Navi:You are not better than the people you criticise. Know what that is called? Hypocrisy Navi: Navi: Navi: |
Every bomb blast is due to GEJ's enemies - convenient isn't it But it is lazy. It used to be IBB's fault. But no longer. It is now Buhari's fault But Buhari's campaign was also attacked in Jonathan's home state of Bayelsa If we assume it is Boko Haram, people will also link it with Buhari Conveniently forgetting that the greatest operations by Boko Haram was under Yaradua |
Vanguard and others predicted the celebration. What is Obj and PDP denying? Obj may even now claim that he is not aware that elections will hold next month! Can you imagine Obj not being aware of what PDP Lagos was planning for Bode George when the papers had been awash with news of his impending release! https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-603658.0.html Return of Lagos Boy: Grand reception awaits Bode George as he returns from prison next week http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/02/return-of-lagos-boy-grand-reception-awaits-bode-george-as-he-returns-from-prison-next-week/ "We are preparing for his return. All types of men and women groups from different local government in Lagos State and other states in the South West are expected to come to Kirikiri in a motorcade to welcome him and from there, we would proceed to the Cathedral Church in Marina. By 10 am, he would have left Kirikiri in a convoy and by 12.30pm, the Church service would commence at Marina,” said the source." http://www.transparencyng.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3613:bode-george-others-leave-kirikiri-prison-tomorrow&catid=86:law-crime-a-judiciary&Itemid=151 The Deputy Controller of Prisons, Ailewon Noel, who is directly responsible for Mr. George and the other five convicts refused to comment. The relations and friends of Mr. George are eagerly awaiting his return home and are planning elaborate receptions meant "to shake Lagos". A PDP stalwart and its Senatorial candidate for Lagos West Constituency, Moshood Salvador, said that Mr. George deserve a rousing welcome by party loyalists. "It is glaring to any fool, any dummy that this is a politically motivated imprisonment. Therefore, it was not Chief Olabode George that was imprisoned; it was PDP that was jailed. And that is why you can see everybody going to that Kirikiri. I visited Kirikiri more than twice in a week because we want to sympathise with him. Therefore, when such a person is getting his release, the relief is on each and every member of the PDP in Lagos state." Mr. Salvador said. |
sbeezy8:and joining the chameleonic Jonathan's campaign team erases the crime At least IBB is now a father figure to chameleon Buhari should do the "right thing" and join Jonathan All these talk of being behind bomb blasts will end! |
They included Obasanjo, Governor Daniel, Minister of Defence, Mr. Adetokunbo Kayode, Minister of Environment, John Odey, governorship candidate of the PDP in Ogun, Gen. Adetunji Olurin, Gen. Tajudeen Olanrewaju, George’s former wife, Kaine, Hon. Kamal Olorunoje, PDP chairman in Lagos, Mr. Setonji Kosheodo, Mr. Deji Doherty, Hon. Wahaba Owokoniran, Mr. Lai Ajayi-Bembe and chairman of Daar Communications, Dr. Raymond Dokpesi. Also present were Special Adviser to the President on Parastatals, Braeyi Ekiye, national vice chairman of the PDP, south-west, Alhaji Tajudeen Oladipo, former Ekiti State governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, Dr. Ebenezer Babatope, governorship aspirant in the party, Mr. Owolabi Salis and Mr. Kayode Bawa-Allah, among party bigwigs. Presidency not left behind - |
laplace:Tinubu is a confirmed rogue. Who did the confirmation? And what is EFCC and GEJ waiting for These confirmations come once in 4 years - around Jan - Apr But Jonathan is not associated with rogues? His own minister CONFESSED to taking bribe and the man is still in the cabinet Where are the harliburton suspects? Why did Jonathan send reps to Bode George's gig. These are facts Ribadu/Fola should wait till 2015. Why. Too young I suppose. Buhari, IBB etc are too old. Jonathan is just perfect Now who is being sentimental? Ribadu/Fola should wait till 2015. Ribadu needs to clear his identity. Who is being inconsistent? Why do you think any candidate cannot win if he has the programmes and the campaign Because of sentiments. It is easy to criticise, but examine your own motives |
badesco:Please bring the evidence - Just don't make these accusations from Feb - Apr every 4 years And then go to sleep after the elections TeskyMan:Additional truths - Adedibu's son, Bukola and Gbemi Saraki, Iyabo Obasanjo, Akinjide's daughter, Yaradua's nephew All in PDP Yes by all means frown at Tinubu's nepotism, but if you are going to start telling us the truth, make it whole Partial truth is deceit PDP is not better. If you want to vote for others, go ahead but make sure the people don't decamp to PDP Gov Orji of Abia left PPA for APGA then PDP Ogun State people "dealt with" Osoba and voted for Daniel. Now they cannot seem to get out of the lesson they are learning from PDP - both Obj and Daniel And Akala? The less said, the better |
Lol!!! Wat's our problem? Wat are we crying about? Remi Tinubu? Wat's the big deal? Does that make PDP better? Wat's OBJ doing? Av we forgotten Iyabo is still on track? Are we blind to feel her as the upcoming Senate President? How did Ya'dua got there despite his health status? Lot more from OBJ, abi we do dey dis country? Did you realize Adedibu's son might av been the next IB Gov. if he was alive? Saraki dey Ilorin ooooooooo. All this ppl dey PDP, abi? Please if we don't like ACN for this reason then a beta alternative is needed not PDP. Or are we ready to be slaves for ever?
Thank you. I had even forgotten all these So we ship Lagos State to PDP because of an offence that PDP is guilty of to a greater degree Iyabo Obasanjo never answered for her crime for which Grange (former Minister of Health) was sacked She said EFCC was witchhunting her - an argument her dad never accepted when he was president and she is being groomed for senate president, would have been Olurin's deputy but for alarm raised by some people Adedibu's son, Akinjide's daughter, Bukola and Gbemi Saraki are all in PDP holding political office But PDP without impunity celebrate an ex-convict They say it was politically motivated - by who? Yaradua was president when Bode George went to jail. the attonery general was a PDP man Who then motivated it? Fashola. please PDP can never be the alternative to ACN. But also ensure that the people you are voting for do not make a stop over in Labour or DPN in this election on their onward journey to PDP. Remember Gov Theodore Orji. PPA - APGA - PDP |
TeskyMan:Yes, it is necessary to start telling ourselves the truth. This thread is about PDP and Bode George. But you carefully turned it into a matter about Tinubu. I have no problem with that But 2 things 1. Can you bring the same level of quest for truth to bear on the matter of PDP rally, Bode George and the President's supposed ignorance knowing fully well that At least 2 serving ministers (under Jonathan) were at the church service for Bode George. Go and read the sermon again. So is Mr president not play acting? His minister of state for health admitted taking bribe. Yet the man has not been sacked! 2. The people leaving ACN should think hard. What is the opposition offering. Are the candidates on their way to PDP eventually. Remember that Ogun State people were bent on teaching Osoba a lesson in 2003. They too are receiving lessons of their life from Daniel who is now a sole administrator of the state! |
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-71225.0.html The assets of N295m he declared in 2007 did not include his wife's But place N295m in perspective Deputy Gov for 8 years. Total income of less than N40m! University lecturer before then Nigerians - we are being cunningly played! http://www.naijablog.co.uk/2007/08/goodluck-reveals-his-assets.html Niboro added: "To the Vice President, this is such a time, hence the choice to send you a copy of his declaration for publication. There is nothing to hide, as you can very well see!" A breakdown of the assets showed that the Vice President's private buildings are worth N67, 990,000. These include a four-bedroom duplex in Kpansia, Yenagoa, valued at N15 million, a four-flat storey extension of the family house in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, valued at N10 million and a four-flat storey building at Otuoke, Ogbia Local Council, which was bombed days before his inauguration as Vice President, valued at N18 million. There is also a five-bedroom personal residence in Gwarinpa, Abuja, worth N24.99 million. Under the vehicles and household items, Jonathan declared a total assets of N41.8 million. They include a BMW car in Abuja valued at N15 million, generators, electronics, air conditioners, furniture, kitchen utensils and others in Kpansia, Yenagoa, Otuoke, and Gwarimpa costed at N26 million. The BMW was declared as a gift while the other items were said to be gift or procured from savings. He also declared some vacant and undeveloped plots as worth N60.538 million. They include five undeveloped plots of land in Bayelsa State, two undeveloped plots of land in Cadastral Zone BO2 and AO6 in Abuja . Jonathan listed N62, 072, 200 million as accruing from income yielding investments. This comprises investments in stocks managed by City-Code Trust and Investment Company Limited. He categorised them as 16 different stocks in Nigerian blue-chip companies. The Vice President said that he has four 16-seater passengers' boats for hiring by companies and other agencies. According to him, total cash in Nigerian banks (Bank PHB, Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, UBA and others is N58.984 million. He stated that the total income includes personal savings and income from his investments, among them performing stocks and hiring of the boats. Niboro said that the assets declared did not include those of Jonathan's wife, because "the wife of the Vice President is a public officer, being on the staff of the Bayelsa State Ministry of Education, Yenagoa." "She could, on her own, being in service, declare her assets through laid-down procedures," he added. |
alldone:We accept the imperfections of Jonathan Remember that apart from this, he has refused to sack his corrupt (by self-admission) Minister of state for Health But we refuse to accept the fact that others are human Strip away the sentiments, put the candidates side by side with only your conscience to judge, then decide |
Patrick Utomi or Chris Okotie are the ones we should be rooting for. The other person that come close to their freshness is Goodluck Jonathan. I will be voting for Jonathan Goodluck. The BB trumpeters should just come out clean, if are rooting for Bakare, then that would have been a different ball game if he is the one running for President.
Of course, as a Nigerian, it is your entitlement to vote for Jonathan But let us face it - this is not Feb 2010. What is fresh about Jonathan? Bode George celebration? the partnership with Obasanjo who was prepared to level Anambra state to get a state of emergency? the support of Anenih (the "enforcer" ?the backing of Gbenga Daniel (the sole administrator of Ogun State)? the partnership with Akala ? The fresh man has a lot of stale and odoriferous friends the crafting of the text messages indicting Dokpesi for the bomb blast? the withdrawal of cases against people accused in the Harliburton, Siemens scandal? The retention of a self confessed bribe taker as minister? It is unfair to compare a PDP chieftain of over 12 years with Prof Utomi! |
bestman09:Heart of the matter. LUCK? Chaining the destiny of 150million people to luck? Luck is like kalo kalo. I prefer God's Grace BTW - Goodluck has been lucky; but has Nigeria been lucky with Jonathan in charge? Think, think |
Beaf:This is a lie All Tinubu needs to do is endorse chameleon Jonathan and, like Dokpesi, all his crimes - real, imagined, contrived, big, small, past, present and future - are forgiven and forgotten by you and your paymaster |
Beaf:You told us Dokpesi would go to jail for TREASON what happened? Does joining chameleon Jonathan's campaign erase bombing and killing of Nigerians Verdict : Either Jonathan harasses opponents with fake charges (eg text messages) or Jonathan ignores crime against the country if the criminal supports him |
Beaf:So are we now Americans? Chameleonic traits of Jonathan and his suporters Beaf: Beaf:Yes, he will. Very soon - like Dokpesi Beaf: Beaf:We know their antics but Jonathan does not care anymore - he must win the presidency at all costs. I am not sure that the man is serious about one term anyway As educated folks, we should not allow our actions and thoughts to be dominated by the toing and froing of Jonathan the Chameleon |
seanet02:My bad. You are right. For president? No. Beaf won't have it. Maybe senate president or Lagos State gov. PDP's choice candidates are ex-convicts - remember a man called Obj? |
Beaf:No, he is not! We can contest elective offices, he cannot! Or has Goodluck Azikwe IBB Bode George Chameleon Jonathan secretly given his latest mentor - Bode George - a state pardon? |
againstGEJ:Mingled with repentant sinners, not boastful ones. Show me who you are and I will tell who you are. It is not everybody who associates with people who went to jail for stealing |
againstGEJ:Ma-Blige, please bring evidence! Otherwise keep quiet. Your name is fiction. This statement of yours is fiction |
marabout:The way we always assume that anything that has to do with the Arabs is influenced by religion is baffling! By the time 4 people say maybe, the 5th person's post will proceed as if the matter has been proved A lot of Nigerians (of all religious persuasions) enter Libya illegally on their journey to Europe. These people are at the mercy of the Libyan authorities. The government need to have some channel of communication with the Libyans whenever these Nigerians get into trouble |
Gaddaffi is history. It will be difficult for him to outlive this. The west has never really liked him and now he has reacted in a criminal manner to protests. A lot of people have turned against him. They must work to bring his regime to and end, otherwise they too are finished. |
Sagamite:Special Forces? This is Nigeria. Britain & Co will have to provide the SF. Like you mentioned - what was their performance in the terrain of the Niger Delta, let alone Libya? |
Pharoh:Sorry. US announced sanctions as SOON as the plane carrying last Americans left Libyan airspace. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/ http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-12435110 |
rasputinn:Read very well before criticising. I repeat, read. Countries are evacuating anyhow they can - land, sea, road - because the situation at the airport is chaotic. Read the full story - rather than single out a new airlifting operation being arranged. I can give you additional links Your problem is that you want to give the impression that the rescue operation under Jonathan is no worse than those of other countries. That is true to the extent that the problem we have is not due to Jonathan - take coffee and read my post. I also said that unlike in the past Jonathan is mounting rescue operations But you get jittery as soon as any hint of criticism comes Jonathan's way and you switch to defensive mode by reflex action. Jonathan is not perfect - he is human. Attempts to paint him otherwise is not really a good way to justify the pay for that job Our problem with Libya is due to age-long rivalry and we don't really have the muscle to browbeat them. Libya cannot deny landing rights to US, China & Co. The airport being under threat makes it difficult to evacuate people smoothly. The situation would have been clearer were Gadaffi in full control of Tripoli and the airport. He remembers what Regan did to him and he cannot toy with the US. But Libya CAN and will DENY landing rights to planes from Nigeria due to our relative importance. What can we do really? |
^^^ Were I a soldier in 1983, I would have participated in the coup. Why did people boot out Mubarak? Afterall he was a president who won an election. Was it not a Rawlings that sanitised Ghana through a coup after shooting some past leaders which Buhari did not even do. Why did Nigerians celebrate when the coup of 1983 was announced. Ask Shagari about austerity measures and the Economic Stabilisation Act of 1982. Ask him about people killed in 1983 during their "landslide victory" in the midst of rapid and growing hardship? Please ask Akinloye - who was chairman of NPN - who celebrated his birthday with branded imported champagne when legitimate importers could not get forex. Ask the politicians who were mere paupers in 1979 how they were able to live abroad after the coup? Please get some education |
What do you expect from a PDP man At least we are seeing that all these claim of fresh air is a ruse. How can you be fresh while wallowing in a cesspit |
rasputinn:Another propaganda by a GEJ die-hard. Truth - GEJ has made efforts to evacuate Nigerians unlike what happened in the past. But truth is other countries are evacuating their people. Nigeria may be having problems securing landing rights because Libya can confront us. How do you think Libya will dare deny Germany, China, France etc landing rights to bring their citizens home? A few tomahawk missiles at this time, with information supplied by people protesting his rule, and Gaddafi will be history. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-12552374 |

And why did Obj not jail him when the case was first brought before him by Ribadu?BTW - the court sentenced him to 2 years imprisonment. It is not as if Obj could have dictated that - he was no longer the president and he could not have forseen what will be happening now! Please let us analyse issues a little |
delimit:The man was jailed under Yaradua. So who motivated it? - ACN, ANPP or CPC? Was there no evidence of his economic (rather than political) guilt - Nothing good can come from this PDP
it is high time bode george is released i mean when likes of tiunbu and obj are still working free why should bode be jailed ![]() thank God is out
So why only Obj and Tinubu. Do you have special evidence against them? I believe that we have a lot of people from every part of this country who cannot explain their wealth. BTW - I am not sure we should be thanking God that a criminal who was jailed by a courageous judge is out! recoome:Exactly! I wonder why we report armed robbers to the Police recoome:So Tafa who went to jail under Obj would have his forfeited assets sold and the proceeds handed over to the most bitter enemies of Obasanjo. This is not really a beer parlour where people are too drunk to even recognise their image in a mirror! |
Finally, NNPC admits: ‘We are broke’ http://businessdayonline.com/NG/index.php/news/76-hot-topic/18480-finally-nnpc-admits-we-are-broke Austen Oniwon, group managing director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), finally admitted that the Corporation was broke, laying to rest the denials surrounding the dire situation of the state-owned oil firm’s financials which was first brought to the limelight in 2010 by ex-minister of state for finance, Remi Babalola. “We have to suspend increase in remuneration. The account of the organisation is in the negative; corporate failure is imminent unless urgent transformation is carried out” Oniwon told the stunned gathering. NNPC not broke, but a going concern, FEC declares http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/News/5594178-146/nnpc_not_broke_but_a_going.csp FG denies Babalola on NNPC, says firm is solvent Akunyili said: "NNPC, from the auditor's account, is a going concern and does not have solvency issue as a corporation. Therefore, categorically, NNPC is not insolvent "We have many transactions between the NNPC and the Federal Government. What you saw yesterday was just balances arising from two types of transactions that we have made, and that was the point they were trying to make yesterday. So, it is incomplete and it doesn't give you the complete picture. Once reconciliation is done, payment goes back and forth between the two entities", Aganga said. He stated that "the payment we made to NNPC is done regularly but as you know NNPC is a great concern that is involved in all the joint ventures we have in the country, and with all international oil companies (IOCs). We still have all the wells and all other parastatals related to the NNPC". http://www.businessdayonline.com/NG/index.php/typography/the-news/12749-fg-denies-babalola-on-nnpc-says-firm-is-solvent |
