PoliticsREMINISCING: How US Mastermind Nigeria's Destruction With IBB! by richdaddy75(op): 3:39pm On Jan 23, 2017
//www.newsrescue.com/2010/06/nigerias-ex-president-
babangida-cia-ruthless-murder-loot-and-more/

Mobutu Seseseko tyrannically ran Congo aground for three
[3] decades killing and maiming his countrymen and women
with impunity, US did nothing to stop him because he was a
CIA agent, servicing and protecting America’s strategic
interests, reports say. From authoritative source Republic
Report gathered that, “US government is “positioning
Ibrahim B. Babangida to return to power by any means
necessary” come 2011”.

According to impeccable source, “CIA was partly to blame for overthrowing Buhari/Idiagbon regime in 1985”. RR learned that Buhari/Idiagbon military regime was too patriotic about everything and anything Nigeria in the “eyes of Americans”.

Sources told RR that Buhari/Idigbon regime, “refused and
rejected anything foreign interventions, refused to
compromise Nigerian national interest to any foreign
interests in any form or shape”, not “even to the secret
intelligence agencies like CIA, KGB or MASSAD”. RR gathered
that “their administration rejected IMF and World Bank”
contraptions called Loans, etc” because they believe taking
foreign loans automatically mortgages the well-being of
unborn children of Nigerian families.

Then enter Ibrahim B. Babangida “Evil Genius”; on his [IBB]
watch, Nigeria quickly became an institutionalized 419 state,
characterized with lawlessness and colossal greed.
Corruption was openly celebrated, through lies and secrecy
Nigeria was sneaked through the back door to become a
member of Organization of Islamic Countries [OIC], yes,
through the back door, IBB collected dubious loans from
IMF and World Bank, with all her criminal conditionalities.
We are not even talking about unaccounted $13. 4 billion
Gulf-War oil wind-fall. Second in Command to IBB,
Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe [rtd] unceremoniously quit military career because SMC was never consulted, and, never authoritized OIC-Membership. State organized crimes
became rampant, plane crash killed over 256 military
officers of Southern extraction, in Jaji, and many other
killings took place during his era, in fact, killing became
societal ethics and norm.

RR learned that Dele Giwa and other respected journalists in
the country and respected military officers were
assassinated by IBB killing machineries, because they had
damning information on IBB and cronies, and were readying to make these secretes public, including IBB networks of international cocaine trafficking, etc. Orji Kalu reports say was, “recruited by IBB into the CIA gang” but something happened down the line and things didn’t work-out for the duo as planned, A situation that ratcheted a chain reaction that brought Nigeria to unending mess she found her today.

Former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida and
officials of the United States of America (USA) met for almost two hours in Minna, the Niger State capital, on Wednesday. The meeting was held behind closed doors with the Assistant Secretary of State for Africa Matters, Mr. Jonnie Carson, and the American Ambassador to Nigeria, Ms Robin Sanders, in attendance.

On arrival at the IBB residence, the former military
president, who had been waiting for the visitors, ushered
them into his office where the meeting was held.
Newsmen were not allowed to either speak with the envoys
or the former military president before and after the
meeting because the Assistant Secretary of State did not
want the visit in the press. Journalists were walked out of the IBB mansion so that they would not be within listening
distance or position to take pictures.

However, a top aide of General Babangida told the Nigerian
Tribune that the visit was “a condolence and private visit.”
According to the aide, Mr. Carson is a personal friend of
General Babangida and he visited the former first lady twice
when she was in hospital in California.

The killing by a letter bomb of Dele Giwa, a magazine editor
critical of Babangida’s administration at his Lagos home in
1986, remains a controversial incident to this day.
In 1999, President Olusegun Obasanjo established the
Human Rights Violation Investigation Commission headed
by Justice Chukwudifu Oputa to investigate human rights
abuses during Nigeria’s decades of military rule.

However, Babangida repeatedly defied summons to appear
before the panel to answer allegations of human rights
abuses and questioned both the legality of the commission
and its power to summon him.

The Oputa Panel Report would conclude that “On General
Ibrahim Babangida, we are of the view that there is evidence to suggest that he and the two security chiefs, Brigadier General Halilu Akilu and Col. A. K. Togun are accountable for the death of Dele Giwa by letter bomb.
We recommend that this case be re-opened for further
investigation in the public interest. Babangida and the CIA
That corruption is the source of all our problems, from
insecurity, to poverty, to our underdevelopment and
everything else is not news anymore either in Nigeria or to
foreigners. However I wish more journalists would put
extreme pressure on the looting and stealing political
“elites” to save our dear country. There are certainly many
patriotic and honest Nigerians who mean well for our dear
country. There are some very good journalists who could
use words to convey strong messages that could educate the public of the true enemies of Nigeria.

My sincere belief is that it is easy to govern Nigeria, if three
essential ingredients of nation-building were honestly and
determinedly addressed – Patriotism, Corruption and
Enforcement of the Written Laws of the Land. Lack of any of
these reinforces the other and addressing any of them
addresses the others automatically. The bane of Nigeria’s
problems is the almost complete lack of patriotism,
especially among the thieving “elites”, which in turn,
provides the fertile grounds for corruption. When I was in
Lagos in 2007, one look at the traffic situation informed me
that 98% of the traffic jams in Lagos is caused by human
factor. Essentially, the lack of enforcement of the laws
guiding road use, again due to corruption!...

The Chief Priest in his new year traditional prayer for the community and Nigeria, emphasized more in prayer to avert the vision of death hovering over our dear president

The priest eventually stated that if only he could set eyes on Mr President physically, as many who wish him dead will die before him

Tittos:
In terms of influence. The power of a vice president is restricted to what power the president allocates to him. That of the Senate President is massive. He controls the only seat of power that can legally dethrone or even frustrate the President. A president needs just the Senate president to remove his vice, the president cannot easily remove a debate president, unless the s.p is very unpopular. The only advantage the V.P has over the S.P is that he is next in line to be the President in the event the president is out.

Happy Sunday great Nairalanders,

It's never an understatement for anyone who needs knowledge to seek it...

I need to know, which is more profitable: Vice President 's Seat or Senate President's Seat?

This I cluelessly engaged my self thinking. Supposing like play like play Prof Osinbajo eventually take over the No1 seat, will Senator Saraki accept to be swear-in as Vice President?

Don't you think Senate Presidency is more robust than Vice Presidency?

What's your opinion?

Enjoy your weekend

When Former President of America, Barack Obama ascended the seat of power as the first black man to rule America, there were all insinuations that his influence as black man and policies will contributorily enhance transformations in African economy.

As giant of Africa, Nigerians were so optimistic that Obama administration will aid Nigeria out of its trying time, to curb terrorism, corruption and improve economy. But unfortunately, Nigeria remained an enemy in Obama's google.

8 years of Obama, what did Nigeria benefit? Obama visited African countries: Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania and many more. Nigeria, which was originally thought to be on the agenda, was left out of the itinerary.

Initially, it was insinuated that Obama was not in good term with Jonathan's administration due to the level of corruption perpetrated during his reign.

The Obama administration believes that President Muhammadu Buhari can become an ally in cracking down terrorism and corruption.

After 2015 elections, Buhari enjoys the most respected status internationally of any of his predecessors. Buhari has said he desires a closer relationship with the United States and other Western partners as he seeks to improve Nigeria's position in the global community.

Now Obamania is over, the trending now is Donaldic!

Should Nigeria repose confidence in this newly elected US President, Donald Trump?

It's my opinion that Nigeria should be wise to strengthen its relationship with the United States, because ultimately the solutions to the country's problems -- including terrorism and economy -- will have to be solved internally.

"The solution can't come from Obama or Donald Trump. It has to be a Nigerian solution. "There's not much France can do or the U.S. can do in order to provide a national consciousness, economic balance and unity in Nigeria. It lies within you and me."

Running after US for betterment of Nigeria is tantamount to chasing shadow

According to Ben Bruce, ...the caliber of people appointed to transport the affairs of this nation are incompetent, not innovative, not goal oriented, not driven by passion for common man, not mentally capable and not having the fear of God...and they have to be re-leaved of their position before it is too late.

Foreign AffairsBreaking: Former Gambian President Jammeh, Appoints New Cabinet by richdaddy75(op): 6:31am On Jan 20, 2017
Hours after President Adama Barrow, took his oath of office
and allegiance, in the Senegalese capital Dakar, former
Gambian President now turned rebel Yahya Jammeh, issued
a press release announcing that he is about to appoint a
new cabinet, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. Mr.
Jammeh, who thanked his former cabinet for their services
to the nation said a new cabinet is due to be announced
soon. The press release was read on state media by GRTS’s
Malick Jones.

Mr. Jammeh is seemingly trying to divert public attention
from Barrow’s presidency by making such an outrageous
and ridiculous statement. He wants to reassert his position
that he still has a firm grip of the country.

Gambians both at home and abroad were taken aback by
Jammeh’s pronouncement. Mr. Jammeh lacks local and
international legitimacy. The United Nations on Thursday
declared Adama Barrow, as Gambia’s legitimate president.
Mr. Jammeh’s term has expired, but he is still occupying the
State House. His latest declaration has caused state of
confusion in the country. But notwithstanding, Gambians
thronged the streets of Banjul on Thursday, to celebrate
Barrow’s inauguration. Thousands of opposition supporters
marched in the streets of the Greater Banjul Area to express
solidarity with President Barrow and his new government.
The Guinean, and Liberian presidents are due to arrive in
Banjul on Friday. Negotiations are underway for Mr.
Jammeh to be granted political asylum in ether Guinea or
Mauritania.

Friday, is an important day for the settling of Gambia’s
political impasse. The ECOWAS troops are waiting for the
outcome of the said meeting before they would move in to
send the old regime packing.

PoliticsBREAKINGS: President Buhari To Face Impeachment Over Troops To Gambia by richdaddy75(op): 10:30pm On Jan 19, 2017
Controversies erupted in the National Assembly today over what the NASS termed as unconstitutional resolution of President Buhari to have ordered the deployment of Nigerian troops to Gambia without permission from the Lawmakers, an act describes as an impeachable offence before the law.

The Senate on Thursday criticised the Federal Government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari for deploying troop in Gambia without seeking legislative approval.

The Nigerian Air Force had moved a contingent of 200 men
and air assets, led by Air Commodore Tajudeen Yusuf, to
Dakar, Senegal, which is the base of the Economic
Community of West African States Military Intervention to
force President Yahya Jammeh of The Gambia out of power.
The Nigerian troops, which left from the 117 Air Combat
Training Group camp in Kainji, Niger State, on Wednesday,
joined troops from Senegal, Ghana and other countries in
the West African sub-region.

But Senator Chukwuka Utazi, while raising a constitutional point of order, said what the Buhari-led government did was against the law, citing Section 5 (4) of the Constitution.
Section 5(4) states, “(a) the President shall not declare a
state of war between the federation and another country
except with the sanction of a resolution of both houses of
the National Assembly sitting in a joint session; and (b)
except with the prior approval of the senate, no member of
the armed forces of the federation shall be deployed on
combat duty outside Nigeria.”

Observation of Senator Utazi, however ignited the upper chamber into insinuations among the opposition members proposing impeaching Mr President for his nonchallant attitude.

CATHOLIC PRIEST STORMS CHURCH WITH LOADED
AK-47 AND THIS HAPPENED (MUST SEE)

A photo of a military catholic priest ministering at a
podium with a rifle strapped to his arms has
generated a social media debate.
The photo was taken at the St. James Catholic
Cathedral located in the military base in Yobe state
during the height of the Boko Haram insurgency.
The priest is seen with his Ak47 rifle strapped to his
shoulders as he carries out his ministry to his
congregation.

Some Nigerians reacting to the photo have
commended the clergy man for being alert in
church.

Others however, faulted the priest for carrying a
gun in the Cathedral.
They said the priest lacked the courage to believe
that God can fight his battles.

Another group suggested that carrying guns to
places of worship could help reduce insecurity in
the country.
