There is a column to validate your registration number to know if you are eligible to register with the school. That is the first step before payment.

The University of Abuja, Abuja have finally released the date and procedures for the registration of the 2016/2017 post UTME. Prospective students are expected to pay a sum of N3,550 naira which will be paid through the institution portal.

Students are expected to generate a reference number and application number which shall be used to complete the registration process.

This came weeks after the house of senate announced the annulment of the exercise. And many institutions seems to have gone against this order by going ahead to set up the exercise.



These are instructions on how to access the Pre-admission Screening Application:

1. New Application:
2. logon to unibuja.com
3. Print Procedure to access sale of Online Pre-admission Screening Application by clicking on Landing page.
4. Exit Landing page.
5. Click on Pre-admission Screening button on Main menu home page.
6. Click Admission then, select Screening (to start a new application)
7. Type JAMB REGISTRATION NUMBER and click Pay with Card and fill online form save and continue till you end session.
8. Read the contained instructions and click “continue” at the bottom end of the page
9. Enter your Personal Data details, select your Program of choice and click on “Pay with Remita” do not input any information in “Enter your PIN column or click Apply New”
10. A page will display, write down your Reference number (where there issues, it will be used to resolve same). Confirm the amount displayed for the Application Form and ensure you have the stated amount and 1% of the amount being Remita Processing Charge as approved by the Government in your Bank Account (ATM Card) to be used for payment online. Then click “proceed”.
11. Click on “proceed to gateway”
12. Your Remita Reference (RRR) number will be displayed (write it down or print invoice)
13. Use “pay now with cards or wallets” payment options (this is the best and recommended option), click on the icon of the card you are using either Verve, Master card, or Visa, then click “Proceed”. NO BANK BRANCH PAYMENTWILLBE PROCESSED.
14. Click “select your card type” and fill in your ATM card details or information. Then click “pay”
15. After successful Payment, you will be redirected to page 2 to continuing update of Personal Data a n d your APPLICATION NUMBER will be displayed. Note it down for future reference.
16. Input all other information required. Note: All asterisks Column are compulsory. Click on “Save and Continue” at the end of every page.
17. Click on ‘Referee Form’ to download the form in three (3) copies and fill and get completed by the required referee and scan in .jpg format and upload back in page five (5).
18. At the last Page-Page Four (5) check the box for the “Declaration and undertaking” and click on save and continue.
19. Click on “Submit Application”
20. Print Screening Application Form and Acknowledgment Slip/Receipt.
21. Admission List shall be publicized later Entry Application Closes on August 17, 2016.
22. To verify and continuing with the previous Application:
23. logon to unibuja.com
24. Exit Landing page.
25. Click on Pre-admission Screening button on Main menu home page.
26. Click Admission then, select Screening (to verify previous application)
27. Type JAMB REGISTRATION NUMBER and Reference Number click Verify and continuing filling the online form save and continue till you end session.
28. Print Screening Application Form and Acknowledgment Slip/Receipt.
29. To recover your Application Form Number
30. logon to unibuja.com
31. Exit Landing page.
32. Click on Pre-admission Screening button on Main menu home page.
33. Click Admission then, select Screening (to recover Application Form No)
34. Click Recover you Application Number
35. Input the Reference Number and click on submit (it will display your application Form Number)
NOTE: You must upload scanned Signature and Passport Photography before you will be allowed to submit the Application form

Interswitch is always the best option but costs 150k.

I'll advice the following;

1. Report this issue to ur husband's family nd urs as well.

2. Find a good attorney to follow up the case.

3. If u have a good military personnel near you, u can report too incase police wants to get funny.

4. Take ur child to a good center where they can take good care of him both physically and psychologically.

5. Leave that environment for good.

I wish ur family well.

It doesn't always have to be the seller that scams but whole lot of buyers r out there too to scam. U just need to be more careful when dealing with people.

In the case of Mikketech, it was obvious he sold blackhat adsense to the buyer, nd later tried to clean his mess with his other nairaland account, a move the thread OP caught in screenshot. Obviously that was scamming!

And in your case, it's unfortunate d guy took d advantage of u trying to be honest nd open by giving him access b4 payment. A gesture i'll never support if selling online to a new client.

If a buyer can't make enough findings on who he's buying from (which should be easier than for the seller to make findings about him), then I'll never trust an unknown buyer with my product or services.

If the buyer still see reasons not to pay before service, I advice you both to use third party system for the transaction. Or even use a reputable member/admin of this forum as a middle man in the transaction.

Anyways, sorry for d loss.

Researchers have just discovered that a bug in the Google chrome browser let users download movies and shows from Netflix. David Livshits from the Cyber Security Research Center at Ben-Gurion University and Alexandra Mikityuk of Telekom Innovation Laboratories have reportedly discovered a way to hijack video that is being played in Google Chrome from either Netflix or Amazon Prime and then output it as a video file which can be played offline from any device.

The bug which was discovered eight months ago by the researchers seems to have existed since google integrated Widevine EME/CDM to it’s Chrome browser. A technology google owns but did not create (Google acquires Widevine in 2010 to secure Chrome streams and premium YouTube channels).

The Google Chrome uses the Widevine EME/CDM to play encrypted videos on the web browser and on over 2 billion devices that play protected videos.

Google’s Response

Even though the researchers notified Google about this bug just weeks ago, Google has been slow to get back to the team, which is why they have gone public now, though they haven’t actually released any technical details as to how they managed to find the bug in the first place. Google, for its part, is playing coy.

We appreciate the researchers’ report and we’re examining it closely. Chrome has long been an open-source project and developers have been able to create their own versions of the browser that, for example, may use a different CDM or include modified CDM rendering paths. The Chrome browser, however, is required to protect compressed video and does so.

Google will presumably validate the bug and then patch it if required, but with Chromium being out in the wild and presumably carrying the same bug, things may be about to get interesting for Google and its Chrome web browser.


Fight Against Piracy

No one knows for sure if this bug is been exploited by the pirates or they are just getting to know about it, but with Neflix providing very high quality videos, this will surely be a very long fight for the movie industries because high quality videos can now be pirated.

Netflix generates billions of dollars annually from its user base that spans over 190 countries including Nigeria and the movie industries have had a very strong trust in the service Neflix renders because it has drastically reduced the level of piracy.

Downloading movies from Netflix is strongly prohibited and since it’s launching, Netflix has been very strict with its policy and technology to avoid videos been downloaded from it’s platform.

It’s been a long battle for the movie industries to tackle pirates and they have been trying all they could to reduce the level of piracy in the movie industry. It now seems the fight against piracy is been taken to another field.
