CrimeSelfie Saves Innocent Man Facing 99 Years In Jail by Riccotrixx(op): 7:23am On Nov 18, 2018
A 22-year-old Texas based man has been proven innocent of a crime he did not commit after a selfie saved him

It was gathered that the young man identified as Christopher Precopia was set up by his ex lover and could have spent 99 years of his life behind bars sae for the selfie he took on the night he was alleged to hae committed the crime

Christopher Precopia was in shock when the police showed up unannounced at his place of work on September 2017 to arrest him over a case of burglary with the intent to commit other crimes

He was immediately taken to Williamstown County Jail and released only after his family posted a $150,000 bond

Precopia later found out his ex-girlfriend from high school had gone to the cops with a fabricated tale alleging that Precopia broke into her home in Temple and sliced an X into her chest with a box cutter because she had a rocky relationship with him several years earlier.

Upon inestigation, it was discovered that the night of the alleged attack, Precopia was actually 65 miles away at a hotel in Austin with his mom, Erin Precopia.

Luckily, he decided to take a selfie of himself with his family that evening, which he posted on social media.

Reacting to the incident, Erin Precopia said;

“By the grace of God, the accuser said it happened on the day when I can say totally, 100%, where he was at,”

Police were forced to finally dropped the charges against him nine months after his arrest, when his lawyer, Rick Flores, took the alibi evidence to Bell County prosecutors.

PoliticsBedc MD Throws More Than Half Of Edo State Residence In Total Blackout . by Riccotrixx(op): 12:49pm On Nov 14, 2018
___angered Funke throws more than half of Benin City into darkness for over 8 days and still counting.
___boasts of buying PHCN for eternity and that nothing anybody can do about it.

Not many of us understands the core of our agitations against the sack of Funke Osibudu led management team for over five years now. The incessant protests by members of Edo Civil Society Organisations at any given given opportunity goes beyond the non provision of meters, lack of transformers, intimidation of customers using the military and police, estimated and crazy billing among other issues that have been raised overtime.

Funke and her team have subjected the people of Edo, Delta, Ondo and Ekiti states to untold hardship and suffering due to her own preferred style of business model. It should be recalled, she was the managing director of Union Bank Plc as at the time it encountered serious setback which the bank is yet to recover from till date.

Recently, the Performance Agreement of ten out of the eleven DISCOs was to come to an end on the 31st of October, 2018 after a five year operation. The Bureau of Public Procurement and the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission surreptitiously planned an extension with one year which the civil society resisted with a five day well mobilised protests at the Benin NERC Forum Office.

The reaction from the managment of the Benin Electricity Distribution Company to the protests by the civil society was that, there is no renewal of any licence whatsoever, they went further in their statement to affirm that the defunct PHCN had been sold to them for eternity. In other words, they have bought and paid and that we have no choice than to accept whatever they decide to do with it.
Now, what Funke does is to take little power from the Transmission Company of Nigeria while rejecting the allocated power that will improve supply. She ensures that the entities and individuals on her SPECIAL LINES gets up to 20 hours daily while people in communities and made to share 2-3 hours daily. What matters to her is huge profit and not service delivery. Access to electricity is everybody's right and must not be done by discretion by anybody offering such an important public service.
Here comes the time not to leave this battle for the civil society alone because, from the foregoing, it is a battle she has put up with the people. This is a strong call to the governors of her franchise states, unions, associatons, traditional rulers, communities and all well meaning citizens must rise up to this challenge in ensuring that whatever their plans are to further plunge us into pains and sufferings is defeated by our collective will.
Funke and her management team must be sent parking in order for us enjoy any form of improvement in electricity supply. BEDC is the worse of all DISCOs and must not continue under Funke and her team.
THIS IS A BATTLE TO FINISH. NO RETREAT, NO SURRENDER.
FUNKE MUST GO!

HealthDoctor Removes 15 Years Worth Of Wax From A Patient Ear. by Riccotrixx(op): 2:29pm On Nov 11, 2018
If you’ve ever gotten water in your ear, you know how uncomfortable it can be. Not only does it affect your hearing, it can also cause minor pain and discomfort.

One woman in Vietnam was so scared of getting water in her ears that she didn’t clean them — for 15 years. Eventually, the wax buildup began to affect her hearing.

When she went to a doctor at a clinic in Phu Tho Province to tell him about her hearing loss, he took a look in her ears. The amount of wax he saw was astounding.

The doctor, Tuan, immediately got to work removing the wax from the woman’s ear. He used a hook-like device to scrape out as much wax as possible.

With a tiny camera, the doctor filmed the process.

In the video, you can hear the woman making noises — apparently the procedure hurt a bit. Luckily, the entire process only took four minutes. By the end of the few minutes, the doctor managed to completely remove the buildup of wax and dirt.

There’s no doubt this woman will be able to hear much better now that her ear canal isn’t totally clogged. She might be surprised by how loud things are now!

PoliticsHe Saved The World – This Man Refused To Launch Nuclear Missiles. by Riccotrixx(op):
North America has often painted Russia as an enemy of epic proportions. Today it is Vladimir Putin who is vilified. There is some justification for this, of course when one thinks of his annexation of Crimea. But in the 1960s, the Cuban Missile Crisis took America and Russia’s (then the USSR) antagonism to a whole new and dangerous level.

It’s commonly assumed that the crisis was avoided because U.S. President, John F. Kennedy, and Russian leader, Nikita Khrushchev, used all their diplomatic powers to avert nuclear war. That’s what is written in the history books.

But the reality is more opaque and complex. In truth, the war was deflected because one Russian naval officer had not only a conscience but also a family back in Moscow he longed to see. President Kennedy signs the Proclamation for Interdiction of the Delivery of Offensive Weapons to Cuba.

Deputy Commander Vasili Arkhipov was a veteran leader in the Soviet Navy. He was aboard a nuclear submarine, the K-19, in July, 1961, when its cooling system malfunctioned. Men had to contain its leak to avoid a major nuclear accident, but eight of them died from radiation poisoning.

Arkhipov was given a medal by his country in recognition of his bravery and calm in the situation, but it was a sight he could never forget. Such a horrible event was etched onto Arkhipov’s memory. It would serve him well – and save the lives of many people – in the coming months.

When his government decided to build a nuclear base in Cuba in 1962, Arkhipov understood the move’s potential consequences. It could be a disaster for his countrymen and for the Americans, who did not want the base built. In October, President Kennedy became furious at what he felt was a blatant provocation by the Russians. On October 15, the Cuban Missile Crisis began.

The Soviet government sent four Foxtrot submarines to Cuba. Each had a captain and a political officer, but the man ultimately in charge was Arkhipov. All the submarines were diesel powered, best suited to the temperatures in Arctic waters. They made it to the Caribbean, on October 14, when tropical storm Ella was churning the sea. It wasn’t long before the air conditioning system failed and the climate in the subs began to climb to suffocating levels.

On October 15, Soviet officials ordered them to head for the Sargasso Sea, but it was too late. Kennedy had ordered Cuba quarantined, and gone to DEFCON 3 – a historic step in America’s preparation for war.

Meanwhile, Arkhipov and his crews were receiving no word from Moscow. They began to wonder whether what they were hearing on American broadcasts could be true. They heard the news of planes and warships arriving in the area, of a U.S. invasion of Cuba in the offing, and that America was at DEFCON 2, the last stage in preparation for nuclear war.

The fleet of subs tried to avoid detection by the Americans, but on October 27, the USS Cony spotted them. More arsenal arrived, everyone had a finger poised over a “launch” button, but miraculously no one fired.

Kennedy didn’t know that the subs hadn’t heard from Moscow, so the U.S. ships began lambasting the subs with sonar. This is analogous to being inside an oil drum and someone hammering on it, making it impossible to think.

Then the Americans began heaving practice grenades in the sea. They were awaiting a flare from the Russians, a signal asking for permission to surface, which was their protocol, but not that of the Soviets. According to Russian Navy guidelines, they should have dropped three charges and waited for a response. It was as though the two sides were playing a game of “chicken,” but in different languages and with different rules.

We now know that Kennedy didn’t realize the Russians were authorized to launch their arsenals. But would he have handled the matter differently if he had known?

To launch missiles, the submarine captains needed permission from the fleet commander: Arkhipov. Although others believed it was time to attack America, Arkhipov refused, remembering the calamity of watching those eight men die on the K-19. He stood firm and would not agree, in spite of the enormous pressure.

His men were in desperate need of air and supplies, so finally, they contacted American officials, who gave them permission to surface. Once the situation was diffused and the men taken care of, the submarines headed back to Moscow.

Instead of being hailed as a hero for averting a war, Arkhipov was told by his government he should have died for his country.

It took 55 years for Arkhipov’s contribution to the peaceful solution to the crisis to be fully recognized. In 2017, he posthumously received the “Future of Life” Award, bestowed by the American Future of Life Institute. It was granted for a “heroic act that has greatly benefited mankind.” His granddaughter, Elena Andriukova, accepted it on the family’s behalf.

Elena told The Guardian: “he always thought that he did what he had to do, and never considered his actions as heroism. He… knew what kind of destruction can come from radiation. He did his part for the future so that everyone can live on our planet.”

BusinessEcowas Single Currency Logo Competion Closes Nov.20 by Riccotrixx(op): 10:11am On Nov 11, 2018
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Wednesday announced that entry for the competition on the ECOWAS single currency name and logo  will close on 20 November 2018.

The competition which generally aims to receive proposals on the name and visual design of the future ECOWAS currency will select three best proposals for the name of the future currency and three best proposals for the logo of the currency.

The adoption of a single currency is necessary for the implementation of a monetary integration goal of West African states by year 2020.

Although economic experts and leaders, including Nigeria president Muhammadu Buhari have kicked against a speedy implementation of a single currency, in view of the low level of preparedness amongst many countries in the region, others such as Nana Akufo-Addo, the Ghanaian president, has been quoted as saying member states should ensure that the single currency be introduced by year 2020.

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and currently the traditional ruler of the emirate of Kano, had earlier in the year said that “before member states begin to move forward on a single currency, traffic and trade must be improved“.

He further noted: “The transaction costs that you save and losing monetary independence do not justify a single currency if the trade is less than 10 percent among member countries”.

Meanwhile the CBN stated that the best three proposals for both the single currency name and logo attracts an award of $10,000, $8,000 and $5,000 for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd best proposals respectively.

The competition is open to all citizens of ECOWAS member states regardless of their place of residence and legal persons established in an ECOWAS member state in line with its laws.

Other conditions indicated in the terms of reference for the competition published on the official website of the CBN further specifies that the proposals for the single currency name meet the following requirements.

“It shall not be based on the name of a person, ethnic group or contain expressions directly linked with a religion, country or national institution; that it shall reflect the values of community unity and solidarity as well as the vision of ECOWAS founding fathers and shall reflect the shared cultural and historical value of ECOWAS.”

For the single currency logo, the required specifications states that “it shall reflect the people’s aspirations contained in the ECOWAS Vision 2020; that it shall not be confused with or have a graphic link with existing logos, symbols and national emblems of religious images or symbols.

Last night someone tried to assassinate Tekashi 6ix9ine, and possibly Kanye West as they filmed a video in Los Angeles. Tekashi's crew rented the $80 million estate which was supposed to be the backdrop for the music video for one of the songs on his new album...
The two rappers were filming a video for a song with Nicki Minaj in Los Angeles - inside a Beverly Hills mansion. And members of a Los Angeles gang pulled up, and started shooting.
Tekashi has been engaged in a public beef with many Los Angeles gang members. And he's been asking them to "pull up". Well last night they did, and someone nearly lost their life.
