It was recorded that the rain which fell on Monday caused the collapse of a huge garbage heap in Mozambique, killing 17 people.

Authorities believe that more bodies could be buried at the Hulene garbage dump on the outskirts of Maputo. According to Portuguese news agency Lusa, the garbage rose to the height of a three-storey building. It was reported that 17 people were killed and 6 homes destroyed.


The Hulene garbage dump is known as the largest garbage dump in Maputo. People often comb through the garbage, searching for food and items to sell.

He also goes to a grocery store and picks up everyone’s tabs and presents a bunch of children with shopping carts full of toys. On Instagram, Drake called the video the “most important thing” he’s ever done in his career. And if all that still hasn’t melted your heart, he also dances on an escalator.

A baby in Gabon, Angel Okome, has reunited with her family after being held for five months over an unpaid hospital bill. She was released after the bill of roughly $3,630 was settled by a public campaign launched on the family’s behalf.


The unpaid bill was for the 35 days she spent in an incubator after her premature birth in a private clinic north of Gabon’s capital, Libreville.
The case shocked the public and garnered widespread support for Angel’s family, including from Gabon’s President Ali Bongo, who reportedly contributed toward the bill.


Angel’s mother, Sonia Okome, said in an interview:


“I’m happy to have my baby back, but I’m sorry that I can’t breastfeed her because after five months all my milk has gone.”


According to the BBC, the director of the clinic was arrested Monday on baby-kidnapping charges that were dropped a day later.

The Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, will soon walk one of his beautiful daughters down the aisle.


His daughter, Oludamilola Osinbajo who will be getting married to Oluseun Bakare. The news was announced by her father, Yemi Osinbanjo. He shared the details on his Facebook and Twitter account.
Bakare and Damilola are allegedly set to exchange their marital vows on Thursday, March 15, and Saturday, March 17. Though dates have been fixed but the venue is yet to be disclosed.

Prof Osinbajo on Wednesday, February 14, shared a picture of the couples, with the caption: “With joy and praise to the Lord, Dolly and I announce the betrothal of our daughter Oludamilola Osinbajo to Oluseun Bakare.”


The lovebirds have been dating for a while now before they finally decided to spend the rest of their lives together.
The same post was also shared on the Twitter handle of the vice president.

Kiki Osinbajo also took to her Instagram handle on Wednesday, to wish her sister a happy married life in advance. Her post reads:


“My sister is getting married. My new brother OluSeun Bakare in the house.”

A man in Liuzhou, China, got his arm stuck in a squat toilet while trying to retrieve his iPhone 8.
The man, surnamed Tang, who was drinking with some friends at a local hotel’s cafe, last weekend, decided he had to go to the toilet to relieve himself. As he was checking his phone while relieving himself in a squat toilet, Tang fumbled, and dropped his new iPhone 8 in the toilet.



He had paid around 8,000 yuan ($1,300) for that fancy handheld, so as soon as the iPhone went into the squat toilet hole, he got down on all four and stuck his arm in after it. He couldn’t reach it, so he kept pushing his arm further in, all the way up to his shoulder. At that point, Tang realized two things – he wasn’t going to reach his phone, and his arm had become stuck in a public toilet.


Too embarrassed to call for help, Tang spent 20 minutes trying to free himself, but his arm had swollen due to pressure, and he soon realized he wasn’t getting out of there without assistance. So he put his pride to the side and called for help. The janitor found him on the toilet floor and immediately called the local firefighters.



Luckily for Tang, though, he might be able to buy himself a new phone, with the compensation he got from the hotel. The Global Times reports that the man negotiated compensation with the hotel immediately after the incident.

Multiple award-winning comedian and actor, Julius D’Genius Agwu has concluded plans to stage the 2018 edition of his annual Festival of Love gig on Sunday, February 11, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.


Performers at this year's edition are:
Okey Bakassi, Senator, Dan D’Humorous, Nedu Wazobia, Sound Sultan, Harrysong and Romeo. Others are MC Jay, Mimicko, Chuks D’General, Ko Baba, Emma OhMaGod, Mudiaga and Saco.


The highpoint of the night, according to the organizers will be performance by famous reggae musician, Blackky who will infuse old school vibes into the evening.


Aside music and comedy, this year’s Festival of Love will also feature couples games and karaoke. It is definitely one of Valentine season’s events for couples to re-ignite their love life.

The 2018 Winter Olympics happening in PyeongChang, South Korea, kicked off today, and Google is celebrating the Games with a new series of dynamic Snow GamesDoodles.


Friday’s animated Doodle features a sequence of animal-athletes competing for glory. Festivities kick off with a magpie, a good luck symbol in Korea, alighting on the Google logo before a stiff winter wind blows in an icy frost. The Games are then under way, with a penguin swiftly sledding downhill, ski-jumping dogs and a figure skating snake leaping into a “single-footed triple-axel.”



The Doodle is the first in a series of 17 from Google’s team of Doodle Snow Games developers, or one for every day of the Winter Olympics, which run from Feb. 9 to 25 and will see more than 2,000 athletes representing 92 countries compete in more than 100 events, including first-time winter games teams from Ecuador, Eritrea, Kosovo, Malaysia, Nigeria and Singapore.


But no matter who falls short or sees their dreams realized on the medal podium,“new friendships are bound to crystallize before the end of the games,” Google writes.

The 2018 Winter Olympics will allow fan to be able to stream it live through Snapchat. NBC Sports will stream 2-6 minutes clips directly through the app from the Winter Olympics which will be taking place in PyeongChang, South Korea.


Snapchat announced this week that users can opt to be notified about when key events from popular sports like snowboarding and figure skating begin, and can watch the short segments on the app as they happen.
The feature is part of a deal NBC made with Snapchat for exclusive content for the 2018 Winter Olympics.


The partnership is just one of several between the two companies, which have close ties. NBCUniversal invested $500 million in Snap Inc. when the company went public in 2017. The two companies also worked together during the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, when NBC had a Snapchat “Discover” channel that included clips from the Games.


The partnership this time around also includes what Snap calls “Context Cards.” Those cards, which will be available in the “Our Stories” function on the app, includes details like the schedule for the Winter Olympics, medals awarded and news coverage of the event.


The Olympic live streaming will be available on the Snapchat app starting Feb. 10, and the Context Cards will be available Feb. 9. Figure skating, alpine skiing, skeleton, freestyle skiing and bobsled segments will be available. The opening ceremony for the 2018 Winter Olympics will take place on Feb. 9.


Other features from the Snap-NBC partnership include filters and stickers for Snapchat users, two Snapchat-based shows from NBC following snowboarding athletes and gold-medal favorites and Team USA athletes posting their own stories on the app throughout the Games.

Tom Hardy plays a reporter named Eddie Brock as well as Venom, an “alien symbiote” stuck in a human body.
The director, Ruben Fleischer said in an interview:

“I’ve always been drawn to the more antihero superheroes,

“There’s a dark element to [Venom] and a wit that has always appealed to me.”
