It's unfortunate as yesterday could have been the most historic date in Nigeria. Why? If the like of 10 suicide bombers storm the event place and detonate themselves, the rest could have been history
Virtually all enemies of Nigeria assembled in Minna, we called them the Landlords. They all deserve to be eliminated
Well, better days ahead |

THE DAY NIGERIA LANDLORDS GATHERED IN MINNA
Someone said if you weren't in Minna yesterday for IBB's daughter's wedding, you are just a tenant in Nigeria. . The landlords gathered to wine and dine. Someone complained about the number of private jets flown into the city yesterday as the Abuja-Minna road isn't motorable. . Someone also wondered why suicide bombers ignored these enemies of Nigeria and decided to attack University of Maiduguri, a citadel of learning where dreams are being built and nurtured. . Someone somewhere close to the wedding venue said he strained his eyes looking for the leaking PDP umbrella and the tiny APC broom yesterday and had to go home disappointed when he saw all of them hugging and smiling without talking about their parties. . Another one, a popular PDP apologist in Enugu, broke down in tears yesterday. He saw 'Bola Tinubu, the man behind his hero's political and electoral fate who still lambasted him days ago in Lagos, seated beside Goodluck Jonathan smiling sheepishly to the cameras. . Someone, an unrepentant APC loyalist, saw Ali Modu Sheriff and Ahmed Markafi stand together. He had always prayed for the total collapse of PDP. He couldn't eat yesternight anyway. . Someone watched Channels Television news and saw Governor Ganduje and his sworn enemy Kwankwaso seated inches apart. He is still praying to God to wake him from his nightmare. . Another one made sure he followed the news on radio waiting for any divisive religious matter to be raised only to hear voices of Bukola Saraki, a muslim, and Yakubu Dogara, a christian, screaming for those expensive wines. He is still changing stations with hopes. . Someone checked online media outlets yesternight and saw pictures of Yorubas, Hausas, Fulanis, Igbos all under one roof with their different tribal wears. There was no tribal statement. No tribal war. He broke the screen of his phone. . Here we are. . Continue defending these people who have divided you along religious, ethnic and tribal lines. . Continue with your gullibilty. Continue with your nonsense.

Politics › MKO @ 80: How Abiola Exchanged Physical Blows With Gen Muritala To Become Rich by richdaddy75(op): 7:06am On May 07, 2017 |
The history you are about to read below is officially compiled by: ™ and culled from; Naijarchives, Wikipedia and more.. www.takemetonaija.com/2016/02/historymko-abiola-biography-nigerian_8.html?m=1MKO Abiola was born in 1937 and will be 80yrs this year August. In 1956, he started work with Barclays Plc on Bank Road, Ibadan, Oyo State as a bank clerk (Dec1956-Dec 1958). He finally ended with ITT ( International Telephone and Telegraph Corporation) Corporation where he really hit it big. Abiola worked with ITT from 1969 to 1988. It started that the then General Murtala Muhammed became friends with MKO under very funny circumstances which will be explained shortly. In the year 1975, Murtala Muhammed became the Federal Commissioner (Minister) of Communications under the Yakubu Gowon government. Business had brought MKO Abiola and his military friend, General Murtala together. It was all about money o. Money would cause kasala. The Federal Government owed the company, International TT, the huge sum of N7,000,000 (seven million naira). For more than three and half years, they kept posting MKO Abiola and a dime was not paid to him. In trying to get his payment, MKO inadvertently clashed with his ferociously angry friend, General Murtala (who was then a Colonel in the Nigerian Army and was the Commander of the Signal Corps). The clash with Murtala, a man known for his volcanic temper and the anger of a nuclear weapon almost led to the two men exchanging blows. Murtala shouted and Abiola shouted back. The government would either pay him or two deadi bodies go meet Baba God. He would not leave that place until they paid him the money shangiliti. An incorrigibly stubborn Murtala had just met an equally tenaciously unwilling Abiola. Iron had just met iron and one has to bend… At that point, Hassan Umar Katsina, the Chief of Army Staff came in and intervened. The matter was settled and a cheque was issued to a jubilant MKO. An obstinate man of fire and steel himself, Murtala was impressed with the courage of this ‘bloody’ civilian who looked him in the eye and stood his ground. He was not even afraid of all the guns and soldiers. That was Abiola, he could be very fearless and stubborn, especially when it comes to what he strongly believed in. His courage would later lead to him giving the ultimate sacrifice for democracy to thrive in Nigeria. After the all the fury, the encounter came to a mild end. Abiola got his money and the duo became nice friends. Abiola’s warm relationship had started, and ironically, same was the trip to his own early grave. After that saga, MKO got the money and excitedly, he went to report to his ITT office. On getting to the office, he met his white boss dead drunk. He then called on a photographer and they snapped the drunk dude. Abiola got the photograph and headed straight for the New York headquarters of ITT. On getting there, he flipped out the cheque of seven million naira, brandished it before their faces and told his superiors that unless the drunk guy in the picture was sacked and replaced with him, he would there and then tear the cheque into pieces. . Ehn! The eyes of his superiors lit up! Yeepa! We are talking of 3.5 million pounds here and they were not going to lose that because of one intoxicated mugu, not the money that they’d be trying to get from the Nigerian military government for over three years. Sharp sharp, they recalled the white guy and MKO Abiola became the big boss. He had arrived. That's the genesis of his wealth..." Red detail from: ...... This is May, the month we celebrate Democracy in Nigeria. And we can't mention democracy in Nigeria and not remember Chief MKO Abiola's sacrifice. It's for the genuine reason I culled out this piece for remembrance. As he clocks 80 this year. Rest on MKO..

Some idiots claim PMB is a dullard, yet they also claim he had a thing with the kidnapping of the Chibok Girls! If he actually had a thing about the kidnapping, then he must indeed be the smartest person in the whole world to have been able to successfully play a sitting govt of GEJ, USA, Britain, France and many world powers.
Also, the INEFFECTUAL BUFFOON's campaign manager then, the loquacious FFK said their presidency had no evidence linking Buhari to the BH terrorists. Abi una think say we don forget, low lifers?
You blame him for swapping and paying for the release of the girls but your powder-filled brain won't let you know that it's a common practice in the whole world especially when many lives are involved. America, France, GB and many others have at one time or the other paid ransome to terrorists to have their citizens released. In fact the real Dullardinhoo Jonathan was scammed for such payment but with no results.
How confused and deluded can you then be to condemn PMB for doing everything possible to have those poor girls released from their captors?
And if you lose a goat you come online to wail? Surely you're worse than the devil for condemning this release. |

Breaking News:
It can be authoritatively affirmed that the health condition of President Buhari is becoming worrisome to the close cacaus of his cabinet and the family, most importantly the wife Aisha Buhari, as the most loyalists have resorted to admonishing Mr President to step aside to be able to concentrate on his health.
The privileged information gathered indicates that President Buhari Might resign in a couple of days as this may reflect in his May 29 Democracy Day Speech.
It's daily becoming conspicous that the health status of Mr President is no more fit to withstand the challenges of the office of the presidency, and as a result becomes reason why Mr President seems not to be available in most federal functions recently.
However, the resignation of Mr President makes Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo an automatic president of the federal republic of Nigeria. This contention has being generating much concerns among APC party members as to who becomes the vice president after President Buhari's resignation.

https://mobile.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1031184090359303&id=100004031644592&refid=7&__tn__=%2As PROSPECTUS FOR A NEW NIGERIA ------------------------------------------------------
For several decades now, especially ever since the return of democracy in 1999, the ceaseless efforts of many patriotic Nigerian leaders in tackling most critical challenges militating against the economic and security prosperity of the Nation are being ignorantly frustrated by Nigerian Constitution.
Anyone who grew up in Nigeria or temporarily lived here for an extended period of time, or who is presently residing in it will affirm that the same problem of 20yrs ago has grown to become a storm causing diverse unrest in the present societies, simply because we failed to do the right thing.
The present economic over-heating and the hardship we all face did not emanate overnight. The anomalies have its genesis traceable back to 1966 when the military forcefully ceased power and began manipulating our constitution. And ever since 1966, Nigerian Constitution remains the singular fundamental adversary to the prosperity of the country.
It's pathetic however, that Nigeria is one of the nations that still operate a kind of constitution that gives no vision for a better future; A constitution that is undemocratic; A constitution that is promoting corruption; A constitution that is rearing the poor to feed the rich; A constitution that has institutionalised tribalism; A constitution that humiliates the less privileged but pampers the elites.
Since 1914 when the Southern and Northern protectorates were amalgamated till 1963, Nigeria economy kicked off favourably with policies that alleviated poverty. Let's ask the likes of Obasanjo, Biyi Durojaiye, Danjuma, Gowon, Buhari, Shonekan and many others who were the living beneficiaries of those policies during that colonial era whether what they experienced then is same as today!
For the first 50 years of Nigeria (1914-1964) before the military involvements, Nigerian lives were secured, economy was buoyant, federalism was practised, marginalisation was not recorded, there were no protest and riots challenging the policies of the day. That was when Nigeria gained the title "THE GIANT OF AFRICA."
This is 2017, Nigeria in its 103 years of existence has gone through 10 constitutions in 1914, 1922, 1946, 1952, 1954, 1958, 1963, 1979, 1989 and 1999.
The worst of it is that the military-inspired 1999 Constitution which we still use till date has deviated from the spirit of the Nigerian Constitution as it emerged in our political culture following independence from colonial rule. 1999 constitution was a decree by the military government' with no regards to the people's feelings and aspirations.
The 1999 constitution must be scrapped. The reasons for doing so include the fact that it was not written by the representatives of Nigerians, and that what the framers of that constitution framed is a jumble of the various types of law.
1999 constitution is a decree that has no vision and plans for our diversities and rapid numerical expansion. It does not support resourse control. It's an imposed constitution by the military that promotes impunity. We are no more in Military era, we are practising democracy. It is time to have democratic constitution that will reverse the burden.
Over the past 56 years, Nigeria has seen the growth of a democratic deficit that has brought us to the brink of bankruptcy economically and politically. The urgent need for a new Nigeria is a call for a national sovereignty constitutional conference, to herald debate for a New Nigerian Constitution:
--where power decentralised --where political office becomes part-time --where constituency allowance scraped --where security vote scraped --where age limit for presidency & Governor --where States are empowered to build. refinery & power --where local government councils are given autonomy, empowered to perform more functions. --where house of representative chamber is scrapped and replaced with "Institute For Government Policy" --where religious organisations pay taxes and subject to government audit and regulations --where community policing is enforced --where judiciary system is reformed for timely justice delivery. --where there is capital punishment for looters.(Amputation)
RECOMMENDATION:
Having achieved all these, my further recommendation is the introduction of "the Institute for Government's Policy Making". This institute should replace FEC - Federal Executive Council.
The Institute of Government Policy Making should be saddled with responsibilities to deliberate, research, experiment, ionize, and galvanize best ideas with public interest as the priority. Irrespective of transition in government, the Policy’s team should comprise a staff of experts proficient in various complementary disciplines: politics, law, communications, education, economics, marketing and international relations.
Constitutionally, the appointment must not be politically influenced. They must be typical technocrats! The experts, men of vision and passion, who have zero tolerance for corruption and who are not politicians.
In this perspective, to emerge a New Nigeria, a New Constitution is paramount!
The time is now for a NEW NIGERIA.
God Bless Nigerians
Dr Saint |
