EducationYABATECH Radio Transmission Starting Soon by Rickyrick(op): 5:17pm On Jan 27, 2018
Yaba College of Technology(YABATECH) management says it is converse with the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to resolve a disagreement delaying take-off of the college’s radio station.

Dr Charles Oni, Director, Public Relations Unit, said in an interview on Saturday in Lagos:

“We have an area of conflict with NBC. Initially, when we applied for the licence, it was intended for both campuses.

“But now, NBC is saying otherwise. We are trying to sort it out.”

According to him, the management has completed a new digitalised studio for the radio station and will begin test transmission soon.
He also said that the fully digitalised radio studio, with state-of-the-art gadgets, was built and funded by the college.

Oni said that the radio station would be used to train students in the non-formal education setting.
According to him, non-formal education is important and central to mass-literacy, especially in areas of vocational and technical education in Nigeria.

“We are trying to emulate India, China and some other countries where radio is being used as an input to enhance mass education.

“With the radio, students may not need to come to the classroom if they enrol with us on that platform.

“Students can receive lectures wherever they receive the radio station frequency.

“We are talking with Nigeria Broadcasting Commission on this innovation and so as soon as they give us the final approval, we will go on air fully.

“We have received our operating licence since December 2015.’’

Oni said the college would develop courses and programmes that would suit people in the non-formal sector.

“Through the radio, lectures, seminars and workshops will be transmitted to students.

“It will be based on an agreement between the students and the college.

“We can reach out to mechanics, tailors and technicians, among others who are in the informal sector.

“They can learn while at work, and when it comes to the examination, we will arrange how they write their examination.”

Oni said apart from education, the radio would also be used for enlightenment, news and transmission of cultural programmes.

“The studio is ready; the NBC has visited the college to inspect it; everything is ready.

“We even had a test transmission during the 70 years anniversary of the college in October 2017,” he said.

CelebritiesCardi B Ready To Leave Offset? (video) by Rickyrick(op): 8:41am On Jan 19, 2018
Cardi B shared a video on her instagram page of her singing a sad song and she was topless in the video.

The 25-year-old female rapper who is engaged to Offset, sang Amanda Miguel‘s “Mi Buen Corazon”, which translates “My Good Heart”, with the caption: “Mood..Never Again”. Since the video was uploaded, her fans has been thinking of if she finally wants to leave her fiance Offset.

The video was uploaded hours after she clapped back a fan who criticised her for still staying with Offset after he cheated on her multiple times.

The fan wrote:

“Cardi B you deserve somebody better than Offset,”

and she responded:

“Don’t tell about who I deserve with him or not you don’t know how he matured me. Before I met him I ain’t got a lawyer, business management and I was insecure about my music. He helped give me confidence and helped me get my business situated.”

With the release of this video, we can’t still say if she’s still defending Offset. I guess we just have to wait and watch.

CelebritiesKim And Kanye Baby’s Name Revealed? by Rickyrick(op): 8:05am On Jan 18, 2018
According to a recent report, Kim Kardashian has fallen in love with a possible name for her third child. She supposedly likes the name “Love” for baby number-three, or does she?
The reality star shared a mysterious Instagram photo on Wednesday that has caused many followers to assume she and Kanye have selected a name for their new daughter.

What, exactly, is the name?
Well… no one knows for certain.
But many theories are now abounding around the Internet as a result of the image

The 37-year old Keeping Up with the Kardashians actress posted a seemingly simple Louis Vuitton monogram on her instagram account but with no caption included, prompting many users to think her daughter’s name was inspired by the fashion house.

Among the guesses fans have tossed around since this monogram went viral are:
“Elle V West,” “LV West” and “Louis West.”
Do these options sound sort of absurd for a child’s name? Yes.

But Kim and Kanye named their first child North and their second child Saint. So, really, no name seems odd at this point.

It should be noted that Kanye has included many Louis Vuitton references in his music, such as“Stronger,” “Runaway Love,” “Gold Digger,” “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” “The Glory” and “Pinocchio Story.”
He is sometimes called Louis Vuitton Don for some reason.

The couples welcomed their third child, a baby girl on Monday, via a surrogate mum and multiple reports have confirmed that Kim was present in the delivery room for the birth of the child, which she did not go through with herself due to a serious medical condition.

She wrote:

“Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl.

“We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care.”

CrimeRe: Ohanaeze Ndigbo Rejects Grazing Colonies Of Fulani Herdsmen by Rickyrick(op): 7:28am On Jan 18, 2018
CrimeOhanaeze Ndigbo Rejects Grazing Colonies Of Fulani Herdsmen by Rickyrick(op): 7:27am On Jan 18, 2018
The apex Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has rejected the Federal Government’s proposal to establish grazing colonies for Fulani herdsmen across the country. They say the recent killings of people by the herdsmen in Benue and Taraba states have exposed the dangerous path, which Nigeria would be walking through such a gamble.

The Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, has called on the Federal Government to immediately declare the violating Fulani herdsmen terrorists , and warning that allowing them to continue to kill, mutilate and destroy people’s farmland would push communities to engage in self-defence.

The Ohanaeze also said the proposed grazing colonies were not only against the Bible, which was a supreme law (Exodus 22.5), but another form of internal colonisation of the eastern region by the Fulani north.

These were contained in a statement, entitled, “Ndigbo rejects grazing colonies in its entirety” and it was signed by the Enugu State President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo,Chief Alex Ogbonna.

The statement reads:

“The recent killings by Fulani herdsmen in various parts of Benue State and Middle Belt region have once again exposed the dangerous path which Nigeria is currently walking.

“Curiously, despite the gravity of the situation, the Federal Government appears to be at a loss on how to tackle the menace, and has, consequently, hit on the expediency of establishing grazing colonies across the country as a means of ending the constant menace of the herdsmen.

“While Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Enugu State is disposed and committed to a peaceful Nigerian society, devoid of senseless blood-letting and unconscionable massacre of innocent civilians by any group, we wish to state categorically and in the strongest terms that we reject in its totality the proposed establishment of grazing colonies in any part of Enugu State.

“Therefore, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Enugu State Chapter urges the state government, state Assembly and other institutions of the state to resist in the strongest terms, the concession of any part of Enugu State for the purpose of creating grazing colonies for the Fulani herdsmen.

“We wish also to state that any attempt by central government to carry out this policy will amount to usurpation of our people’s right to existence and would thus be vehemently resisted.

“We hereby state without fear of contradiction that establishment of grazing colonies is not the answer to restructuring Nigeria, an option which Ohanaeze is committed and disposed to.”

Meanwhile, Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, has banned the roaming Fulani herdsmen from the 95 local government areas of the five states of the South-East and warned the herdsmen to take OYC’s position very serious or risk being in trouble.
OYC, however, appealed to Igbo youths not to take laws into their hands and allow the herdsmen to gradually leave the South-East with their cattle.

In a statement signed by OYC’s President-General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro; Secretary-General, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, and National Publicity Secretary, Obinna Adibe, the group condemned the attacks and killings in Benue State, saying the activities of the herdsmen are seriously threatening the peace of the nation.
It reads:

“The activities of herdsmen, and the Benue massacre is unfortunate and can cause another avoidable tension in the country, especially now that the election of 2019 is around the corner. We condemned vehemently the terrorist attacks of the herdsmen and call for self defense as a measure to halt it.

“Worried by their murderous activities, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council worldwide has banned and proscribed the Fulani herdsmen in Igboland as they have proven to be outlaws. We ban them and their activities in the 95 local government areas of the South-East. We want the Federal Government to declare them a terrorist.

For fear of being attacked, leaders of the community have directed their people not to go to their farms for now.

CelebritiesKim And Kanye Turns Down Offers Of Selling The First Photos Of Their New Baby by Rickyrick(op): 6:09pm On Jan 17, 2018
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West who welcomed their third child yesterday, allegedly have been offered multi-million dollar deals to give the photos of their new baby and they have rejected all of them.

The couples who welcomed their third child, a baby girl via a surrogate mum yesterday, say that selling photos of the newborn baby would violate their morals.

Sources familiar with the offers tells TMZ, Various websites and magazines started making offers months ago. All of the offers were not of a million dollars and several outlets offered between $2 and $5 million.

The offers were never entertained … they were immediately rejected. We’re told Kim and Kanye would never consider taking money for the first photos of the baby … doing so would violate their morals.

But there’s more, Kim and Kanye place the security and safety of their family above all else. They realize the media will eventually get pictures of the baby but they want to do it on their own timetable … when they’re comfortable the safety of the baby is secured.

So I guess we have to wait for at least 2 months or more before we can see the face of the baby.

The lady got up and ran crying, as her friends ran after her to console her.
