I like the analysis of the presidents handlers but unfortunately our politics is determined by tribal and religious sentiments, this is the leverage our president would not have up north in the forth coming elections. The large margin of the previous elections should not deceive them as the loss of one vote has the effect of two vote because you lose it directly to your rival. E.g in 2011 he won by about 100,000 vote in sokoto state, when PDP lost the structure in 2015 he won by about 600,000 votes. If Tambauwal moves with the structure and his people back him considering the lawless vendetta treatment Dasuki has received and recalling the shagari treatment, the president may have just cost himself about 1,000,000 vote worth of effect. Also the middlebelt (north central) is lost already. |
Funny enough this same ''corruption free'' Government/party have returned the seized assets of Timipre sylva, wiped the slate of late Prince Abubakar Audu before his governorship election, refused to prosecute Babachir Lawal, stopped all media trial of Obanikoro, recently dropped some of the charges against Orji Uzor Kalu, Gave Maina a 'red carpet reception' in the form of double promotion, kept mute over wale oke (#$43 million dollar) and so many others too numerous to mention. All this issues i have mentioned all share something in common, they are covered 'with the broom of Apc'. As long as i am concerned this anti corruption fight is only self serving and meant to achieve selfish perpetuation of this government in power. |
is alright. By the way the size of the broom they are holding is a true representation of the current economic state of Nigeria. Look at the size of broom held by defectors a few years ago and u will agree with me |
sarrki:it is very strange that u now talk against media trial and first indicting someone after all the effc and FG media trial we have watched u support. |
[/b][quote author=southniyikaye post=55515805]someone should pls tell me why we won't have the following Recession Scarcity of forex Increase in goods and commodities See hoarding for Christ sake Gej is a useless man believe me.up on till now I still have respect for him but seeing all these,he lost my respect cos all these evil was perpetrated during his rule. Towards the end of his reign expecially the campaign period, money was given out, shared in dollars. FOR ALL THOSE WHO COULDN'T CRITICIZE CONSTRUCTIVELY, THIS IS FOR YOU[/quote comment from a position of facts or full knowledge of a subject matter not emotion. the alleged owner of the money Mrs. Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue happens to be an appointee of PMB and was only appointed in August 2015, which invariably means that the looting took place under his watch. Now it will be hypocritical to not also call PMB useless and not lose respect for him. Thank you http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/188206-buhari-sacks-heads-of-nnpc-subsidiaries-appoints-4-new-group-executive-directors.html |
I blame the president in all of this. If he had done the right thing by appointing someone from the customs we will not be discussing this matter, instead he took away one of the aspirations of custom officers (dreaming of becoming controller general) on the alter of party politics. |

This us why there is NO CHANGE and there will never be change until we the masses learn to condemn actions no matter who is involved. This is the exact same car Stella oduah authorized NCAA to buy for about N127 million each and we all condemned her now a Governor has bought it for today's equivalent of about N320 million and some people are hailing him. What is bad with Stella Oduah is also bad with Akinwunmi Ambode. Stop the hypocrisy! |
well done. My rep for seyi law just increased, not because he is part of an anti government protest but because he kept his word on what he said he will do even when he could easily have chickened out. #man of your word. |
when you set up a panel the purpose should be to investigate and find out what happened over a particular issue but by the submissions of the IG he has already declared the 2nd plaintiff (wike) guilty even before receiving the panels report. With this I can understand why the Governor went to court in the first place. My question is what has happened to the Rivers State SAS commander caught on camera brutalizing election officials in an attempt to cart away election results? |
This is what our politics has become. when the president was contesting he was painted as a saint and someone who can do no wrong, no one will tell me he is not aware as this is the second time it is happening in Rivers State. With what we are seeing the president is the most corrupt individual alive as he has used the privilege of his office to steal from over 3million rivers state. for those who will say it happened in 2015 can u upload video evidence of rigging in rivers state like this one. |
I guess the blame for international shame will be placed on her and 16years of pop rule by the president and his handlers. It will hypocritical to condemn trumps wife but keep mute on Buhari act. |

Philistine:Hope u also remember how Timipre Sylva's own ended |
I guess Mr. Nwoye was not in Nigeria prior to 2015 when the issues of national interest where displayed in the foreign media including indirect advice to avoid the nigerian economy all on the altar of politics. All the DSP has done is to attract foreign attention to ensure fair trial which is within his rights. If the FG has nothing to hide then they shouldn't worry as a positive outcome for them will only result in international ridicule for DSP. |

it is shocking that Lie Mohammed will continue with this story line of boko haram hoisting flags at the time they took over even when he gave press conferences criticizing the previous government of acting too close to the election for personal gains. If lie mohammed insist that boko haram was hoisting flags at the time they took over then he just admitted to a crime of election rigging by his party because we were told by the government and Prof. Jega's INEC that election held in the 774 LGA's of Nigeria and the APC did not dispute that statement, a careful study of the results will show u that the APC won in those LGA's. If boko haram was still hoisting flags then the APC wrote those results that were submitted from the comfort of a chieftain's home. |
iphyconsult:Am not saying it is fair but when i did my clearance i used september 2015 admission but i had to defer when i could not get visa at short notice, that should be why i was among the first batch. If he/she has this problem i referred him to an existing whatapps group of scholars to confirm if am lying. It is true that NDDC always delays in paying but this current years own has been payed in the month of march/april 2016. |
aalander:i was due to start in september 2015 before i deferred to september 2016 probable that is why i was among the first batch. find out about the whatapp page and facebook page u might get some tips. we are about 210 scholars and that whatapp group has over 100 members. |
pls op if u have this problem then it is peculiar to u or a few set of scholars. I am one of those scholar though i had to defer for one year but as i speak to u all my entitlements save for my upkeep (which can only be paid to ur UK account) has been paid even the 500,000 naira. It is true that there was delay but they paid about a month ago. There is an existing facebook and whatsapp page for 2015/16 scholars, you can find out from our other colleagues. |
ask the op if u can process the FG CBN bailout in less than a week because if i remember correctly the PDP nat. conv. is on saturday 21/05/2016 and the Rivers State Government just got approval to apply for the bailout from the assembly today. OP even if u don't like a person at least have the decency to tell the truth. |
op i understand your concern but the loan is the federal govt. bailout which is to be used to pay pensioneers, you know that the bailout has to go through CBN approval and there is no way it can be ready for convention. This is to say that the purpose is not for the convention as you tactically claimed. |
If the APC in rivers state would claim that the election in Tai LGA that was cancelled before election was officially over (2pm) had already collated and announced results then the claim of the protesters is not far from the truth. We as a people must ask APC rivers where the results came from as INEC had officially cancelled the process. Thank God they are the ruling party, lets see if they would claim to be rigged by PDP through INEC even when they had their most trusted staff (Amina Waziri) here in Rivers State. |
I thought they claimed few months after taking power that over 700 million naira was seen in one of Gesila Khan's Accounts, now it is about 150 million naira. If the authorities have anything on her why don't they let the law run it's full cause. Next we will be told that the current INEC boss was bribed to rig the re-run election or was it Gesila Khan that also organised the re-run election in which they performed so poorly that they are ashamed of releasing some results. |

The Chief Media Consultant to the Forum of Spokespersons of Security and Response Agencies (FOSSRA), Yushau Shuaib, has resigned his appointment after three years in the post. While in that position, Mr. Shuaib, a retired civil servant, served as intermediary between major security/response agencies and the media in Nigeria. In a statement on Monday, Mr. Shuaib said he was engaged by a former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, to serve as media consultant to military, security, intelligence and response organisations under a unified platform. He said he also had as his core mandate the responsibility of positioning the agencies for desired public perception and changing the negative narratives regarding the war against terror. In his notice of resignation served on the Chairman of the forum and Director of Defence Information, Rabe Abubakar, a brigadier general, Mr. Shuaib said he could no longer continue to serve FOSSRA which is under the auspices of the Office of National Security Adviser (ONSA) because of what he called “misleading report by the presidential committee under the same ONSA.” He accused the committee of “unjustly accusing almost all institutions and individuals that served the office without fair hearing.” Mr. Shuaib said, “The retired AVM Jon Ode-Presidential Panel under ONSA is merely criminalizing critical institutions and indicting groups and individuals in the media without being arraigned in the court of law where the accused could prove their innocence.” He queried the rationale behind empowering a Panel on Procurement of Arms that is composed of retired and serving military officers to also probe contracts and services that have nothing to do with arms and ammunition. The media consultant said “while the Jon Ode led-Panel deliberately refuses to acknowledge successes recorded by previous administration in the war on terror, the team has only succeeded in misleading the president with its biased reports that create unnecessary anxiety in the polity.” He advised President Muhammadu Buhari to be wary of those whose stock in trade is to blackmail and destroy others apparently as a way and means of venting their anger over their past frustrations or exerting revenge against their perceived enemies or rivalries while in the service. “I wonder if President Buhari was able to conduct comprehensive background checks on some members of the panel before their appointment. A mere google check would have provided him a glimpse on the character and ethical capital of some of these individuals who may likely be showing frustrations occasioned by stagnation in posting, arraignment before court martial for indiscipline and fund misappropriation while in service apart from those that might have served as aides to controversial figures,” he said. Mr. Shuaib, who was defending a PR agency, Image Merchants, that has worked for security agencies since 2013 with over 20 staff on its monthly payroll said: “It is mere mischief for the Jon Ode-panel to indict an umbrella strategic communication outfit that was not involved in partisan politics but provided proofs of its assignment and paid the full taxes demanded by the panel only for the same panel to turn around and claim nothing was done just few days after an article we published exposing the lies being orchestrated that no weapons were bought by the previous administration for the prosecution of war on terror. “The panel were even arguing with us on some contents of the published article forgetting that while most of them were on retirement we risk our live by engaging top serving military officers on various security issues and on the field which we disseminate through the media to the public. “They seemed to be aggrieved with the disclosure in the article that the previous administration bought sophisticated weapons for the military, which included: Alpha jets, Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) APCs, Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles, advanced artillery pieces, assorted arms and ammunitions, highly sophisticated surveillance drones, T72 Battle Tanks and modification of F7 supersonic jet fighters.” In the same statement, Mr. Shuaib said at the twilight of the Goodluck Jonathan administration more than 22 towns in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states were recovered and confirmed with video and pictorial evidences through military press releases. Some of the towns recovered before the coming of President Buhari included: Abadam, Askira, Baga, Bama, Bita, BuniYadi, Damboa, Gamboru Ngala, Goniri, Gujba, Gulani, Gwoza, Hong, Konduga, Kukawa, Marte, Madagali, Michika, Monguno, Mubi, and others. A clear testimony to some of the accomplishments was the official DHQ release dated March 16, 2015 with reference No: DHQ/ABJ/901/32/DDI and a title: “Troops Finally Rout Terrorists from Bama and Last Stronghold in Yobe.” He said the Jonathan’s administration achieved the feat through adequate funding of Multinational Joint Taskforce (MNJTF) and participating neighbouring countries in additional to recruitments of ‘Special M Forces’ that stormed the terrorists’ camps from the air. The combined and collaborative security efforts, according to the consultant, weakened Boko Haram terrorists from disrupting the 2015 general elections which Mr. Buhari eventually won. “Surprisingly an article published by an aide of President Buhari eulogizing former NSA Dasuki over the accomplishments in the war against terror by Jonathan’s administration, which Shuaib cited in his article, has been deleted from the website of the newsmedia that published it. The original article where the media link was provided can still be read from this,” Mr. Shuaib said. He said while the Jon Ode Panel deliberately refused to appreciate PR intervention in crisis management, he claimed “For genuine reasons and concern, our strategic team managed many humiliating and embarrassing reports from leakages, including alleged terrorists’ attacks in the hometowns of top security officers in the current administration.” The consultant warned that: “While it is wrong to criminalize the military by subjecting their officers to scrutiny in an agency headed by a policeman, it is appalling the continued exposure of our judiciary to public ridicule in the sensationalised anti-corruption campaigns. In this context, it is foolhardy for anyone to now contemplate using a PR agency to rubbish media integrity as another critical stakeholder. PR people engage the media professionally and responsibly to achieve strategic objectives. “I strongly believe that President Muhammadu Buhari is being misled with negative and predetermined reports that continue to portray Nigeria as the most corrupt nation when he should be encouraged to address the current problems of weak Naira, fuel crises, poor electricity supply, skyrocketing costs of living among other economic challenges which are denting the image of the administration. President Buhari certainly does not need lies and distractive propaganda at this critical period. “Since the President is neither a god to be worshipped nor a devil to be feared, General Muhammadu Buhari deserves love and respect of the citizens through transparency and motivating demeanour which are characteristics of a compassionate leader. My position on incorruptibility and integrity of Buhari is an open secret through my writings over two decades, right from the university days. We stand for Buhari not out of fear as if every Nigerian is a criminal; we love and pray for his success as a national leader. We therefore urge the President to be wary of vested interests who are clearly capitalizing on his sincerity and trust for their own proxy wars. “We honoured the invitation to serve our nation out of patriotism and we dutifully provided our services as crisis communicators diligently and professionally. While acknowledging the moral supports and encouragement from critical stakeholders, we will continue to volunteer, support and render the services responsibly. We would never abandon our clients, partners and friends especially those who are unduly victimized and vilified.” “Meanwhile we will soon be in the court to clear our name from the unfortunate media trial of indictment that has been used consistently to unjustly rubbish reputations of institutions and individuals without following the rule of law or due process,” he said. Mr. Shuaibu said members of FOSSRA include spokespersons from Defence Headquarters (DHQ), Nigerian Army (NA), Nigerian Airforce (NAF), Nigerian Navy (NN), Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA), Department of State Security Service (DSS), the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigerian Prison Service (NPS), National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Federal Fire Service (FFS), Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC).
