It's very bad and too sad that people are dying daily, families are crying because their loved ones have been kidnapped and they have no resource to pay for ransom yet the only thing our youth does is to come online to support and defend politicians who have failed in their primary duties. |
Lots of people and students who have been kidnapped didn't make it back to their families. A lot have their daughters married away to bandits. Niger state govt has said times without number that some local govt are under bandits control.. Bauchi state govt have said same thing. Yet our security forces have not launched massive operation to recover those local govt. It's not as if those areas are border town with another country o.... But these are towns within the center of Nigeria, yet there is no operation to displace those bandits. |
The security situation is becoming so bad now, and a responsible govt is supposed to tackle this issue first before any other thing. People are getting kidnapped daily and our security seems not to be proactive about it. If the securities can't go after the kidnappers, then govt should line up soldiers on all our roads to atleast stop the kidnappers from carrying out their act since they can't go after the criminals. Modified.... Just check out this link and see the type of country that we are leaving in https://www.nairaland.com/2239266/battle-field-discussion-picture-video/2171#125850030 |
Just yesterday, the wife of a friend of mine was kidnapped along with their driver, leaving their 3 children on the road unattended to. They were returning from their journey to the north and before they could get to Abuja, they were attacked and the driver alongside his wife were taken away leaving the car and kids on the highway. Probably they taught the driver was the husband. It was a good Samaritan that found them and called the police before the husband was contacted. We are waiting for the kidnappers to contact the family as they are yet to hear from them. |

Sex before marriage is mainly the cause of high rate of infidelity we have currently.... There is no way that you as a man or woman having slept with multiple partners before marriage will now think that you will remain faithful to your married partner. Only about two percent of people can stay faithful. Stay away from sex till marriage. That's the best thing that you can do for Yourself. And believe me, the moment you are celibate, people who are celibate too will be attracted to you and that's how you will get your partner. Forget all those who keep saying that their is no virgin man or woman, it's a lie... Virgins plenty for this country, na just your life style dey attract bad people to yourself. |
Human selfishness and regional politics contributed to why we have many churches. But in Nigeria it's mainly because of lack of job that's why you see churches springing up every corner. But my annoyance is that.... Christianity in Nigeria and to a large extent in Africa is becoming a joke because of Pentecostal churches. Pentecostal churches messed up Christianity big time, now churches are more of party than a religious place. |
I do not think there is anything wrong in plaiting of hair. |
Like is not always as you see it. Behind someone who you see to be jobless for a long time, is a tale of struggles, pushing, striving and lots of embarrassment. Though there are exceptions but e no easy my brother. |
The difference is that Seyi Tinubu did not have any direct connection to OBEDIENTS. |
Forumobserver12:It's just wickedness... Cos even if someone is incompetent, his advisers is supposed to put him in the right direction. |
In anything you do as a hustling and upcoming guy, plz stay away from women. One single mistake and boom ... Your life is ruined. See how the Spanish FA president ended up disgraced. Am pretty sure that both of them have something together but in a bid to defend her slutiness, she crying harrasment. |
Another reason why one need to jakpa... |
It's obvious that any governor who didn't perform in his state intentionally did not want to work. |
To avoid all these embarrassment, him for kuku carry him seat come. So it would have been just a matter of drop and sit, no need for checking. |
Bringbackmandat:Imagine the country that we are in |
If you want to wear any religious symbols of your choice, establish your own school and wear what ever you like. Stop going to other people's school that already have a laid down dressing code and start forcing yourself on them. Oh.... First of all, start by allowing isese worshipers to do their thing in Kwara first before coming out to complain. |
Religion fighting for a right that they themselves won't gv others who come to their land. Some people migrated to other people's land and started shouting that their religious symbols is offensive to them. But in their own land, you can't even talk, how much more to complain about their own religious symbols. It doesn't take rocket science to know the religion am talking about. |
I think it's high time we ban post that makes marriage look bad in this forum. You guys are turning our young ones away from marriage. If you do the right thing and lay the right foundation from the onset, your marriage will be a lovely one. |
Things are seriously expensive in this country. People are going through a lot and there seem not be no hope on sight. Just to make tea for one person will cost roughly 600 how much more for a family. |
Nokio2:We don't want sentiment here. |
helinues:This is something our govt need to start putting into consideration.... No one prays for disaster but not been prepared to handle one is a greater disaster in it self. |
Nigerians generally are good people. It's our politicians desperate for power that make them to invent tactics and words to divide us. Unfortunately the youth of these days are following the politicians hook line and sinker. That's too bad. |
Na wa o.... All these G G G countries self. Wetin people dey gain from am, of not to waste tax payers money on traveling. Soon we will be hearing G1000+ countries. |
Jashub:It's too bad that a nation like Nigeria is still battling with issues of governance. |
Nbote:It's even more sad that other African countries are even more prepared to face something like this than us. |
Day169:Really pathetic. A lot need to be done |
Revolution2022:I heard the news. Imagine asking communities to relocate when you didn't provide alternative for them. So those who don't have relatives outside the communities, what will they do. |
Sharpsharp00123:Wetin bring tribe come this matter now. Seriously, some of you are beyond redemption. |

See what a governor is doing in about 100 days... It goes to show that any governor that is not working in Nigeria made a deliberate choice not to work, not because there is any contraint. After Alex Otti won election, I happen to know one of the person who was among the transition committee and the person told me that their plan is to first of all build road and clean up the state before starting any other thing. Lo and behold, they are doing it. It means from the onset, they already have a plan of what to do. So any gov that is not working decided not to work or is clueless abt been a governor. |
Warning... This is not a post about political leadership or religion/tribe. Plz do not derail. The earthquake in Morocco is all over the news already. The figures so far is that more than 2000 people have died and lots of houses destroyed. Rescue operations is ongoing. We have seen earthquake that affected Turkey and Syria, we all saw how devastating it was. Some of us can still remember the human and material destruction caused by Tsunami about 10 years ago. Now my question is.... As Nigeria is now, can we successfully manage a natural disaster like earthquake. If what happened in Morocco happen in Nigeria, can our govt respond appropriately to save life. Can our govt be able to provide logistics in a matter of hours for those who survived but have their homes destroyed. Do our govt have emergency and heavy equipment that will help in digging out survivors. Do we have ambulances that will be sufficient to ferry people to hospital. Are our hospital capacity enough to manage and cater for the number of victims and fatalities that will come their way. The doctors and nurses, have they ever been trained on how to coordinate their self when a huge number of dead and wounded people are been brought into the hospital probably without asking for police report... ![]() ![]() Or is it business as usual where all man will be for himself.... Every family we be the one trying to rescue their loved ones and taking them to hospital where they can afford. |
