Singer, R. Kelly has yet again been accused by federal prosecutors in Brooklyn of arranging to get a fake ID in order to marry singer Aaliyah when she was 15-year-old.


The federal prosecutors in the Eastern District of New York alleged that on the day before his wedding to Aaliyah, Kelly and others in his circle bribed a public official in Illinois to create a fake ID for "Jane Doe #1."


According to court documents obtained by NBC, the singer was indicted Thursday on a new count of bribery stemming from an effort in 1994 to get the fake document.


NBC News disclosed that the unnamed person was R&B singer and actress Aaliyah, who Kelly, married in 1994 when he was 27. According to the official Illinois wedding certificate, it's been concluded that Aaliyah died in a plane crash in 2001 at 18-year-old.


Kelly, who is accused of abusing women and girls for more than two decades, including kidnapping, forced labor and sending child pornography across state lines.


Defense attorney Douglas C. Anton, who is handling R. Kelly's New York case, called the new bribery charge "an absolute absurdity, backed by more innuendo and baseless accusations.


The federal government has now gone all the way back to 1994 to add another charge to Kelly’s indictment. TMZ reports:

According to federal docs, obtained by TMZ, prosecutors say around Aug. 30, 1994 … Kelly and others paid money to a public official for “the creation of a fraudulent identification document for Jane Doe #1.” The significant part of the allegation is the date.

To make matters worse, R. Kelly’s former tour manager Demetrius Smith participated in the “Surviving R Kelly” documentary and admitted to getting the fake ID for Jane For #1 who we all know was Aaliyah. The fake ID was used to marry the 15-year-old singer. It seems things from his dark past are catching up with him and now will play out in court.

Beyonce's dad, Matthew Knowles, definitely put a smile on the face of every member of the Beyhive after uploading an unreleased music from Destiny's Child recorded back when they used to go by the name Girls Tyme.


Due to Mathew's habitual infidelity, it led Beyoncé's mom, fashion designer Tina Knowles (now Lawson), to divorce him in 2011, which Strained his relationship with his daughters. Beyoncé announced that she was officially cutting professional ties with her father in 2011 & till this moment, they remain estranged. However, Mathew is bent on showing the world music from the archives.


According to reports, the album, 'Destiny's Child: The Untold Story' came out on multiple streaming platforms via Knowles Music World Entertainment label on Monday, December 2, and it includes tracks recorded from when the group consisted of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Robertson during the early 90s.


Matthew first announced the album back on November 21, but many didn't really take him seriously. Interestingly, Knowles also released an accompanying book of the same title. It is unclear whether Beyoncé gave agreed to this.

Former minister for aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has warned that if anything happens to the Governor of Ebonyi state, David Umahi, or any of his family, all hell will break loose.

The Abuja home of Governor David Umahi was raided by policemen barely 24 hours after announcing that the activities of Fulani herdsmen were banned in South East.

Femi Fani-Kayode made the threat via his twitter account. He wrote:

24 hours after announcing that the activities of Fulani herdsmen were banned in SE, the Abuja home of Gov. David Umahi of Ebonyi was raided by policemen. The signal is clear but let those who sent it know that if anything happens to Umahi or his family all hell will break loose.

A Benin based activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, shared the story of a Nigerian man who is now deteriorating in the police cell for allegedly raping his stepdaughter.

According to the victim, her mum and stepdad told her that the act is to make her vagina ready enough for the job ahead of her. She added that she found out that the job ahead of her is that they have concluded plans on how to ship her off to Italy where she would engage in prostitution and child pornography.

The 15-Year-old girl was deflowered by her 49-year-old stepfather with her mother's approval in Edo state. She was physically molested by them whenever she refuses to have sex with the man. They both agreed for the man to continually have sex with her in the bid to widen her vagina in preparation to send her abroad for prostitution (human trafficking) and child pornography.

The 49-year-old Mr. Raphael who deflowered the victim, his step-daughter was apprehended and is currently detained and will be transferred to SCID Benin for further investigation and prosecution. Gwamnishu Emefiena and others are taking care of the victim's medical bills as she is currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.

At least eight children have been reportedly stabbed to death in a knife attack during the opening of classes at a primary school in China's central province of Hubei.

The attack occured at Chaotangpo Primary School in the town of Baiyangping, in Hubei province, but the motive remains unclear. A 40-year-old suspect named Yu was arrested following the attack on Monday.

A report published online on Monday by the Guangzhou-based news outlet Southern Weekly, citing employees at a local prison, said the suspect was released last year after serving an eight-year sentence for attempted murder. The report, has since been taken down, it also stated that the man had stabbed his girlfriend 40 times because of “emotional problems.”

Two children were reported injured and taken to the hospital. This isn't the first attack on school children in China. There have been several attacks on school children in mainland China in recent years.

Earlier this year, 20 school children were injured when a hammer-wielding man attacked a primary school in the Chinese capital, Beijing. In June last year, two children were stabbed to death by a man outside an elementary school in Shanghai.

In April last year, nine children were killed and more than a dozen injured outside a middle school in northwestern Shaanxi province by an attacker who was allegedly a former student seeking revenge for having been bullied.

In 2014, a man in southwestern Guangxi province stabbed to death four children while on their way to school.

Nigerian journalist, Agba Jalingo, was arrested a week ago due to his report on allegations of diversion of N500million by the Cross River state Governor, Ben Ayade, and has been charged with treason.

The journalist, who is the publisher of CrossRiverWatch, a Cross River State-based newspaper, was arrested in Lagos and driven by road to Calabar, Cross River State and was detained over a petition by the government-owned microfinance bank, following the report in his newspaper.

According to reports, Jalingo was said to have sued the police over his arrest and detention, which he said were illegal and a breach of his fundamental human rights. He is hoping on the court to order the police to pay him N150 million as damages for the manner he was allegedly maltreated.

A judge is yet to hear Mr Jalingo’s fundamental human rights case but the police has instituted a four-count charge of treasonable felony, terrorism, cultism, and disturbance of public peace on him.

The charges which were filed at the Federal High Court in Calabar, also indicated that Mr Jalingo was working with the #RevolutionNow movement of the detained publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, to destabilise the government and “undemocratically” force the government of Mr Ayade to end through violent means.

The first count of the suit filed on August 30, stated that Mr Jalingo carried out acts of treasonable felony by using his newspaper to instigate the removal of the state governor. It reads:

That you Agba on or about the 2nd of July 2019…did carry out acts of treason and treasonable felony by threatening through various publication on crossriverwatch.com and social media, using malicious publications, instigating the people of Nigeria to stage protest for the removal of the Governor of Cross River State of Nigeria from office without due process of law and thereby committed an offence punishable under the Section 41 of the Criminal Code of Act, Cap C38, Law of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

The second charge alleged that through the publication of the story titled: “How Ayade approved and diverted N500million for Cross River Micro Finance”, Jalingo intended to “cause alarm, hatred and disturb public peace in Calabar, for the purpose of bringing down the reputation of the Executive Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Senator Professor Ben Ayade.”

The charge stated that the alleged offence was in breach of Section 59 of the Criminal Code Act, Cap C38, 2004. Mr Jalingo was also accused of working with Mr Sowore, Ekanem Ekpo, and others at large of terrorism. The charge did not state the specific act of terrorism the accused was involved in.

Mr Jalingo and Mr Sowore, was accused of meeting with cult leaders in the state to “instigate them to commence acts of terrorism” on Mr Ayade with the aim to “undemocratically force his government to end through various acts of violence.”

Monday Ubani, counsel to Mr Jalingo, in a statement on Saturday, described the charges as “contrived”. He said Mr Jalingo should have been charged not more than 48 hours after his arrest in line with the law of the country adding that the police intend to use the excuse that courts are on vacation to further detain his client. Mr Ubani, therefore asked that Mr Jalingo be released immediately and without conditions. He said:

We demand the unconditional release of Agba Jalingo from the unlawful custody of the police as it is obvious that the Governor and Police are not ready to arraign him yet for his alleged crime of treason. However, if they have a case against him, the best thing and option available to them is to charge him to court on Monday and allow the judiciary to decide his guilt or innocence.

We must resist Nigeria being governed like a banana republic or like a dictatorship. Nigerians are awake!

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) arraigned Nigerian judge, Margaret Igbeta, who opened a bank account in the name of her maid and saved N870million in11 years. The ICPC approached a Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja, for an order of interim injunction for the forfeiture of N840 million traced to a retired President of the 8 Benue State Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Margaret Igbeta.

The Commission, in an ex-parte motion filed at the court, said that the order would stop Justice Igbeta from accessing the money alleged to have been obtained through fraudulent activities in the course of her official duties. ICPC noted that the request for the interim forfeiture was filed pursuant to Section 48 (1), (2) and (3) (a) and (b) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000 and Section 6 (6)(a) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended.

Igbeta is being accused by ICPC investigators for opening an account in the name of her housemaid, Theodora Atsu, on the 5th of March, 2008, with an initial deposit of N8 million. Rasheedat A. Okoduwa, spokesman of the commission said:

The retired President of the Customary Court of Appeal was accused of operating a proxy fixed deposit account in the name of her maid, one Theodora Atsu, with Ecobank Plc, where she accumulated N870, 321, 492.15 between 2008 and 2019.

She was said to have opened the account with her passport and the name of Atsu on the 5th of March, 2008, with an initial deposit of N8 million. She subsequently made several other huge deposits including N123, 745, 925.57 and N5 million, in the months of March and May, 2008.

It was also noted by the Commission that the money was far above her legitimate earnings both as a judge and President of the Customary Court of Appeal within the period that the account was operated and would have used to meet the infrastructural needs of the citizens and development of the nation. ICPC therefore prayed the court to grant the order in the interest of the nation.

Former Goldman Sachs Ghanaian banker, Elias Preko, who helped Former Governor of Delta state, James Ibori, launder money in offshore accounts has been fined £7.3m(N3.2 billion) to the British treasury or face 10 more years in jail.

The order was slammed on Preko on Monday, September 2nd by Judge David Tomlison, following a confiscation hearing. Preko has three months to repay the money or he will return to jail. He was jailed for four and a half years back in 2013 for his role in the James Ibori scheme.

Preko, 60-year-old was believed to have abused his ‘gold-plated credentials’ to launder at least £3m plundered by Ibori, from Delta state treasury. Ibori, who governed Delta between 1999 and 2007 was estimated to have pocketed up to £160 million from government treasuries, depriving the state’s poor of the cash. Preko, who represented himself, told the court in a previous hearing that much of the cash had been spent on election campaigning back in his native Ghana. He said he had run as a candidate for the centre-right NPP party back in the mid-2000s.

Preko explained that Ghana is predominantly a cash based society and that few receipts exist for his campaign spending.

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has asked Poland for forgiveness, 80 years after World War II. The German leader said this during a ceremony in the Polish city of Wielun, where the World War II bombs fell 80 years ago. About six million Polish reportedly died in the conflict that killed more than 50 million people in all. He said in both German and Polish:

I bow before the victims of the attack on Wielun. I bow before the Polish victims of German tyranny. And I ask your forgiveness.

It was Germans who committed these crimes against humanity in Poland. Anyone calling them things of the past, or claiming that the vile rule of terror of the National Socialists in Europe was a mere footnote of German history, is passing judgement on him or herself.

As Germany’s Federal President, let me assure you that we will not forget.

We want to, and we will remember. And we will bear the responsibility that our history imposes upon us.

Polish President Andrzej Duda for his part denounced Nazi Germany’s attack on Poland, calling it an act of barbarity and a war crime. He said:

I am convinced that this ceremony will go down in the history of Polish-German friendship.

David Dao , a passenger of United Airlines Flight3411, who was dragged off & screaming from his seat on April 9, 2017, has finally broken his silence by coming out to say that the incident caused him to shed a lot of tears.


Dao’s case captured worldwide attention in 2017 when he was forcibly removed from an overbooked flight at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, resulting in a concussion, a broken nose and two missing teeth, according to ABC News. Dao said he decided to speak out publicly as a way to thank those who stood behind him.


Dao, who has not spoken publicly about the incident since it happened, spoke about the incident on the two year anniversary of the ordeal on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” stating that when he first saw the video footage, he just cried.


The doctor said he boarded the plane on April 9, 2017, preparing to head home to Kentucky, where he was planning to open a free clinic for U.S. veterans. The flight was overbooked and when he refused to give up his seat, he was dragged off the plane.


Dao told ABC News that he never expected the encounter to get physical but, once it did, everything escalated fast. He said he has forgiven the airline as well as the security agents who dragged him down the aisle and back into the airport terminal. He said:

I'm not angry with them. They have a job to do. They had to do it. If they don’t do it, they must lose their job. So, I’m not angry with them or anything like this.

Tyler Bridges, Fellow passenger, told The Washington Post in 2017 that travelers were informed they would be given vouchers to rebook, but when no one agreed, the airline started selecting people and asking them to leave. He said:

A young couple was told to leave first. They begrudgingly got up and left. Then an older man who refused.

He said he wasn’t getting off the flight and he’s a doctor and has to see patients the next morning.

The man became angry as the manager persisted, eventually yelling. He said more or less that he was being selected because he’s Chinese.

A police officer boarded. Then a second and a third. Bridges then began recording, as did another passenger.


Dao told ABC News on Tuesday that he woke up in a hospital and for a while did not know his story had gone viral.


Then, amid widespread outcry, slipping stock prices and a settlement with the airline, he said the media attention became too much for him to handle. “Get to the point, I have to hide. I stay for months, months in house.”

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, sets record by reaching one million followers on their newly created Instagram account in less than six hours.


The account “sussexroyal” was launched on Tuesday with a post featuring a monogram symbol with their names and now has 3.2 million followers. The first post alone got more than one million likes.

The post was captioned:

We look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues.

The royals beat a record previously held by the South Korean K-pop singer Kang Daniel, who achieved one million followers in 11 hours, 36 minutes.

A cab-hailing service provider in Liverpool, England, recently launched their Keke napep in the streets of Liverpool yesterday.

The cab service provider known as Ola, says the introduction of the Keke napep is to overtake Uber as the regions top cab. Passengers were given free rides on the first day of the launch.

Ola entered into the UK in 2018 and launched its services in Cardiff last year and currently operates in Bristol, Bath & Exeter. Its launch in Liverpool makes it the fifth city it is entering.

In Bensheim, a German town inrescue workers received a very unusual call , when a chubby rat needed help after getting stuck halfway out of a sewer manhole.


The local professional animal rescue in Rhein Neckar, Mr Sehr, was already at the scene but could not free the fat rodent from the top of the manhole cover.


It took 8 firefighters and an animal expert to take out the manhole cover and propped on wedges while Mr Sehr managed to bring the rat out.

The animal rescuer, Michael Sehr told local media:

"She had a lot of winter flab and was stuck fast at her hip – there was no going forward or back."


A fairly large rescue operation ensued leading some to question why all the effort was spent on saving a sewer rat.

Mr Sehr responded:

"Even animals that are hated by many deserve respect."

Senator Godswill Akpabio, who is the ex-governor and Former Senate Minority leader of Akwa Ibom state, has lost his seat in the senate.


Akpabio of the APC was defeated in the race for the Akwa Ibom North Senatorial District by PDP’s candidate, Christopher Stephen Ekpenyong. The Returning Officer Professor Peter Ogban who announced the result, said Ekpenyon polled a total of 118,215 votes to beat Akpabio of APC who scored 83,158 votes.

A 33-year-old Ghanaian woman, Gifty Addo, was arrested at the Kumasi Central Prison in Ghana when she came to deliver food to her boyfriend in jail.

She was arrested for trying to smuggle Tramadol and Weed to her boyfriend in the prison through a bowl of meat stew.

According to reports, Addo’s boyfriend identified as Yaw Odum had allegedly been selling drugs to inmates in the prison with the help of his girlfriend.

She was caught by a female prison officer on duty at the main entrance of the prison.

After searching the bowl of meat stew, the police were said to have uncovered 13 mini parcels of dried leaves and 10 blister packs of Tramadol 225mg.

Edo State Government warned residents yesterday, in Benin City, about recent lassa fever outbreak. The warnings are as a result of reported cases of outbreak of Lassa fever in other parts of the country allegedly said to have been exacerbated by bush burning and other activities that drive rats from the wild into peoples’ homes.


Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communication Strategy, Mr. Crusoe Osagie, released a statement saying:

"We want residents of the state to take extra precaution against Lassa fever disease.

The disease is prevalent during dry season as burning of surrounding bushes is common practice. The rats, which spread the diseases, may find shelter in human habitation as a result of bush burning.

Governor Godwin Obaseki has made efforts to halt the spread of Lassa fever in the state. If residents ignore this warning, it may expose them to the disease, as experts have linked the dry season when bush burning is rampant to the resurgence of the disease.

It is important for residents in the state to be cautious and guard against the resurgence of the disease. People should protect their foodstuff and water from rats through storage in well covered containers. Avoid bush burning that can drive rats into people’s homes from the surrounding bush. The environment should be clean always.

People should ensure that they wash their hands frequently in addition to avoiding contact with infected persons. Any person with fever should go to the hospital promptly. Eliminate rats from your homes and communities. Cook your food thoroughly."

Don Johnson, 88, surprised his wife with a new diamond ring for their 67th wedding anniversary after she lost her original one.

Pat Johnson, 85, an Illinois woman misplaced her wedding and engagement rings at the nursing home where she lives with her husband, Don Johnson, and was shocked when she received a new one from him.


Don Johnson’s daughter, Diane Hawkins, helped him shop for a new wedding band for her mother while Hawkins brother stayed with their mother while they went shopping. Hawkins told her mother that she was taking their father to an appointment, rather than on a trip to find the perfect gift.


According to Hawkins, their mother had recently fallen and injured her left hand, causing it to swell up and made her unable to wear her rings on the injured hand. Pat Johnson placed them in a jewelry box on a dresser in her room at the nursing home and they later went missing.


It took Pat Johnson a while to open the box, but when she finally saw what it contained, she was speechless.

Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha, thanked the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari for appointing his wife, Nneoma Okorocha, as Southeast coordinator for the Youth and Women campaign team.


He made the statement yesterday in Owerri, through his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, adding that his wife would be given the maximum support to deliver on her mandate.


Okorocha congratulated Aisha for the appointment and also his wife for making part of the presidential campaign team. The statement reads:

"The governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has on behalf of the government and good people of the state, expressed delight over the appointment of the First Lady of the State, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha as a member of the 99-man Advisory Council for the Women and Youth Presidential Campaign Team."
