Nairaland General › Alarm: Open Letter To Senator Buruji Kasham by richdaddy75(op): 11:55pm On Apr 04, 2017 |
I came across this on facebook and I judiciously deem it worthy to bring it here for Sons and Daughters of the town to be aware. MOD pls do justice, Bravo! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1015923838551995&id=100004031644592&p=34&av=100004031644592&refid=52---------------------------------------------------- Open Letter To Senator Buruji Kasham . By Dr Saint Today: Mon; April 3rd, 2017 ----------------------------------------------------- The Honourable Senator, . 23 YEARS OF IJEBU IGBO WITHOUT KING . I am compelled to write this open letter to you because of the state of affairs of the Ijebu-Igbo town. . Firstly, I wish to acknowledge that fate has enthroned you in a prime position that could enable you to determine to a large extent the direction Ijebu Igbo affairs could go since your attainment as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. . The indisputable truth is that some may quarrel with your style of politics but your sagacity is never in doubt. Even those who don't see eye to eye with you agree that you are imbued with unusual native intelligence, uncommon people skills and unrivaled foresight. You, more than any other person in Ijebu land, have been the game changer in politics since you returned home years back. It is for these reasons that I have chosen to direct this letter to you, Sir. . My singular purpose is to tug at the strings of your hearts. I am not writing to appeal for partisan considerations but to see, if per chance, I can pour out my heart to you in a manner of speaking. . God has blessed you even beyond your wildest imagination politically. You have installed Governors, Senators, Reps, LG Chairmen, Councilors, and Sir, I'm so optimistic that it's ripped time for you to install KING as well. . Though not everything you wished for in this world that you have gotten, God in his infinite mercies have made you successful. Fortune has smiled on you. Goodwill follows you everywhere you go. You have done very well- more than those politicians the ijebu igbo town has produced. For this cogent reason I hereby crave your indulgence to make a history by appeasing the kingship conflicts as regards Orimolusi of Ijebu Igbo. . It's indeed very expedient to make you know that 23yrs of vacant throne of Orimolusi has contributed woefully to the under development and economic hardship that is chastising the town in this present. democratic dispensation. . In history, this is about the 2nd time the town would be without a monarch. The first was in 1914-1929 when the then monarch died shortly after ascending the throne. This incident led to a loss of interest in the throne and lasted for 15 years until the people cried out to the then British Colonial government for intervention. And now for another 23 years, it calls for a revisit! . The last King Oba Adetayo died in 1994 exactly a year after Chief MKO Abiola visited the town for presidential campaign in 1993 with donation of N50Millions to build Oba palace. That was the era the prestige of the town was commanding honour and value. . Ijebu Igbo is the home town of many illustrous men and women dead and living. The town that has produced Senators, Deputy Governor and great business tycoons. People like the late Abraham Adesanya, Sen Biyi Durojaiye, Micheal Adenuga (GLO), Prof. Babatunde Oshotimehin, Sen. Lekan Mustapha, Sen Kaka, Dr Ademola Babajide etc. I believe this town would have been more developed than this if there had been a king to harmonise and motivate reputable and established Sons and Daughters both ahome and diaspora to salvage the historic town from the brink of extinction. . The selection of a successor after the death of Oba Ikupakode led to serious divisions. It tore the quiet town into half and divided the citizens so much that they were unable to speak with one voice, at least as far as the monarchy issue was concerned. . The most shameful side of the story is the abandoned magnificent Orimolusi palace which has now become an eye sore. The big palace which was once the envy of other neigbouring towns has been abandoned and deserted; it is today a home for wild plants! Trees have sprouted from its walls! The palace that once played hosts to the high and mighty of society, both from home and abroad, has almost turned to an animal pen where all sundry animals go to sleep at night. The once beautiful and massive gate has fallen apart, thus every being has free access to its once hallowed chambers. The palace has become a meeting point for the okada riders. . However, Gov Ibikunle Amosun visited the town shortly after the birth of his administration and admonished the townsfolk demanding for Oba to tell contenders to the throne to resolve their differences amicably and to also withdraw all pending court cases in respect of the Orimolusi stool as the state government would neither impose an Oba on the town nor install one in defiance of pending legal dispute over the throne. . Also, giving insight into the government’s position, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Basorun Muyiwa Oladipo, said the pending appeal on the matter tied the hands of the Amosun’s administration which would not take any step in contravention of the Rules of Law. . Oladipo said: “There was a judgment at the Court of Appeal in Ibadan that favoured one of the contestants in 2012. But that judgment had been appealed against at the Supreme Court and until after the determination of the case, we can’t do anything about the installation of the new Orimolusi. . But with the Supreme Court being the final temple to seek justice, it is expected that the forthcoming verdict of the highest court in the land whichever way it tilts to, the town would accept it and move on. But ever since then, no favourable report to rejoice about as the town is at the brink of rotting away in our eyes. . Sir, I advocate for your noble intervention towards installation of an Oba for the stool of Orimolusi with a call on the feuding royal families to sheath their daggers and be patriotic to the historic town for posterity sake. Central Oba is needed to provide the leadership and drive required to wake the ancient town up from its socio-economic doldrums and position her on the path of peace, unity and progress given its human and natural potentials. . Conclusively, I, at this crucial moment deem it that if there is anyone who has the capacity and influence to still the storm about the town's current kingship predicament, that person is you. This should be the legacy you should think of. This kind legacy will speak volume of your posterity. . Yours Very Sincerely, Dr Saint https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1015923838551995&id=100004031644592&p=34&av=100004031644592&refid=52

It's unconstitutional for a school principal to suspend the teacher who works under him. NASS suspension of its member is a show of shame, describing the legislators as lawbreakers. Sen Ndume raised an objection in the chamber based on the allegation received, called on the House to investigate. The fact that the allegation was proved wrong does not mean he should be suspended.
This to me means a threat to silence any attempt for whistle blower to unveil their secrets.

Politics › SHOCKING - Is Nigerian Senate Now Saraki's Senate? by richdaddy75(op): 9:57am On Mar 28, 2017 |
Nigerian Senate now Saraki's Senate?
1. Larmorde attempted to arraign Saraki's wife and he was surmoned to appear before the Senate. I'm sure you know the rest.
2. Saraki was arraigned before CCB and swiftly the Chairman was surmoned and even attempts were made to change laws governing CCB. Just because of Saraki
3. The AGF initiated the arraignment of Saraki on forgery case and immediately he was also surmoned to appear before the Senate.
4. Won't bore you with the Magu's story. But we all know how far
5. Almighty Saraki also decided to ride a #300m Range Rover but "common" Ali, the CG crossed his path by asking for the payment of the right duty. We all know what wearing of "Uniform" caused in the Senate.
5. Lest I forget, the SGF truthfully made it known that the constituency projects will not be executed by the Senate since that is not their constitutional responsibility. Haaaaaa he was again surmoned as usual to come and explain his "grass cutting" assignment and inflation of contract.
Hmmmmmmm the big questions are (1) Is the Nigerian Senate now Saraki's Senate? (2)Is Saraki acting on behalf of Nigerians or on his own behalf? (3)Must Saraki continue to be holding Nigeria to ransom as he did in Kwara? (4)Is it not high time we called this bully to order by telling him that if Kwara State has been turned into the personal property of the Sarakis, Nigeria is not. Probably he is living in the world of illusion.

I can tell you that the WAEC result presented by Dino was a fake one...
He said he wrote the exam in 1992-the same year I wrote mine...The grading system as at 1992 then was A..C..P..and F....
Dino Melaye claimed he had B3 in a certain subject...where did he get that from?
Because the B grading was introduced in 1998 or there about and this is an indication that he carries fake results all aboutm
Also, he had only 3 credits, how manage was he able to get the admission into ABU?
We all know our country where anything goes

Christianity Etc › Re: Christians Prayers Compare To Muslim Prayers: Are They To Same God? by richdaddy75(op): 6:54am On Feb 27, 2017 |
Mr Man, you can't compare Nigerian christians to the others in the world. The manner Christians in advanced countries pray is different to how Nigerian Christians operate. I've been there and saw the difference myself.
Here in Nigeria christianity is a scam. The point to note is this, in 2016, pastors deceived their members that if they don't pray they can make any achievement in the year. From Jan to Dec, it was marathon prayers all through. A visit MFM will prove this assertion right for you.
Now, 90% of those who spent the whole 2016 in prayer remain in same situation, no record of any achievement, no progress. Upon all revival meeting, crusades, vigil, fasting and prayers...all same.
Imagine two neighbours, one christian other muslim. At the end of 2016, the Muslim had tangible achievement but the other who spent the whole year attending prayer meetings never had any thing to point to as year achievement. |

Omudia: You are very foolish...
Now let me educate you, Chtistians dont shout at God, we only command the devil since we have power over him.
Muslims in their mosques pray for christians and jews to die. They pray for sickness and diseases to befall christians and Jews but remember God made a promise to Abraham saying "whosoever blesses you (Abraham shall be blessed and whosoever curses you shall be cursed); that s why all the evil prayers of Muslims have ricocheted back to them.
Nigerian Christians cannot in a million years be on the same pedestal with the Muslim counterpart who are backward in every ramification of life. Is it in education, science and innovation, sports, entertainment, arts? Lol I want to believe you're joking. |

The point of the thread is:
While Muslim only recite or read or speak prayers, 0hristians shout at God. Commanding God and satan. Infact this habitual trait is always funny to me.
Christians in Nigeria have been binding satan since 1914 and yet I never woke up one day to see the street littered with corpses of the witches and wizzard.
Christians' style is warfare while Muslim takes prayer life so simple.
Yet, upon all the prayers of christians in Nigeria, Muslim are recorded as more successful people in Nigeria |
Christianity Etc › Christians Prayers Compare To Muslim Prayers: Are They To Same God? by richdaddy75(op): 12:40pm On Feb 26, 2017*. Modified: 3:10pm On Feb 26, 2017 |
Christianity and Islam are two major recognised religions in Nigeria who preach same ONE GOD.
But I always got confused about God when I see Christians and Muslims praying to God.
When you watch christians praying to God, you will be amazed to think if Muslim also pray to same God.
Presently, special prayer is going on live in Kaduna State for President Buhari.
Most muslim clerics' style of prayer is different from their other counterpart.
Christians style of prayer is warfare, commanding God and killing the satan.
But upon all the prayers, Muslims arerecorded as more successful in Nigeria.

Nairaland General › OPINION: A Dollar At N516 Parallel, What's Responsible? by richdaddy75(op): 6:42pm On Feb 17, 2017 |
NAIRA'S DEPRECIATION: What's responsible? . The Nigerian Naira, quite obviously, has been depreciating steadily against major currencies (dollar, pounds, etc) of the world over the past few decades. . In the early 80’s one naira was approximately two dollars . In the early 90’s it had fallen to N10 per dollar and by year 2000 it has grown over a hundred naira to one dollar. . Currently, the currency exchanges today at N 516 at parallel market to the dollar. Why? . Some financial experts assert the reason for depreciation to be Nigerians' dependence on importation. Due to the unbalance of import to exported goods, the demand for dollar is always on the rise, which generally causes a continued depreciation of the naira. Says expert . Depreciation is steadfast at the parallel market and the gap between naira’s value at the parallel and official market widens easily due to this imbalance. . To checkmate this, the CBN has devalued the currency a number of times, only for the same thing to happen years later. This trend has continued and is continuing creating unbearable economic hardship to Nigerians. . With all sincerity, the Federal Government seems to have expended all prudence at their disposal to avert this anomaly. . What do you think is the way out? . Let's be concerned as patriotic citizens. If it continues like this, by december a dollar may exchange for N1000. ..... What is your own SUGGESTION? God Bless Nigeria |

We women are so special because being that things are hard on us than on men as it is, we still manage to succeed in life. We are special because we bring people into the world. . We are the ones that shape the world. We are special because we are strong enough not to fall apart because of the inequality that we receive. We are not treated as equally as men are. . An example of that are salaries. Women tend to get less pay than men doing the same thing, but we're strong enough to hang in there and still reach our goals.
