*IMPORTANT TIPS ON LEADING AND SINGING CHORUSES*​


​1. In any program whether Revival Hour, Crusade, Prayer Vigil, Bible Study, or other programs; start chorus with praise-worship.​


​2. Be specific on your clapping whether you want to sing on 2/2 or4/4 or 3/4. Don't begin to switch in the middle of chorus so that you won't cause confusion in clapping.​


​3. Don't go and pick high pitch if you want to start chorus because you may later sing a chorus that has high key and you may not be able to pick the high pitch again. It will weigh down the congregation.​


​4. Don't frown when leading and singing chorus. Let there be joy in your face. Your action and reaction will influence the congregation.​


​5. Let your voice be audible enough for people to hear you but don't just shout.​


​6. Let the key you are singing on rhyme with the keyboard or other instruments playing. Don't change key anyhow and confuse the keyboardist​


​7. When you want to start chorus,don't begin to ask; "Are you happy?, will U sing well?" If they are not happy, they won't be in God's presence and even if they were not happy before, you should let God use you to lift their spirits through singing and other sections of the program. Just go straight with your choruses. During Thursday Revival Hour,if you want to make announcement about testimony, do that before you start chorus. Don't go and be stopping them when chorus is ongoing. It will not gear the spirit up again.​


​8. It is noticed that some will be singing choruses and will be clapping directly into the mic. Don't do that Pls. It's not necessarily you clap. As a good chorister, you can be tapping your feet underneath if you want to count beats. Allow the congregation to do the clapping. When you begin to clap into the mic, it will be noisy and only your clap will be heard not song.​


​9. Brethren, when singing chorus, in each chorus you raise, notice the mood of the congregation and how they are responding. If you notice that a particular chorus you raised or sang lifted their soul, don't change to another one quickly. Still continue to sing that particular one.​


​10. *When singing chorus, don't join the congregation to sing again. Just lead it and allow them to respond. If you are also responding with them, it can affect your voice.*Take note.​


​11. Sing songs you know very well. Don't go and be singing songs you don't know and cause confusion.​


​12. I have notice that some don't use to sing according to program. Pls take note of this.
*_If it is Bible Study;_* Sing songs on heaven, righteousness, Bible, holiness, rapture, salvation.
*_If it is Revival Hour;_* Sing choruses on miracles, faith, God's promises and the likes.
*_If it is Prayer Vigil;_* Sing on prayer, miracle, power,and so on.
• Don't sing Bible Study songs during Revival Hour Program.
• Don't go and be singing Prayer song during Bible study.
• Don't mix everything up and feel that anything goes.
• Be orderly, organized and well coordinated.​


​13. Pray before going to sing chorus. Don't just go there all in the name of voice oo!!. Pls. Remember Satan himself is a Singer. So don't depend on your voice but God.​


​14. Lastly, sing with grace from your heart and with the mind of pleasing God. Not pleasing Human.​
