Rather what did the anonymous writer of John mean by claiming Jesus said I am and at the same time claiming that the Jews tried to stone him so as to make it seem as if he was referring to himself as god.

Although there are certain things they go about doing that i don't agree with: like the way they go about with the picture of Niyass. This happened in my area when i was still living Sabo.. i used to have the video on my phone back then.

As far as i know - been that i lived with them for over 5years, they don't go about prostrating to their clerics. The man prostrating in the video is actually a politician. One of the rich men in my hood back then. The man though shouldn't have allowed him to prostrate for him, since its obvious the man is an ignorant fellow.

Perhaps I would take my time to create a thread next week on the person of Jesus. Is Jesus God? Obviously no! Then what is He? He is the Father's Son who was around at the time of creation and came in as a man. He was quick to point this out. He prayed to The Father several times and taught His disciples to pray in this manner.

Did Paul get the character of Jesus right? Perfectly! You want scriptural backings not from Paul but thebOld Testaments? Please wait till next week. Would sure point that out to you.

When John said: "....the word is GOD" what does he mean?

there is only one God,who is the maker of the universe,Jesus proceeded from the father and also the holy spirit all share in divinity of the father the God, Jesus is equal with God and hence can be called God the son,God created everything through him,when God is always speaking in Bible or Koran they us the word 'We' or let us,showing you that God doesn't take parallel decisions.

If Jesus is equal with God then automatically he is God or what do you think?If He himself was God with a capital G, how could he be God, if God was God, and there were not a number of gods, not even two gods, but only one God? How could Jesus be God and God be God and yet there be only one God? How did Jesus move from being a human to being God—in any sense?

The Bible is not clear as to whether Jesus is God or not. At a point in time the bible said he is God and in some other places it said he is not. This means that for those who want to claim Jesus is God or not, it is easier for them to pick and interprete the verses that suits their opinion.

In my own view, however, the only book where Jesus is explicitly refered to has God is the book of John. And as we all know, John was written by an anonymous author over 100years after Jesus death and so cannot be reliable. The closest gospel written after the death of Jesus thatwould have been perhaps more reliable was the letters of Paul which was written 20years after the death of Christ. And again as we all know, Paul didn't meet Jesus and doesn't know much about him. In fact in all his letters he hardly quotes or referenced Jesus in them. However, Paul's view of who Jesus was is totally different from John's view.
