I'd be overjoyed. And I have right to my comments as you do. So before you IGNORANTLY attack someone's comment, know it's their right to make comments and they have valid reasons for such. I believe that's wisdom
I didn't say you don’t have the right to make comments. I only advised you should make enquiries.

But not Etiti. NEVER!! Etiti is a fraudulent proposal.

How can we go to Ebonyi and Enugu states for the 3rd time to create new state in the southeast while Imo West and Anambra south are ignored?
It is the most viable proposal for an additional state in the South East. It is like a consensus state.
The five south east Governors and delegates from the five south east states in 2014 at the national confab led by the Elder statesman, Gen. Ike Nwachukwu. They agreed and came up with this request for an additional state in the South East. They first called it Equity state in English and then named it Etiti state in Igbo (center/balance of the south east). They agreed that it will consist of some LGAs and people from all the five south east states. If you also investigate very well you will realise that people in these LGAs also have some cultural and ancestral affinity even though they exist presently in different states. Other proposals for an additional state in the south east is like an after thought, trying to cash in on the present mood at the National Assembly.

You dont seem to be in the know of things happening. Go and ask questionsfrom enlightened people from Isuikwato, tell will explain to you their stand. For your information the Honourablemember that sponsored the bill is from Isuikwato. Don't hastily make comments when you have not done research.

I'm from Isuikwuato. Pls leave us in Abia State o. Why you wan join me with Ozara? Did they ask our permission or do an open debate? Creating a new south eastern state is good but not compulsory. There will now be fight on who becomes governor or senator and how it's shared. We are Abia and that's final. Leave us alone.

You think ASUU enjoys going on strike? ASUU. For your information they have not been paid for about 5 months. ASUU only embarks on strike as a last resort. You can't beat a child and tell the child not cry. Infact it is very selfish and unfair for anyone ( Parent or student) to be accusing and calling out ASUU for being selfish and embarking on strike while you are doing the same thing- just looking out for your own interest without minding how the teachers feel. You can't tell me that if you were earning 100k and you were expecting an increase in your salary and all of sudden your employer starts paying you 80k because he is now using a new platform for payment. I am sure you will be very happy and will clap for that employer. Please before condemning anyone, put yourself in their shoes. I just gave an illustration above of one of the reason why ASUU is on strike.

ASUU will catch fire!

These people just want to minimize the number of protesters, they don't have the best interest of the students at heart.

A very stupid association.
ASUU has not called off any strike. This is media propaganda. ASUU doesn't call off strike like that. They have to first report outcome of their negotiations to their members, who will then decide if to suspend the strike or not. It's not easy for Govt to bribe ASUU leaders. Unlike NLC and TUC that call off strike at midnight when money has changed hands. ASUU adopts the method of collective bargaining. The leaders can't call off strike until they have sought the opinion of their members across the universities.

I feel so sad for my country. I can't believe this is coming from a Minister of Education. His statement hi as exposed his mindset. He is arrogantly displaying ignorance. Sometimes it is better to be silent, at least you can be mistaken to be wise. He has made us know that he has no value for education. He believes Govt is spending too much on University Lecturers. How much does a Nigerian Professor earn? A Prof. earns about be #450,000 multiply this by the 10,500 Professors he mentioned and that gives you the amount that our Minister of be Education considers as too much. I am so ashamed that he is from the South. an Igbo man. He is making me believe the Igbos don't have be value for Education.

My dear, I just pity Parents and Students. Nigerians don't seem to understand what is about to happen. Unfortunately, the whole thing will rest on the head of Parents and their children in Universities. Our politicians have their Children in foreign Universities. They don't care what happens in Public Universities. We have the most irresponsible and careless leaders. Inflicting hardship and pain on defenseless citizens. All through the COVID lockdown no effort was made to resolve the ASUU strike. They preferred to hide under pretence of lockdown to keep our schools closed, While doing nothing about the strike.

As L1 i peaked at 179k. I was promoted to SL since 2019. My colleagues that joined ippis receive 230k at step 1. His fathers salary as of 20yrs is irrelevant. This new scale was implemented un 2009. If your looking to build a house and travel the world on lecturer salary your out of luck. Even the earned allowance payments that will help you repaint ur house or buy a tokunbo car is spaced yrs apart with inflation violating the value. Lecturers are not perfect. I was a student once too. But if its on the strike, govt hv been 100% insincere. If students demanded better service delivery and stood up for themselves, half the causes of strikes wont even make the list of ASSU demands
Thanks my dear for making it clearer. Noise doesn't cover ignorance. I was so surprised at his/her bold display of ignorance even when people in the system were trying to enlighten him/her. It's unfortunate the FG has decided to display wickedness and insincerity on this IPPIS issue. Telling lies and using propaganda in the media. I'm sorry for Nigerian students if these issues are not harmoniously resolved before resumption. They will be at the receiving end. We have been talking about falling standard of education and all manner of unwholesome practices in the system, but what we are about to experience if Govt tries to arm twist ASUU to submission will be alarming. Discussion with an average Lecturer in the by University shows that they are very bitter and sad with the way Govt has treated them. Some good ones are already looking for alternative means of survival and have vowed not to bother about the good of the system again, while the bad guys among them now seem to have a ready excuse and motivation to extort and make unnecessary demands. Unfortunately, it is the students that will bear the brunt.

EEDC is a huge failure. Can you believe that an area in Umuahia Amaeke junction has not had light for more than 2 years. EEDC doesn't want to invest in infrastructure. The transformer in that area got bad and replacing it has been a problem. They want people to donate and then they will start bringing their outrageous bills. Recently they brought a transformer and have refused to connect it and are asking people to go and pay outstanding bills. People are so annoyed with them. After staying for such a long time you expect people to be willing to pay for light that they have not seen. I wonder how people reason. They think others to be fools.

It is really annoying and frustrating what people go through in this country. This is how the arab spring started in Tunisia. A young man, a graduate selling fruits could no longer bear the frustration of unemployment and difficulty in earning a living set himself on fire - suicide. This stirred anger in the people who started protesting. This protest sent parking the King of Tunisia and spread to other Arab countries. this protests swept away rulers like Mubarak of Egypt, Ghadafi of Libya and Infact the war we see still raging in Syria is a fallout of that young man's action. Our leaders should not take this kind of action for granted. This man would have been alive today if not for the heartlessness of our selfish and wicked leaders who don't care how their subjects fair. If this man could resolve to take his own life, then it is also possible someone one day will resolve to take not only his own life but the life of one of these leaders at whatever cost.

PoliticsRe: Marketers Give Conditions For Exposing Those Behind Fuel Scarcity by renzie: 11:19pm On Apr 12, 2016
You are right my friend. I am surprised the Govt. is behaving as if she is helpless and ignorant of this happenings. Those in NNPC are responsible for our problems. Until those corrupt, greedy and wicked officials are fished out and dealt with these things will continue. They bring out fuel in the name of the NNPC filling stations and affiliates and simultanously arrange for buyers- in this case independent marketers(filling stations owned by nnpc staff, friends, relatives or partners in crime). The original owners of the Product (NNPC filling stations and their affiliates) in whose name the products were released may not even know the buyers, but the crooks at NNPC arrange for the sale and credits the account of the Original owner of the product (for instance instead of #86/litre that the original owner would have sold the product, a truck load may be sold at #120/litre x 45,000 litres) His account is credited with #120x45,000. He makes so much profit far more than what he would have gotten if sold the product in his filling station, so he doesn't complain. The independent marketer that bought the truck load of fuel takes it to his filling station and sells at whatever price he likes (which is usually in the range of #180/litre and above). So the average Nigerian on the streets pays for the wickedness and greed of this heartless men. The govt. should find a way to easily frustrate these men.

Even though i am in support of wike winning and being the Gov of Rivers state. I have some concerns about the Impact of the supreme court Judgemment on elections in Nigeria in the future. It has indirectly rubbished the efforts at reducing election rigging thru the use of card readers. This judgment will embolden politicians to ignore the card reader and rig elections knowing that they have a chance of winning at the court based on the position of the law. We all know results were inflated manually even though wike would have still won if a free and fair election held. This judgement even though it has proven the independence of the judiciary at least at the supreme court has taken us many steps backward in achieving rigging free elections. I will like something to be done quickly legislatively with regards to card readers

Abia must be free from the grips of Ochendo and his family. Okezie Ikpeazu's problem is simply bacause he is T A Orji's Candidate. He may be good but it is difficult to believe he will be good because of his god father, as it seems nothing good can come from him. I am rather concerned about my Ngwa brothers who are making the mistake of thinking that having a Governor from your side automatically solves all your problems. It is good to let you know that most of T.A. Orji's kinsmen from Umuahia- Ibeku, Ohuhu, Olokoro etc are complaining and are not happy with their brother who they believe has rather been divisive, enriched himself and friends and has not developed their place. I hope most of you shouting Ngwa this and Ngwa that, won't come here some years later to start expressing regret and annoyance that Okezie has disappointed your expectation and enriched only his family and friends. Let's be objective and less tribalistic. Ask yourself (1) Assuming Okezie was not from your place (2) Given the way T A Orji has governed the state, would you have voted for any one he presents as his candidate? If you can answer this questions sincerely, then you will understand why the majority of Abians who have no direct ties to either Otti or Okezie have chosen to vote for Otti.

The situation is not clear at all, can any one explain the true situation? The right thing should be the cancellation of the 3 LGAs which had outrageous results and everyone knows was cooked by Ochendo and his award winning cooks.

My heart bleeds for Abia. Nigeria should come to see what is happening in Abia state, This is broad day robbery attempt. All over the state Abians spoke vehemently of their frustartion with the T.A. Orji family and Govt. by voting massively for Alex Otti. However, T. A. Orji is heel bent on rigging the election in favour of his hand picked PDP candidate. The World and Nigeria should come to the rescue of Abia. The sitting Governor has thrown caution to the wind, he is senselessly brazen and bold he believes Abia is in his hands and no one can change the cause of things in the state. Workers are owed up to 7 months of salary, pensioners are completely denied their meagre entitlements, in frustration Abians have voted against his party yet he has refused to allow the wish of the people to speak. Things like this lead to crisis. If the president can lose and allow the wish of Nigerians to Stand, why will orji see it as impossible to step aside. INEC should come to the rescue of the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Abia. She has stood her ground all this while refusing to compromise however, it seems the pressure is beginning to overwhelm her. She obviously is becoming afraid for her life. The pressure from PDP bigwigs in the region is becoming too much. how else will you explain the fact that results from three wards that were massively rigged by PDP were cancelled by her and after a while the State Governor, Chief Olseh metuh and other heavy waits confronted her in her office and afterward she came out and reversed the cancellation of those LGA's. This lawlessness can not stand. T.A. orji has taken this too far. Judgement day is here! He has failed to realise that a wind of Change is blowing across the Country and in a season like this any ruler that fails to adjust will be broken, T.A. Orji will end up in shame since he has failed to realize it's a new season. Some of this leaders see President Goodluck as a weakling, but they don't realize he was simply smart. He recognized the shift and change and acted timely thereby writing his name in Gold instead of bowing out in shame. but not for Ochendo he will rather end in shame than hand over peacefully. Abians have spoken and it must stand.

However, it's good to note that Amaechi wants to cause trouble, he has not to realised that the average South south person will vote for PDP apart from few followers of Amaechi that moved to APC with him. Although I see Dakuku the APC governorship candidate as a better person compared to Wike, unfortunately people are not going to vote with that understanding. People are going to vote against Amaechi who they see as a saboteur, someone that worked against the interest of the Region. the average south south man and even south east is not happy with Amaechi apart from people that stand to personally gain from his group. PDP will win in Rivers state any day even in a free and fair election. Although the 1.4M votes for Jonathan was not real it was abnormally high.

Each time i think of what is happening in Abia, i feel like crying. Where the family of the sitting Governor are so greedy and desperate that if allowed they will share all the positions among themselves. T.A Orji surely will be disgraced, his undoing will be his greed. In other states where sitting Governors are vying for the senate they were not allowed to pick their successors but not for Ochendo he insisted going to senate and insisted on picking someone that will keep making huge returns to him as a godfather, someone that will be a toy in his hands. There were better candidates in PDP the likes of UCHE OGA, ALEX OTTI, some of whom he had given the impression in the past that he will give the PDP ticket. That's not all, without concern about what people will say or think his son is also running for the state House of Assembly. They seem to have the impression that the state is theirs and no one can do anything. unfortunately it's about to backfire, Alex otti is gaining massive support day by day. If the election holds is going to be a tsunami. It's obvious they don't care what the people think or want they are bent on rigging the elections, but I see them beign disappointed this time, they don't realize what is happening, they will soon face reality it's going to be embarassing.
