fizzile: Use IERF, I can boldly attest to that. I used them and I was surprised how my very poor UG GPA increased. I was amazed. Got my copy yesterday and was surprised. Their evaluation is good. Secondly, they won't have to contact your UG school for confirmation like WES does. Once your transcripts gets to them, it takes highest 15 working days to evaluate. If you want it sent to the school the next day or next day, u jst pay a little token. In a nutshell, IERF is great. I can vouch. Go ahead. Did you submit your original certificates! I learnt from their site that you must submit your original certificates! |

phyllosilicate: It seems he was asked only one questions because there was no time again. I was among the first to be interviewed and the questions were many. Starting with tell me about yourself, to questions on the subject and teaching passion, why should i hire you and why do you want to work with us. Mine was about 30 mins, though that man that welcomed us was telling them 'time, time, time and that there are many candidates to be interviewed.
I think the day you would be interviewed, people won't be much. Ensure you can articulate well why you love teaching physics.
Was it only physics test that was written that day? Also do you have a degree in education? Depending on what you wrote on your CV, If you clotter your cv with alot of stuff then you should expect questions. The lady that went after me also spend roughly 30mins. |

MacJC: Option 1:
Do a visual analysis of d school WRT d structures on ground. That should give u a clue of what salary range 2 demand.
Option 2:
On or b4 d D-day, arrive d school earlier than d scheduled time and hang around; start up a friendly and "innocent" conversation with any one or 2 good-natured staffs (teaching/non- teaching). Along d line, they'll either spill d beans or give u a clue......
Option 3: Quote a relatively high figure/range and they'll beat it down 2 an amount they can pay. Caveat: the third one can be chosen if: (i) You know in ur church mind dt u are a guru in d subject and u have no competition. It will be suicidal to chose ds option if u are one amongst equals
[ii] If d subject u applied 4 is highly specialized. Eg spanish, Portuguese, music etc. Remember d law of demand and supply.
Best Luck!!! Thank You! |

swaggprofessor: the interview is more like an exam. It is into 3 sections. What are the three sections? The message I got didnt specify any form of interview in sections. Here is what they send You are requested to come along with: 1. 6 copies of your Curriculum Vitae 2. Two (2) Passport size photograph with your name & signature at the back 3. Original and photocopies of your Academic & Professional Certificates 4. A pen |

swaggprofessor: No school will go thru the stress of securing a venue far from the school area and holding that kind of interview if they aren't ready to pay up to 35k. Put that in mind as the least u can go. they are doing this so that u don't see the school structure to weigh ur negotiation. But focus on the exam first. Which exam again! Your last sentence. |
