CENTCOM Fact Check: 🚫CLAIM: Today, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy claimed that it controls exit and entry to the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting that international mariners can only use routes the IRGC prefers. This is FALSE. ✅FACT: Iran does not control the Strait of Hormuz. The international waterway remains open for transit regardless of IRGC threats and attacks. Commercial vessels continue to use the strait with U.S. military support. Since early May, American forces have helped more than 900 ships transit the strait.

The false campaign portraying the IDF as deliberately attacking footballers was part of a broader effort by various entities to malign the State of Israel. This joins other false campaigns during the war in which Palestinian terrorists killed by the IDF were presented as journalists, aid workers, and other professionals, while concealing their terrorist activity — all in order to promote false claims that these individuals were targeted because of their “civilian” profession. The IDF will continue to work to expose cases of this kind in order to present the full facts and refute claims that do not reflect reality. LISTED TERRORISTS 1. **Mohammad Barakat** – football player – terrorist in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) who infiltrated Israel on October 7. 2. **Mahmoud Kamal Mohammad Ali Al-Rifi** – football player – company commander in the aerial array of the Hamas military wing. 3. **Mohammad Mansour** – football player and coach – deputy commander of the Nuseirat Battalion in the Hamas military wing who infiltrated Israel on October 7. 4. **Ahmad Mohammad Hassan Abu al-Ata** – football player – platoon commander in PIJ. 5. **Abdallah Riyad Abdallah Khatab** – football player – terrorist in PIJ’s anti-tank unit. 6. **Mohammad Sami Mohammad Khatab** – FIFA international referee – PIJ terrorist in the central camps area. 7. **Ali Mahmoud Ahmad al-Kard** – football player and coach – platoon commander in PIJ in Rafah. 8. **Mohammad Imad Ata Hassouna** – football player – terrorist in Hamas’s military wing who infiltrated Israel on October 7. 9. **Tarek Ziad Hussein al-Hour** – football player – terrorist in Hamas’s military wing. 10. **Mohammad Ziad Hussein al-Hour** – football player – platoon commander in Hamas’s military wing in Nuseirat. 11. **Mahmoud Osama al-Jazzar** – football player – fighter in PIJ. 12. > **Mohammad Nidal Mohammad al-Hawajri** – football player – field commander in Hamas’s military wing in Nuseirat. |
Why is everyone suddenly talking about Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain nuclear facility? Because intelligence revealed in recent weeks indicates that the Islamic Republic may have moved thousands of uranium-enrichment centrifuges into tunnels deep inside the mountain. Israel also reportedly assesses that Iran transferred part of its stockpile of highly enriched uranium to the site for further work, possibly toward weapons-grade levels. In other words, Iran may have moved both the machinery and the nuclear material needed to rebuild and advance its enrichment program into the most heavily fortified nuclear facility it has ever constructed. That is why President Trump has now said that Pickaxe Mountain will be destroyed very soon. The facility is believed to be buried more than 100 meters - approximately 330 feet - beneath solid rock. Its deepest chambers may therefore be beyond the reliable reach of America’s most powerful conventional bunker-buster, the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator, also known as the MOP. The GBU-57 weighs approximately 30,000 pounds and was designed to penetrate and destroy deeply buried, hardened targets. Repeated strikes could potentially collapse tunnel entrances, ventilation shafts, access routes, electrical systems, and other supporting infrastructure. But disabling the facility from the outside and physically destroying its deepest underground chambers are two very different things. This is why some analysts believe that the only weapon capable of destroying the heart of the facility may be a nuclear earth-penetrating weapon such as the B61-11, a variable-yield nuclear gravity bomb designed for hardened underground targets. However, no one outside classified military circles can say with certainty whether such a weapon would completely destroy Pickaxe Mountain. Nor can anyone honestly guarantee minimal fallout. A nuclear ground or subsurface detonation would carry grave radiological, military, and geopolitical consequences. Other options may include repeated GBU-57 strikes, collapsing every entrance and ventilation shaft, destroying the surrounding infrastructure, sabotage, or a ground operation. Those methods might render the facility unusable without necessarily pulverizing every chamber beneath the mountain. One thing is crystal clear: the Islamic Republic did not bury thousands of centrifuges and possibly highly enriched uranium beneath hundreds of feet of rock because its nuclear program is peaceful. They built this nuclear fortress to survive. Trump says it will be destroyed very soon. The world may soon discover whether even Pickaxe Mountain is beyond America’s reach.

Zohran Mamdani is the Mayor of New York. Sadiq Khan is the Mayor of London. In both cases, these are positions that demand your full attention be devoted to improving the city you were elected to govern, not obsessing over foreign affairs. Unless an international issue has a direct impact on the safety or interests of your city, it should not be a political priority. Yet both Mamdani and Khan have devoted a disproportionate amount of time to Gaza, Israel, and Israeli politics. Why? Because they're Muslims. Their ideological loyalties come first. What's more, the greatest security threat facing both of these iconic cities has been radical Islamist terrorism. Is that something Mamdani or Khan ever meaningfully address? No. At most, they'll speak vaguely about "terrorism," carefully avoiding the phrase Islamic terrorism. They are more than willing to comment on the politics of a country thousands of miles away, yet noticeably reluctant to speak plainly about the ideology behind the most significant terrorist threat affecting the cities they actually govern. Iranian drone attacks on CIA facilities in the Gulf have prompted U.S. intelligence analysts to investigate whether Russia assisted by providing targeting information or advanced drone technology, said four people familiar with U.S. intelligence. These people, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss national security matters, said U.S. intelligence officials have not yet reached firm conclusions about the possible Russian involvement in the attacks on CIA facilities. But they cited the strikes' effectiveness and apparent precision, as well as Russia's broader technical support for Iran, as possible evidence. -Reuters journalist, Jana Choukeir |

Netanyahu: “On the eve of Tisha B’Av, we remember the destruction of the Temple. We remember the terrible price of the hatreds and excommunications within us. In the last three years, through joint efforts, we have prevented the destruction of the Third Temple. Instead of a war of brothers, we were brothers fighting shoulder to shoulder to repel those who seek our lives. We united our forces, fought like lions, and together saved the State of Israel. We showed the world that the people of Israel is a brave nation, with a brave army, a generation of heroes. We repelled the terror of destruction and achieved monumental accomplishments. Though the task is not yet complete, though many challenges still lie ahead, I am certain in every fiber of my being that we will overcome them. As Prime Minister of Israel, I intend to deepen the unity within us. I will act to establish a broad national government, a stable government that will ensure our security and our future. I know that during an election period there will be debates that make it hard for us to see this, but I also know that we are far more united than it seems. How do I know? Because I saw you in the hour of trial. Because I meet our heroic fighters. Because I saw the people of Israel in all its parts in full glory, a nation that extends a hand to one another. And here is the great lesson: Through baseless hatred we were destroyed, through love of Israel we rose. Together, with the help of GOD, we will ensure the eternity of Israel.” |
Iran Speaker Ghalibaf: “The equation of this war is clear: either all or none! In a region where we do not sell oil, no one will sell oil. If our security is not ensured, no infrastructure will be safe, and the security of the strait is in the absence of American forces. We have repeatedly said that the situation of the strait will not return to pre-war conditions.”

The IDF Publishes: “12 Eliminated Gazan Soccer Players Linked to Hamas and Islamic Jihad” 12 Gazans publicly portrayed as soccer players, referees, and coaches were simultaneously operatives in Hamas and Islamic Jihad’s military wings, and were deliberately targeted and eliminated by the IDF over the course of the war. After their deaths, media outlets, officials, influencers, and soccer organizations accused Israel of targeting athletes to undermine Gazan soccer — claims now proven false, echoing similar debunked allegations that the IDF targets journalists and aid workers. These men weren’t killed for their profession — they were killed for proven terrorist activity, using their civilian cover to exploit protected status and endanger civilians. The IDF does not target Gazan athletes.

Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman, Esmail Baghaei, warned Bulgaria against letting the US use its territory for military action against Iran. He said facilitating such US strikes would make Bulgaria complicit in what he called acts of aggression and war crimes, per Iranian state media cited by Reuters. The statement comes after Bulgaria’s government said it would seek parliamentary approval to host up to eight US tanker aircraft at a Bulgarian air base — Bulgaria being a NATO and EU member. |
Iran’s Communications Minister on US Strikes Damage Iran’s Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Sattar Hashemi, confirmed that US strikes repeatedly severed communications between the mainland and strategic southern islands such as Kharg and Qeshm. Direct quotes from IRNA: • “The enemy repeatedly cut connections between the center and the islands… We maintained stability by supplying equipment and using satellite communications.” • Over 500 communication centers and more than 100 telecom sites were attacked during the recent operations. Despite the damage, rapid repairs and backup systems prevented major disruptions for the public. Island connectivity remained a strategic priority. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu chaired an overnight security meeting that continued for more than five and a half hours, concluding around 1:30 a.m. Following the meeting, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said Israel has no desire to become involved in the current limited confrontation between the United States and Iran, arguing that the ongoing situation—including the U.S. naval blockade—is the most advantageous scenario for Israel. Smotrich said the long-term goal should be to bring about the collapse of the Iranian regime through continued economic pressure. He stressed that Israel is prepared for any development and warned that Tehran would "regret it" if it chooses to launch attacks against Israel.

Amit Segal: A few days ago, the Qataris submitted a proposal to regulate the Strait of Hormuz. A response from the leader was supposed to arrive yesterday, but it did not. The proposal includes establishing a new, designated corridor through which ships could pass, while imposing a moratorium on two other routes (north and south). In other words, allowing traffic, but in a limited manner. In addition, the Qataris are willing to unfreeze $1.3 billion for the Iranians. |
