My dear, you are not wrong to ask at all o. He is your husband and not your boyfriend so you can as well want to be clear on it. Their relationship is wrong for married people. You are supposed to be your husband's bestie and her husband is supposed to be her own bestie.
If she wants to cultivate friendship with your husband then she should include you and the entire family.

They rush down to marry women that they can lord over against love. Where love is absence there's bound to be chaos. It's a marriage of interest and covenient where the woman is trained to support the man's life style at her expense.

One would expect those folks who have schooled abroad, who have seen the greener pastures and all the things people flock there for to be more sensible.

Some of them are learned, professors and what have you, yet they keep making this mistake frequently.

I agree with you. Greed and lust most atimes are responsible for this. If marriage is an institution, idealy the foundation demand a solid work or support. But rushing down just to 'pick' any available woman on the advise and scouting of your family will always boomerang. The age difference many times is scary. And to think their are more mature and responsible African or Nigerian women there who appreciate the value of marriage is a cause for concern. Overall, the western law on marriage and divorce is harsh enough to push men over perpetual bachelorhood.

Spot on bro. Nobody takes time to know anybody. That style might have worked in our parents generation but it is not advisable with the vanity of today's world.
So, stop coming back home to pick the current village belle and then start ranting how she z not who you think she is, when you don't even know her in the first instance.

That is not the problem. The problem is that you married someone you don't know anything about.

She comes from a good home, she is very humble (how did you know huh

), she is a virgin, she is very traditional and she is beautiful. So, let us marry her.

You married her and now she has seen the "light" and wants to explore.

All am saying is that most of them abroad marry for all the wrong reasons.

It still shouldn't stop you from striving to study what you want to study because the most frustrated man is the one in the wrong profession.

If you want fulfilment, strive to study what you like and watch your job become easier for you.
