Presidency for sale by Niyi Oniororo

A 1992 book that details rigging accounts(before & after independence), the dangers of money politics to our nation, what must be done, and the larger fear, if it is not done. It now sits well in the corridors of history and prophecy today.

I don't think I have seen any Atheists that said God doesn't exist for certain, there might be but I haven't seen any.

Let's break this down a bit.

Do you agree that unicorn never existed or not?

I don't say God doesn't exist,

Interesting. Saying something doesn't exist, and lacking believe in the existence of something, what's the difference please? You appear to be confused that I thought.

I say I lack belief in God since it lack evidence, I have no reason to believe God exist until proven.

First, you need to define what you term "evidence". Is there an objective definition of evidence? Does your definition of evidence encompasses what the extension of scientific research limitation?

There might be a God or Gods out there, or even aliens, no one knows what the first cause is or if there is any.

Do you understand the philosophical term called SUBSTANCE?

But I know for sure Allah doesn't exist. That's one thing I know about man-made personal Gods.

You're seeming jittery now. At least we have to take the argument one by one. Let's finish up with the current before discussing this.

There's no evidence of consciousness being immaterial,

Wow! How so? So the brain, a material thing, just started bringing pictures, awareness of one's environment, awareness of oneself, just like that? You goofed here.. And probably you know not what consciousness is.

for now we know consciousness is from the brain further study is still on. Even if consciousness is discovered to immaterial it doesn't suddenly prove your God or does it?

If it doesn't prove God, what does it prove? Consciousness came from nothing too?

For now science has not fully understand the brain, saying well it's God is fallacious.

Science cannot fully understand because science is limited material and empirical. Science doesn't deal with immaterial. How long will you still wait for science to delve into what it's not accustomed to?

There are two cosmological argument on this and both have been explained.
Something can't come from nothing.
Something can come from nothing.
But I don't subscribe to "something can come from nothing".

Logically something cannot come from nothing, practically we haven't experience nothing to know what nothing is, so I don't think something can come from nothing.

Read the bolded again, are you making any sense? How can you say logically it's not possible, but further go on to say, you haven't experienced NOTHING and so you don't know what it is, and yet then concluded that YOU DON'T THINK something can come from the same NOTHING you haven't experienced. Isn't it obvious that you don't even know what you're saying with your obvious confusion of what you know and what you are trying to shy away from?

Let me make it simple for you. What's your understanding of 'NOTHING'? Simple 'I don't know' or give us your understanding of it.

So if something cannot come from nothing, everything must have a cause, so the question is what causes your God?

God is that which is not dependent on anything else and everything is dependent on it.

Don't worry we'll talk at length on this.

Theist are actually the ones believing something can come from nothing.

God exits by necessity. He's the uncaused caused. Please read up argument from necessity and if you want me to school you on it, it'd be a privilege.

No, if we don't understand it now doesn't mean it doesn't exist,

Good. How then are you certain that God doesn't exist if you hold the view that whatever we don't understand yet doesn't automatically rule out its existence?

we shouldn't jump into conclusion it's supernatural or fill the gap with God.

Of consciousness, where do you understand its immaterial part to have come from? You don't understand it today, science will definitely understand it later, but it's definitely not God, right?

It doesn't mean we can't understand it in the future.

You have to give reason why you think God does not exist. That's how to argue, not to say you'll understand why he doesn't later.

In a nutshell we should avoid fallacies.

Why do you think something can come from nothing is not the greatest fallacy ever propagated?

Religion / Re: What Would The Intelligent Designer's Book Look Like? by Riduane: 5:08pm On Apr 05, 2020
Bacteriologist:
If there is a creator of this vast universe, isn't it diminishing to believe he couldn't do better than to communicate with us through old books filled with ancient ignorance?

The Bible and the Quran are both filled with different sorts of ridiculous superstitious nonsense.

The Bible features unicorns, talking donkeys and a snake that talked a woman into disobeying god. Off my head I can list 50 contradictions in the Bible alone.

The Qur'an also endorses a winged horse that flew to the moon, sperm coming from the ribs and an actual arithmetic error when dividing property among people in one of its verses.

Isn't it actually unbelievable how a so-called intelligent designer chose the most perverted, error-filled, irredemably ignorant books, as his own first line representation in the face of humans and still have such a huge fan base?

If a god exists, and is intelligent and loving. It is pretty obvious that the two major books do a poor job of representing him as such. An intelligent designer, if there is one, would do better while inspiring.

Before you come to the intelligent designer book, have you bother to check the even least design of life in human being? Let's start from there.

What's your perspective of the intelligence in the design of human being? Where did consciousness come from?

Mine is even more recent. Maybe about 3 weeks ago. 2 of my very close friends broke my heart with their words. They backbited and one had the gut to come and cast all they've been saying behind me. Just because I've stayed reluctant in engaging in internet fraud with them, they went behind me to call me "lazy ass" and that I'm always feeling entitled to their money. Dafuq? Feeling entitled to your money when you don't even feed me? When you even come to my house to drink garri together with me?
This really broke my heart that I don't think I can ever forgive them. Human are evil.

If this is Muritala "International" Airport, it is a shame. It doesn't worth domestic standard needless to say international.

The entire building needs total demolition and rebuild on 500acres with ultra modern features.

All surrounding structures from left, right, back and front up to 3 miles should be erazed and create space for expanded airport activities.

I just weep for Nigeria.. This country is still living in 1960s despite the so called educated people living there. Common now. ... Look at airport with ugly exit shocked

He doesn't know that deep south states like Florida and Texas; and west coast states like California have tropical climates and the temperature is not too different from ours here, and yet the virus has hit all 50 states in America.

This country abounds with idiots.

You thrive on insult. Your life must have been really miserable.
Health / CORONAVIRUS: Why Nigeria Will Not Get To The Point Of Italy And USA (pics) by Riduane: 12:06pm On Mar 30, 2020
Meanwhile this is just an assumption; a subjective one at it because I'm not even a health expert. Nevertheless based on one or two things that the professional health experts have said about the virus, I think logically we can conclude that Nigeria is a bit safe and may like not get to the point where huge cases of the viral infection are as much as it is in the USA and huge amount of people dying over there in Italy.

Basically, the WEATHER CONDITION comparison.

Kindly take note that I may be wrong. And this thread should serve as schooling and discussion and not rebuking of my personality because I already said I'm an amateur. Nevertheless comparing Nigeria weather with countries like ITALY, USA, SPAIN, FRANCE, CHINA, UK, one will find out that Nigeria is very heating. Yesterday afternoon in Nigeria, the weather stood at 37°C which is very hot. I remember during harmattan last year December, the weather was once 14°C and I felt so cold that to take my bath was a problem. Whereas this kind of cold is a normal thing over there even as of now. The USA was 8°C yesterday or so. A Google search now shows it is 12°C.

Whereas Doctors have on numerous occasions establish that the virus fester more in cold weather, and they find it hard to survive in hot weather. Hence, logically we can conclude that with the current weather in Nigeria, compared to the colder ones in the USA and many parts of Europe, well likely not get to the point of Italy USA etc.

Notwithstanding we must take due precautions as been shared around. We can't afford to take any chances.

Stay home. Stay safe. Don't spread the virus.

Thank you. Pics attached.

I don't think they're taking their citizens because they feel Nigeria is unsafe or something. I fell its basically because Nigeria has close its borders to most of this country, and in this trying time, the need to stay with your family is warranted rather than dying in another man's land.

yes, that's Elmurst hospital in Queens. It is unfortunate Queens was 2nd to the least case but now leading. Very sad.

Although I'm off since Thursday and back to work tomorrow. Ambulances are everywhere picking up sick people. Too much emergency calls overwhelmed authority.

They will no longer accept 911 calls for non-emergency cases like break-ins, domestic violence etc. Emergency calls right now are mostly COVID-19 related or active gunshot.

Nigeria needs to keep it up and folks need to comply with the new regulations to keep cases down. It starts small and later explodes but I hope it is contained under 100.

It happened before in the history of Islam during regime of S. Umar (ra). Solution proferred was STAY HOME AND STAY SAFE. Sahaba ran for cover under rocks and mountains, inside their homes etc and the city was quiet.

If virus doesn't see anyone outside it goes away. That was the instruction of Muadh b. Jabal who later fell prey to the plague and died.

Allah's Aide is sought right now

Most of our people here still don't believe the thing is real. Some are saying it's only affecting the rich an can't get to the poor. They'll not heed to government directives.. Yesterday the chief imam declared that we comply with the government directives on not to observe Jumat where we are over 30, but our people defy and went ahead to pray in an overstuffed mosque. I'm afraid our uneducated population will make it escalate in Nigeria beyond repair.

Government are not helping matters too. No palliatives for people staying off work. People are lamenting and ignoring everything. I'm sure Italy started this way.. Same as US. Allah have mercy on us.

Don't mind the fool. He can only fool the illiterates following him. Nigeria will suffer economically from this current virus situation. It's very obvious that we'll slip into another recession, the chances that we won't is very slim. Amidst this, you expect the government to still go ahead to send 10000 to 30million Nigerians? Atiku is quite aware this isn't possible even if he were to be on the sit power, he won't even muster this. But because he's not there and because he's till eyeing a comeback in 2023, it's very easy for him to muster what's not logically possible to the ear of the illiterates.

looks like heat works in your favor. You don't have high cases compared to us. Ours is quite high. If you guys understand and live up to Islamic standards of purification you could really ward it off.

But unfortunately iya alata, baba eleran and bunch of iya oloja don't wash their hands.

So your cases are low may be due to heat. Your seen how long it took before your cases reached 46 (i think). I don't wanna believe audios that went viral claiming cases might be higher than official disclosure. Again, the reason is I follow cases here and I see how they multiply in seconds because the virus loves cool places.. But looks like it slows down lately here bcuz folks begin to realize importance of social distancing.

In my area just last Thursday was 900 infected people. At of today which is less than a week it is about 5000 cases. See the jump shocked

Wow, that's scary. How have you been coping? I was really concerned. I sent you a mail earlier on.

However, you did not have the virus locally. It was govt that brought in the virus. Why did they keep the damn borders open despite warnings from afar?. They delibrately kept borders open so that their people could come in from overseas. You could see Atiku's son brought the virus and other officials.

But God is so good. Had the virus started in Nigeria your politicians would have escaped to the Western world for treatment while they abandoned you guys. Now this is time of reflection for them to do the right thing by building ultra-modern hospitals across the country. They have no choice now but to use what they have bcuz Western countries are overwhelmed by cases of coronavirus.

I was actually comparing the weather of Nigeria with that of countries where the thing is most hit, turns out our weather is really hot compared to these countries, then I'm a bit relieved we are a bit safe albeit adhering to the precautions.
