How can a husband asks his wife show concern and drop something to support atleast a part of one of the children's school fees/text books and she is resisting?

The husband has been repsonsible for the school fees and wellbeing of the 4 kids, but in this first term, the school fees have increased and the need to get a little support from a wife is creating discord.

The Federal government job the wife is doing was offered to her through the husband(originally meant for him), while the husband rather opted to be in the street hustling and in school too.

To cushion the effect of transportation, the husband had years sold his Bolt business car to buy a tokunbo car for her, as means of getting to and from work. Now the woman is working and at the same time running a side business, using the car as a support.

Anytime issue of supporting the family comes up, she flares up, whereas she sends money to family back home often (which am not critical of).

Out of the 4 kids, the husband has told her to take up a partial responsibility for one of them who is in JSS 3, because the fee is high.

Is it unmanly or wrong for a husband to call a wife to show support for children's school fees(at most partial support for one out of 4 kids)?

Or is she resisting this because she is used to not supporting before now, as i have never called for her support in any way before now?

TINUBU DECIDED TO TEACH El Rufai why they call him the master strategist.

Now, a lot of people were angry when I said that: "El Rufai did almost nothing" before he was arrested.

Well, let me explain something to those who may not understand politics very well. I mean, Nigerian politics.

You and I know that it is now a culture in APC that once you join the party, all your sins will be forgiven. That's why we have majority of the corrupt politicians in Nigeria, in the APC. The simple reason is not because they love the party; they are looking for umbrella ☔ from criminal prosecution.

Now, Mallam Nasir El Rufai was the Minister of the FCT from 2003 to 2007. Everything he did as minister, is on record. He was the Governor of Kaduna State for 8yrs under the APC, from 2015-2023.

And when he stepped down as governor, he took up the ambition of making Tinubu the president of Nigeria. He was vital and viral. He rubbished Peter Obi by calling him a mere content creator. He said the entire vote from the south east will be easily swallowed up by one local government in Kano.

For those who know him, El Rufai is a force. The north do not joke with his words.

He was one of the founding members of the APC in 2015. With his political weight, he campaigned vigorously for Tinubu. He followed Tinubu like a Tse Tse fly everywhere including Chatham House. He was the person Tinubu assigned to answer questions on insecurity at far away Chatham House.

And when they came back, he followed Tinubu to almost all his campaigns. And when Tinubu allegedly won the election, Mallam Nasir El Rufai was the "ONLY" human being that Tinubu "BEGGED" openly to work for him.

I chose my words carefully when I said "begged" and "openly".

Tinubu begged him openly to work for him. El Rufai was reluctant at first, but he later agreed to work for him. But behind the scenes, APC stalwarts reasoned together and advised Tinubu to drop him for some undisclosed political reasons. But Tinubu did not tell him that he had decided to drop him. Tinubu decided to use the senate screening as the tool to drop him, so that he can be absolved from open blame.

Then, ultimately, El Rufai was screened down by the senate. Tinubu did not intervene. But El Rufai, as a human being, was angry. How can you beg me openly to join your government, and you go behind to drop me, without telling me? And he had to face the senate without knowing he had already been dropped.

That was the beginning of their frosty relationship. El Rufai felt that Tinubu had embarrassed him, and rightly so. The senate already knew him. He was once a minister of the FCT. He was also a two time governor. So, why did he fail the senate screening? What was it that those that passed the screening had that he didn't have? Indeed, his political credentials were much larger than those that passed.

So, the decision to drop him was difficult to understand logically and even politically. The only explanation is that he had already been voted down before he stood before the senate. Of course, Tinubu had the prerogative to tell Akpabio and co to scale El Rufai through. So, the excuse that he failed the senate screening was illogical and lame.

The relationship between Baba El Rufai and Tinubu got tastelessly sour.
El Rufai was bittered as every other human being would be. Of course, APC became uncomfortable for him and he had to exit the party.

But he planned to revenge.

The mistake he made was to reveal his plans to early. He forgot he was dealing with a ruthless politician who is probably better than him at the game. So, immediately he left the APC, he publicly disclosed that he was one of the masterminds behind Tinubu's emergence, and that he was going to bring Tinubu down. He acknowledged carrying Tinubu at his back into the seat. And he pledged, in his own words, "TO CORRECT THE MISTAKE" of helping to bring Tinubu on board.

That was his ultimate error.
With that, he had extended a handshake of battle with the master strategist.

APC knew that El Rufai pulls a lot of weight in the north. Well, everyone knows that too. El Rufai is not a stock you should wish away. He is not a stock you should ignore either. He is someone that is either with you, or you take him out. Do not let any embers of the fire smother. Use water and douse it completely; else, it will reignite and consume you.

You cannot afford to allow a leopard roam around your pen.

They decided that El Rufai must be quarantined. He must be out of circulation as fast as possible. And to take him out of circulation, all you have to do was to open his books and pick one of his crimes, and that's it. And when they finally beamed their torchlights on him, it wasn't hard finding something to use against him.

He was arrested for eavesdropping on security information. He gave himself in by disclosing that he was tapping security information. A man on wanted list now showed up with his two legs. They also added some other sundry crimes to balloon the charge sheet.

Now, some people said that the reason why they arrested him was because he committed heinous crimes against the people of northern Kaduna.

I laugh.

Well, I don't have the data to question that. But I just wish to remind those peddling that narrative that Tinubu knew of all those things he allegedly committed, but they never opened that chapter until he fell out with Tinubu.

Why did they suddenly remember those crimes just when he fell out with Tinubu? Why didn't they prosecute him immediately he stepped down as governor? Why did they wait till he entered the bad books of the ruling party?

So, the travails of El Rufai is more political than criminal. If he had remained in APC, do you think he would be behind bars today? And if, from his present confinement, he pledges to re-join the APC and to campaign for Tinubu, don't you think his sins are likely to be forgiven again?

Look, politics is a game. Tinubu is not just a master in it, he is a grandmaster of politics. El Rufai thought he was dealing with a local government chairman when he went on air, telling the world how he would make sure Tinubu goes back to Lagos.

Alas, Tinubu used his joker to dislodge him.

I believe El Rufai will come out, but that would be after the elections. He cannot be allowed to disrupt Tinubu's plans. Sometimes, the best way to handle a dog is simply to put him inside a cage. That's all.
