Hello everyone. On the issue of birth certificates, I have one from the federal hospital I was born in, but as I was going through this thread and previous ones people were mentioning an NPC certificate and I do not have that. I mentioned I'd be using a sponsor, and the sponsor is a parent so I need to put the birth certificate. Will the hospital's birth certificate be okay or I need one from the NPC? |

iamnlia: Just saw your post. I'm travelling too in September for the exam and I had to submit a letter to my LGI about 2 days ago. Letter was addressed to the DG. Might take some time to get a reply but I'll use the response letter as proof of ties. If I don't get a reply in a month, I'll try without the approval letter. Yeah, most people I know don't even mention it at all. I've got a good travel history to a couple of Western countries as a teen and adult so that should help. Maybe you could do it that way too. If you're traveling in Sept, won't it be late by time the response of the DG letter comes out? |

Ayobamichemical: You made a very good point, but I have not heard of such. What's with the UK with NYSC? Isn't NYSC a form of employment like other employed people who get their visiting visa approved in active civil service after showing accurate proof of sabbatical breaks or need to visit on holidays? Do they really want to troubleshoot how that works in the country? What, I presume, should be important is showing ties to return to the country, and NYSC PPA letters show that. Whatever leave time or absence arrangement from NYSC is between the corp member and LGI or where the corp member works. People even get approved student visas during NYSC and abandon the whole program. Plus, these corp members have flexibility with work schedules, and most only report occasionally while doing biometrics monthly. Unfortunately, I do not know of any NYSC member either denied on the service year basis or approved, so if you have any concrete information regarding this, kindly share it. Thanks. Thank you so much for this. I don't have concrete evidence really and it's basically word of mouth and 1 post I saw on Naira land here posted in 2012/13 or so. But I left it out anyway. And just attached letter of leave and introduction from my ppa |

AmbFitsaint: I guess it is plab u are going for . Ideally, corpers should get permission from the DG when going outside the country. The process may take a while.
NYSC is a tie to Nigeria. Just your employer to write a letter of leave absence for you .
Plab2 visa is rarely rejected Thank you. I have decided not to even mention it. I am currently working in a government hospital subsidiary too. So I will use my salary account there to show I have a job as well as the introduction letter and letter of leave. The NYSC salary and the government facility salary can't sponsor the trip but they can prove home ties. So i'll just indicate both as my salary. I have a sponsor and their account is very healthy so I have left it at that. |

Hello, please I'm hearing Corp members are not allowed to travel to the UK during their service year? Please is it true? I'll be traveling for examination... As my account contains the allowance from NYSC and my employer... Should I make sure I state this in a visa application? Please I'm so confused |

Ayobamichemical: Thank you #Cashmadam. I appreciate your comment. He will upload a support letter from his supervisor at work for the weeks of leave approval that indicates his return date of duties in response to your inquiry about proofing his return. In addition, he will upload his NYSC PPA letter, which shows a probable discharge date of October 31st. He plans his visit from September 19th to October 2nd (~approximately 2 weeks). He will not be requesting funds into his account as POF again, as advised by you to avoid account padding, but he stated his yearly additional income from family to be N420k and will be uploading only his brother's, who is fully sponsoring his trip, financial details (payslips, UK employment letter, BRP document). Kindly give your advice and any suggestions about the application now. Hello, please I'm hearing some things about how NYSC members are not allowed to travel to the UK during their service year. Please do you know anyone who is a Corp member who this UK visitor's visa has worked for? |

Hello, please I'm an NYSC Corp member planning to write an exam in uk in September. I have 5m sponsorship for a 2 week trip and my sponsor has enough funds. They've sent the money to me and indicated this in the sponsorship letter. I have a good travel history. Been to the US 3x and south Africa 1x. How else can I prove ties to Nigeria, with putting a letter from my employers at my PPA be enough?? |
