As if without the satellite, he can not tap into the billions using Whatsapp.

He has a terrific history of helping. I need data to crash. If people do not agree, let him fly his Aquila drone over my house.

What is there to tap?

Conspiracies.

Many can not Phantom how someone can help in this magnitude.

Reminds me of a Tyler Perry movie with Angela Bassett and Rick Fox. Rick was helping her and her son out. She continued asking him what is in it for him to gain. One day he told her, "I care."

Zuckerberg cares. He has more than enough. You can see from his simple life that he is okay.
Enough said. I have made my points and you have been enlightened one way or the other. Several europeans have taken facebook to the law court because of infiltration and many case has been won by them. To the extent that facebook had to include some settings to limit how it infiltrates into peoples lives.
But in this part of the world..... I end my case.

I have Internet access but I will embrace buying 3gb for N500 with one month validity.

That is what Zuckerberg brings to Africa. We are forgotten. Many innovative minds wasting away.

I welcome his approach. The Germans successfully had the Agricultural, Industrial and IT revolution. We do not. Mobile technology came in about 2001.

If someone will bridge the science gap, then we will rise.

I trust him more than a lot
.
good luck in trusting him but think about it again. He spent billions of $ buying whatsapp...... also bought instagram......and now he wants to provide internet for africans..... and when we are using his gateway to surf the net then our daily lives would revolve around his organisation Do you know they sell informations, data, and records to cooperations, govt bodies and security agencies?. Welcome to the informative age bro and good luck

Everybody knows that at the bottom of it, it's business. It's Symbiotic relationship, You just have to be wise, when the US secretary came to Nigeria, was it not business, they don't go to countries that don't give them value, but it would be foolishness to turn them down because you think it's all business, because you need them as much as they need you, Facebook's interest in Nigeria will bring a lot of development, I was watching the town meeting and can already imagine business opportunities that would come out for Nigeria. Then some apps that'll be created custom to Nigeria - When he went to Kenya, his talk was around their MobileMoney, I won't be suprised if he creates a powerful solution that will support that. end of the day, Facebook will make much more money and those countries too will be enrich, advance in tech and businesses will benefit
Ask yourself this question. Why are they trying so hard to infiltrate into our lives and cultivate into our way of life?

I will trust a guy who donated $25 Million To save the lives of Millions of Africans over Conspiracy theorist who will not put their N2,500 to buy Sanitizers for their neighbors.

I trust Zuckerberg and he believes in availability of the Internet for everyone. The possibilities are huge.
Africans have always been quick to trust the white man. Dont make the mistakes your fore fathers made. Did we tell him we lack internet access?
Africa has more Whatsapp users than any other continent. He bought it over for billions... And now he wants to provide a satellite...For affordable internet... A gateway for him to tap into the lives of africans.....

I understand you bro. But Tell me are you lacking internet access? You trusting a guy you dont even know. Because he gave $25 million out of several billions.... My guy wake up. Dont be like our fore fathers who sold their fate and fates of their children to slavery....

Be objective dont be passive. He cant go to Germany and float a satellite in orbit there. These guys have spent billions of $ to tap int our daily lives and they will stop at nothing to achieve it....

I wish our own Rich men can be like him. Yes he's a business man and he obviously has interest in Nigeria, but he's going to invest in things that will encourage and make Internet affordable, supporting developers who have ideas but no money, among other things, to me, he's a Philanthropic business man.

Talking about overhyping, he is not overhyped, he is the 7th richest man in the world and facebook is one of the top brand worldwide, If I'm in Government now, I will do more than our govt have done to get his attention and show more interest in our country. Abi no be foreigh investors we they look for? what can be more foreign than this. In this case he's even the one coming, not the one that govt will go and be wasting country's resources traveling and trying to get attention of companies that are not interested.

And If I'm a celebrity, I will do more than our celebrities, call it as..licking, you must recognize when your helper is around you, and if Zucheberg shows interest in your project, you're made, even Americas are looking for his attention, how much more me. But some people are too proud, the only time you hear their voice is when they're shouting JONATHAN or BUHARI, they can die for those people, but people who are making quality contribution, they would be asking ' who is Zucherberg'. I respect 'TONY ELUMELU', and a few people truly adding value in this country, I don't foolishly Idol worship greedy politicians who are creating unfavorable condition for youth to succeed.
I understand you very well, my brother. But I need you to know that this is a greek gift. Why do you think he wants to spend millions of $ to give us affordable internet. This is deeper than what you think.

We are in the informative age. And social media is the next big thing in the world today. The richest people in the world today are majorly int the information business. The truth is, they want to know everything, infiltrate into our lives and control us eventually. Just as their ancestors did during colonization.... Our fore fathers were lured and eventually exploited and enslaved.

Why do u think Facebook spent billions of $ buying over whatsapp, instagram ad others? Who is crazy enough to do that? Except the person has an agenda.
PoliticsRe: Zuckerberg Presents Facebook Drone To Buhari (photos) by riddler4real(m): 4:00pm On Sep 02, 2016
TheGoodJoe:

He is a philanthropist.

He has a mission in the world he is carrying out. Nigeria is definitely a huge market but he still males philanthropic donations regularly.
Remember how our fore fathers were deceived by the europeans, when they came with mirrors, alcohol, guns, and other eye candy stuffs. And how they were eventually manipulated, over thrown and exploited....

We are in the information age.... The wealthiest people in the world now are people that have the largest access to information. (Information technology)
Why did you think Whatsapp was bought over, instagram also for billions of dollars?
Is it not crazy for someone to spend billions of $ buying several social media platforms?

This is deeper than you think. Google and facebook are bent to harness every information it can grasp especially in 3rd world countries like ours who are fickle minded and too ignorant to know their left from right. They cant do that in Germany or france or china....

TheGoodJoe:
Zuckerberg Is A Philanthropist.

OVERVIEW: Zuckerberg has emerged as a major philanthropist, making a succession of large gifts in recent years. The couple are Giving Pledge signatories and more recently pledged to give 99 percent of their Facebook shares, presently valued at $45 million, to help “improve the world for the next generation.” Zuckerberg recently launched the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative whose initial focus areas will be "personalized learning, curing disease, connecting people and building strong communities."

ISSUES:

EDUCATION: Zuckerberg's first major philanthropic venture was in 2010, when during an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show, he announced a $100 million donation to the Newark, New Jersey, public school system. Zuckerberg has subsequently made an even larger education gift to improve schools in Silicon Valley, saying that he had learned important lessons from the Newark experience. Zuckerberg said in 2015 that personalized learning will the focus of his education giving, which is channeled through an organization he created, Startup:Education.

TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT: Back in 2010, Zuckerberg donated an undisclosed amount to Diaspora, a project that four students at New York University have been working on and that some have referred to as the anti-Facebook. It's an open source project in which users maintain control of their own data. This philosophy seems to fly in the face of Zuckerberg's plan with Facebook, which he claims is designed with an intent on "making the world more open." When asked why he donated to Diaspora through Kickstarter, Zuckerberg said he was motivated because he sees "a little of myself in them."

Zuckerberg and his wife were also among the tech luminaries who recently announced the Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences, which they envision as a competitor to the Nobel prize. The Prize rewards researchers with a $3 million grant for the development of cures for "intractable diseases." Six life sciences projects and one physics project will receive a $3 million prize annually, for a total of $21 million a year. For more information, see the Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences or the Fundamental Physics Prize.

HEALTHCARE: Through the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Zuckerberg recently gave $75 million to San Francisco General Hospital, $25 million to the Centers for Disease Control. As well, $5 million recently went to Ravenswood Family Health Center. Zuckerberg's wife, Priscilla Chan, is a pediatrician. The couple also made a $25 million gift to combat the Ebola epidemic in 2014. One of the initial focus areas of the new Chan Zuckerberg Initiative will be on "curing disease." Zuckerberg writes that "most people die from five things -- heart disease, cancer, stroke, neurodegenerative and infectious diseases -- and we can make faster progress on these and other problems."

What I meant is his purpose here in Nigeria is business driven not philanthropy. How much does he worth? and from what you have listed it's just a mere scratch compared to his enormous wealth.....
Bill Gates has various foundations and has spent billions of $ in charity to virtually all the continents in the globe..... You dont need to google that to now about Bill Gate's philanthropy

Well done Mark. This is a historic visit to our country... At least there are so many countries he has not visited. That shows how important we are to him.. Long live Mark! I believe, before he leaves finally, we hope to hear some good news, on how we will benefit from his visiting us... God bless Nigeria
The young man sees money in Nigeria we have the largest market in Africa and he's a business man not a philanthropist. So dont think he's coming here to give u free candy.....
If only our leaders can encourage and manage the potentials of the youth we wont be so overwhelmed like this. All these overhyping is becoming irritating.

Nigeria and sycophancy is like 5 n 6

So tell me how a satellite will bring development to ICT in the region? Did Mark set up any institution to train and empower Africans on ICT developments or did he contribute finances(From his deep pockets) through any NGO to that effects?

Dont just get too excited over this greek gift. wake up. It has nothing to do with development it's simply a way to harness every information, data and expand his grasp in the potential African market.

Yeye pikin. You think Facebook cares about bringing development to ur sorry arse calamity.... Now let me educate you a lill since you lack knowledge. Mark is a business man and all these globetrotting his doing is to enable a platform where he can own vast information about individuals and how they interact and live their lives. Hi friends and fans.

I discovered there’s no room for excuses and failure in life, so I aim for whatever I want/need and with burning desire I achieve them.
As an ardent and experienced Film Maker I was contracted to shoot a musical video, though for a friend who was financially incapacitated but needed a video for one of his music tracks; he contacted me and asked me to help shoot his musical video. I billed him 120 thousand naira only but he cried and lamented on how he shot a bird and the mama fled.

In a nutshell, he offered 20k just as an appreciation for the help he needed from me which I accepted because I decided to help him since he needed the video for promotion.

We scheduled a date for the shoot which failed and I became busy, the guy started feeling I ate his money.

I told him the money he offered cannot pay for lights let alone camera and other equipments and logistics including dancers. I went out of my way to help provide these things but I told him I shall be shooting with a SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3.

He was shocked but I explained little things to him and showed him an advert shot for Bentley cars with an iPhone 5s. I told him I would try that and will achieve best result that can compete with videos shot with professional cameras.

He never liked the idea and was skeptical about the whole issue, but I went further with plans because I was in CHARGE, if he doesn’t like my ideas he has the option of finding someone else.

Finally, we started shoot and ended and this is the product below.

THE ENTIRE VIDEO WAS SHOT WITH SAMSUNG GALAXY I9300 S3 ON FREE HAND.
You too can try.

Watch and drop yours views.
My candid advise to all of you out there is don’t be afraid to try something new “Never fail to Dare”
