New Beginning! I was left in tears when i read
President Goodluck congratulatory message to
Gen. Buhari I was not crying because i felt like
crying, i was not crying because i supported him
and he lost, but i cried because his words
arrested my emotions. He wished his opponent a
good administration ahead, he congratulated him
and accepted defeat. I could remember by this
time in 2011, Buhari never accepted that he lost,
he promised Jonathan that he will make his
administration ungovernable for him and he later
fulfilled his promise. His supporters took to the
streets and slaughtered innocent Nigerian, but he
never stopped the killings. But today, he has won
that same man that defeated him in 2011 but got
a congratulatory message instead of threats. He
has wished him success and not promising him
an ungovernable tenure. Few weeks to the
election, the people we call our leaders were busy
sending threats to themselves And leaving the
poor masses gripped with fear. Some people left
the country with fear of the aftermath of the
election. But today you've restored peace by
accepting defeat peaceful. Oh! Jonathan, you've
shown us that you're a good man. You've shown
African leaders the true definition of democracy.
You wished not to influence the elections with
your powers, you wished not to Cancel the

One particular thing I have observed this transition period that will ends Jonathan tenor is the air of excitement everywhere that at last Nigeria as a country is seeing the last of Jonathan bad government. This reminds of the day Abacha died, I remember the excitement from people everywhere then, one woman exclaimed then that "thank God, He has overcome evil for us". Honestly I noticed that the present excitement is more on the fact that Nigeria is seeing the end of Jonathan regime than Buhari taking over. Your opinion on this is welcome.

ajiolaoluwa:
I have just confirmed that a total of 290 soldiers were dismissed yesterday by the Authorities of the Nigerian Army. The letters of dismissal were distributed in Jos, Plateau State and Ibadan, Oyo state. Before the dismissal, the soldiers were subjected to orderly room trial.

Even though they pleaded not guilty to the charges of cowardice and failure to fight the Boko Haram sect the dismissed soldiers were not tried by any court-martial in line with the provisions of the Armed Forces Act. It would be recalled that the Nigerian Army also sacked another batch of 200 soldiers in similar circumstances in December last year.
d soldiers sh appeal since there is the provision.

Masturbating men ‘will find their hands pregnant in the afterlife’- Muslim televangelist

A Muslim televangelist, Mücahid Cihad Han has set Turkish social media aflame by claiming that a man would meet his masturbating hand ‘pregnant in the afterlife’ and is ‘asking for its rights.
Lol
Self-styled televangelist Mücahid Cihad Han dived into some delicate matters on May 24 when he answered his viewers’ questions on private television station 2000 TV, Turkish media has reported. Han initially looked puzzled when a viewer said he ‘kept masturbating, although he was married, and even during the Umrah,” a pilgrimage to Mecca performed by Muslims which can be undertaken at any time of the year, in contrast to the Hajj.

After repeating the question a few times, Han claimed that Islam strictly prohibits masturbation as a “haram” (forbidden) act. “Moreover, one hadith states that those who have sexual intercourse with their hands will find their hands pregnant in the afterlife, complaining against them to God over its rights,” he said, referring to what he claimed to be a saying of Prophet Muhammad.

“If our viewer was single, I could recommend he marry, but what can I say now?” the televangelist added, advising the viewer to “resist Satan’s temptations.”

Is masturbation forbidden in Islam?

“Istimna,” the Arabic term for masturbation that Han also referred to, is a controversial issue in Islam, as there have been varying opinions on its permissibility throughout history. The Quran has no clear reference to masturbation and the authenticity of many hadiths is questionable.

Despite Han’s assertive religious stance, only a limited number of Islamic interpretations categorize masturbation as “haram,” while most of others call it a “makruh” (disliked) act. Many of the mainstream Islamic interpretations even allow it in certain conditions, like if the act could be used to avoid the temptation of an extramarital affair.

Han, who has more than 12,000 followers on Twitter, was mocked on Turkish social media on May 25, after newspapers published his latest television “fatwa.”

“Are there any hand-gynaecologists in the afterlife? Is abortion allowed there?” one Twitter user asked, while mentioning Han’s Twitter user name.

“So you think that being pregnant is a God-given punishment?” another user asked.

The Nigerian Army has been deploying state-of-the-art military equipment in the war against the Boko Haram insurgents in the North East.
Naij.com has gathered up some of the photos of the military hardware and its operators.

It should be noted that the Nigerian Army has liberated all of the main towns from Boko Haram in recent months, and saved about 1,000 abducted women and childrenin total.
The military was said to have devastated several insurgents’ camps and training bases, chased the sect out of the Sambisa Forestand arrested some people for sponsoring and supporting the terrorists.
Meanwhile, isolated suicide bombings have continued, although after six years of plague, the terrorists seem to have been transformed from the hunters to the hunted.
Only five months ago Boko Haram was causing chaos in the North East, apparently able to launch attacks at will and controlling territories as large as the European country of Belgium (over 30,500 sq.km).
Failure to stop insurgency played a part in the political collapse of the outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan, the first Nigerian president to concede defeat at the poll, amid promises by his contender, Muhammadu Buhari, to “crush” terrorism.http://www.naij.com/443495-photos-special-forces-units-in-boko-haram-war.html

After more than 10 years’ dedicated work, Italian-born artist Dino Mazzoli has completed his hand-written
illustrated Bible. The Bible, which is 1,473
pages long in 23 volumes has the complete text of the
Christian Community Bible handwritten in small capitals, with around 5,000 colour
illustrations on its A4 pages. Some are full page, but most are embedded in the text, in the tradition of medieval illustrated Bibles, though in a
more abstract style.
