Kaitlyn Strom, 19-year-old, was reportedly drunk at the Winstock Country Music Festival in Tennessee and decided to put her head in a truck’s giant exhaust pipe.

When asked why she did it, she said:

“We were just all having fun and I saw this big exhaust pipe and I was like, ‘Hey, my head could probably fit in that,’ so I tried it. It did fit, but it didn’t want to come back out.”

She was resuced by a fireman, who had to cut off the pipe with a saw. She came out fine (thankfully).

The pipe has turned to a must-see object, as a local bar owner who has turned his tavern to a tourist/viewing centre for all to come and see the big exhaust pipe.

Egwu Kelly, 20-year-old, has been declared missing by her family members. Reports say that she left her house on the 14th of June around 2PM to buy recharge card at a nearby shop and hasn’t returned home since then.

Her family also revealed that she recently just came back from Cameroon two weeks ago.

Real Madrid’s forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has reached a deal with Spanish tax authorities to serve a two-year suspended sentence and pay a €18.8 million ($21.8m) fine in a tax evasion case.


Ronaldo is unlikely to serve any time in jail under the deal because Spanish law states that a sentence of under two years for a first offence can be served on probation.


The 33-year-old Portuguese footballer is accused of evading €14.7m in taxes and, through his agents, has denied the allegations. Ronaldo is due to play for Portugal on Friday in a World Cup match against Spain.

According to reports, Ronaldo has agreed to plead guilty to four counts of tax fraud at six months per count for a total of two years of prison term, although he is not likely to serve it. The Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode, opened six viewing centres for residents to watch the ongoing 2018 FIFA World Cup.

He also provided security, traffic control, general sanitation at the viewing centres and a public liability insurance cover for the six centres for the period of the World Cup.

The viewing centres are located at:

Teslim Balogun Stadium at Surulere, Campos Mini Stadium at Lagos Island, Abesan Estate at Alimosho, Naval Yard at Ajegunle, Bishop Aggrey Secondary School at Mushin, and Epe Recreation Centre.

Titi Oshodi, the Head of Public Relations, Lagos State Sports Commission, who made the announcement said:

“The viewing centres were opened to fans on Day One of the Coupe de Mundial on June 14 for the opening ceremony as well as the opening match between the host, Russia, and Saudi. Arabia.

The centres will run until the end of the World Cup on July 15.”

The Executive Chairman of the LSSC, Dr Kweku Adedayo Tandoh, gave the assurance that entry into the viewing centres was free. He said:

“The government has made adequate provisions for medical coverage, security, traffic control and general sanitation at all the viewing centres.

Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode, who is a member of the Federal Government’s delegation to the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup, wants Lagos resident to have a feel of football actions in the ongoing World Cup. He believes the viewing centres will also serve as fun and relaxation spots for the residents.”

Nura Aliyu, a fake Pharmacist in Kastina state, was arrested in possession of six cartons of codeine, which is equivalent to 300 bottles of codeine syrup and about 142 empty packs sold.

Kastina state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Wakili, said the suspect was arrested along Senator Abba Ali Road by Mohd Dikko Stadium.

Aliyu said:

“I regret my actions. I have stopped the business some three years back. It was only yesterday that I went back to it and I was arrested. We give it out wholesale in my shop. I have a chemist in Tsohon Tasha. People come inside the town to buy from my shop. They are mostly men. The empty packs are the ones they bought and went with it.”

Mohammed Kwari, 23, was recently arrested by the Niger state police command, for being involved in a kidnapping gang. He claimed that he only joined the gang so he can make money to buy things to celebrate the Eid-al-fitr holiday this Friday June 15th and Monday June 18th.

He was arrested alongside with another gang mate, Emmanuel Idi, 21. They were arrested by the Police operatives in the Kagara division while trying to extort N2.5 million from Sabon Mariga residents whom they threatened to kidnap if they failed to pay the money.

Mohammed said:

“I was looking for money to buy things for the sallah. I never knew that police operatives will arrest me. My parents were so angry that they refused to visit me in the cell. Honestly, I have disappointed them and I pray that they would forgive me."

According to the Police, he will be charged to court soon.

The Brangelina custody case just got heated up, with the Judge saying that their six children not having a relationship with their father is harmful to them and critical that each of them should have a healthy and strong relationship with both parents.


The judge ordered that:

*Angelina must give Brad the cell phone numbers for each child and allow him to call them whenever he wants.

*She is not allowed to read text messages between Brad and the children.

*She also must arrange a call between the kids and their doctors so it can be explained to them that “the court has determined that each of them are safe with their father.”

*A visitation schedule has been laid out for Brad to see the five younger kids – Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and nine-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox – while they are in London this summer, where Angelina is shooting Maleficent 2. The visitation increases in weekly increments – from 4 hours a day the 1st week with “one or two” of the children at a time to 10 hours a day the 2nd week to consecutive days the 3rd week, etc. – and includes the presence of a child therapist during at least part of each visitation.

*Oldest child Maddox, 16, gets to decide for himself how much time he wants to spend with his father.

*If Angelina does not allow Brad the ordered access to the children, she may lose primary custody: “If the minor children remain closed down to their father and depending on the circumstances surrounding this condition, it may result in a reduction of the time they spend with [Jolie] and may result in the Court ordering primary physical custody to [Pitt].”

Achibulu Paul, a 45-year-old man was arrested in Lagos, for using minors and collecting their blood at his apartment in Shomolu, Lagos, which he used as an illegal blood bank and sold them to hospitals. He paid the minors N2,000 for each collection.


All seemed to be going well till last Saturday, when one of the minors, collapsed, after donating six pints of blood.

The victim, Ayomide Adesanya, a 17-year-old boy is still unconscious in one of the hospitals in Bariga area of Shomolu.

According to the Lagos State Police Command, Achibulu had collected blood twice last week from the victim. The first collection was three pints of blood, which was done last Monday and last Saturday another three pints of blood was collected by the suspect before the teenager fainted moments later.

When asked what he used the blood for, the suspect said:

“I sell it to hospitals and several other laboratories for N7,000 per pint.”

He also claimed that he didn’t know the boy was underage. He said:

“It was when his parents came to confront me that I knew he was 17. He told me he was 20. I am a lab scientist. I was trained five years ago at the Nigerian Institute of Laboratory Science Technology.

Lab technicians from hospitals used to come and buy blood from me. I used to sell the blood through my assistant, Alfa. He’s the one who knows the hospitals he sold to. I do not know where he is at the moment.”

Achibulu took the Commissioner of Police and other policemen to a hospital within the area which he usually sold the blood.

The hospital’s Chief Medical Director and other indicted staff have been asked to appear at the command’s headquarters within 48 hours to narrate their side of the story.

The victim’s mother said:


“my daughter received a telephone call from one of her friends, who informed her that my son was seen on a motorbike unconscious.

When I was informed, I rushed home, found him in that state and took him to the hospital.”

Modestus Eze, the Principal of Seat of Wisdom Secondary School, Okija, Ihiala Local Government Area, Anambra, Nigeria was lynched by some youths in the area.

The youths decided to attack the principal when they heard that he allegedly had sex with a 17-year-old male pupil of the school.

The Principal was saved by the Okija Police Division who noticed the chaos going on in the school by the youths.

An eyewitness at the scene said :

“It was the police that saved the man. He would have been dead by now. We learnt that during the confusion in the school, the man escaped. Nobody knows his whereabouts.”

The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Umar, said:

“There was a reported case of unnatural offence against one Modestus Eze, the Principal of Seat of Wisdom Secondary School, Okija.

The suspect allegedly had an unlawful carnal knowledge of a male pupil of 17 years old, against the order of nature.

The scene was visited by police detectives attached to the Okija division and the victim was taken to the hospital for medical examination.

Some charms and fetish deities covered with red substance suspected to be blood, were also discovered in some isolated rooms on the school premises.

It took the intervention of the Divisional Police Officer and some eminent persons in the area to restore normalcy and pacify the rampaging youths from taking the law into their own hands.

The suspect is still on the run and efforts are being intensified to apprehend him in order to bring him to justice.”

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to the Lindo Wing, maternity ward at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, today April 23, 2018.


This is going to be her third child with Prince Williams. The news broke from a palace statement which read:


“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London earlier this morning in the early stages of labor. The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge.”


She was admitted before 6 a.m. in the same hospital that delivered Prince George and Princess Charlotte.


Baby No. 3 will be the fifth in line to the throne, after Prince Charles, Prince William, George, and Charlotte.

The couples announced the big news of Kate’s pregnancy in September through a statement:

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child. The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”

The Commissioner of Police of Nigeria, Ibrahim Magu is set to be removed from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The exit follows Magu’s promotion to the rank of Commissioner of Police, a promotion Vanguard gathered, followed back-channel communication between the two arms of government on how to remove lingering obstacles to cordial relations between the two arms of government.

Magu was expected to proceed for Senior Executive Course, SEC, at National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS, Kuru, Plateau State.



The Senate insisted on his exit after he failed to appear at the nomination twice before the legislative body, which is constitutionally empowered to confirm nominees for the office of chairman of the agency.

The Senate’s rebuff was rejected by the Presidency, which maintained Magu as acting chairman fuelling a beef with the legislature.

With the presidency rebuffing the Senate and even claiming that it did not need Senate confirmation, the legislative body held up appointments by the president for several crucial positions in government and was only moved by what senators claimed as national concerns to clear nominations to the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN last
According to reports, the presidency yielded to the pressure which resulted to the promotion of Magu to the post of a substantive commissioner of police, despite being promoted to the rank of deputy commissioner a year ago.


Magu, who was appointed as acting chairman of the commission in November 2015 as an assistant commissioner of police with accelerated promotion is expected to proceed anytime soon to NIPSS, Kuru for the SEC course.
The course is meant for those appointed as commissioners of police or their military equivalents.

The exit of Magu is coming as part of the same strategy that was used to force out the pioneer chairman of the EFCC, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, who was forced to proceed to SEC programme at NIPSS after the advent of the President Umaru Yar‘Adua administration in 2007.

Magu who is affectionately adored as The General among his admirers was the pioneer head of the Economic Governance Unit, EGU, of the EFCC, the unit that deals with fraud issues relating to politically exposed persons.

An unidentified Nigerian man was reportedly burnt to death in Rustenburg, South Africa. His vehicle was scorched by some identified people.


Reports say that South Africa’s North-West Police division claims the incident doesn’t have any connections with the savage protests which occurred in the area this past week.

There have been two separate reports whereby a group of unidentified people burnt two cars, hurting the people in it.

The Police hasn’t arrested anyone yet and are still undergoing investigations. The Police spokesman, Ofentse Mokgadi said to the South African Broadcasting Corporation:

“We can confirm that in two separate incidents, two vehicles were burnt by unknown suspects. In one of the incidents, a man sustained serious burn wound injuries after being set alight. He later died in hospital.

“At this stage a motive is unknown and police are still investigating.”

According to records, more than 117 Nigerians have been killed in South Africa since February, 2016. An unofficial estimates put the number of Nigerians residing in South Africa at about 800,000 majority of whom are young people

Swedish-born DJ Avicii, whose birth name was Tim Bergling, died today Friday April 20, 2018, in Muscat, Oman at age 28.



His publicist, Ebba Lindqvist announced that he had died in a statement:


“The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time, No further statements will be given.”


He died days after he was nominated for a Billboard Music Award for top dance/electronic album for his EP “Avicii (01).” The cause of his death hasn’t been revealed yet.

He suffered from acute pancreatitis due to excessive drinking. In 2014 he had his gallbladder and appendix removed, which in turn made him cancel a lot of shows so he could recover, and in 2016 he quit touring but continued making music in the studio.



He was a pioneer of the contemporary Electronic Dance Movement and a rare DJ capable of worldwide arena tour. He won two MTV Music Awards, one Billboard Music Award and earned two Grammy nominations. His biggest hit was “Le7els.”

He was a Musician, DJ, remixer and record producer who played instruments like Guitar, piano, keyboards, synthesizers, FL Studio and Logic Pro.

Some of his popular hits are: “I Could Be the One” with Nicky Romero, “Wake Me Up“, “You Make Me“, “X You“, “Hey Brother“, “Addicted to You“, “The Days“, “The Nights“, “Levels“, “Waiting for Love“, “Without You” and “Lonely Together“. He released his debut studio album, True, in 2013.

On Wednesday, the Nigerian Presidency confirmed the release of the abducted students of Government Girls Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State who were abducted by the Boko Haram extremist group on February 19.


The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, confirmed this in an interview. He also promised to give further details on the development later.


The presidential spokesman said:

“Yes, the girls are being transported to safety. We will give details later. We thank God.”


The girls release came exactly one week after President Muhammadu Buhari visited the school where they were kidnapped.

Buhari had during the visit last Wednesday reassured parents of the abducted schoolgirls that the Federal Government will not rest on its oars, until their wards are safely brought back home.

The President, who was accompanied by Governor Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe State, said he had directed full scale aerial surveillance and investigation to ensure that the girls were returned safely.


He said:

“I have read the full report of what happened in Dapchi. As I received the report, I was saddened and I am praying that God will continue to console you.”


President Buhari said:

“Boko Haram was in control of many local councils in Borno and some parts of Yobe State before we came. Now it has resorted to using young girls for suicide missions in mosques, churches and motor parks. We will not spare their members. We will ensure that Boko Haram meets its waterloo. By the will of God, I have directed the police and reinforced them, and the army and air force to keep searching until the children are returned alive.
