Eko Ile:

The library is a scam and it's a tolled scam library. School children in Akwa ibom have to come up with N1000 before they get to use that phony library.

A phony and tolled library can not and never be the best in Nigeria talk less any where in Africa..

Go figure with the story below...

White elephant and abandoned project..

1. White elephant project

2. Abandon project

3. Misplaced priority project

4. Financiall mismanagement project

Abandoned project and of little or no importance to the community

And the rest of your rant is nothing but the same layman and illiterate gutter rubbish..

Sorry for you, but I have no time for cockk sucking fagots.
Once again, sorry

bokohalal: @Ricky ross,I strongly disagree with your statement that no one can solve a society's problem in eight years.

Ok no qualms, I will pray for you to become the next president of Nigeria so that within 8 years you will put water/electricity at every home in Nigeria, plus build roads/bridges/hospitals in every village in Nigeria.

Elueme: Sorry, I couldn't be as jobless as you are, surfing nets for pictures to be used as tools for propaganda. I am familiar with the said state and roads ain't the only developmental stride achieved by Akpabio. The roads are second to none and it's about te same standard in all the nook and crannies of that state but in terms of aesthetic value( which is the major achievement of fash) the man has done wonders in Uyo and ikot ekpene( the two towns I visited at night hours). The flowers, water fountains, street lights are good sights to behold especially at night. You didn't talk about the compulsory child education which the people have now accepted as against a culture that doesn't believe in education, the e-library( one of the best in Africa), the underground drainage system etc. judging by road network alone which is well spread in all the local govts, the man s far above board
N.B you are ignorant about the hospitals. As a doctor, I know the structure of a solid health system does not consist buildings only but the overall workability of te entire system including management, workers welfare, qualified personnel and tools( drugs and equipment). Pls stop being mischievous with those buildings you are displaying. Every med doc in the employ of Akwa Ibom state is given a brand new car and it has boasted te morale of the medical staff. Also those hospitals re running well and fine. Necessary equipments are not in want. The Uyo general Hosp has been converted to a teaching hospital courtesy Akpabio.
Akpabio is building residential quarters for the federal staff in the interior ministry( police and co). How about the new medium prison built and donated by Akpabio in Akwa Ibom state?
You didn't say anything about the international Airport built by Akpabio.
You were obviously blind to the free trade zone and the Ibom resort in Uyo.
Stop hating bro

Its sad that many of you take Clownish Eko Olee serious. He is a clown and 90% of Nairalanders know him to be mischievous as well. HE should show us what his state governor has done.

Apart from Fashola, Okabio has performed better than all the South West governors COMBINED- FACT.

There is no one governor in Nigeria that can solve ALL the teething problems of their state in 8 years- FACT.

There is no president that can solve Nigerias numerous problems in 8 years, FACT. Even if we make Obama president of Nigeria there is no way he can fix all our airports, seaports, roads, bridges, schools, hospitals etc in 10 years- FACT.

Even though I am from Imo that does not mean I shouldn't appreciate the good things Okabio has done for his people. For instance, Amaechi has performed better than ALL NIGERIAN GOVERNORS in EDUCATION, But in other areas he may fell woefully, FACT.

No state or city in Nigeria or West Africa for that matter can parade the type of roads, both rural and urban Okabio has built for his people in Akwa Ibom- FACT.

The E-Library in Uyo is world class and best in West Africa, FACT

The Akwa Ibom underground drainage system is world class and second to none in West Africa- FACT.

The stadium Okabio is building is among the best in West Africa, FACT.

The Ibom Tropicana is world class and has no match/rival in West Africa- FACT.

The International Airport Okpabio is building is among the best in Nigeria- FACT.

Now this man is only doing what he was elected to do, he is only human and not a saint, he must have weaknesses as well but it would be insane for anyone to say Okabio has not tried. So far he is the best governor of his state- FACT.

I pray whoever takes over from Okpabio will replicate what Amaechi did to Rivers schools.

Photos of some of these projects can be seen below

Mandela is not dead, he was very serious yesterday but today the news say he is responding to treatment.

This man have tried, I always tell God I don't want to die a painful death. I want to see my children's children but when am up to 80 and my time comes make i sleep and not wake up after kissing my children/grand children.

I don't want to die slowly or have a serious ailment that will make me beg death to come. If Mandela's time has come God abeg let him rest in peace. He is a rare gem and my hero.

Senseless article. Why not worry about feeding the poor masses or even giving people uninterrupted power supply?

There is no way you can completed ban porn in Nigeria. If you block YouTube people would still use VPN or Proxies to bypass it.

As for me, give the poor masses basic amenities like water, good road, electricity and WORRY LESS about what kinda movies they watch.

LAIR, the pot is too hot for him to handle now so he is readdressing his footsteps.

Why didn't he deny the reports long time ago? Even when his posters were flooding the streets he didn't deny.

I thought they said he is too powerful and GEJ is clueless?? Now it is appearing GEJ is not clueless or timid, he is just not a noise maker. ACTION speaks louder than the voice.

automaticcarzz: So much I hate Obasanjo, he was better than retardeen Ebele Jonathan. Without Obasanjo's introduction and revolution of GSM service, you wouldn't be here surfing on your phone. Obasanjo paid off our debt, but Jonadunce has mortgaged your life for generations to come. Obasanjo wouldn't have waited over two years before confronting Boko boys, but Jonadunce waited till it was political convinient before he acted. Obasanjo would not have offered amnesty to people who killed, maimed and murdered innocent men, women and children but incompetent Jonathan offered amnesty to killers. Jonadunce could not get a competent Finance Minister he went for Iweala who served under Obasanjo. Obasanjo left 67 billion dollars surplus but we hardly have 13 billion dollars in reserve. I rate Obasanjo fist three years in power as 30/100 but I have to rate Jonadunce first three years as 10/100. I am being liberal with my grade.

You are dumber than dumb for mentioning OBJ's name. OBJ's regime was our best bet of becoming a developed nation, that was during record oil prices but OBJ ruined everything. In sane lands OBJ would be in jail by now, but he is as free as a bird and even causing serious problem in Ghana few months ago. The electoral fraud/rigging he spearheaded in Ghana is yet to be settled in court.

So to you OBJ's highest achievement is GSM which was even initiated by the Military? By the way, what happened to the hundreds of millions of dollars Nigeria generated from GSM auction license? Where is the over 16 Billion Dollars OBJ voted to IPP projects? Before he left office did he commission or generate any single killowat?

GEJ is currently doing what OBJ and others couldn't do. Go to our airports today you feel proud of being a Nigerian. I was in Nigeria 2 months ago I traveled all the way from Port Harcourt to Owerri to Lagos by road and appreciate the fact that our highways are wearing new look. Our railways are being revamped after decades of neglect. These are simple things OBJ and co couldn't do.

According to the WHO, Nigeria is the most disease endemic country in the world as at the end of 2012. Malaria kills 300,000 nigerians every year and 97% of the population is at risk. Pneumonia kills 200,000 children in Nigeria every year. Out of the 60 million children that have stunted growth globally due to malnutrition, Nigeria alone accounts for 11 million of them and is predicted to have about 2.4 million additional stunted children by 2020. One out of five (11 million) chronically malnourished children in Africa live in nigeria. The statistics on child and maternal mortality is even worse.

Nigeria is ranked 187 out of 191 countries by WHO. Also, check out nigeria’s ranking on the Failed States Index, World Freedom Index, DuPont Food Security Index, Global Water Poverty Index.

Politics / Re: More Ghanaian Women Beating Thier Husbands. by RickyRoss1(m): 11:37am On Jun 08, 2013
Jakumo: In a typical Ghanaian marriage, the wife is built like a Hippopotamus while the husband has the stature of an emaciated mouse. Don't ask me why that weight advantage always goes to the woman in Ghanaian marriages, but that is the way it is. Maybe Ghanaian men like to be able to hide behind ONE of their wife's thighs whenever debt collectors come visiting.

Anyway, one does not be a boxing promoter to guess at the outcome of a Ghanaian domestic dispute between the hippo and the mouse, so the speculation need only focus on the severity of the husband's injuries and humiliation when the dust settles.
Politics / Re: We Can Make Peace In Rivers - Orji Kalu by RickyRoss1(m): 11:26am On Jun 08, 2013
peleson: Balanced opinion but not very balance because the wife of GEJ interest has latent. This is the reason the crisis will continue.
The root cause is who becomes the governor in 2015 in RS. First lady wants her kinsman from Okrika by all cost. Using wike to front and fight for the mandate with political benefit promised him perhaps, to be next governor after the okrika man tenure.
This arrangement will set RS backwards forever politically.
Must the next governor of R/S come from okrikla whose zone has produce a governor? NO!
Let other zone produce governor too now.
If Amaechi goes or the next governor does not come from the senatorial zone yet to produce governor, not only RS will boil , Nigeria will experience disaster and the same fate will befall GEJ

I dont believe heaven will fall if an Onkrika indegene becomes the next governor of rivers state.
I also do not like these politicians hand picking candidates for us. For me let the best candidate win, simple.

Frank-C:

Very few understands this fact. Even more important is the political will from her boss to do the right thing.

Ever heard of IPPIS or EDMS? I was once involved at consultancy level on a key project implementation for FG and I was thrilled by the quality and clarity of direction coming from the other side of the negotiation table. There are really good people out there, very good people who are even in the civil service who only care about getting the right quality of job done for government.

This is why i insist that GEJ is fighting corruption how it should be fought- deliberate elimination of the contact between giver and receiver. While funny noise makers are busy setting the trap for him so that they will call it witch hunting, he is progressively making it diffucult to spend FG money by putting in the right insitutions.

Let me give you some pointers - our NASS are not getting the kind of cash flow that was happening before now. He is getting opposition from key figures because the money is not flowing. Again, while many believe that few Nigerian governors can withstand fiduciary inducements, Amaechi still have followers even among few PDP governors. If GEJ rolls out Federal bounty, very few governors will stand behind Amaechi. Finally, why do you think you have many newspaper houses reporting their conjectures and why does the Punch never write anything good about GEJ? Because the government has refused to corrupt the press. If you believe that editors of Leadership, Punch, Thisday and Sun newspaper can resist good money and choice plots from the FG, then you can believe that your mother is a man. Do you really think that Sowore of Sahara reporters can withstand the 'persuasions' of the FG? Then think again.

What we have at the helm is a clear eyed set of intellectually driven policy directions. The noise makers make their noise while GEJ led government do the work without drama or press romance.

Very well said. But sadly Nigerians want a miracle, they want 24 hours uninterrupted power supply within 4 years after decades of neglect which is not possible even if we invest 100 billion dollars in the power sector. These things takes time and the good thing is GEJ is doing the right thing and has got the right people in place to fix the economy.

Kudos to the aviation minister, the man in charge of agric, power and NOI.

The sowore of a guy is funded by ACN, this is not a secret.

On a serious note, I wonder why all the other Ghanian stars drive old and cheap cars? Only jackie drives expensive ride like Range Sports among her peers in the movie industry. I wonder what the secret is?

Even Sakordie that happens to be the most expensive Gh rapper is pushing a cheap Dodge ride.
